My name is Ben Hamlin.
I'm a magician.
When I perform, I love watching people freak out.
So I set up secret cameras in everyday places.
Oh! Oh!
And use my skills of sleight of hand.
Oh, my God.
Mental powers.
Unbelievable, look.
And misdirection.
You are kidding me.
To pull epic magical pranks on unsuspecting celebrities.
I can't do nothing.
And members of the public.
Oh! Yo, this is ridiculous.
As the cameras are hidden, all the reactions you see are 100 % genuine.
There are no actors or studios.
All the people you're about to see have been well and truly tricked.
I've been performing magic for over a decade.
And like all magicians, I got into magic because I love to see people's faces
when I do impossible things right before their eyes. And that's great, but it's
way more fun when I use magic to push people's buttons when they least expect
it, like this.
That's not chained to the lamppost, mate.
Much better.
Looks like I've been stitched around.
First
up,
I'm going undercover to trick the public.
I'm running a fast food van.
The hidden cameras are set up and the chips are in the pan.
I've got some half -priced offers to tempt the crowd.
But anyone greedy for grub will be served a trick instead.
How are you doing, guys?
You alright? You doing alright? What are you having?
Um, those half -price things.
Yeah, uh, half -price. Three pound. Three pound on meat feast, uh, chicken
surprise, uh, margaritas.
Those three. What do you want?
Chicken pizza?
Alright, cool, cool, cool.
There you go, guys.
Chicken surprise, yeah?
All right, okay, yeah. Perfect.
Three pound, please.
Pay on card?
Pardon?
No, no, can't pay on card.
Have you not got money? Well, if you haven't got the cash, you can have the
pizza, you just can't have the chicken.
All right?
Just take the chicken out?
Yeah. All right, sound, no chicken, sound.
There you go, that'll come out.
Fucking hell.
Is that what that is?
You said no chicken, right?
So there you go, no chicken, mate.
There you go, that'll come out.
All right, all right.
Can I have some chips?
Some chips? Please. Okay, all right, all right. Small or large?
Small. Cool.
All right.
Some vinegar.
What? Ew.
What, why? There's a rat in there.
What?
Nah.
It's not a rat. What is it then?
You're hallucinating, you see anything, don't you? No, I'm not.
Nah, it's not a rat.
What is it then?
It's a smudge, that's what it is. Look, look, look, look, look, look.
There was a rat in there. There's not?
There was.
There was a rat in there. It wasn't as much as the glass.
I'm telling you, it was in there.
I'm hallucinating.
Don't you just hate rude blokes who flirt with other people's girlfriends?
I bet these will.
All right?
Hey. How are you doing, guys? Come on over.
Let me get you.
Two burgers?
Two burgers?
Yeah, cool. All right.
Thank you. How are you doing? You all right? I'm good, thank you. Yeah, you
having a good day? Yeah, been shopping.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cool, cool. All right, all right.
Look, I've just got one on for now.
Okay. Is that all right? Yeah, that's all. Cool.
Are you two brother and sister?
Are you? Yeah. You're going out with him? Yeah.
Doing well.
How long have you been together?
Two years.
So, what's he got so special, then?
He's lovely.
Yeah? I'm lovely.
If ever you wanted, like, change or something?
Yeah, yeah, like a plan B kind of thing. Oh, OK, cool. Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
What's your name, mate? I had a guess.
Got it wrong.
Whoops. Sorry about that.
A bit awkward.
Anyway, right, sorry, my bad, my bad. Look, look, mate.
Look, I tell you what, you can have this on the house. No, no, no. You can have
it. It's on me, but look, I'm really sorry. Look.
No, I'm sorry.
Mate, I ain't got time for games. I've got customers.
Look, there you go.
Cheers, guys.
Cheers.
When performing magic, my goal is to make people speechless or amazed or
sometimes even laugh.
But the people at ITV have challenged me to see if I can use my magical skills
to make some celebrities scream.
But I thought I'd better try it out in the public.
Hey, girl. Hello, hello, hello.
I'm a magician. Can I show you something quickly?
We're filming something. Is that all right? Okay, yeah.
I'm Ben. Nice to meet you. I'm Amy. Amy. Nice to meet you, Amy. Amber. Amber.
Nice to meet you. Cool.
This is something I'm going to show you on my phone.
We're doing a whole piece about apps and stuff.
But this is a new app.
It's like augmented reality.
You've heard of augmented reality and stuff?
Amy, wasn't it? Yeah. Amy, hold your hand out. If I take a picture.
If I place that there.
That looks like it's your hand, doesn't it?
See that?
Oh, yeah.
Oh! Oh, no, no, keep it there, keep it there, keep it there, keep it there.
Look, look, look.
That looks like it's on your hand, doesn't it? Yeah.
It's like I say, it's augmented reality. I put my finger in, it comes out.
But the thing is, well, you can come back. Boris, come back.
Look at it.
It's quite cool.
It's quite funky. But the coolest thing, look, if you hold... Just put your hand
on top. Put your hand on top.
Ah!
My spider trip made that woman on the street scream.
But the challenge was to make celebrities scream or swear using magic.
I've lined up an interview with Arisha Williams, who thinks he's meeting a
normal news reporter.
How we doing, Arisha? You all right? Lovely to see you, Ben. And you?
Looking good.
I'm here to pick your brains on something.
OK, go. Right, there's a new report. I don't know if you've read about this.
It's been in a load of the papers about this new research from the University of
Solihull in Canada.
And it's about energy and the way the energy moves, right? And this scientist
has been working on human electrical energy. So you've heard that your brain
electrical energy, your whole body has energy, right?
He believes that you can transfer your energy, your living energy, onto other
objects.
Quite interesting.
That's interesting.
Something like a superhero, kind of. That's kind of how it started, that idea
can you move your energy into something else, right?
And for years, people thought this guy was nuts, but he's just had a
breakthrough, and he's starting to get electrical objects to do things with his
own electrical energy.
Really? I'll show you what I mean.
Can we just borrow that?
Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Right, this is a light bulb. Yeah. All right,
he believed with a light bulb, you need very little electrical energy to light
that up. Okay. So in theory, you could transfer a bit of your electrical energy
into that light bulb to light it up. Really?
I don't really think... It's going to work. I think that's absolute.
Sorry. I was going to say what?
Bonnets. But, you know. You're doubting the science.
Sorry, I know I'm doubting the science. I am doubting the science.
All right.
It's science. That's not science. That's like make -believe. Well, this is
science. This is a sample. Let's try it. Let's try it. So, hold it with your
left hand there.
Cool. Hold it like that.
And focus on trying to get that to light up.
Just in your head, all your energy, it's lighting that up.
You are messed up you're super messed up I've got something to tell you I'm
actually a magician
Strike one. I managed to make him swear twice, but who's counting?
Coming up, Shameless star Jodie Latham feels like bailing out of a boat trip
from hell.
I take on a tough guy with some knockout magic.
And Helen Flanagan has a Halloween shocker.
I'm down by the water waiting for bad boy EastEnders and shameless actor Jody
Latham. He thinks he's coming to a photo shoot on a luxurious boat. Little does
he know it's headed for treacherous water.
He's recently bought himself an expensive watch, so I'm going to use his
newfound bling as bait for my next crit.
Jody thinks he's doing a cool photo shoot for a smart men's mag, so he's
probably a bit disappointed when he realises I'm his very unprofessional
photographer. And we're shooting in the rain.
Right, let's do it. Tim, are we right to get on there? Yeah, fine. Right, you go
first.
If this camera goes, I'm screwed.
I'm going to jump here.
If you get down there, keep walking there, face me.
Use your left hand to hold on.
Right, leg, one leg, one leg.
All right, let's get down there.
There we go. That's good.
I'd buy that. It's your boat. You've got your navy jacket on.
I told you, let's do some without the watch. Do you want to take the watch
I don't really want to take it off.
I could really do with some close -ups of it and stuff like that and putting it
next to some stuff.
Oh, sweet.
That's wicked.
I told you, let's move you over here.
We'll get you over here with it.
Yeah, we'll just put you over here.
Jodie's just seen me chuck his £2 ,000 Rolex in the river.
You are fucking joking, aren't you?
Mate.
Mate.
You're having a fucking laugh, aren't you?
Mate. Don't be doing this to me.
I'm sorry, I just slipped.
Oh.
Mate, I'm so sorry.
Oh, my.
Look, look, I reckon I can get it. Hold on, wait, I can probably get it.
Are you having a laugh? You're not going to be able to get it.
No, I'll be able to get it. Look, look.
Here, hold that, hold that, hold that. Don't chuck it in.
Mate, I reckon I can get it, mate. I'm serious.
No, I just dropped your watch, mate.
No, just stay there. I can get it, I can get it, I can get it. Just don't worry
about it. I can get it.
I can get it.
What?
Got a fish.
Look, Jodie, I got a fish, mate. I got a fish.
Look.
Look, Jodie.
Look.
I got an actual fish.
It's not really moving.
Jodie, look.
Jodie, look. Come here. Come here.
Look. Oh, my God. What are you doing?
Look, Jodie, look.
Oh, my God.
What the hell is that?
Oh, mate, don't do that.
Oh, that is disgusting.
That is absolutely disgusting.
Is that yours?
What are you doing? Is that yours?
Yeah.
Is that definitely yours?
Is this actually happening?
What the fuck is going on?
Jodie.
Jodie.
Is that your watch? Yes, it is. Thank you.
I've got something to tell you. You're a strange man, aren't you? I'm not a
photographer. Yeah, you're not. My name's Ben Hanlon. I'm a magician.
You've just been tricked. Look.
What? Camera's in there. Oh, stop it. Camera's in there. Oh, my God. You're an
absolute wind -up.
Oh, my God. I thought you was a really shit photographer as well.
Don't hit me with that.
Hold it up. Hold it up. Look at that.
That is a good catch.
We're doing this photo shoot, and then next thing, your man whizzes my
Rolex watch with pride and joy in the river. I was half tempted to throw him
after it, but I thought better of it. I was just completely shocked.
And then he pulled out a massive fish.
Really bizarre.
Really bizarre.
And then cut the fish open and...
reveal my watch which was inside this fish which i don't i've really worked
bit out yet it's just shocked i was just really shocked
next up i'm behind
the counter at a memorabilia shop where people come to buy and sell mementos
from their favorite stars let's hope i don't damage anything
There you go.
Okay.
I've been told that they're worth quite a bit now.
They can be, yeah, they can be. I mean, this is what? It's a World Cup 1966
final programme, England versus Germany. I mean, it's pretty much the most
sought -after programme in the world. This is great. This is wicked.
All right, do you mind if I open it, have a look? Yeah, fine, as long as
careful with it, mate.
I will be, I will be.
That grin kind of scared me there a little bit.
All right, I'll be careful.
Right.
Oh, it's great. It's wicked. This is, ah, this, look at that.
Got all the teams there.
The squad.
These can be worth lots if they're in mint condition.
Right, yeah.
Ah.
Have you been, have you been looking after this?
I've been keeping it in the wallet and then I've been lying it flat in a
Whereabouts was it? I kept it in a drawer in my bedroom.
Ordinary drawer.
stagnant air, isn't it? Oh, I don't know. I mean, I was just told that's the
best way to keep it. Yeah, well, it can be, but the thing is, right, if you
look, you can almost see the letters with the moisture starting to come off
it. You're joking, mate. No one else is with it. Look, look, I can almost see
the letters just... Frigging hell, what are you doing, mate?
Look.
You're having a laugh.
You are having a laugh.
Mate, that's the moisture that is.
You're fucking joking.
Look, mate, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Look, I can fix it. Look, look, watch, watch,
watch, watch, look. Yeah, let me try. Look, if I take the letters, look.
Look, look, look.
I just take these.
Yeah.
Watch.
What's on the letters?
Look.
Look.
See? I mean, it's almost as good as new.
It's cool.
That's how it was.
If you keep that in good condition, it'll be worth about 300 quid, that,
Are you okay there?
Yeah, I'm just trying to find something.
This is Arsenal.
Arsenal? Yeah, I've only got about 100 pounds of spend.
Okay, all right. It's really special for my dad, so he's a huge fan.
Okay, so it's for your dad?
Yeah. Huge fan.
Well, we've got a bunch of Arsenal stuff.
Tell you what we have got.
We've got that shirt just come in a see the yellow one That was signed by
Michael Thomas who scored the winning goal in 1989 against Liverpool to make
Arsenal win the league That was a wicked wicked shirt all gunas love that. Okay,
so I tell you what, do you like it made you like the look of it?
Pretty cool. Yeah You like it how much you say got to spend a
hundred hundred I was going to put it on about 120.
I'll do it for 100.
I'd love it.
All right, okay, I'll do it for 100. How are you going to pay?
Oh, right.
It is good, isn't it? I mean, he's going to love that.
But I'll tell you what.
I'm really going to miss that shirt.
Yeah.
I'm really going to miss it. I just... Anyway,
he's going to love that. He's going to love that shirt.
He's going to love it.
I bought that one.
You bought the one in the frame, didn't you?
No, I bought that one. That was in the frame.
I definitely bought that one.
You bought the shirt in the frame, didn't you? Yeah, but it was that shirt.
That's impossible.
No, but it was definitely that shirt.
That can't happen.
No, it's definitely that shirt because I've begun a shirt and that's not the
shirt I've bought.
Look, don't worry about it. You're getting a bit confused.
I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll throw in free delivery. I'll go get that
for you. No, no, no. No, don't worry. It's all right. I don't want it. I don't
want...
Earlier, I managed to make a Riche Williams swear.
My challenge to make celebrities swear or scream continues at this charity
football game with these wags.
So ladies, do you mind if I ask you a few questions for iCivic? Is that
Yeah! Cool, cool.
Basically, it's about a new fad diet that's been all the rage in places like
Japan, Taiwan, China. It's coming over here soon.
You may have heard of it.
And it basically means you can eat whatever you want, but it involves a
bit of acupuncture.
The Chinese name for this as well translates as needles in inside.
That's what it translates.
Well, that's what I thought. I mean, I was reading the instructions. It seemed
bit weird. But look, let me show you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Here, hold your hand out. Hold your hand out, yeah.
Well,
look,
according to this diet, all you've got to do, have a big lunch. I had a bit of
snack earlier. And then the needles will break the fat from the inside.
You're not doing that
But
if you want it to go and lose more weight you have to have a
bunch
But
obviously You don't
leave them there for too long because it's dangerous, isn't it? So
No,
you'll be okay.
The thing is, they give you this Chinese floss as well.
And apparently you have to leave them in there for like 30 seconds or so.
And then... Oh, my
God.
Oh, my God.
Wow.
That is amazing.
So will you be trying that diet?
Oh yeah, of course.
Coming up, things get heated on my innovation stool.
And it's trick, not treat for Helen Flanagan.
Meet Stuart, a personal trainer with his own boxing gym. He's asked me to come
down and help him wind up one of his super fit mates.
And I'm planning something impossible.
Humiliating him by beating the tough guy in a strength contest.
He's got no idea he's being filmed and that I'm a magician.
Stuart, we're here in your gym.
Absolutely. How long have you had this gym?
11 years now. Yeah, quite a while.
So today we're tricking Harry.
Tell me a little bit about Harry.
Well, Harry is a lively chap and he's a big chap. If I was to give him a little
challenge, you reckon he's going to bite on it? He'll bite, yeah, very easily.
And why have you decided to set Harry up? Because of how he will react to it.
think he will be bouncing off the walls with shock.
He's that kind of guy.
So what do you think would happen if I was to beat him at, like, a strength
challenge? I think you're going to see a pretty animated response from Harry.
Great. Great. Cool.
Well, look, when Harry gets here, remember, he's got no idea he's being
Yeah. You're going to be his personal trainer as normal, and I'm going to just
work out here in the gym, and then I'm going to interrupt you guys at some
point. Okay.
Cool? Absolutely.
Wicked. All right, mate. Cool. See you in a bit. See you in a bit.
While I wait for Harry, lad, here's a trick guaranteed to make your eyes
Seriously, don't try this.
What's your name, mate?
Henrique. Henrique.
Can you come out here for a minute, mate?
Right.
So, you do Brazilian Jiu -Jitsu? Yes.
What is Brazilian Jiu -Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu -Jitsu is a mix of martial arts where we can involve punch, kicks,
takedowns. What level?
I'm a black belt.
Okay, all right, black belt, all right.
I want you to kick me in the baby maker.
Oh, no.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Here's what we do. Step forward, step forward.
Oh, yeah, by the way, some people think I might have padding and stuff.
Casey, just check.
No, no, just back of your hand, back of your hand. No padding there, no? No, no
padding. Do you guys want to check?
No, I'm all right.
Have a look.
A look?
Okay, right, so no padding.
Okay, I want you to kick me as hard as you can, right, when you're ready.
Oh.
Are you all right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm cool.
Felt like you kind of held back on that a bit. Yeah, no problem.
Go a little bit harder, okay?
Okay.
One more time.
Go harder. Oh, my God.
Wait, wait, wait.
Okay. This way you want? I want.
Okay,
okay.
We should be down right now.
I'm not going to lie. That wasn't fun.
I'm going to try this on you now, if that's all right.
You're a hard man. That's not very, very nice of you, you know.
I don't want to feel that kind of pain on me.
Oh my god.
Alright, alright.
Oh no.
Okay, you're good. But I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm not going to
you there.
I'm going to do something with my finger and my thumb, okay?
That's it, just the finger and the thumb.
This probably will hurt.
You do have a mat behind you, okay?
You all right? How did that feel? It was a little bit weird.
Yeah? Yeah.
How are you feeling, all right? I'm fine. Yeah? Yeah.
Okay, all right. Are you expecting to go down off that?
No, not from there.
No? Okay, all right. Anyway, thank you very much. Cheers. Thank you. Thank you.
Now for the main event.
Harry's arrived for his personal training session, but he's soon got
when I butt in.
I'm playing that jerk you don't want to be working out next to.
Two.
Three.
Four. Five.
Six. Twenty -five.
Twenty -four.
Twenty -three.
Got you blowing, innit?
Time to wind Harry up a bit before I hit him with my magic.
A little shake about.
Everything alright?
Yeah, good. We're going to do a second set on that. One second.
No gain, eh?
How many do you go for?
Fifteen. He's the best, innit?
I eat fifteen for breakfast.
Fifteen, you said?
Fifteen. Fifteen.
Seventeen. You might as well have a quick hippie walk, mate. It's alright.
Give it a go.
It's harder than that, mate. Go on, hit it hard. Hit it hard. Go on.
Have a few seconds. Have a drink.
Sorry, do you want that?
Here you go.
Sorry.
For a big lad, you don't hit that hard, do you?
You killed him.
Is that the warm -up?
Good, Harry. Take your time, mate. Take your time.
Yeah, get him out of my bag. That'll sort him out.
I'm doing my level best to be a complete Muppet.
You're going to puke, big man.
Go on.
Three, two, one, let's go. 30 seconds.
It's going to be sick.
Okay. Surely he can't take much more. I'm even annoying myself.
Fancy a challenge, big man?
Come on.
Fancy a challenge, you and me.
Come on. One punch.
One punch.
You're bigger than me. Come on, one punch.
Yeah?
You got one punch in you?
You got one punch?
You sure? I mean, do you want to go have a nap?
Yeah? You sure, big man? I want to see this.
Here's the challenge, big man.
Stand here.
One punch, stand in here, at that bag, not on me.
One punch, as hard as you got, and I'll do my punch, you can judge the hardest
punch. You got a few stone on me, you should be able to whack that a mile.
Yeah, but I can move it back, Harry.
You sure? I'm going to do as hard as I can.
Come on. Give me the prize power, come on.
Pretty good. Head punch it, not tickle it.
Go, where's my glove?
That was actually really impressive, but I think I know how to beat it.
That's what I'm talking about.
Poor Harry doesn't know what just happened.
What do you think, big man?
Yeah, that's good.
Good going.
What do you think?
Pretty good.
Yeah? Yeah.
Pressure?
No,
but I do need to get a new bag and new chain now.
Hey, look, I'll show you I did it right.
I'm a magician.
This is a hidden camera TV show.
You're being filmed right now.
I'm not a magician. You are.
I've never met anyone as annoying as that in a gym.
Just generally acting like an idiot.
Really frustrating.
Generally looked like he hit it extremely hard. When it went flying off
hook, thinking I've never seen one hit like that before. I felt like a complete
woof. Yeah, pretty amazing.
I'm about to go undercover in a shopping centre, plugging some fake new
inventions that definitely don't work as advertised.
Time to practice my sales skills on the public.
First up, the x -ray spectacle.
Nice to meet you, I'm Ben. I'm Eb.
Eb. I'm Koobs. Koobs, nice to meet you.
I'm about to go undercover in an innovation store, like a gadget type
And I've made a bit of a gadget myself.
This is the world's first x -ray spec.
And they properly work, they really work.
You're laughing, these are the future, girls.
Look, I'll show you what I mean.
You've got...
a bag there in a moment i want you to both turn around reach into your bag
an object each something that can fit inside your hands like that and then
back around like this okay but don't show me the object okay cool cool all
go do that now turn around reach into the bag they're not running off father
all right so uh i got so yeah when you're ready turn
back around when you're ready i'm not looking all right cool cool all right
let's see how these bad boys work If you stand here.
Cool, look. Just hold it just like that.
Yours is, um... It's like a... It's like a... I want to say, like, medicine or
something.
Is that right? Like a small bottle of something?
Is it?
What is it? Let's have a look.
Eye drops.
Eye drops. A bottle of medicine. All right, cool.
All right, all right. Okay, hold your hands just there.
It's like... Is it...
Like headphones.
Is it headphones?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
They actually do work.
No, they work really well. I mean, they're really good. They can see
anything. Like, for example, your underwear's black and your underwear's
Oh, my God.
All right.
That's right.
Time to go undercover on my innovation store.
the secret cameras are rigged and i'm ready to demo a hot new mobile phone
charger but will it prove too hot let's try it on this lady all right
yes yeah the insta charger okay have you heard about this
yeah yeah the is the charger basically it's this new way of charging it
literally charges a full phone in 30 seconds and any phone and you don't even
need to plug it in you place it on top and it just does it yeah
If it's completely flat, a minute, but basically 30 seconds.
Have you got a phone on you?
Yeah.
What have you got?
What does that do?
Forward. Forward. Do you mind if I take the case off?
All right, cool.
If you have to take the case off, you place it literally just there, start
charging, and so it's basically about 30... What?
Get that off there. Get that off there. Hold on, hold on, hold on. The device
is, like, charged, maybe. I don't want to touch it. Just give it a sec.
No, no, I could get shot from that. I could get a shot, couldn't I?
Well, there's no need to swear. Is it insured?
Okay,
okay, all right, all right. I've got an extinguisher here.
Okay, okay, all right, all right.
Hardly damaged. It's a bit round the edges.
Are you insured on that? No, I'm not insured on that.
But... It'll be charged.
Is it faulting? It's fucking faulting.
Here, do you want it? You can have it back.
That's better.
That's better. Look, look, look.
Look.
Oh, it's hot.
Fully charged. There you go. Look. Is that your phone?
Time to take off my sales hat and put on
my security badge as I go undercover in a clothes shop.
Come on, mate.
Cheers, mate. Thanks. Cheers.
Come back, please, mate.
Did you buy anything?
No.
Look in.
Come step forward, mate.
You didn't buy anything?
No.
Did you take anything?
No. No? If the alarm goes off, I have to check up on that.
I'm just going to have to do a quick search, if that's all right.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's that?
What's that?
I don't know.
That's one of our tags.
What? Did you take this?
No, not at all. I've had this since about a year ago. A year? Yeah.
But why's it got a tag on it, then? If you've had it a year, why's it got a tag
on it? No idea.
I've used it to be able to jump about.
I got it last year in Southend.
In Southend? Yeah.
If you're going to make up a story, that's what you said. No -one chooses to
to Southend.
If you give us 80, you can go.
But this is mine. Yeah, but you haven't got... Have you got a receipt?
No, I got it a year ago.
Shoplifting is a crime.
But this is mine.
But if I see crimes, I've got to call them in.
I'll tell them not to bite me or something, because this is mine.
Are you saying you have no idea how that got there? Nope.
All right.
Well, look, I don't even know if we sell this food in the store. I'll tell you
what. All right, all right, look.
Look. Look.
What's this?
Cunt.
It's all right.
It's all right.
Look, it's definitely gone. There's no marks or anything.
There's nothing there.
No? No.
Cool. Mate, thank you very much. Cheers.
The sun's shining. Why don't you enjoy the rest of your day? In a bit, mate.
Coming up,
things get spooky at my haunted house.
And a fake photo shoot with Helen Flanagan turns into a Halloween horror
What's wrong?
What's wrong?
This is one of the spookiest old houses I've ever been in. It's dark, dank and
all Georgian and that, and perfect for some creepy magic.
We've invited Helen Flanagan here for a photo shoot. What she doesn't realise is
that she's also in for a super spooky shot.
While the team rigged this place with hidden cameras, I've invited these girls
on a Halloween tour of this old house.
Hello, hello, I'm Ben. Hello.
Hi. Hello, I'm Ben. Nice to meet you. Hello. Hello, I'm Ben.
Right, the reason we're here, girls, is this house gives me the creeps.
I don't know about you.
Kind of, got that vibe.
That vibe, yeah.
It's in the part of London where Jack the Ripper used to frequent, and they
that there's a good chance that he's probably walked past this door many a
looking for his next victim.
And because they've kept it the way they have, it's got a kind of weird feeling
about it.
But also, there's been loads of really odd reports of things happening in this
house.
And there's one thing that happens, which is a bit strange. We'll see if we
do it. Hopefully it's going to work. Have any of you got any money on you?
Yeah, I've got... Like a note would be perfect.
Yeah, I've got a £10 note.
Yeah, £10, that's good, that's good. You'll get some of it back.
Yeah, perfect, right?
See, look, we'll use this note and that, look.
Oh, my God.
See that?
Yeah.
I want to show you something else as well. All right.
Let's do this.
Can you come here? Stand here.
Let's watch.
If I take this, place it about there.
Come here. Hold hands.
I want you to all focus on the £10.
Keep focusing on it.
What the fuck?
There's some demons in this house.
You were focusing, look.
I'm not touching that, though. No!
It's a prayer. It's a prayer.
You better take that and get changed.
Everything's set for Helen's fake photo shoot.
She arrives with her manager and starts to pose for some photos with the team
upstairs.
I tell her I'm doing some backstage filming for the magazine website.
So all's going
well, now to get some alone time with Miss Flanagan.
I ask you to join me downstairs to answer a few questions on my camera.
Great. And if there's any questions you don't particularly like... It's weird,
isn't it?
It's like you said, it's a creepy thing. A bit further. Turn your face down
there. Let's look towards... No, just down a bit further.
Cool. All right, so it's about the body beautiful.
First of all, I'm just going to basically jump cut loads of different
together. Look at me.
I'm just going to whiz around just so they've got stuff.
You're cool with going up, down?
Yeah, cool.
That's good. That was natural. Good.
Okay, so camera work isn't my forte, but luckily I do know a thing or two about
magic.
What? What? What's wrong? What?
Oh my god!
Vivian! What's wrong?
Vivian! What's wrong?
Vivian, I wanna go!
What's wrong? Vivian, oh my god! Fuck, I can't! What's wrong?
What's wrong?
Are you alright?
Are you alright? Are you alright?
Are you okay? What's up? What's up? Are you okay?
What's up?
No, I've just seen a fucking ghost! That's horrible!
Ghost? I've just seen a ghost with a fucking...
Helen's manager Vivian is in on the joke, but she'll have to keep a straight
face for a bit longer I've got a
bit more magic in store, but we've got to talk her back inside first
All right, stay here with me, then.
Okay. Let's just do it. Okay, let's just do it. Let's do one line from the
interview, and then we'll be done. That's it. We'll leave the doors open.
leave everything open.
And you can stay right here, Viv. You stay right there. I'm staying here. Just
look at me. It's fine. Just look at me. Just look at me. Just get one last line
from the interview.
Just look at me. All good.
You okay?
Okay, it's okay. No, something just happened.
It might have been something next door.
So the lights changed.
So... Yeah.
Hey, just look at me, look at me.
Look at me.
No, that's not working.
Helen,
I've got something to tell you.
I'm not really working for some sort of magazine.
My name's Ben Hanlon.
I'm a magician.
And you're part of a brand new TV show for ITV2.
You've been tricked.
Forgive us. Please forgive us. Sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
You were so mean. Sorry.
Do you know how scared I was? Oh, my God. Thank you for coming back in. I
bit disoriented because I thought I was supposed to be doing a photo shoot, so I
was like, right, I'm doing my photo shoot.
It was kind of weird, really, and he told me to kind of look over there. I
thinking, what is this guy doing? And then I turned around and just saw that
that is my worst nightmare.
This little girl with long hair holding a teddy bear like that, I was like... It
was absolutely horrendous.
I'm very jumpy, and I was like, oh, my God, that was just awful.
I can't tell you how awful that was. It was really quite horrendous.
And if you want more late -night magic on a Sunday, don't go anywhere. The boys
in blue, the band, obviously, and Rylan Clark get well and truly tricked in just
a sec.
