On August 27th, a Belldome Laboratory
driver was murdered on a backcountry

near Los Angeles.

He had been transporting a testing
sample of a new incombustible liquid

TD4. TD4 was vital to America's space
program.

It had been hijacked.

Though the hijacker left no living
witnesses, FBI men soon came upon

significant clues.

The Los Angeles agent in charge, Brian
Durant, immediately contacted Bureau

headquarters in Washington, D .C.

All right, thank you.

Oh, Brian, Lewis is here with me. He
told me what happened.

You sure it was espionage?

Oh, yes, sir. I don't think there's any
question about that. Where was the

shipment going, Brian? The U .S. missile
testing site in Nevada.

Is this Beldum's usual method of
transportation, camper?

Well, no. The man in charge of the
project, Dr.

Earl Latimer, suggested it. He thought
it would be more inconspicuous.

Well, I'll be out there at 3 o 'clock
your time. Set up an interview with Dr.

Latimer, will you? Right.

What do you know about the hijacker,
Brian?

Well, he rode a motorcycle, and he was
evidently wounded in the holdup.

We found a considerable amount of blood
where the motorcycle had been parked.

I've alerted all the clinics and
hospitals in the area.

I think a 24 -hour surveillance and code
green consulate would be a good idea,

recently, and this kind of espionage has
been a specialty of Fisher's for 20

years. But I don't think he was ready
for the kind of publicity the hijacking

would cause, and I don't think there was
time for a transfer to be made.

And now he seems to us to be waiting.

We're not sure.

Maybe until the wounded man's well
enough to travel. Maybe until a new
