Right now we're going to meet a sergeant from Youngtown PD. He has a warrant for

a suspect by the name of Gilbert who's accused of raping a 14 -year -old girl.

Serving warrants is one of the most dangerous things you can ever do because

never know who's going to come out or how they're going to come out.

These guys are going to try to side you up. They're going to try to intimidate

you in any way possible.

That's why training for us is everything.

You can never train enough in firearm and hand -to -hand. You can never train

enough.

He makes a move. We will lock him up before he can blink his eye.

So this is our guy Gilbert.

About three or four months ago, we did a warrant on this guy's associates. They

got on MySpace and found this 14 -year -old runaway from Phoenix, took her to a

strip mall, and allegedly had consensual sex. She's saying different.

So we go serve a search warrant on his buddy's house to collect DNA evidence.

Gilbert shows up to the house, running his mouth, theftist, theft dad, theft

police, and we went to grab onto him. He ran down the street.

Well, his buddy's sitting in jail right now, and we got from the lab today two

different types of semen.

One of them is the guy that we have in custody, and we're thinking the other

belongs to this guy.

So we got a search warrant for this guy's body to collect biological DNA and

blood and all that.

He's a real anti -Belizean.

When he was there, he made a threat towards me. What did he say?

That he carries a gun and he's going to shoot me.

Let's get Joaquin and Mike going.

Well, in my opinion, if you have good hand -to -hand skills, it may help you

able to neutralize an individual without letting him or yourself resort to

weapons.

One of the things that I like to tell everybody is that anytime somebody wants

to grab you, there's two ways you can look at it. You can stand here like this

and duke it out with them, or you can go to the side.

The idea is to be able to move off that line of force.

From here, you've got something where you can easily, you know, now he can

be cuffed very, very easily.

And if I have to, I can even hold him like this so I still have my hands free

for someone else.

And the control holds that you're using, is it more you using your strength or
