- I can't tell you where I am right now. It's too dangerous.
They're hunting us.
And they're getting closer every day.
So this is gonna be my last contact for a while.
Delete this message as soon as it's finished.
Even knowing a Christian
can get you thrown in jail, or worse.
And I haven't stopped.
I won't stop.
No matter what they do to me, I won't stop.
You remember that night?
Everything changed.
(foreboding music)
It haunts me.

- [Officer] Getting into position.
(dog barking)
Right here. In position.
(footsteps crunching)
In position.
- Did you hear that? - Yeah.

- Sir, we have something big going on over here.
I believe we are very close to The Apostle.
Yes, sir.
Lane.
Burn it to the ground.
(dramatic music)
(fire crackling)
- Just two years ago, here in Springfield, Ohio,
we saw the consequences of unchecked religious zealotry.
I vowed when I became president
that I would never allow that bigotry
to encroach on the freedoms of the American citizen.
And I kept that promise.
We have purified this country
from the archaic and hateful words of the Holy Bible
and replaced them with an inclusive, welcoming text
that reflects our current values and beliefs.
(crowd cheering)
You know, we've made great progress in my first four years.
I'm so proud of this administration
and the work that we've accomplished.
We've accomplished this
by reopening this beautiful facility,
and we've accomplished it through our Bible buyback program,
which takes the old and dangerous Bible out of circulation,
and paves the way to the uplifting language
of our new Enlightened Truth Bible.
But the work is not yet done.
(crowd cheering)

Oh, come on, girl. Let's go.

Here you go. Thank you for your patriotism.
God bless you.
Next, please.
(tools rattling) (upbeat music)
- Sorry I'm late!
- There's no denying that the old Bible
is still being trafficked in certain parts of the country.
Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan
are a few of the states that have taken some drastic steps
to restrict what comes in and out of their borders.
These states now have the technology to monitor
for not only narcotics and human trafficking,
but also the hate speech
that is located within the old Holy Bible.
Ohio is really leading this initiative.
These concerted efforts are making us safer
on a day-to-day basis.
Our law enforcement officers
stand in harm's way every day. (doorbell dinging)
They should be applauding this.
I know I sleep easier now knowing (indistinct).
There are some notable exceptions,
like Indiana, Illinois.
- Ma'am, do you have any weapons?
- No.
- We're gonna need to see your bag.
- [Newsreader] When it comes to this type of security.
And look, this increased awareness is important
to protect our way of life.
- [Officer] Is this your phone?
- Yes.
- [Scanner] Scanning. (scanner beeping)
Illegal items found.
47 counts of hate speech,
including original Holy Bible.
- You need to come with us.
- No. Okay.
I didn't do anything wrong. It's not what you think, okay?
Fine!
Fine!
Why?
Why, why? Why do you do that?
(people chattering)
(doorbell dinging)
- Hey, Ashley.
- Hi, Nate.
- Jim. - Hey.
(doorbell dinging)
- Where have you been? Baby, I've been calling.
- I'm sorry I'm late.
- Did you make the delivery? - No.
- What can I get for ya?
- Coffee. Black.
And, uh, this looks great. I'll have what she's having.
And the check whenever you get a chance as well.
- [Waitress] All right.
- Homeland showed up.
- Are you serious? - It's okay. Don't freak out.
Jake and I got out. They didn't see us.
But It's all gone, Rachel.
They burned everything.
- What are you gonna do? - I don't know.
I'll figure it out, though.
- All right, here's that coffee for ya.
- Thank you.
- Okay, this isn't working.
What about talking with Jim Edwards?
He was just here. He saw everything that happened.
- I don't think he'll do it.
- Well, you haven't asked him.
Nate.
You just told me that everything is gone.
And Jim is the only person that we know
who has the slightest idea how to do any of this.
- Rachel. - Please.
Please.
It cannot hurt to talk to him.
- Do you seriously think that after everything
that man's been through-
- What I think
is that we need him.
And under these circumstances, maybe he'll change his mind.
- Breaking news this morning coming out of Chicago.
Commuter train 116 derailed this morning
after it collided with a pickup truck just south of Chicago,
near Cedar Lake, Indiana.
The driver of the truck
and 57 passengers aboard the train were killed.
This is the second accident involving a commuter train
in the last 12 months.
An investigation is underway.
The holidays are just around the corner.
- Oh my gosh.
(ominous music)
- Don't.
(brooding music)
- There you go. - Thank you.
(brooding music continues)
- Everything okay?
What is it?
Nate?
Honey?
(mysterious music)
- Hello, Nate.
- Who are you?
- You know who I am.
- And this?
- You know what that is too.
(ominous music)
I don't have time for games.
- Wait.
(dramatic music)
What do you want?
- I hear you want to spread the Word.
I have a job for you.
- Let's go. - What is going on?
- I'll explain later. Not here.
- Okay.
- [Nate] These people need the Bible, honey.
- [Rachel] Okay, but we don't know if we can trust this guy.
- It's a risk we have to take.
- Honey, is this even possible?
- Which part?
Getting Bibles to seven underground churches
in three different states in a two-hour window?
Or just getting my hands on a Bible
to smuggle in the first place?
- Why can't he do it?
Or why can't these people come to you?
That makes more sense.
- Because they're being watched.
Their locations have been compromised,
and they have a very small window to come out of hiding.
- Okay, but why does it have to be you?
- Because he has too big a target on his back.
I'm a nobody.
Homeland hasn't ID'd us.
Honey, you see what's happening out there.
They're chasing down every hint of the original Bible.
Physical copies, digital, online, you name it.
Now people are getting arrested, and despite all of that,
God has protected us.
- You know, it's a really good thing that I love you.
- Yeah? - Mm.
Because I don't think I like you right now.
(Nate chuckles)
And you're gonna need a really good team to pull this off.
- I know where to start.
And I do love you too.
- Okay.
Still mad at you.
- Yeah? What else is new?
(Rachel laughs)
(ominous music)
- [Computer] Voice analysis complete. No match.
Updating profile on The Apostle.
Incoming data packet from Ohio Border Patrol.
- [Officer] Hey, Field Ops, you seeing this? Intel was good.
- [Computer] Domestic terrorist threat level upgraded.
(door opening)
(telephone beeps)
- Hazzard.
When?
And with whom did he meet?
- So we needed five of each? - Yes.
- It's the same logo as before?
- [Customer] Yes.
(somber music)
- I have no reason to doubt who he was. He gave this to me.
- No, Nate. You've seen a fake.
- It was tattooed to his arm, Jim. Come on.
It was The Apostle. I'm sure of it.
- I thought I warned you not to do it.
- And why is that? - Dad, there's a sales rep
here to see you. - Yes, not now, Ashley.
- Okay. Do you want me to tell him to come back?
- Yeah, just tell him to come back, please.
I just, I'm in the middle of something right now.
- Okay.
I'm sorry. He's tied up.
- You better know what you're doing,
'cause he's dangerous and he justifies his actions
all in the name of serving God.
- You helped him, Jim. You worked with him in Springfield.
- Yeah, and you see where that got me?
(somber music)
- So you won't help us?
- It's just- it's just gonna end badly, Nate.
- I'm sorry to hear that.
If you change your mind,
we're meeting at my house tomorrow night.
- Think it through, Nate.
(somber music continues)
(Jim sighs)
- So you're not gonna help him?
It's been two years, Dad.
- Not now, Ashley.
- Okay, well, maybe I'll do it then.
- Absolutely not! - Okay, so what?
Am I supposed to just sit here like you do
and hide out in the basement?
You know, I think Mom would've wanted-
- That's enough!
- I am sorry. - No.
The sales rep left this for you.
- I'm sorry!
(door opens)
(door closes)
- You wanted to see me, sir?
- The Apostle is in the area.
According to one of our informants,
he met at a local diner with a man named Nate Smith.
Nate Smith then went on to meet with this man.
His name is Jim Edwards.
- [Tynan] You want us to make an arrest, sir?
- No.
Edwards was known to work for The Apostle for several years,
but then quit suddenly after his wife was killed.
Watch these men.
If The Apostle is not apprehended,
more situations like the Springfield incident
will begin to crop up all over the country.
- Yes, sir.
(door bangs) (keys jangling)
- So are you gonna tell me what happened last night,
or are you just gonna act like everything's fine?
- Austin finally go to bed?
I told you.
- Are you getting chased?
Shot at?
- Come on, Danelle.
The less you know- - No!
I've put up with this long enough.
You're never home anymore.
Your son got a detention yesterday.
A detention, Jake!
But that's only a small part of what's been going on lately.
- He seems fine to me.
- [Danelle] And how is that really important, huh?
- This is important.
- And we're not? - I didn't say that!
- You didn't have to!
(somber music)
(Jake and Danelle arguing)
- Don't worry about it!
- I have to because you won't!
At least, if you're done with these overnighters,
maybe you can focus on your real job.
You were done, aren't you?
You promised. That's why I said it was okay.
- Something came up.
What?
What came up?
- Nate got a big job.
- So what? - He needs my help.
- Just don't go! - I can't walk away!
- You're walking away from us!
- How do you not understand this? (indistinct)
But these people are starving for the real Word of God.
And we're trying to raise that boy back there
to know who God is.
And what is he supposed to think if we can't even
get on the same page? - We?
We? - Yeah, we.
- We are not raising him. I am.
- You're doing a great job too.
- I didn't sign up for this.
I'm going to bed.
- [Rachel] And you trust them, your team?
- Perfect!
- Honey, I don't know, this just feels...
This feels really rushed, doesn't it?
- I mean, I wish I had months to plan this thing,
but we don't.
Hey.
Sweetheart, what's going on?
- Listen, I'm- I'm not trying to be difficult, I promise.
I just...
(Rachel sighs)
I love you, and I just wanna make sure
that you are really thinking through this clearly.
It scares me.
- I've thought through this every which way I can.
Is it a foolproof idea? No.
But I trust these guys.
Rachel.
Are you with me on this?
- Yeah.
I'm with you. Promise.
(foreboding music)
(car door slams)
(Jake knocks)
(door creaking)
- Hey, glad to have you back, man.
Could have taken a longer leave.
- Work helps keep my mind off things.
- Thanks for coming in such short notice.
I've asked you all here because I trust you.
Now, I know that not everybody knows each other,
so let's start with some introductions.
Ty?
- I'm Tyler McCully, but you can call me Ty.
I drive trucks, so of course,
I'll be assisting on the travel and logistics.
(dramatic music)
- Cody Rogers.
Firefighter.
Met Nate at church a few years ago, he knows.
I can get myself in and out of dangerous situations.
He brought me in on a smuggling operation,
and now I help out from time to time.
- What's up, guys? Um, I'm JJ.
I'm a graphic designer. You've probably seen my work.
I specialize in finding the best way-
- This is my younger brother.
- [JJ] Yes. I've always been known as Nate's brother.
- [Nate] JJ is quick-witted, and he can think on his feet.
He's new to all this, but I trust him with my life.
- Love you too, dude.
And this is Pete.
- Oh, me? - Yeah, go for it.
- My turn? - Yeah, you're on.
- Hi, I'm Pete.
Uh, JJ and I have been friends since...
- [Both] Forever.
(Pete laughing) (video game blaring)
- [JJ] Pete's gonna get his feet wet on this job.
- I'm just excited to be here.
(foreboding music)
- Jake?
- I'm Jake Thornton.
I've helped Nate out on these kinds of jobs
for a few years now.
- Most of you guys know my beautiful wife, Rachel.
She's not actually gonna be going on the mission with us.
She'll be here in a support capacity.
And let me lay it all out for you.
I was recently approached by a man at the diner
who wants us to deliver some Bibles.
- Seems simple enough.
- No, no. Uh, original Bibles.
Illegal Bibles.
- Oh.
Oh. - Yeah.
- So, like, dangerous stuff?
- Yeah.
- Guys, this job is unlike anything we've ever done before.
There are seven underground churches spread
throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois.
Each church has designated one of its members
to come out of hiding to meet us.
Our job is to deliver a single copy
of the scriptures to that person.
- Which you won't know who they are.
Not only that, you won't know their location
until the night of the drop.
- Once we're at the prearranged location,
we will use a codeword so our contact can identify us.
The night of the drop,
we will have a two-hour window to meet our contact.
- If you miss 'em, you will not see them again.
- Now, here's the tricky part.
Our supply was recently burned,
and we currently do not have any Bibles to deliver.
Furthermore, I don't know how
we're gonna get our hands on any.
Yet.
And we have two weeks.
- All while flying under the radar of Homeland Security.
- Look, I know that that's a lot to process,
but I wanted to be blunt with you because I feel
like you guys need to know what we're up against.
So,
are you in?
- Who'd you say this guy was?
- The Apostle.
- You mean The Apostle? You sure it was him?
'Cause I mean, it could've been an imposter,
for all we know.
- He had one of these.
- What's that?
It's a Chi Rho,
two ancient Greek letters that form a symbol of Christ.
Early Christians used it to identify each other,
because they were constantly persecuted.
So when they saw this symbol, they knew they were safe.
The Apostle became identified with this symbol.
- So he's like Batman?
- Now, you said seven churches.
There's only six of us.
- [Nate] Waiting on one more guy.
- Who?
- Jim Edwards.
- No! The guy that got his wife killed?
- He's a friend of mine, and I'm telling you, Cody,
he has the experience that we need.
He can help us. - Yes, if he'll help.
- Yeah, and that's a big if.
I mean, I don't know about you guys,
but I'd like to stay alive during this whole thing now.
- Okay, um, nobody's getting killed. It's not like that.
- Yeah, Jim's wife just died by accident,
and people are just randomly disappearing too, am I right?
- It was an accident. These things happen.
And people aren't disappearing.
The government doesn't do that. They're not the Gestapo.
Do you know how paranoid you sound?
The only thing you're missing is a (scoffs) tinfoil hat.
- You haven't seen what we've seen.
- I'll tell you what I've seen.
(gentle music)
- I've seen the joyful faces of people
who've had a copy of the Word of God delivered to them.
I've seen hope.
We can be the couriers of hope
to the people in these seven churches.
Nobody said that this job doesn't have risks. It does.
So if you want out,
now's the time.
(gentle music continues)
Okay.
Good.
(door creaking)
(object clattering)
(ominous music)
(crickets chirping)
(dramatic music)
(alarm beeps)
(door latch clacks)
- Hi.
(ominous music)
(line ringing) - Tell me what I need to know.
- About what?
I've done nothing wrong.
- [Mom] Peter? Peter, is that you?
- Mom? - There's a man here.
He says you better cooperate.
What's hap- (call disconnects)
- Tell me
what
I need
to know.
(dramatic music)
- [Nate] What's it gonna take to convince you?
- Nothing. We left Springfield to get away from this game.
- It's pretty cynical.
- Yeah, well.
- Come on, Jim, I need you.
And have you even read that government novel?
It's not even close to the living, breathing Word of God.
- Well, then you take it to them. Just leave us out of it.
- I'll do it.
- No!
- I'll go, Nate.
Look, you need another person, right?
- Yeah. - Okay, then I'll do it.
- Okay, but- - But what?
Is it because I'm a woman?
- No, it's because he knows what you're up against.
- Yeah, well, you and Mom did it.
- Think about what you're saying!
- Dad, you're not gonna do it.
- I said no!
(brooding music)
(brooding music continues)
- Jim Edwards?
- Yeah.
- Come with us, Mr. Edwards.
(alarm beeps)
(door latch clacks)
(door latch clacks)
- Mr. Edwards, it says here that you were
the pastor of a church at Springfield, Ohio.
Is that correct?
And why did you leave that position?
- It was time for a change.
- Mm.
- Where's Pete? He knows about the meeting, right?
- Yeah. Um, he's not returning my texts or calls, so...
(thunder cracking)
It's fine. It's fine.
You know, I'm sure his mom won't let him come out, so.
- His mother?
So he lives with his mother?
- In her basement.
- Exactly what we need, y'all.
Somebody that lives with their mother.
- You know, I, um,
I will go call him.
Be right back.
- Do you know this man?
And how about this man?
Mm.
What do you find so amusing?
- Most people know who The Apostle is.
- Really? Most people?
So do you find it at all surprising
that these two men met up last week?
- What if they did? What does that have to do with me?
- You see, that right there
is an excellent question, Mr. Edwards.
That is the question that I've been pondering over
and over again.
Why
would Mr. Smith
come running to you after their little meeting?
- Are people not allowed to meet with friends anymore
without raising suspicion?
I haven't done anything wrong, have I?
- No.
- So am I free to go?
- So soon?
We're just getting to know one another here.
(doorbell ringing)
Now, I understand Mr. Edwards, I do, but before you go...
- Are you expecting someone?
- Please do, uh, answer me one last question.
(foreboding music)
(device beeping)
Why is your daughter at Mr. Smith's house right now?
(device chiming)
- People are free to go wherever they wish.
She and Mrs. Smith are friends.
- No, I'm sure they are.
And as a father, I have to imagine that you have only
the best interests in mind for your daughter.
A word to the wise would be sufficient.
- Is that a threat?
- Well, that is the truth.
I mean, you are a man who seeks the truth, are you not?
As am I.
(ominous music)
Do tell your friends
not to walk around town with these in their pockets,
would you?
Uh, you're free to go now, Mr. Edwards.
(alarm beeps)
(door latch clacks)
(door latch clacks)
(door closes)
(Jim sighs)
(objects rustling)
(somber music)
(somber music continues)
(somber music continues)
(music swelling)
(knocking at door)
(JJ muttering)
- Where are you?
Then why won't you open the door?
Who did you think it was?
What's wrong with you, man?
I- I can't...
- Okay.
I texted you, like, a billion times.
- I don't wanna talk about it.
- Talk about what?
- [Mom] Peter, who's at the door?
- It's JJ, Mom!
- [Mom] Well, invite him for supper.
We're having fish sticks!
- No, Mom!
He can't stay.
- Oh, but they're really good.
- Mom, no!
Look, man, I'm sorry.
- What's going on?
Come with me to Nate's. We have another meeting.
- They're watching us. (ominous music)
- Who?
- Homeland Security.
- You believe what Cody and Ty said?
Okay, they track terrorists. You live with your mom.
- Keep your voice down.
- You're losing it.
- Look, man, I warned you.
You don't know what they can do.
(dramatic music)
- Families continue to hold memorial services
for the casualties of the derailment
of commuter train 116 outside of Chicago.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Earlier today, Illinois Attorney General William Curry
gave a brief statement to reporters.
- The investigation into the accident just south of Chicago
between commuter train 116 and a pickup truck
will now be taken over by my office.
At this time, there's enough evidence
to warrant a criminal investigation.
- [Reporter] What evidence did you find
to merit a criminal investigation?
- I'm not at liberty to give any details right now,
but there is evidence that someone
with known ties to The Apostle was involved.
We will keep the public apprised
of any additional developments.
And I will not be taking any further questions right now.
Thank you.
(crickets chirping)
(clock ticking)
(mysterious music)
- [Jim] Were you followed?
- I don't think so.
What's going on, Jim?
- You know Homeland's watching you?
I mean, somebody's talking.
- It's probably Pete. He's been gone for a few days.
How'd you know that?
- I was detained. They were asking questions about you.
- What did you say?
- Nothing. They don't have anything on me.
But they do think you'll lead them to The Apostle.
- Okay.
Is that it? Is that why you brought me out here?
- I'm in. But we do things my way, you understand?
- Absolutely.
Jim, I've been praying that God-
- I don't care about that.
It's about my daughter, about her safety.
- I'll take care of Ashley.
- With the Apostle involved,
you have no idea what you're up against.
I do.
(dramatic music)
- Seven churches.
Two in Kentucky, two in Illinois, and three in Ohio.
- We should codename each church.
- Why's that?
- To keep Homeland from discovering our locations.
How about the Seven Churches of Revelation?
- It's a good idea.
The only problem is I don't know the exact locations yet.
- You have a rough idea, right?
- Yeah. - Okay, we'll go with that,
until The Apostle gives you anything different.
Since your stash of Bibles was burned,
we'll pull from my wife's collection.
First, Illinois. County roads and cornfields.
Should be simple enough.
Jake will have codename Smyrna
Ty can take codename Sardis.
Until we know the drop point,
the exit will be between Terre Haute and Vincennes.
Kentucky could be a challenge.
- [Nate] The river?
- No, there's checkpoints at every road across the border,
so they risk exposing themselves traveling in Indiana.
What do you have in mind?
- You won't like it,
but I think it should be Cody and Ashley.
They could appear as a couple
going on vacation or something.
- Yeah, she definitely doesn't want me
looking over her shoulder.
- [Nate] It could be safer to use tributaries
that feed into the Ohio River, and then cross into Kentucky.
- [Jim] Cody will have codename Philadelphia.
Ashley will take codename Thyatira.
- How good are you with a paddle?
- And last but not least, you, me, and JJ in Ohio.
You'll have Pergamum, JJ Laodicea. I'll take Ephesus.
- We should be able to cross the border around Richmond.
- Ohio is the toughest of three borders.
If they stop you, they'll scan all your devices,
just like they did in the diner,
so digital trafficking is out.
They can read everything.
- [Nate] So we won't take main highways.
- [Jim] Ohio had a serious drug trafficking problem
a few years back.
They set up drones to patrol the border.
- [Nate] JJ and I will check it out.
(owl hooting)
I think we're getting close. Just a little further.
(drone whirring)
- Wait.
Did you hear that?
- Yeah.
(ominous music)
It's a drone.
Wait, wait.
(drone whirring)
(dramatic music) (siren wailing)
- [Drone] Stop where you are.
You are traveling in a restricted zone.
- Okay, we can't stay here.
- It's almost a mile back to the car.
- [Drone] Put your hands in the air
and come out immediately.
- It can't chase us both. I'll get its attention.
- [Drone] Come out, or you will be fired upon.
This is your final warning. - All right, we'll meet
back at the car.
- You go that way and I'll go this way.
- Okay. (gunshots banging)
(dramatic music)
(tense music)
(dramatic music)
(Nate panting)
- [Officer] Put your hands in the air!
(gunshot bangs)
- JJ! (gunshots banging)
(dramatic music)
(Nate panting) (clock ticking)
Come on. Come on, JJ.
Let's go, go, go, go, go! Get in, get in!
You okay? Are you okay? - Drive, drive, drive!
(dramatic music)
(tires screeching)
I didn't think it was gonna be like this.
- What'd you think it was gonna be like?
- Not this.
Maybe it would be better to just
be content with the revised Bible.
It's not as bad as you think, okay?
- What are you talking about? - It's still the Bible, Nate.
It's been translated many times.
Besides, there's, like, some offensive
and just plain outdated things in the Bible, okay?
I can understand why the government would want to change it.
- What are you talking about offensive?
- If God is as loving
and as gracious as the Bible says he is,
why is God sending people to hell for one mistake?
- Come on. Sin is sin, and you know that.
- But eternal death? - Yeah.
- I just believe God loves us for who we are.
- It's like I don't even know who you are right now.
- Yeah, maybe you don't.
The Jesus that I believe in, he loves me for who I am,
and for all of my mistakes.
(somber music)
- And why did Jesus have to die, JJ?
Hmm?
You know he went to the cross and sacrificed himself
to give us a way out of the awful choices
that we made that separate us from him.
He didn't do it just so that we could stay the same
great, wonderful people that we already are.
- Okay, that's harsh. - Is it?
He made a way out for us to be with him.
And all that he asked from us
is that we deny ourselves the sin
that we so desperately crave and follow him.
I'm sorry, man, but I love you enough to tell you,
you're wrong.
You are.
If you change one word in the Bible,
you're essentially trying to take the place of God.
The Bible is this beautiful, hope-filled message
full of grace and kindness and love and...
And- and yes, God's justice.
But without it...
Without it, we are hopelessly lost.
(somber music continues)
(brooding music)
- We can't leave anything to chance.
It's imperative we reduce our risk, so get creative.
How can we get Bibles into these states
without being caught?
Clock is ticking.
- [Nate] Problem number one: carrying them.
- [JJ] What about an encrypted file,
like on our phones or a hard drive or something?
- [Nate] No, their technology can read anything.
I mean, remember what happened with the woman at the diner?
This has to be something physical
that we can hand over to these churches.
- [Jake] Yeah, but you can't expect
to be carrying huge boxes,
or stuff a bunch of 'em under your shirts.
- [Jim] Which leads to problem number two.
What if you have to run?
- [JJ] Yeah, what if we get caught? then what?
- [Ashley] Yeah, that's why our cover should work.
They'd have no reason to search an obscure hiding police.
- [Cody] You seriously think they'll expect us
to be hiding Bibles here?
- [Jim] You don't think they'll search everything?
These have to be hidden in plain sight.
- [JJ] Okay, you're talking about protecting these Bibles,
but we also need to focus on protecting ourselves.
- [Jim] And that's problem number three.
- [Ty] So we wanna have protection. Guns?
- [Jim] No, no guns.
- [JJ] Are you kidding?
You're gonna send us out there defenseless?
- [Nate] Look, God protects his Word.
Okay, we have seen that time and time again.
And this time, this time will be no different.
Okay, have faith in him.
- [JJ] I don't know. There's just so many unknowns
It's hard to know how to prepare.
- One thing we can expect is these agents will try anything.
(ominous music)
(telephone ringing)
You sure you wanna do this?
- You're kidding, right?
- No, I'm not.
- You don't think I can do this.
- I know you can handle it.
It's just, I don't think- - What are you so afraid of.
Look, what happened to Mom was awful, okay?
I'm not gonna let that stop me.
People need the Bible, and I'm gonna get it to them.
- I really don't think you've thought through the risks.
- Are you questioning everyone else like this?
- Everyone else is not my daughter.
- You know, you keep asking me
whether or not I wanna do this.
Maybe you're the one that needs to answer that question.
(somber music)
(wheels rattling)
- Hey.
What's going on?
- Um...
I'm going to my mom's, and I'm taking Austin.
- Look, if this is about my job at the garage-
- It's not about your job. It's not.
I'm tired.
I'm tired of this.
Austin!
Come on!
- Danelle.
Please.
Hey, its okay.
It's all right.
- That's enough.
- Let's go. - All right. Time to go.
(jacket rips)
- [Jim] I'm telling you, it'll work.
It'll be lightweight, easy to maneuver.
- Do we have enough time?
- Yeah. I'll get Ashley to do it.
- Can she do it?
- Yeah. Yeah, she can.
- Guess we go with it. Trust God to protect his Word.
- Just don't tell the others.
- Why not?
- After what happened to Pete,
the less they know, the safer they are.
I'll let 'em know once we go dark.
- Thank you, Jim.
I couldn't have done this without you.
You're, uh, definitely living up to your reputation.
- My father was a Bible translator back in the '70s.
He used to translate the Bible for people in India.
He would spend hours on one word.
(Nate chuckles)
He wanted to make sure that translation was perfect.
It's his passion.
I think that's why I became a pastor.
It's not even that I wanted to, I just...
I wanted to feel the way he did.
My wife was a lot like him. Knew the Word inside and out.
She would give her testimony to anyone who would listen.
She used to say it helps her remember where she came from,
and who brought her out of it.
Back in Springfield, she started collecting old Bibles.
I mean hundreds of 'em.
I didn't get it at first.
And then the government-added diversions came.
It's like she knew it was coming.
We didn't know how fast.
And once they were enforced, we were a threat.
She knew her mission
was to get those Bibles in people's hands.
- I don't think I ever got that passion.
(somber music)
I just wanted to be with her,
protect her.
And one day,
we were prepping for delivery,
and they must've tracked us.
We ran and, um,
I told her to follow me.
She was shot.
She died in my arms.
The last thing she said to me was, "Remember."
And now Ashley's involved.
I don't know that I can protect her.
(traffic droning)
- What is the delay, Mr. Tynan?
We've been watching them now for almost two weeks.
- [Tynan] As best we can surmise,
they don't actually have Bibles on the premises, sir.
- As best you can surmise? That isn't good enough.
- Sir, without breaking the law-
- I am the law!
(ominous music)
With all of these tools at your fingertips,
and the best you can do is surmise?
You get me something, anything.
The Apostle will not slip away again.
- Yes, sir.
- Go.
(radio chattering)
(computer chimes)
- [Jim] Keep your head down.
- Wait!
(gunshot bangs) - No!
(somber music) (thunder cracking)
(Emily gasping)
- Just breathe.
Breathe.
- Remember.
(somber music continues)
(suspenseful music) (Jim panting)
(switch clicks)
(door squeaks)
(pensive music)
Remember.
(music swelling)
(dramatic music)
- And it can be challenging
to find your way in a world of turmoil.
It can be difficult to walk in confidence
in where you're going to spend eternity.
But I'm reminded of the words of our Lord in John 3.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son,
that all will have eternal life.
For God did not send his son into the world
to condemn the world.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned.
But those who do not believe
have not yet been brought to the light.
For God will bring them to the light of his love,
for all carry within them the light of God's love."
Amen.
- [Man] Mr. Smith.
(dramatic music)
(JJ grunting)
(footsteps tapping)
(Jake sighs)
- Maybe we should rethink this whole thing.
- They're just doing this to scare us.
- It worked.
- Well, we all knew what we were getting into.
- That's so easy for you to say.
By the way, how is your face doing?
- What are you saying? I'm not taking a risk here too?
- Nobody's saying that. - Well, sure sounds like it.
- The stakes just got higher.
- Come on, Jake.
We can carry a stack of Bibles
across the state line to Illinois and no will catch us.
- Of course you would say that.
- And what's that supposed to mean?
- Look at you, man. You're huge.
These people can get their Bibles from someone else.
- Who else is gonna do it? - I don't care.
But it doesn't need to be us.
I don't want to get shot at again.
- Ashley's right.
- If not us,
then who?
- Sure, fine, side with your girlfriend.
- I'm not his girlfriend.
- No one does what we do.
That's why we were asked to do this.
But if you don't agree,
then maybe you do need to get outta here.
- This was cool at the beginning.
I'll tell you something: this isn't what I signed up for.
- What did you sign up for?
(gentle music)
What'd you all sign up for?
You think this was gonna be a grand adventure?
Ride into town like heroes? Save the day?
Or were you just afraid of losing something?
Or someone?
It wasn't yours to control.
None of it was.
- These, uh, churches, these codenames you've been given,
these are real places, real people, just like you,
given the Apostle John through Revelation.
And each of these churches needed to hear a word
directly from the heart of God.
One had bought into lies and false teaching.
Another was lukewarm.
But one needed to remember
where they had fallen,
and repent.
You were bought with a price.
"For God so loved the world
that he gave his only begotten son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish,
but have everlasting life."
Jesus said, "Whoever would lose his life for my sake
will find it."
And I can't think of a better reason
than being able to find life
by giving mine for the Word of God
and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I don't know your reasons for being here, but that's mine.
- Same.
Guys, these people need the Word of God.
(dramatic music)
- I'm in.
- Me too.
- All right. We meet here Friday.
(radio chattering)
(radio buzzes)
(radio chattering)
- [Computer] Incoming associate
(ominous music)
- [Officer] 78-25, Code 6. 105 North Avenue 52.
- [Computer] Scanning.
Retina scanning complete.
- Welcome
- [Computer] The Apostle. Known associates.
- [Hazzard] So?
- We go dark tomorrow.
- Dark?
- No phones, no internet, no GPS. Completely off the grid.
We make the drop late Friday night within a two-hour window.
- And are there any new members in your group?
- No. No, just the seven of us.
- Locations?
(JJ sighs)
- It's gonna be okay.
We do this together.
- [JJ] Don't know exactly where we're going. Not yet.
I won't know that till Friday night.
These are my best approximations.
- [Hazzard] And the means of transportation?
- I told you I don't know, okay?
(ominous music)
- But you will still be traveling with Mr. Edwards, correct?
- Yeah.
- Good.
You will lead us right to The Apostle.
- My- my brother will be with us.
He'll be safe, right?
- Well, that is the agreement.
As long as you deliver me Mr. Edwards,
and no one gets in our way,
then yes, you will all be safe.
- The money?
- It'll be delivered into your account by Monday morning.
Lawson, run this list of our Disciples' locations.
- Disciples?
- Oh yes. That's the name we've given for your little group.
Clever, isn't it?
- [Computer] New linkages established.
Terrorist status updated.
(clock chiming)
- What are you doing up?
- Just couldn't sleep.
- Nervous?
- Hmm.
Your mother would be so proud of you.
I'm so sorry, Ashley.
I haven't been the father you needed.
Your mother,
she was an amazing woman.
- Yeah.
- Do you blame me?
- No.
And you wanna know that now?
- Yeah, I do. I need to know.
- No.
But I did.
Dad, I was so mad at you.
At her.
You know, I was really mad at God.
I just missed her so much, you know?
(sobs) Sorry.
But I don't blame you.
- You're so much like her. You don't even realize.
(melancholy music)
(Ashley sniffles)
- Big day tomorrow.
- [Jim] Yeah.
(melancholy music continues)
(melancholy music continues)
- Night, Dad.
(foreboding music)
(pensive music)
- [Danelle] What do you want?
- Can we talk?
It'll only take a minute. I really wanna work things out.
I'm going fishing this weekend.
- Is it with Nate?
Unbe- unbelievable!
- Hey, wait, wait.
Come on.
- Jake, how is this- this working things out?
- This is the last time.
I promise.
- You know, why don't you, uh, figure yourself out,
and then maybe we can talk?
I hope you catch a lot of fish.
(pensive music continues)
(pensive music continues)
(pensive music continues)
- What?
- I don't know what to say, babe.
- I'm gonna be home in the morning.
It's gonna be okay.
- Will it?
- Sweetheart.
We have gone through every conceivable scenario.
I'm confident in the details that we've worked on.
I'm confident in my team.
- It's not your team that I'm worried about.
I'm worried about you.
- Don't.
- I'm sorry. - Don't do this now. Come on.
I need to know that you have my back on this.
I can't do this without you.
- And I can't do this without you!
Look, I'm sorry. (sobs)
I have tried to be strong,
and I'm not trying to make this about me.
And look, I believe in you. I believe in this mission.
But Nate, what if you don't come back?
- What am I gonna do?
- Baby, I don't know what's gonna happen. I don't.
And I'm scared too, okay? I'm terrified.
But I have every reason to come home to you.
Because this,
baby, this is you and me.
Okay?
(rousing melancholy music)
(Rachel sobbing)
(Rachel sniffles)
- You come back to me, okay?
- I love you. - I love you.
(pensive music)
(timer beeping)
- Here we go.
I've received final instructions from The Apostle.
We each have a two-hour window between 10:00 PM and midnight
to meet our contact and make the drop.
If we do not make the drop by midnight,
our contact will leave.
It's a hard cutoff.
They're risking a lot, so let's not keep 'em waiting.
Jim?
- Ty, Sardis is here.
You'll take the I-70,
cross through Terre Haute, cross the border.
You'll meet your contact at the first rest stop you find.
- Got it. - Jake, Smyrna is here.
You cross near Vincennes.
You'll meet your contact at the public park in Bridgeport.
- And how will we know who they are?
- Well, the park's closed at night,
so it shouldn't be a problem.
But just to be safe, you use the codename Smyrna.
Ty, use Sardis.
- Good.
- Ashley, Thyatira is here.
Cody, Philadelphia is here.
You'll have the cover of the Hoosier National Forest,
So you should be okay.
These churches are close to each other,
so you should be able to work together.
And last, we've got Ohio.
Nate, Pergamum is here. JJ, Laodicea.
- What about you?
- Where is Ephesus?
(ominous music)
- Are you kidding me?
- I have some unfinished business.
You all know what you're doing.
God bless you guys.
- Can we, uh, pray about this before we leave?
- Yeah, I think we should.
- I'll do it.
(dramatic music)
Lord,
We know that if two or three are gathered in your name,
you are there with them,
and we know you are here with us.
We know that there are believers scattered
in hiding throughout our country.
We know you were there with them also.
We don't know what awaits us out there,
but we go in your name, and we ask that you go with us.
We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed.
Of those who have faith and preserve our souls.
We ask that you help us hold fast
to the confession of our hope,
because you're faithful.
We do this tonight for the Word of God
and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
- Amen.
(gentle music)
(gentle music continues)
(gentle music continues)
(dramatic music)
(crickets chirping)
(engine revving) (dramatic music)
(dramatic music continues)
- Turn off right up here.
- Okay.
- What's going on?
- Got a car waiting for me.
You two are gonna cross at Richmond.
I'm going in a different direction.
- Are you serious?
(foreboding music)
- Is that a problem?
- I just thought we were gonna go together
and then make the drops.
- It'll be all right.
- Is something wrong, JJ?
- No.
(coughing)
(dramatic music)
- Austin?
What are you doing here?
- I heard you talking to Mom.
I didn't think it'd be any big deal
if you're only gonna be gone for the weekend.
- Mom is probably worried sick.
- Well, are you gonna take me back?
- No.
No, it's too late for that.
- You be careful.
- You too.
(crickets chirping)
(door slams)
- Kim, is Austin over there with Danny? I can't find him.
Okay. Well, just send him home if you see him.
Thanks.
(line ringing)
- [Voicemail] Hey, this is Jake. Leave a message.
- [Computer] Police radio transmissions in queue.
Execute when ready.
- [Dispatcher] All units, be on the lookout for two men
who are believed to be smuggling illegal religious materials
into the state of Illinois.
Tyler McCully, African American, 43 years old, 6'8" tall.
He is an over-the-road truck driver.
Jake Thornton is a white male, 35 years old, 5'9" tall.
He was last seen driving a black Impala station wagon.
- Unit 755 requesting assistance.
Bring out the canine unit.
- "The Lord is my light and salvation. Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid?"
- They are being labeled as The Disciples,
and are right here in Central Indiana.
Homeland Security says if you spot one of these Disciples,
do not attempt to apprehend them.
They are believed- - No!
- to be crossing into neighboring states.
Once again, in case you've just joined us...
- Oh, God, please, no!
(Rachel sobbing)
"When the wicked advance against me,
it is my enemies
and my foes who will stumble- - They are believed
to be armed and extremely dangerous.
(somber music)
(Danelle panting)
- No.
- Jake!
Austin!
Jake!
Austin!
(cellphone beeping)
- [Operator] 911. What's your emergency?
- Yes, uh, my son, my son's been kidnapped.
His father.
Jake Thornton.
(pensive music)
- I miss you.
- So do I.
- Look, I,
I owe you an apology.
I've made a lot of mistakes,
and I can't change what I've done, but I'm gonna be better.
(footsteps rustling)
(drone whirring)
(drone whirring)
(footsteps rustling)
(dog barking) - Hey, hey, hey. Shh.
Did you hear that? (dogs barking)
They're coming for us. Go, go, go, go, go!
(dramatic music)
(dogs barking)
(dramatic music continues)
(drone whirring)
(dramatic music continues)
(engine starting)
(radio chattering)
- Now what?
- Follow me.
- [Newsreader] We have breaking news from Chicago.
Here is the Illinois Attorney General, William Curry.
- [William] We have concluded our investigation of the cause
of the derailment of commuter train 116.
The driver of the truck was found
with several unrevised Bibles in the cab.
We do believe the collision was deliberate,
We also received word tonight from Homeland Security
that a group of Christians known as Disciples are attempting
to smuggle Bibles out of Indiana into neighboring states.
- Drat.
- Just relax. Be cool.
- Roll down your window.
Roll down your back one too.
- [William] If we do spot one of these Disciples,
you can contact your local authorities immediately.
We believe they could have been connected to the catastrophe
of commuter train 116.
They're believed to be extremely dangerous,
so please do not attempt to apprehend them.
The Illinois State Police will be searching for them.
- No, no, no. Lord, Lord, Lord, no, no, no, no, no.
This can't happen.
- Clear!
Forward! Next truck!
Let's go!
(truck hissing)
- Lord, please.
Please protect your Word, Lord.
(officers chattering)
- You okay?
- Yeah.
- Oh. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!
- Hey, what are you doing? Stop!
We need to get to Kentucky somehow.
You wanna get eaten by the dogs?
(computer beeping)
- [Computer] Scan complete.
No electronic contraband.
Code 122.
- Let 'em through!
(engine revving)
- Here we go.
Suspect sighted.
Stand by for further instructions.
(ominous music)
- Lord, please, please, please, please, please.
Protect your Word, Lord, please.
Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord,
please, please protect your Word.
(horn honking)
(officers shouting)
- Go, go, go!
- Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you, Lord, thank you!
Thank you, Lord.
Praise the Lord. What just happened just now?
- He's going to Kentucky.
How about it?
(ominous music)
(doorbell dings) (TV blaring)
- [Clerk] Hey, man.
(traffic droning)
(ominous music)
- [Dispatcher] A-211 and 675 Main. Backup needed.
- [Officer] Car 36 responding.
(car door slams)
(doorbell dings) - Can you just grab
that for me?
- [Clerk] Ah, hey, man.
(ominous music)
- [Dispatcher] 326, 746, come in.
- [Officer] Okay, go.
- [Dispatcher] 746, we have a report of a Disciple sighting
at the Dairy Q west of Dayton.
It's possibly another prank call,
but if you're near the area, please check it out.
- [Officer] We're close to there now.
(doorbell dings)
- Oh, oh! Sorry, sir.
(doorbell dings)
(radio chattering)
(radio chattering)
(ominous music)
(radio chattering)
(tense music)
(engine revving)
(engine revving)
- Dad, what's going on?
(tires screeching)
- [Jake] Sit back a little bit there for me, bud.
(engine revving) (tires screeching)
- Say, you two, okay?
- Yeah, yeah, great. Just, uh, going for a hike.
(ominous music)
I got a little turned around, actually.
Thanks for, uh, picking this up.
I'm trying to get to a campground out in Kentucky.
- Name's Donny.
Most people don't pick up hitchhikers anymore.
(chuckles) Too many horror stories, you know.
Say, did you hear about them Christians?
- Oh, what Christians?
Well, it seems there's these seven Christians outta Indiana.
Disciples, they're called.
They've been trying to smuggle Bibles outta the state.
It's all over the news.
- Yeah. I haven't heard much news lately, actually.
- Yeah. Well, of course you ain't.
But why would you need to if you're the ones being chased?
Now, look, I may be from Kentucky, but I ain't stupid.
I know who you are.
(dramatic music)
(tires screeching)
(eerie music)
(engine starting)
(tense music)
(engine starting)
(dramatic music)
(dramatic music continues)
(car door slams) (engine starting)
- This is Officer Macleod. I have spotted a Disciple.
Will proceed with caution.
(engine rumbling)
- No, this is too exposed.
(engine revving)
(tense music)
(engine rumbling)
- Uh, here. You put this on you. You don't say a word.
Evening, officer.
Evening. Where you folks coming from?
- Just took my cousin to Indiana, over to that free clinic,
you know, over there in Tell City.
Her momma'd kill her if she found out she was pregnant.
Made sure the daddy came along too.
- [Officer] Everything all right, ma'am?
- Well, he's- he's gonna get a job. Ain't you, boy?
You know, 'cause I ain't taking care of him.
That's for dang sure.
(brooding music)
- All right. Have a good evening.
Let 'em on through.
(engine rumbling)
(pensive music)
- Hey.
Wait right here. I'll be right back.
(engine rumbling)
- Well, here we are. Make sure you got everything.
(gentle music)
Now, I don't like what's been happening in this country,
and I support what y'all are doing.
Now, y'all be safe now.
- Thank you. - Thanks.
- Let's go.
- Wait, I look pregnant?
(tense music)
(door slams)
(announcer chattering)
(upbeat music)

* So let's all go to the lobby
* To get ourselves a treat - Let's get out of here.
* Let's all go to the lobby
(suspenseful music)
- Looking for something?
- Guess it depends who's asking.
- Well, I don't think the owner of this theater
wants anyone snooping around here.
- We're looking for somebody.
From Philadelphia.
(eerie music)
- Follow me.
- [Announcer] For your convenience,
we shall keep you informed
of the remaining intermission time. (indistinct)
(eerie music)
(engine rumbling)
(doors slamming)
(crickets chirping)
- All right.
Be back here as soon as possible.
- Nate.

- There's something I gotta tell you.
Oh no. (foreboding music)
- Here we go. - No, Nate, run.

- Well, it looks like we needed one.
- Nice thinking.
We're smuggling bibles. We're not drug mules.
- Surrender yourselves!
Where's Mr. Edwards?
Well, you said he'd be with you, Mr. Smith.
(JJ sighs)
(clock beeping)

- [Cora] Oh, that boy's gonna break his momma's heart.
(dramatic music)

- Yep.
You leaving?
Cora's almost finished making some cookies.
- Oh.
Thanks for your, uh, hospitality.
I think we'll get going, though.
- Hold it, boy. (dramatic music)
There's a price on your head,
but I get more by bringing in more of you,
so you're gonna lead me to whoever it is
that you're meeting.
Your pretty friend here, she's gonna stay with Cora.
If I don't come back, Cora's gonna shoot her. Understand?
(engine rumbling) (tense music)
- Suspect has entered Summer Meadows Retirement Home.
- We just want you, not your boy.
- No!
- Hey. - I'm staying with my dad!
- Easy. Hey, look, take this.
I don't want you to freeze, okay?
- Dad, no, I'm not going.
- Yes.
You gotta go, buddy, okay?
It'll only be for a little bit.
We'll see each other real soon.
- When? - Soon. Don't worry.
Look, they're gonna take you see your mom, okay?
Well, you gotta go, all right?
Yes.
Hey.
Don't be afraid.
It'll be fine.
Have faith, okay?
- I love you, Dad.
- Oh.
I love you too.

- I didn't. I didn't.
- Shut up!
My wife was on that train derailed by you Disciples.
- Don't- don't do this.
- So you're on his side? - No.
Can't we just take him in? - He has to be stopped.
We have to stop them from spreading these Bibles.
- You can't contain the Word of God.
- If you Disciples follow this Word of God
that makes you do these types of...
How do you defend that?
How can you talk about love?
Is that who you are?
Are you a Disciple of Jesus Christ?
- For everything
that I am not,
I am that.
(ominous music)

- You sold us out. - I did it for us.
I did it to protect you. To protect us, okay?
Look, this job was doomed from the beginning.
No!
We are never gonna get those Bibles to these people.
- How do you know that? - Look around you.
I guarantee your safety.
- You call this safe.
- Smoke 'em out.
- How could you?
- Nate.
(dramatic music) (smoke grenade hissing)
What do we do? - We can't stay here.
No, no, no. This way, this way!

- Yeah. He'd want you to have it.
- Oh, Jimmy.
Your father would be so proud of the work you're doing.
- I wish I could stay, Mom, but, uh...
- I understand.
Bye, my son.
Emily would be so proud of you too, son.
She'd be proud that you didn't stop the fight.
That night wasn't your fault.
You shouldn't blame yourself.
- I love you, Mom.
- I love you too, son.
(melancholy music continues)

How about some chips?
(Ty sighs)

Wait too long, I may not even make it to Sardis by midnight.
(pensive music continues)

My name's Tabitha.
Are you hungry?
Thirsty?
Your dad give you that jacket, right?
Can I see it?
Oh, it's okay. I'll give it back, I promise.
(brooding music)

Would you mind?
(tires screeching)
(dramatic music continues)

Some guy gave me $200 and told me to drive away.
I've never seen him before.

- Yeah. I'll get Ashley to do it.
- [Nate] Can she do it?
- [Jim] Yeah. Yeah, she can do it.
- [Ashley] Hey, Dad, there's a sales rep here to see you.
- How am I gonna make any money printing invisible ink?
(rousing music)
(sewing machine clacking)
(rousing music continues)
(flashlight clicks)
- It'll be our little secret.
(flashlight clicks)
I think your mom's here.

Are you okay?
Where's your father?

Where is he?
(Austin sobbing)
It's gonna be okay.
- The search continues for four of the seven smugglers
known as The Disciples.
Three of the seven are dead,
but the other four remain at large.
Joining us now to comment on the search is Homeland Security
Director of Field Operations Anderson Hazzard
Agent Hazzard, what assurances
can you give our viewers that they are safe
with these four remaining criminals still at large?
- We will find the remaining Disciples.
Our team moves swiftly to prevent these people
from spreading their message of hate.
(knocking at door) It is imperative
that if you see, note, or identify any of these misfits,
that you contact the authorities immediately.
- [Newsreader] I know many of our viewers
here in the Hoosier state are scared.
The fact that these criminals emerged from Indiana
and were able to cause so much chaos
have many people asking the question, are there more?
(ominous music)
(lock clacks)
(door creaking)
(birds twittering)
(gentle music)
- Oh! - Hey.
Careful.
- Are you okay?
- Yeah.
- Oh. (laughs)

- [Camera] Recording initiated.
- I can't tell you where I am right now.
It's too dangerous.
They're hunting us, and they're getting closer every day.
So
this is probably gonna be my last contact for a while.
(ominous music)
Destroy this message as soon as it's finished.
Even knowing a Christian
can get you thrown in jail, or worse.
(pensive music)
- Almost ready. I'll be home soon.
I love you. - I love you too.
(doorbell rings)
Emily.
Hey.
Hey.
No. What did I say about opening the door to strangers?
(rousing music)
- May I come in?
- A lot has happened these last eight years.
But I haven't stopped.
I won't stop.
No matter what they do to me, I won't stop.
You remember that night?
- I do.
Everything changed.
It haunts me.
Mom,
every night when I close my eyes,
I can still hear the gunshot.
I can still see Dad's face.
I can still see what it cost him.
I never knew what it really meant
to be a true Disciple of Christ until that night.
But I will continue the legacy that Dad and Jim
and Nate and the others began that night.
- Austin.
We gotta go.
People are waiting.
- Don't worry about me.
I'm safe.
Because no matter what happens,
I'm doing this for the Word of God
and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
My times are in his hands.
I'll see you soon, Mom.
I love you.
(Danelle sobbing)
(pensive music)
(pensive music continues)
(gentle music)
* Hear the alarm's sound
* They're gonna try to take me down *
* Flames going up now
* It's time, it's time
* Know, I got the strength, but I gotta find it *
* Should I stay or go
* I feel so divided
* Out of hiding, bullets flying *
* Yeah, I'm fighting
* I decided * Not gonna change who I am
* Just because you wanna force me *
* To fake being something I'm not *
* Way this society's headed is real Armageddon *
* I'm in the world with the threat of being shot *
* Hated for what I believe in
* But I'm not gonna turn my back on the only one I got *
* Even if that means going to prison *
* And risk being fingerprinted by the cops *
* So put us in chains
* Cut through the artery veins
* His death will not be in vain *
* If I'm retained, never will I be the same *
* Glory is worth all the pain
* 'Cause everything I'm not, I am this *
* I know we're gonna be good here, 'cause I am his *
* No matter what the lie says with a violent twist *
* Never wave the white flag when the sirens hit *
* Hey
* I'm gonna fight for it
* Hey
* Give up my life for it
* I'd rather live like this and let them hate me *
* Than to shut my mouth and praise me *
* Hey
* Can you hear the silence
* Hey
* Voices in the silence
* Hey
* Fear inside me dying
* Spirit in me rising
* Can you hear the sirens
* Hey
* Can you hear the sirens
* Hey
* Voices in the silence
* Hey
* Fear inside me dying
* Spirit in me rising
* Can you hear the sirens
