Jack!

Jack!

Oh, here I... The lifeline.

I want a full report on what's happened at the mall.

And I want to see you back at the hotel.

What's Mega doing here?

I thought he was with the Morax.

It's a long story.

Yeah, and one that needs to be told.

Seems like Java here hasn't been entirely honest.

A long way from it, in fact.

Careful what you say, Siva.

So much for the three sisters unite.

That awful one and one for all palaver.

The outcome will be the same.

We will still roll.

It suits well.

Of course.

Yeah, when I heard that explosion, I thought you guys were history.

Yeah, it was Ebony. Bloomin' Ebony and Java. Ellie described them exactly.

Drove right up to the mall and sent Ellie in with the explosives.

Ebony? Do you remember something else?

Yeah, I think so.

You're... It's almost at my tongue.

I gotta cry, baby.

I gotta go.

Look, Jake, we're going to have to double the guard at all the entrances.

Right. But we can't just hide here and wait to see what they do next.

We have to act.

How? They're too strong just now to go out there and take them on.

A lot of people have gone to them already.

And a lot more will if this Zoot resurrection happens.

If only we could stop the power.

Then they couldn't project their holograms to Zoot.

No. No, look, they'll just use the double, okay? I saw him and he convinced

I'm pretty sure he convinced the half -crazed mob out there. And we can't use

CityNet either.

In case they used it against us, like they did the last time. That only made

things worse.

So we'll have to go into the city and tell the people the truth.

Yeah, but will they listen?

They might.

If it was someone they trust.

Amber.

Too rich for me.

Well, Sheriff, I think I might up my little I .O .U. and call your bluff.

You're good.

You better believe it.

I was bluffing.

I think I'll turn in.

It's early.

It's a big day tomorrow.

Returrection of the crazy guy.

You're going to see that.

Thought I'd take a peek.

Wouldn't happen to have anything to do with the fact the Queen of Darkness is

likely to be there, would it?

That ebony chick.

Really? You're playing with fire there, mate.

Talk to Ram.

He had his fingers burned by the little fireball.

Yeah, I heard you had something to do with her.

Yeah.

We're estranged.

But you're welcome.

Like Lex said, though, she's a man -eater.

Something tells me that makes her all the more fascinating to a certain

Night.

Yeah. Me too.

That cleared the table up.

If you want to leave your door unlocked... With all these bad men

would be foolish.

Wouldn't you say?

Is

that

a fight?

Not until you tell me why you didn't call his blood.

It's awful. How could they do that?

They just used me because they knew I was a mall rat.

Everybody could have been killed.

You, Trudy, Amber, everyone.

Ellie, it wasn't your fault.

It's horrible.

So you're okay now?

Just a bit tired.

We'll try and get some rest.

What is it?

We've come up with an idea.

Our last hope for fighting back.

We need someone to go into the city to try and talk some sense into the kids

before the resurrection happens.

You?

Emma.

She's special to the people out there.

You know that.

Now, I could ask Selene to ask her, but... I know she's in no fit state.

And besides, that'd be ducking your responsibility, wouldn't it?

She'd know I was avoiding her.

And it might put her off the idea.

Rat, what do you think you're playing at? I assume there's a good reason for

this interruption.

Why didn't you tell me about the explosive?

I could have been wiped out as well. Does this not matter to you?

It wasn't my idea.

It's true.

Oh, well, whose bright idea was it then?

Ebony's?

Close. Oh, well, what are you going to do about it?

Suppose they try again. I might not be so lucky next time.

Listen to me, May.

You just go back and let me know what Jay's up to.

I know he's not going to take this lying down.

And as always, I like to be one jump ahead.

You mind paying me what you owe?

Just in case you don't come back.

I've left my bag in my room.

There's more than enough in there.

Oh, going on a picnic?

It's not going to be much of a picnic.

What was it around?

You planning on catching the show as well?

I wouldn't miss it.

Can't wait to see the guy I wasted rise from the dead.

Interested to see how Mega does it?

Well, you're certain it's him.

Fits the profile.

Aren't you two boys forgetting something?

Pack lunch?

Bottle of pop?

If I'm right, you're not the two most popular boys in the city.

If she is right.

Don't count on me for protection.

Besides, there's no room for both of you on the bike.

And I don't fancy his chances of making it all the way to the city.

Well, actually, I'm in the middle of negotiating alternative transport.

Hey.

You guys going to be using this truck this morning?

Could be.

Mr. Clay, I'm commandeering you for a special assignment.

You understand?

Just late. Boys, take your time now.

Can I come in?

I'm sort of busy.

It's very important.

How's the baby?

He's fine.

I assume you know what's going down today.

The resurrection?

Yeah.

It's scheduled for noon.

The total eclipse.

The way the kids are at the moment.

Still freaked out about the Paradise program.

And all cranked up about the Zoot stuff.

This could tip them over the edge.

We could lose the city big time and never get it back.

Yeah, I'd say that's a distinct possibility.

Amber, we can't just sit back and watch it.

We can't let what happened between us... What happened between us, Jay?

Nothing, as I recall.

That's not fair.

So maybe I'm tired of being fair all the time.

Fair old Amber. Always sees both sides. Miss Democracy.

That's why we need you.

Because that's what they think out there. No, correction. That's what they

That you wouldn't lie to them.

They know you wouldn't cheat them.

They may fear Ebony and follow her madness, but deep down they know that if

anyone's going to get them out of this mess, it's you.

Oh, really?

Otherwise, I'd pack my bags and I'd leave the city forever.

Because there won't be a future.

No dream left to dream.

You remember what I told you about us all having a choice?

And I said I wasn't so sure.

Well, do you?

I guess not.

Don't.

Does it look okay?

Everything has to be perfect.

Remember, I'm preparing to meet my husband.

I told you to come and see me yesterday.

What are you, the headmaster now?

We can't have people running around taking the law into their own hands.

screw everything up.

So it's one law for Mega, another for everyone else.

Little diversions from the plan can have major repercussions.

Just one piece goes missing.

Don't worry about Ebony.

She doesn't know whether she's Arthur or Martha.

It's Siva I'm concerned about.

She's no threat.

Look, we were always going to waste the mall rats.

Why wait?

If we're going to create chaos in the city, We need someone credible to try to

restore law and order.

When they fail, the city will come crawling on its knees to us, begging us

take over.

That's when we wait for more rats, and not before.

Jabba, don't fight me on this one.

I've run the model a thousand times through the computer. It works, trust

Yeah, well... I guess I just got a bit carried away.

It's just I hate those do -gooders.

And that's good.

Hate is good.

You make a brilliant team, Java.

So how are you feeling?

It's weird.

Remembering everything.

All this thing back in my head, it's like I'm a new person.

It's great to have you back, Ellie.

Oh. What's up, Sammy?

What does resurrection mean?

Well, it means coming back from the dead.

A bit like me, Sammy.

Being back again.

Is that what Zoot's going to do?

Come back?

No, look. Zoot was a phony, okay? A contract.

But everybody's saying... It's not going to happen, Sammy.

You'd have to be a god to do that.

But what if he is a god?

Zoot? No, okay. Yeah, look, Sammy.

Zoot was a nasty piece of work.

See? But you can't have bad gods, can you? Like in the story.

Now look what you've done, you stupid little boy.

She's losing it.

You know, I hadn't realized.

What about Celine?

No, it's just, all this time I've been trying to work out how they've been

it, you know, all the tentacle stuff, and it's just hit me.

If Sammy's thinking like that, then what are all the kids out there thinking?

They're really going to believe this, aren't they?

Can we talk?

I mean like in private?

Leave us?

Can we sit down somewhere?

It's about Zoot.

Daryl?

Are you all right in there?

Fine. Fine.

Hey.

Jeez, you look terrible.

I am.

No, I'm just nervous about today.

I don't think I can go through with it.

With what?

I don't think I can.

It's true, Ebony. Zoot isn't real. He's not coming back.

He's dead.

Siva, try to understand.

Zoot is coming back to the city today.

No. They're going to use a poor kid dressed up as Zoot. You'll come to

Siva.

One day.

Listen. Meg is not on the side of the mall rats.

He and Java planned this all along.

They've been using you, screwing up your mind.

Have you finished?

I have to prepare myself.

It's nearly time.

Ebony, listen to me.

I can't bear to see you like this.

Please, you're my little sister.

No, Siva.

Not anymore.

At noon today, when Zoot comes to reclaim his city, I will be by his side.

A goddess.

Get any closer, someone's going to suss out who we are.

And I ain't exactly equipped for fighting.

This was a crazy idea.

Sometimes you've got to take risks. Yeah, there's risk -taking, and then

sheer stupidity. And when it comes to you, Lex... Nice motor.

You can't deliver in daylight, Sal.

I'm going to head up a bit closer to the action.

I'd advise you guys to stay put and keep your heads down.

I won't be long, Mal.

If he starts crying, just give him his bottle, okay?

You're going to see Zoom.

Not if I can help it.

Don't worry. It's all going to be all right.

Amber. What?

I... Look, I just want to say it's a really brave thing that you're doing.

It's crazy out there.

No crazier than some other places.

Amber, I...

We really appreciate what you're doing for us.

All the more.

I'm not doing it for the mores. I'm doing it for my baby.

It'll be fine, Daryl. You'll be wonderful.

It's what you wanted.

Yeah, I know.

But it's just... It's one thing to scare Jack and a couple of the kids, but this

is huge.

The whole city.

I've never spoken in front of a crowd before. I mean, what if I forget my

I'll be there.

Listen to me.

Think of what this means for you.

What I promised, remember?

The fame, the reward, the girl.

Yeah, the girl.

Why do you think I chose you for this?

Because I know you'll be magnificent.

You were born for this.

Believe me.

You're right.

Now go and get ready for the biggest role of your life.

Yeah!

Yeah.

You're right.

He's flaky.

Siva, you worry too much, you know that?

I don't trust Mega.

What if he's using us?

What if he cuts us out when he's got what he wants?

When we've pulled off this little stunt and got the city eating out of our

hands, it's not us who are going to be cut out.

You mean Mega.

I couldn't have done this on my own.

I'm good.

But Mega, he's a genius at technology.

But his biggest strength is also his biggest weakness.

He doesn't understand human beings.

He doesn't understand me.

What about Ebony?

She's saying she's a goddess now.

If we let her go through with all this, Java, we might never get her back.

She might be out there in crazy space for good.

Then wouldn't that be a shame?

Well, since that is the place, the eclipse is going to start pretty soon.

Well, it's time for me to crash the party.

Just a solar eclipse is not the work of Zeus.

Zeus is dead. I saw him die. It's just a trick.

Hey, listen. I need you to listen to me. This is really important.

It's not... Amber.

Is it getting a little bit darker in here?

Just an eclipse, Mal.

That's when the moon covers the sun.

But won't the moon get burnt?

What? The moon. Won't it get burnt?

Oh. Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

Ow.

Will the moon be okay?

Oh. Oh, sure.

It's just a bit of grilled cheese. That's all.

It's just like the old pop concert we used to go to when I was a kid.

Zoot's a superstar.

Well, I'm glad it amused me a few times.

And I don't suppose you've stopped to think what's going to happen when Ebony

and Zoot become gods.

Zoot. No.

No. They want me.

They want me.

No. No. You can't tell me what to do anymore.

They want me.

I'm going.
