For weeks, FBI agents in Northern
California have been working to develop

of a link between La Cosa Nostra
chieftain Frank Williams and the

flow of gambling information.

An informant's tip had indicated that a
syndicate runner would be entering

California by truck on June 2nd. A
search warrant was obtained.

But with the disappearance of the
truck's driver, the hot trail had

grown cold.

We found these bedding slips by the
truck. The U .S. attorney thought it was

enough to issue a warrant.

The owner of the rig was still conscious
when we found him.

He identifies the fugitive as his
brother, Michael Riley, and he admits

Michael was a runner for the syndicate.

I know. I stopped at the hospital.

No sign of a trail.

Well, none so far.

There's a county highway about a mile to
