But could the truth behind Area 51 be
even stranger than anyone has ever

imagined? Perhaps the answers are
concealed in America's Book of Secrets.

Professed physicist and alleged UFO
whistleblower Bob Lazar appears on the

Rogan Experience, a podcast with more
than 100 million listeners.

Although many in the government refute
his claims, Lazar's interview sparks not

only controversy, but a renewed interest
in his longstanding assertions about

the world's most mysterious military
facility.

Area 51.

Bob Lazar claimed to have worked at Area
51 on recovered

extraterrestrial technology.

What's interesting about Bob Lazar's
claims is the fact that if something was

recovered, chances are Area 51 has
played a part in it.

It's thought to be where the United
States develops and tests

A lot of cutting -edge technologies.

Although the interview and other recent
documentary films have brought him both

attention and scrutiny in the media,

Bob Lazar's claims that the U .S.
military uses Area 51 to store and

with recovered extraterrestrial
technology date back to 1989.

Who among us has not heard about an
alleged UFO cover -up?

So in 1989, we do this story about Bob
Lazar.

Lazar said he worked at a place called
S4, which is south of Groom Lake,

adjacent to the Papoose Dry Lake bed,
and that a base named Area 51 was out

there.

He said that inside this facility were
nine hangars, and inside each of those

hangars was a flying saucer.

Some of the things that he's reported in
these... alien craft are the fact that

it's capable of invisibility but also
interstellar travel.

And to do that, it effectively
manipulates gravity, bending space -time

itself.

The moment Bob Lazar's story went
public, it just weaponized people's

curiosity. It forced people to look at
the concept that if we're not alone, if

we're being visited, do we have
spacecraft from other advanced

and what are we trying to do with them?

Before Bob Lazar, there was only a
handful of people that had ever heard of

51.

Afterward, it's a global sensation.

Bob Lazar's statements may have caused a
global sensation, but skeptics argued

that he was simply perpetrating a hoax
in the hopes of gaining media attention.

The reaction from the scientific
community was mostly harsh criticism.

This can't be true. The reaction from
the military was nothing. They most

certainly would not admit that they had
alien technology that they were taking

apart to figure out how it works.

When Bob Lazar first made his claims in
1989, he was seen as something of a

conspiracy theorist.

The whole UFO subject was regarded as
somewhat fringe.

We are now in a completely changed
landscape.

There have been revelations about U .S.
Navy jets chasing UFOs, and we have

forward -looking infrared films of some
of those interactions.

On December 16, 2017,

the New York Times published an article
revealing the existence of a top -secret

military project.

known as ATIP, the Advanced Aerospace
Threat Identification Program.

The purpose of ATIP was to identify and
investigate UFOs.

After the New York Times article was
published, previously classified videos

studied by the ATIP program were
released to the public.

Many researchers believe that these
videos show encounters between Navy

airplanes and extraterrestrial
spacecraft.

In the videos released from the Navy,
this vehicle, it looks like it's smooth

structure and kind of the shape of a
very large tic -tac.

And it accelerated quicker and it
maneuvered more rapidly than anything

man.

These appear to be anti -gravity
devices.

They appear to be able to bend space and
time in exactly the way that Bob Lazar

described 30 -some years ago. Now people
are taking a fresh look at what Bob

Lazar said.

Is it possible that what the ATIP video
revealed was an actual close encounter

with an otherworldly craft?

And could it be corroborating evidence?

for the claims that Bob Lazar made about
what he witnessed inside Area 51 more

than 30 years ago?

If we were to recover an alien
spacecraft, that means they have the

that enabled them to travel from a
distant star to here.

And the first thing you would want to do
is gather all that stuff up and put it

in a safe place.

Extraterrestrial technology isn't just a
question of, say, taking our aircraft

and building a faster one.

Although the military may have good
reasons for keeping what's inside Area

In recent years, the public has been
clamoring for answers.

In July of 2019, less than a month after
Bob Lazar was interviewed on Joe

Rogan's podcast, college student Maddie
Roberts created a post on Facebook

called Storm Area 51.

They can't stop all of us.

It went viral.

living in Southern California, says, we
should storm Area 51.

They can't stop all of us. We'll open up
the hangars, we'll go see the flying

saucers for ourselves.

It was a sort of groundswell of popular
feeling that we weren't being told the

truth about UFOs, and almost sort of
anti -government sentiment. Who are

people to keep these world -changing
truths from us, the people?

Within hours of its posting, the planned
event received thousands of RSVPs.

Within days, it had millions.

The whole Let Storm Area 51 idea showed
that people still

care about this issue and feel that
after decades of secrecy, the time has

to put this under the spotlight.

Alarmed, US military leaders immediately
released a public statement that anyone

attempting to breach the perimeter of
Area 51 would face swift and

consequences.

Ultimately, a few thousand people
gathered at the gates of the base, but

did not try to force their way inside.

If it had not been for the large law
enforcement presence, And for the

reputation of Area 51 to really not mess
around, it could have possibly been

very different.

The Storm Area 51 event suggests that
curiosity about the secretive base has

never been higher.

But Internet publicity stunts aside,
what kind of security measures are in

to guard against actual attempts to
breach the gates?

The answers are deadly serious.

January 28th, 2019.

Attempting to break into Area 51, an
unidentified man manages to drive

security gate onto what he believes to
be the grounds of the base.

Although he is mistaken about his exact
location, the consequences of his

actions lead to a tragic outcome.

He was... going to drive up the road to
Area 51 and instead drove into the

entrance of the Nevada test site, the
Nevada National Security Site it's now

known as.

It's protected.

It's a secure facility.

But it was at a gate about 50 miles away
from Area 51.

He made it about 8 miles into the
restricted area.

He exited his vehicle and had something
that looked like a gun in his hand.

And at that point, he was shot dead.

And it just shows that even the ultimate
sanction will be brought to bear on

people if they try to break in.

Over the years, one secret that has been
revealed about Area 51 is that it is

protected by more layers of security
than perhaps any other military base in

United States.

There are devices that can smell.

human skin. They can differentiate
between, say, a human and a wild horse.

There are sensors disguised as bushes.

There are satellite devices all around
the facility that can detect any kind of

movement.

You're also being watched by remote
-controlled cameras in the hills around

51. Then as you get closer, you run into
the security forces.

Despite the armed guards, state -of -the
-art surveillance, and high -tech

hidden sensors, curiously, and perhaps
as a deterrent to would -be trespassers,

guided tours run year -round to give the
public at least a glimpse of the base,

but from a very restricted distance.

They have regular tours out to Area 51.

They drive them up to the edge of the
base, let them get out and take a

of the signs that say use of deadly
force is authorized.

While the cautionary signs posted along
the perimeter of Area 51 remain tourist

attractions, the military has repeatedly
stated that the warnings are serious.

And the government has utilized eminent
domain to seize additional acres of land

in the surrounding area in order to keep
inquiring eyes even further away.

The first land seizure was in the mid
-1980s, 84, 85.

They seized 89 ,000 acres of land as a
buffer zone.

And then they realized that they left a
couple of islands where people could

still climb up and peek down onto the
base and use binoculars.

And the government did not want the
public to be able to see what goes on

there, so they took that land away.

Today.

The closest vantage point of Area 51 is
more than 20 miles away from the base.

And the government isn't only concerned
with keeping outsiders from getting in.

There are also numerous systems in place
to prevent secrets from getting out.

Area 51 is one of the most remote and
secretive locations

on the face of the planet.

You try to...

Keep your employees who work there from
divulging anything.

You have vetting of people.

So before somebody is even employed,
they go through rigorous security checks

make sure that they are not the sort of
person who will become a whistleblower.

If you cross the line, if you speak out,
they will come after you.

Most of the workers at Area 51 fly in on
the so -called Janet flight.

private flights from Las Vegas that
bring workers to Area 51 every day.

The people flying to Area 51 have to
leave their cell phones and any personal

electronic equipment at the Janet
terminal.

If people are not cleared to see certain
areas of the base, the shades in the

planes are drawn down so that they can't
see the base while landing.

Work at Area 51 is very
compartmentalized. One guy doesn't

the next guy working on a different
project does.

The level of secrecy at Area 51 is so
high that for most of its history, the U

.S. government denied that it even
existed.

But that began to change in the early
1990s when a woman named Helen Frost

the U .S. government.

claiming that her deceased husband,
Robert Frost, had been exposed to

chemicals while serving as a
construction worker at Area 51.

Robert had been tasked with discarding
old equipment and hazardous waste into a

large burn pit, which Helen believed had
caused him to become gravely ill.

Scott Amey, the general counsel for the
Project on Government Oversight, took on

her case.

When I first spoke to Helen the first
night on the telephone, she would tell

that when her husband came home, that
his skin would be open and bleeding.

She also mentioned he had skin lesions
and scaling and respiratory problems.

Helen believed that it was the exposure
to this toxic fumes that were coming out

of these burn pits that were impacting
his liver and other internal organ.

And that's what gave him these skin
problems, and that's what ultimately

his death.

Robert Frost, before he passed away,
came to the East Coast and met with a

biochemist who was at Rutgers
University, and he did some testing of

And when he took tissue samples, he was
able to find out that he had toxins and

compounds that he had never seen in a
human being before.

Incredibly, When asked to identify the
unknown compound that Robert Frost had

been exposed to, attorneys for the
federal government refused to declassify

information about what exactly had been
burned in the pit.

Their thought was that anything that was
hazardous waste that had to be

disclosed to be listed at the facility
would allow our adversaries to figure

what was being tested out there or the
aircraft that was being tested there.

So denying that they existed was just a
way for them to try to prevent anything

about Area 51 from becoming public.

Helen Frost appealed her case all the
way to the U .S. Supreme Court, but it

ultimately dismissed.

However, the lawsuit called attention
both to the existence of Area 51 and

the clandestine activities taking place
there.

The irony of the situation is, in the
name of secrecy and concealing anything

about this base, the government has, in
essence, helped expose the base and make

it kind of a cult facility.

Although the federal government has
finally admitted to the existence of

51, the facility's purpose remains
shrouded in mystery.

So what kind of programs?

could be so vital to the United States'
strategic interests that they must

remain secret.

Perhaps clues to the nature of these
projects can be found by examining

photos of Area 51 that reveal the base
is constantly changing in very

mysterious ways.

November 14, 2020.

Rachel, Nevada.

Area 51 researcher Jorg Arnie boards a
small private plane with his friend and

pilot, Gabe Zeifman.

During their flight, the plane comes
within 12 miles of the base, closer than

any civilian aircraft has flown before.

Obviously, I was a little nervous about
it.

We were looking for new developments at
Area 51, for new buildings, new hangars

that might be indicative of new
projects.

And sure enough, we did find a couple of
new developments, new buildings at Area

51.

After the flight, the men posted high
-resolution photographs of Area 51

The images prompted close scrutiny and
excited speculation among other Area 51

researchers.

The photos revealed that there are more
aircraft hangars at the base than

previously thought.

A new hangar is being built at Area 51
approximately every two years.

Looking at satellite images, we can
actually learn quite a bit.

If we look at a hangar, we can look at
its size, at its location in the base,

even things like is there one...

sent a taxi line going into the hangar,
or there are several taxi lines.

That all tells us something about the
project.

And of course, the location of the
hangar is significant.

The most secret projects are always on
the outskirts of Area 51.

So it seems that there have been some
changes at Area 51.

The mission is changing, evolving, and
above all, it proves that things are

still active.

Although the very existence of Area 51
was kept in the shadows for as long as

the federal government could manage it,
in recent years, declassified documents

have revealed the original purpose of
the base, giving many researchers more

certainty that secret development of
aerospace technology continues there

In 1955, the CIA, the Air Force, and
pilots from Lockheed who were building

U -2 spy plane needed a place to test
it. It was being built in Burbank, but

cannot test a secret government plane
over a populated area because people

see it, and if it crashes, it might kill
people.

So they were looking for a remote
testing area out in the desert, and they

this runway near Groom Lake.

It was an old World War II aerial
gunnery site.

So the CIA had the Atomic Energy
Commission add this site to its real

holdings so the U -2 program could move
out there for testing.

And its map designation was Area 51.

The U -2 spy plane was just the first of
many advanced aircraft.

that were developed at Area 51 in
complete secrecy.

The SR -71 Blackbird and the stealth
fighter, the F -117A, all of these were

tested out of Area 51.

It also was used to reverse engineer
Soviet MiG jet fighters, which were very

advanced, and the U .S. certainly wanted
to learn about them.

The United States has had a long history
of testing its cutting -edge aerospace

project at Area 51.

And these are the sorts of things that
when people first see them, when they're

not public knowledge, they mistake them
for UFOs.

Even pilots will see some of these
aircraft and say, my goodness, it's a

saucer.

Is it possible that evidence of
mysterious craft...

such as the ATIP videos, simply show
footage of secret American military

vehicles that may have been designed at
Area 51?

Or could they actually be, as some
believe, evidence that the American

has obtained extraterrestrial
technology?

Those who favor the latter offer as
potential proof the most infamous UFO

incident in United States history.

Roswell, New Mexico, June 14th, 1947.

Radar operators at Roswell Army Airfield
detect an unidentified craft

approaching the base.

Moments later, the object rapidly
descends and crashes in the desert

nearby cattle ranch.

There was a rancher by the name of Mack
Brazel. He worked for a ranch called the

Foster Ranch, and he's out doing his
rounds on his horse, and he sees the

first.

And it's scattered over a wide area.

It's unusual. It's like, you know, the
famous, like the metal rod that won't

bend and the metal that won't dent.

So what happened is the military, they
gather the material and they bring it

back to the base.

The press officer announces to the world
that, the Roswell Army Airfield

recovered a flying saucer. The U .S.
military themselves admitted something

come down. Now, within 24 hours, they
reversed their story and said that it

just been a weather balloon, which seems
highly unlikely given that Roswell

Army Airfield... was home to the only
atomic bomb -capable squadron anywhere

the world. These people were the elite
of the elite.

If ever there was anyone less likely to
misidentify a weather balloon, it was

these people.

So people say that the weather balloon
story was simply a cover story.

Rumors of a cover -up were fueled when
residents of Roswell came forward and

reported that they saw not only wreckage
of a flying saucer, but also the bodies

of two apparent extraterrestrial beings
removed from the craft.

The Air Force subsequently claimed that
these supposed bodies were actually

crash test dummies used in parachute
testing.

However, some researchers and
journalists believe the truth has been

that it was later taken to Area 51, that

that became the location of choice for
that particular secret program, the

reverse engineering of alien technology.

If the U .S. military really did recover
an extraterrestrial spacecraft,

and more importantly, small humanoid

entities, you need to go somewhere.

Were the figures or bodies reportedly
seen in connection with the so -called

Or were they assembly, possibly deceased

What happened next would give rise to
one of the strangest reports ever linked

to Area 51.

Surfaces, showing what some believe to

an authentic dissection of an
extraterrestrial being.

purportedly depicts a medical

claims to have acquired the footage from
an anonymous government employee who

filmed the autopsy, which supposedly
took place at Area 51.

This was immediately like a firestorm
among UFO researchers.

You had a group of people saying, we
think it's real, but a lot of people

out of the gate said, that's a hoax,
that's fake.

because there was so much pressure on
Santillian, so much skepticism, he made

admission. And this really sealed the
deal for him. He essentially said, well,

did get a film, but it was so degraded,
it was unusable, a lot of it was just

destroyed practically. But what we saw,
we then tried to reconstruct accurately.

And everyone said, oh, okay, great.

But there are some UFO researchers who
suggested that even though the film was

an admitted fabrication, that doesn't
necessarily mean the claims and theories

about Area 51 aren't based in fact.

Some even contend that Ray Santilli may
have created the film at the behest of

the U .S. government as part of an
elaborate scheme to breed skepticism

the public.

I wonder if there isn't something a
little bit more sinister going on here.

Because to me, and I've worked in
government myself, it bears all the

of a classic disinformation operation.

In other words, it's so crazy sounding
that I think any serious people will

oh, that's just bizarre. It's totally
unbelievable.

I thought it looked ridiculous to begin
with. I thought it was a hoax. I

reported it as such. I think it's been
pretty widely debunked. Misinformation

and disinformation are tools that the
government uses.

Did the U .S. government conspire to
release the alien autopsy film as part

campaign of disinformation?

Some UFO researchers believe that the
answer is yes.

And they claim that this fake film of an
alien autopsy at Area 51 was used to

cover up the existence of a legitimate
one.

Long before Santilli's film came out,
there were, in my view, credible

accounts circulating throughout the
military leaking to researchers of

alien autopsy video and film.

One fascinating addendum to the whole
Ray Santilli alien autopsy story was a

series of emails in 2001 that leaked out
in 2019.

It was among different members of Robert
Bigelow's organization, the National

Institute of Discovery Science, NIDS.

NIDS was a paranormal research
organization that included credentialed

scientists and retired military
officers.

Founded by billionaire aerospace
entrepreneur Robert Bigelow.

One of its goals was to analyze strange
phenomena that may be related to

extraterrestrial life.

According to leaked emails of members of
the NID team, a key piece of evidence

that the organization investigated was
the alien autopsy pills.

This email thread, it involved a series
of scientists working.

for Robert Bigelow. So there's one
particular scientist who was a real

biology and medicine. And this was Dr.
Christopher Kitt Green.

And the thread became very controversial
when it leaked out because this

individual is stating the Santilli film
is real.

And the other scientists are like, what
are you talking about? Everyone thinks

that's a hoax. It's like, nope, not a
hoax.

Why is it not a hoax? And he says, look,
I'll tell you right now, because in the

early 1980s, I was briefed.

The Pentagon briefing, and I was shown
images that were identical, he said, to

Ray Santilli's alien from 1995.

And he said, I saw them well more than a
decade earlier.

The information revealed from the NIDS
email chain sent shockwaves throughout

the UFO research community.

Some believed the information suggested
that the alien autopsy film does, in

fact, depict some of what goes on inside
Area 51.

Others argued that the leaked emails
were the result of yet another

disinformation campaign, a theory that
is now supported by Dr.

Kit Green himself.

I've actually interviewed him and he
later actually stated he no longer

that the film was real and his opinion
that he was subject to disinformation.

And he also believed that his own
briefing was a hoax.

There's something going on that's not
right. We have to recognize that there

been intelligence community attempts at
disinformation within the field of UFO

research.

They put out disinformation. I suppose
disinformation might be their strongest

weapon. They tell lies about what goes
on out there at Area 51.

It comes with the territory.

Because Area 51 is a top -secret
government compound, disinformation

powerful and perhaps necessary tools for
protecting vital American secrets.

But how does the government maintain
this secrecy in the face of more and

sophisticated surveillance technology?

Perhaps the answer lies deep under the
surface of the Nevada desert.

The YouTube channel Finding UFOs hosts a
series of satellite photos of the

mountains that surround Area 51.

According to UFO researchers, the
intriguing images reveal a hidden

not just to Area 51, but also to a vast
network of secret underground tunnels.

So one thing about Area 51 being the
most famous secret base in the world is

that it's famous.

And the question is, can they actually
engage in anything truly deeply

classified there?

Because for the last 30 years, the world
has known about it.

I think the answer is yes, absolutely.

They need the secrecy. They need the
security that's away from the prying

of the satellite.

Often only an underground facility can
do anything like this.

And I think there's a very good case to
be made that there are probably

substantial underground levels that are
there. There are lots of leaks over the

years in the 1990s and 2000s. Do you
attest to this?

Obviously, one of the reasons one has
underground facilities is to hide

to make sure that if there's any high
-altitude spy plane or satellite pass

over, then you won't be able to spot
these things.

Putting it underground, that's the way
to do it.

A lot of the individuals that I've
spoken with over the years, they have

expressed to me that there is a unique
and complex series of underground

tunnels and layers to Area 51 simply
because of

how exposed you are on the top layer.

So when you want to fly something new,
you can bring it up from the Earth.

and then out into the open when you know
there are no satellites looking, and

then fly it off.

Government documents released due to a
Freedom of Information Act request in

August of 2013 show that, in fact, there
have been massive tunneling and

underground operations conducted at Area
51.

One underground structure that we know
about is a 1 ,000 -foot -long tunnel

system that was originally designed for
something called Project Nerva.

any RVA.

It was an attempt in the 50s and 60s to
develop nuclear power for massive

missiles, basically for space purposes.

They had fairly substantial underground
facilities that were designed for

research and development and computers
and all the electronic gear that they

needed.

So that ended in 1973.

What you can say is that all of these
underground facilities that were

originally in the 50s and 60s, they all
need to get repurposed. They're too

valuable.

We also know that the Reagan
administration in the 1980s allocated $8

for the construction of underground
facilities.

And they have these vast facilities out
there. There's one called U1A that you

go straight down, 1 ,100.

Feet straight through solid rock.
There's one elevator shaft that goes

there. I took the trip, got down to the
bottom, and at the bottom is a base, is

a facility.

And then they have a laboratory and
these tunnel boring machines that were

chewing into the rock in multiple
different directions to expand the lab.

But just how was the federal government
able to construct?

Such extensive and elaborate underground
facilities at Area 51 without the

public and press being able to detect
the activity.

Researchers suggest that it's due to the
top secret infrastructure that has been

put in place, including an underground
railway system.

You do wonder, with hundreds of miles of
tunnels, where does all that rock and

dirt go?

I have been able to confirm that there's
tunnels with their own railroad

systems. I've ridden on the railroad
that's inside of it.

Atomic Energy Commission records show
that the Department of Energy did build

least one underground rail system to
transport heavy equipment through Area

Now, there's probably...

Even more than that. We don't really
have a whole story here. This is still a

very closed -off area.

There's rumors of an underground train
system going from Area 51 out to Edwards

Air Force Base in California.

Edwards Air Force Base is an extremely
important air force base for testing

equipment as well and for advanced
aircraft.

This is a fascinating part of our
history.

Much of it is unknown to people.

But the United States, even immediately
after the Second World War, the military

looked into a variety of places to
create secure, deep underground

And then eventually they thought, well,
we need to connect this one to that one,

and so you need an underground tunnel
system.

Every chance I get, every excuse I get
to go out there, we go out, and we get

little glimpses, bits and pieces of
things that they do. But I suspect that

there are some real secrets that I
haven't been made aware of.

While rumors surrounding this mysterious
desert base continue to stoke both

curiosity and even suspicion, some
insiders suggest that what is happening

right now goes beyond and above anything
ever reported about Area

51.

In a speech before members of the U .S.
Coast Guard.

President Donald J. Trump reports that
the F -35 Lightning II fighter jet

currently being developed by the Air
Force happens to be invisible.

The enemy cannot see it.

Even if it's right next to it, they
can't see it.

And not just invisible in the sense that
it won't show up on radar screen, but

actually invisible to the naked eye.

Physicists have calculated what it would
take to make a completely invisible

bomber to ordinary light.

It would require something called a
metamaterial, something that has the

to manipulate individual atoms.

If you can make a substance out of
metamaterials, then light will wrap

the object, reform at the other end, so
if you were to look at the object, it

would disappear.

Think of a boulder in a stream of water.

If you were downstream of the boulder
and you look upstream, you cannot see

boulder because water has wrapped around
the boulder and reformed at the other

end.

Could our military actually be
developing an invisible craft?

And if so, just where did the technology
come from?

Some UFO researchers suggest...

that the F -35 may actually be utilizing
metamaterials that were created at Area

51 by reverse engineering
extraterrestrial spacecraft, much like

claimed was happening more than three
decades ago.

Of course, there are many extraordinary
things going on at Area 51.
