of the earth, met people from all walks of life, and seen enough amazement to

They say we're all searching for something.

But as we become more and more connected, it's easy to miss the wonder

all around us.

So as I embarked on my final adventure, I decided to start my journey in one of

the most connected places on the planet.

I'd been invited out to Los Angeles to perform during a seven -hour livestream

with global pop stars One Direction.

Having been to LA several times, I decided to start my trip further up the

Pacific coast in the iconic city of San Francisco.

Tate Ashbury sits in central San Francisco.

and was one of the birthplaces of the hippie movement in the 1960s.

To this day, it is a mecca for alternative

living, and draws people in from all walks of life.

My short visit to San Francisco was over, and it was time to take the 390

road trip to Los Angeles.

I arrived in LA later that night and headed down to Hollywood Boulevard.

I will never forget coming here for the first time many years ago and how I was

inspired by the local buskers and street performers.

Before leaving Hollywood Boulevard for the final time, I wanted to try

that I'd thought about since the very first time I visited L .A. over 10 years

ago.

Venice Beach, a mecca for surfers, skaters and new age hippies.

I'd been here a few years before and amazed some of the local buskers and

performers.

Along the promenade, I met up with Sid Wilson, a .k .a. DJ Starstream,

producer and DJ for the Grammy award -winning heavy metal band Flipknot.

Sid is a local resident, and like many of the Venice Beach community, an avid

skater.

You know, to do a couple tricks, ollie and kickflip once or twice. And I was

like, okay, I'm satisfied.

Like, that's good. Now it's like transportation.

I'm in Venice Beach. Everyone uses skateboards or bicycles. So it's like,

is my bicycle.

It's pretty cool.

Far, far away from the glitz of the Hollywood strip or the multi -million

mansions of Beverly Hills lies the neighbourhood of Watt.

Situated in South Central LA, I was warned not to visit after dark due to a

concentration of gang activity in the area.

But it's always been important for me to see the different sides to a city, so I

headed down to meet some other local residents.

Yeah, that's right.

I was back in LA and headed to YouTube's headquarters for a seven -hour live

streamed event with one of the world's biggest pop phenomenon, One Direction.

They'd asked me to come and perform a piece of magic live in front of millions

of online viewers around the world.

My Californian adventure was almost over.

From the streets of San Francisco to the bright lights of Hollywood, I'd met

some amazing people and hopefully left behind some great memories.

America has always fascinated me.

It's been the birthplace of some of the greatest icons of popular culture, and

love it or hate it, there is no denying its influence on the world.

I hope that in a small way, I've brought a touch of magic to this vast land.

But while I was there, I wanted to try and make an exit that no one would ever

forget.
