It's the day we celebrate the laying

of the first foundation stone.

It's a time for thanksgiving,

a time for families to
appreciate their blessings,

to be together, and to, well,
bury past grievances, perhaps.

- That is if the grievances
are worth burying.

Sometimes it's best just to get on

with the life you've made for yourself,

and not be dragged back in the past.

- Well we can't change the past,

but you can the present, and the future.

I've taken the opportunity

of outlining a few essential points.

Obviously starting with a warm
welcome for the dignitaries,

thanking them for their
travel, and their time.

- And then, perhaps, a
brief history of the town,

outlining its place in the
rich, illustrious tapestry

of life in the High Country.
