On the evening of September 5th, The
Citizens Bank of Denver was burglarized

nearly $1 million, the largest burglary
in Denver's recorded history.

The thieves had gained access to the
vault by constructing a tunnel five feet

beneath the surface of a downtown
street, a tunnel that began in the

a recently rented building and was to
lead the FBI into one of its most

cases.

The Denver office says the building was
rented six weeks ago by a man calling

himself Richard Denton.

So far, it's proved to be an alias.

What about the real estate agent
handling the transaction?

He described Denton as about 35, 6 feet,
brown hair, full

beard. He said he was pleasant enough.
He didn't talk much.

Just came in one day, asked to look at
the building and rented it. But the only

unusual thing was that he gave him cash.

Did he sign a lease?

The documents section is trying to
identify the signature now.

The identification division hasn't come
up with anything yet on the fingerprints

taken from the building and the vault.

entering. Wanda Moore was found guilty
of being an accessory.
