On November 16th, less than an hour
after the People's National Bank in

Bakersfield, California was held up and
a deputy sheriff killed, the FBI entered

the case.

Inspector Louis Erskine, who was
currently in the area, immediately

-the -scene supervision.

With him was Special Agent Tom Colby.
