in an explosion at the Los Miendres
Naval Depot outside San Diego, was

the intensive care ward of the Balboa
Naval Hospital.

Fernandez, in critical condition and
shock, was conscious only long enough to

give a partial description of a late
model yellow sports car in which the two

unidentified occupants fled.

Because the crime had occurred on a U
.S. government reservation.

sabotage, the Federal Bureau of
