All language subtitles for Divas Desert Heat (2003)

This is a totally different shoot than I've ever been on.

I don't know who thought of it, but it was a great idea.

This is my first time out here in Arizona.

It's pretty cool.

It's wonderful here in Phoenix.

I think all the divas would agree that it's great to...

We love the Bahamas, don't get us wrong,

but we also are enjoying not having sand in our pants this time.

I think it's different doing a swimsuit shoot in a place where there's no water.

You need to adapt with your surroundings, just like anything.

Arizona is really great.

The people are nice and friendly, and they make you feel comfortable here.

And it's just pretty much laid back.

I'm from the East Coast. I'm completely a Jersey girl.

That's the big hair.

I really haven't had many experiences out here,

but the ones I've had here with the WWE have been really exciting and fun.

It is so beautiful out here to have the mountains and the desert,

and the weather has just been perfect.

So I'm really glad we came out to Arizona this year.

I think it's good to give a different look.

It makes people want to see a different style of creativity

other than the same old swimsuit at the beach.

Before I got here, I was like, oh man, there's not a beach.

But now that I'm here, this is great.

We're shooting up in mountains, and who would have thought,

you know, bathing suits and mountains and just like Western and bathing suits.

So it's just like very different, and it gives it that artistic kind of feel.

How many shots can you get in the water?

It's kind of the same look all the time.

But this one is beautiful.

To me, this is kind of about the rocks and the dirt and the mountains,

and you know, that's what it's about.

The sun comes up, and it's a different, it's a totally different picture

than I've ever seen and ever shot with before as well.

The sun has a different glow to it and a different light to it out here.

And it's cool to come and have that.

You know you're going to go out and make a completely new picture,

a completely new scenery.

It's really, really refreshing.

This morning, we went up to this place that had caverns,

it had mountains, it had a lake.

I mean, it was gorgeous.

I just want to say that we are in a beautiful, beautiful environment.

We're on, like, mountain ranges and whatnot,

and we have to actually climb the mountains to get to the shooting.

See that, the car way down there?

That's where we started, and this is where we are,

and that's where we still got to go.

We did some stuff by a lake this morning

with the lake and the mountains in the background.

I've been really happy with everything that we've shot.

You literally went from here, here, here,

and you had three different shots.

It was wonderful.

So, you know, if you can have one location

that provides that many sceneries, it's great.

Last year was sand and water,

and, you know, all the pictures are nice,

but this is getting the flavor.

You can't duplicate this, that's for sure.

Get out of my face with that.

I've always been kind of my nutcase.

Ask Al Snow, he'll tell you.

He always says,

Energy, I've just always had a lot of energy.

Maybe my grandma, my little grandma,

is looking over my shoulder

because I have two great-grandmas.

They've passed away.

But my grandma, Benson,

she's this hot little,

hot-to-trot Spanish lady, you know?

And the hardest thing for her

in growing old was to slow down.

And she had this pacer in her chest,

keeping her heart going

for about 20 years.

Sometimes I think that

I have her genes or something,

her energy genes.

And I love what I do.

This is where I want one topless shot.

Can I jump on through?

Only one you get,

only one topless shot.

Our first location shoot

was at this little Pueblo.

And it was kind of like

an abandoned,

topless,

little stone building,

like a house.

And right when I walked up to it,

I thought,

oh, this is just total diva size,

except for Stacy Keebler.

You know,

she'd probably bump her head

in the doorways,

but it was like

for the five-foot and under club.

Oh, it's like we're just

hanging out at the ranch.

Just kick him.

The neat thing about that shoot

and that location

was that we all showed up.

We had Jacqueline

and Jazz and myself

and Jackie

from Tough Enough, too.

And we all had

our different photographers

and our different setups.

Of course,

we were all getting

in each other's way.

Holden, diva's coming through.

Yeah.

Snake skin clad diva

coming through.

You know,

I'm begging you

to get an ass, Jackie.

You want some of mine?

And I got some extra.

It was really fun

to be there with the girls

and to kind of share

in their moment.

It was really fun

to see them doing their shoots.

I just always hope

for a photo

that looks like who you are,

meaning physically,

it's you.

You're not transformed

into some creature

that you can't recognize.

All of the diva photo shoots

have captured that

in me

and all the divas.

What's wonderful

about the divas

and the photo shoots

and actually working

with the WWE superstars,

I've said it a million times,

that there's never

a dull moment.

And it's like,

you know,

a little sitcom action

over there,

a little stand-up over here,

a little song and dance

from you.

I don't have to work

very hard

to be entertained.

And that's just

a joy to me.

So if I seem

to have a lot of energy,

it's because

I'm not having

to expend a lot

to have a great time.

It's just so easy

and fun

everywhere we go.

Papago Park

was another place

where it looks like

you're in a studio

and someone just

pulled the backdrop

down, you know?

It's like,

nobody's gonna believe

that we were here

because it looks so fake.

It's so pretty.

It was so beautiful.

Gosh, the shots.

There's a big hole

in the rock

and you can see through

and the sky was so blue.

It was unbelievable.

The clouds,

I've never seen them.

They were like

almost trippy looking.

Just the clouds

were so pretty.

Craig and I shot

some really cool stuff

up on the top

of the rocks.

There was a big,

huge hole.

He kept saying,

this is the cover shot,

this is the cover shot.

And of course,

when you hear that,

you're like,

oh, this is,

we gotta make sure

this is extra good.

You're sucking in

extra hard.

But we got some

really cool stuff there.

This diva shoot

in the southwest

has been wonderful.

The weather

is not too bad.

It kind of reminds me

a little bit of Texas,

you know,

but everything's been

great so far.

Everybody's been so courteous

and generous

and so nice.

I like that look.

Doing a diva shoot

is a lot of fun,

but it's a lot of work,

too.

and I see

what models

have to go through.

All right,

it's a lot of work

The photographers

are great,

but sometimes

they can be

a little bit

too bossy now.

they're wonderful.

I love working

with all the photographers.

looks phenomenal today.

Away from the ring,

I'm pretty serious,

very shy,

but when I'm in the ring,

I'm just a different person.

When the lights

and the camera

is on me,

I perform,

I go.

Do I consider myself

tough in the ring?

Why?

Of course.

I mean,

you want to step

in the ring with me?

A lot of people

don't like wrestling me,

and I don't know why.

You know,

I don't know why.

You know,

accident happens.

You know,

you might get a broken arm

or a broken leg

or a broken nose

or a busted lip

or your teeth knocked out,

but I don't know why.

They don't want to step

in the ring against me.

That's all part of it,

and you know,

accidents do happen.

I'm an athlete,

I'm a wrestler,

I'm an entertainer,

and that's what I love to do.

I love to perform.

If they want me to be in,

like, a magazine,

Diva magazine,

videotape and stuff like that,

that's fun,

that's great.

I love doing it.

You know what,

I don't try to look sexy,

but if it come across

that I am sexy,

then it's all good,

you know.

I am who I am,

and if it come across

that I'm sexy,

then so be it.

Over at the Pueblo,

about halfway through the chute,

somebody spotted a rattlesnake.

There's a rattlesnake right there.

Oh, cool.

I mean, luckily,

because it was so wrapped around

and camouflaged in these stones,

it was next to a stone wall.

Oh, he's so soft.

I think it had just eaten

because it was

in a very peaceful mood.

That was my first time

seeing a rattlesnake.

This is very, very pretty

being here in Arizona,

and I think it's great

for photo shoots.

I think it's great for vacation.

It's really neat

being out here in the West

because it's something different.

Last year,

we were in the Bahamas,

and it was very

walk outside the room

to the beach,

and it was, you know,

on your poses

and what you're doing.

And this year,

it's very about the scenery.

Oh, you're going to do

everything right, Stacy.

Last year was my first bikini shoot ever.

So having that year experience

under my belt

really helped out this year

because I knew

what kind of suits actually

to go for,

how to prepare my body

for the shoot.

I've always been skinny,

but last Diva shoot,

I started working out.

Someone special has been

really helping me

and pushing me.

I started working out

with weights,

and all of a sudden,

I have abs

that just came out of nowhere,

and I'm so proud of them.

But they won't be there next week

because I'm going to

totally pick out.

I love to say

that we hiked 20 minutes

up here because

that's just showing

how much effort

we're putting into this shoot,

you know?

And I got some

sun while I was there

and it's going to be like that.

I try to look at the place

and the photographer

and our assistant.

Everybody looks at it

and what would look the best?

What kind of look

are we going for?

Are we going for sexy?

Are we going for playful?

And then sometimes

what I think

isn't always

what the photographer thinks

and I think he knows best

because he's actually seeing it.

All right,

turn yourself a little bit more

It's very hard to do this.

I am very surprised

that sometimes

it's almost every time

And we take one bathing suit

we'll shoot

in a couple different backgrounds

we'll shoot

a couple different poses

and so we usually

get something

out of all of that.

I'm like genuinely

playful and happy

and smiley.

I do that the best.

it comes very easy.

For me to be sexy

is like very hard

because I can't stop giggling

like I'm like

because I know

that's hard for me.

and different is always good

an old wagon

with an american flag

draped on it

that we use

my homage

to our beautiful country

it's very competitive

I want my swimsuits

to look the best

I want my outfits

to look the best

but as I was thinking

it's not about me

it is truly about

I definitely want to do

my own thing

and my own style

and work with a photographer

and I mean

I'll definitely look over

and admire

what another diva is doing

but I don't want to

take that style

I do smile

in some of my pictures

but a lot of it

I think is really sexy

kind of sassy look

so I like to use that

it's great

a lot of my bathing suits

and a lot of my costumes

probably about 90% of them

I design myself

just put a lot of thought

into them

because I do that

I really feel that

I'm wearing them

when I wear them

and I feel real comfortable

when I'm designing them

I kind of have an idea

of what I'm trying

to get across

I always like to kind of

march to my own beat

it gets me in trouble

sometimes

but

I just kind of like

to just do the opposite

of what everyone else is doing

so I maybe look

a little different

it's the people

you're working with

I'm pretty comfortable

though with falling

into posing

kind of finding my niche

and seeing what works

I have a couple

natural poses

that I like to go to

it's great

I mean everybody

that you're working with

will tell you

just turn your head

a little bit

this way or that way

and that's what you need

to see the other person

on the other side

of the camera

this lightest subtle difference

makes or breaks a picture

if I'm in a position

and I'm flexing

so that everything

looks right

it's almost like

working out

all day long

with no sleep

different time zone

it's a tough thing

but gosh darn

we're here to produce

incredible photos

incredible video

incredible TV

and when you look

at what you've produced

it's like

the hard stuff

that comes along

with the photo shoot

kind of goes out

of the window

when you see good stuff

that's what we're here for

so it's all good

sometimes I look

at the digital camera

just look at the picture

I'm like

hmm

she's not looking too bad

no I think that was

everybody's reaction

at one point or another

there's so many elements

that go into

making a good picture

and making awesome magazines

and hopefully one day

calendars and pinups

we do a lot of stills

in the studio

and you just stand there

looking pretty as possible

to be able to just go out there

and just see grass

pompous grass

and then Henry will just

put you there

and pose you

and then you see it

through the digital screen

and just think of that

I guess that's why

he's a photographer

but he's very good

and it was awesome

first you have a swimsuit shoot

it's going really really well

have great crews to work with

and they're a lot of fun

we've gotten some awesome shots

some really good locations

and everything

but it's a lot of fun

all of us girls make it fun

it's really mentally tiring

but that's our job

and that's what we picked

and that's what we chose

and I love it

and I really do

I would not be doing anything else

if I was to be reborn tomorrow

and say okay

when they first told us

we were coming to the desert

that was like the joke

next to a cactus

but once we started

seeing the shots

we're like wow

this is perfect

the ghost town

I don't know where

they dug that treasure up

I mean that was awesome

it provided some

such a unique backdrop

especially for this shoot

literally we had the bordello

we had the saloon

we had the old train

we had the

I mean it was

such an authentic

looking thing there

our photographers

really went out of their way

to come up with ideas

some a little bit dangerous

it was really an adventure

every time the photographer

his eyes would light up

and say

oh I've got this great spot

over here

come take a look

boy the photographers

really helped make the shots

I like this look better

I think I can appreciate

it a little bit more

I'm obviously having fun

with this

the American Indian culture

and the cowboy look

it's fun

it's like Halloween

for me

since we're in Arizona

we did more of a southwest theme

but it didn't really make

a big difference

as far as the photo shoot

we're still doing similar posing

and it's still the basic format

so

And we'll be right back.

And, of course, it had that real, authentic feel because, you know, it really actually was

authentic.

You had these neat props to play with, which it makes for a neat picture.

What I did was kind of neat.

We actually hopped on a train that went around the ghost town, which gave you different backdrops.

Each time you went around, it gave you a different view of the mountain.

The sun hit you a different way.

So it was super cool.

I was super lucky to get on that train.

I had to pay the locomotive conductor a lot of money to do it.

Sometimes it's worth it to get a good shot.

Oh my god. There's a train coming right for me.

So simple.

We need to help turn it off. It's scary.

Can I help?

I think sexy is just something that one exudes. I think we have the tendency to interpret sexy as this one thing where it's leading towards being sexual or attracting someone.

I think sexiness can also entail sassiness and spunkiness and I think all that together can make one sexy in a way that doesn't necessarily have to relate to sexuality in any way at all.

Hey, did you find that this train ride was particularly satisfying this evening?

Oh, absolutely. Totally stratifying.

Good. Just that's what we were going for. Good. As long as you're satisfied, it's all good.

I like to not just take a picture. I like to really tell a story with my picture. I like to find like a base bikini and sort of build around it sort of.

I know I make it like it's an art. I like to build around the bikini. It is though. It really is. It's like I'm an artist and I'm putting my picture together.

Because there's so many neat textures and colors here that you don't have anywhere else and I've never seen up close like that.

I kind of got there and saw that rock and said, oh, I see this color with that and then I would work from there.

When you're on a beach, I think the beach is the beach. It's beautiful. And it's the peony that makes the shot or works the shot.

In this case, it was the scenery and the environment that made the shot. It was really fun to actually have a theme to work with.

I love working with themes and this was certainly a cool one.

And if they get too frisky, we take them, boom, to the jailhouse right over there.

The ghost town's like a big playground. I love it. I really do.

This is my first diva photo shoot in bikinis and it's fun. It's kind of a time away from work, kind of a vacation.

We can get to know the crew. It is exhausting. By the last shoot, you are tired and you're starving.

And me, I kind of get caught up into it too much and I neglect myself. I just want to get a great shot.

I like the American Indian culture and the country culture and I got to show it in the photos.

I get to wear a good chief's headpiece. I'm excited about that.

I was looking all over town for that.

And I was about to fork out $800 because that's how bad I know.

We don't have that budget, you know, but I was willing to take it out and put it on my credit card.

I'm also shooting in a chest plate that I'm topless behind and it also comes with a choker.

We also did the cowboy, the red chaps and gosh, the color that came from the photos.

Oh, that was awesome. It was fun. I could put a little personality to it.

I'm confident in the makeup artist and also the photographer and the lighting and everything that they're getting a good shot.

I trust them. You're not uncomfortable at all. They're like your friends, you know, looking out for you.

Can I get turned on?

I would have to say I think just about everything.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we came out here.

I've been to Arizona before, but never saw much more than the arena, the gym, and the hotel.

I've really been pleasantly surprised.

Because I've never done a photo shoot in the Southwest before, I really wanted to take the time to do some different things,

maybe get some suits that you wouldn't be able to buy in a store, so that I could have some original stuff.

Does it look awesome?

When we were at the ghost town, my photographer, Henry, had this idea where a cherry picker would come and bring me up onto this water tower,

and I would pose on the side of that, so you could see the mountains on one side, and that he would then come up on the cherry picker and be directly across from me.

Henry took a picture and then brought the cherry picker over to me and showed me the digital and said,

do you see this? This is what we're going for, do you like it?

And I was like, oh, it's awesome.

That was definitely one of the favorite poses that I've done was up there on the water tower.

Oh, that was so awesome.

There's a variety, but I mean, that's just so cool.

Today, we're going to be in the lower Salt River, which is the last section of the Salt River that before it gets diverted into the canal systems.

Take the girls down the river, let them kind of see the Sonoran Desert from a viewpoint of being on the river out here.

We're hoping that it's like really rough, like rough, rough, rough.

The river's running pretty well today.

We see a lot of wildlife out here occasionally, wild horses and birds of prey and things like that.

Probably see a few bald eagles. We'll pass right by one of the nests.

And we'll do some paddling going down the river.

I think we're going to get fitted for our life then.

It's not so glamorous though, huh, for the photo shoot.

They introduced 10 of them about 20 years ago here in Arizona.

And now there's 52 bald eagles in the state that are active.

I don't think it's weird at all not having water around.

I didn't even bring a cowboy hat.

I thought about bringing cowboy boots, but then someone told me I would look stupid

in them, so I didn't bring them.

When you start getting used to this lifestyle and you're on the road four to six days a week,

sometimes you forget how to relax.

My way of relaxing really is just to go home and lock the doors, deadbolt them and just

not leave the house, lounge out by the pool, do my laundry, lay in bed until four o'clock

in the afternoon if I want to.

The photographers that we work with are so awesome.

I'm going to call Dawn and tell her to take her time and figure, you know, wait until the

light gets really bad over there.

These guys, you know, want to make awesome pictures.

We kicked them out and were like, this is awesome.

They want their pictures to be in the magazine.

There's three or four of them and they're very competitive.

I do these first two locations and nobody else will work there.

Learning how to wrestle is definitely what I'm working most for right now.

For women, I think in particular, you're just not used to being aggressive.

And for me, I'm a very girly girl and it's hard for me to punch someone else.

It's very hard.

I want people to be excited when they're watching our match in ooh and aah.

But I still want them to think that I'm sexy and think of me as a feminine girl.

Sometimes you look up at the background and it doesn't look as pretty as it does on film.

You're just like, wow, where did that come from?

I never recognize myself.

In a lot of pictures, I don't even recognize myself.

I understand why people have been misbehaving because I've got my guns.

This is my first ever diva swimsuit shoot.

It's a little weird because I'm not used to doing the modeling thing and the photographers

totally helped me out.

Makeup artists totally helped me out and told me what looked good and what didn't.

And those digital cameras, they show you what you're doing so you can fix it to the pose

that you like.

In the pictures, you've got to totally feel because the camera sees everything.

If you don't feel sexy, you won't look sexy.

That's just the bottom line.

This week, I've definitely gotten more comfortable with being a girl and being a diva.

It's all new to me, but it's really not too bad taking care of yourself.

Getting your nails done, getting pampered, it's amazing.

Everything in my career has happened very spontaneously.

We started off with Tuffin' Up and I've been learning in the eye of the public.

So there's really not much room for error.

It's like the photo shoot.

I didn't have time to prepare.

It was just go out there and do it.

And it's been like that pretty much my whole entire career, which is very exciting.

We're walking around here in CJS Studios and Craig the photographer looks over to the side and there's this wall and it's got like vines all over the place and he's like, oh my gosh.

I saw it and I was just imagining someone kind of coming through it.

Oh my god, I've always wanted to do that.

She wanted to jump in and do it.

I'm a big fan of like nature and just jungle girl and wild and sexy and raw.

Cut some branches, cut some off in another place, we put them over.

And had them coming down.

It was kind of weird because it's like they kept falling off.

We can't have them because I was bare-breasted.

Covered too.

It looks really good.

So I had to hold the vines like this and that was so tough because it was the worst shoulder workout I've ever had.

They're like, okay, we're getting the cameras ready.

We're getting the lights ready.

Geez, this modeling thing is so tough.

After I got done with the toughen,

I've been doing my first lingerie photo shoot.

I moved back to Cincinnati, training,

learning more skills for the ring,

trying to stay in shape,

take care of my body,

learning the history of the business,

trying to get a feel for how do I see myself,

portray the Linda Miles,

the tough girl, the strong girl,

but yet sweet and soft and beautiful all in one.

She's bringing a higher level of athleticism,

a higher level of aggressiveness,

a woman that's a woman and

a worker in the ring too.

She's strong, physically, mentally,

throw that sex appeal in there too.

Most people see me and know me

as this aggressive, strong, big girl.

They can see the softer side.

I'm glad we don't have to do this every day.

I can imagine being a model.

I want you to let your mind go

and let your fantasies come in, you know.

You go somewhere else.

This is a body that's put in some work.

That's what I want people to see.

That's not what everyone's going to find.

And those are things that I feel I take pride in.

I'm going to do something I love doing.

I enjoy entertaining.

I love working out.

I love creating new ideas and new thoughts.

I love doing what I do.

And you know, you love what you do.

You shine in a different light.

I always make sure I enjoy what I'm doing.

Because when that work starts to become too much of warp work,

that's when you start to lose that pizazz

and that desire and that drive to get better.

I take each day as a day

of a learning utensil for myself.

I feel I don't want to waste anybody's time

who's trying to teach me a lesson.

Trying to see who I can take

little pieces from and add to myself.

Each day I go in there with my mind clear

to learn something and walk away

and feel I've accomplished something.

I don't like to waste two or three hours

not getting anything out of it.

It's a lot of progress day in and day out.

I love learning.

I enjoy, you know, learning new things.

And that's one thing I've learned within the ring.

You know, I'm always learning something new.

As long as I keep that enjoyment,

that excitement and that energy going,

yeah.

I'm learning how to trick a pose.

When we were walking around on the grounds this morning

when we arrived here at CGS Film Studios,

we saw the white picket fence

and, you know, we came to the conclusion

that Tori is like the all-American girl.

You know, everybody's dream is to live in a house

with a white picket fence

and we just have a little fun on the lawn.

You can portray what you're thinking in your mind

through your eyes and I always try to do that.

I really just fall into it.

Of course, you know, I've been doing this so long

that I kind of know which angles are better.

It's terrible when someone tries making you pose

the way they want you to pose and it's so unnatural.

I just try to be myself in my photos.

I don't want to look at a photo and go,

Oh my God, I was trying so hard to be sexy.

I look so lame.

A woman is at her sexiest when she's not trying too hard.

For me, the most natural is just smiling.

I think really you just have to feel good about yourself

and if you feel pretty inside

and, you know, it's beautiful around you,

that's what's sexy.

I have a blast.

I love doing this.

I'm totally in my heyday right now.

In my personal life, I'm a very passive person

and when people make me mad, I just kind of just stay away from them.

But I have noticed that I'm getting a little more aggressive

and not taking people's crap, even in my personal life.

So, you know, this is a big thing for me.

It's very good for me.

I don't think of myself as a sexy person.

I think of myself as a little girl

that's kind of not quite grown up yet.

I'm from Mississippi.

Yeah, I'm a bush chick.

Been in the woods.

I love being outside.

I'm an outdoors girl.

I love to fish.

I love to camp.

This is what I love.

I just kind of do my thing.

I'm sexy anyway, all the time.

So, just show up and do my thing.

I don't even have a certain style that I dig.

You know, anything that makes me look good, hot and sexy.

and go, you know, have fun and be girls and get dressed up.

Overall, I think this shoot has been tremendous.

People just told me, relax, have a good time.

And that's what I've done and it's been fabulous.

It's been a lot of fun.

A few weeks before the magazine comes out,

pretty much all we talk about in the locker room is what pictures are we gonna choose

and we can't wait to see the magazine.

When the magazine comes out, you're just wondering what got picked.

And you hope that it's really good representation of who you are and how you felt at the photo shoot.

I think the magazine is gonna be absolutely wonderful.

I think that we have so much to work with here.

It's not just a beach and a water and a pretty tree here and a wall here.

We have so much for so many girls.

I think it's gonna be classy.

I think it's gonna be sexy.

I think it's gonna be really, really neat.

To be on someone's wall, that's pretty cool.

Hopefully I'm on little girls' walls to inspire them to be tough, independent.

We get a lot, like a big box full of magazines and yeah, I look forward to it and I give it out to a lot of my friends and a lot of my family.

I honestly think this is gonna be the best Divas magazine so far.

We all keep getting more experience, you know.

Some of the girls haven't had very much modeling experience and now they're just really getting it.

People like seeing a different side of the Divas.

This is definitely kind of a sneak peek and a whole different side of all of us.
