the financial story of a lifetime for

you. You're talking about Wall Street
here, right? Yeah, I'm talking about

Street. I'm talking about the people
that have got this country in so much

trouble. What's going on in Wall Street
between the Fed, the Treasury, our

government, and the big Wall Street
firms, the big banks, is causing serious

problems in America, and this has to be
addressed.

It's continuing.

All they're doing is papering over
things.

It's the same people in power. The same
things are going on. The big banks in

New York and the U .S. government are
hurting the little guy in America.

Goldman Sachs was everywhere when it
came to manipulation of the market.

Bill Murphy represents a group called
the Gold Antitrust Action Committee.

He saw trouble before anyone else.

He raised the alarm big time in the
media and in Washington.

But no one listened.

We put an ad, a $264 ,000 ad in the Wall
Street Journal. We warned of coming as

of January 31st, 2008. We warned of
coming catastrophe and disaster, and

exactly what happened.

Bill Murphy also testified in Washington
in front of the Commodities Futures

Trading Commission.

Bill Murphy's testimony should have made
big news, but it didn't get any play.

Notice how he's rushing through his
statement.

That's because the commission was
cutting him off in more ways than one.

I realized I had to make like the
Roadrunner and read this thing fast so

whole thing could be heard to get all
the information we wanted out there. It

was televised. But when I gave my
testimony, the television feed went out.

soon as I was done, the television feed
came back on. So literally everything

you said was censored. Was censored.

But Bill Murphy had one more surprise up
his sleeve at that hearing. Without any

advance warning, he told about a trader
who had evidence the big banks were

manipulating the markets.

Mr. McGuire has been told firsthand by
traders working for JPMorgan Chase that

JPM manipulates the precious metals
markets and they brag how they make

Who was Andrew McGuire? Andrew McGuire
was a former Goldman Sachs trader in

London. They wouldn't let him testify.

So he sent me the information, and I
made this surprise presentation, and

weren't ready for it. So we could
classify Andrew McGuire a whistleblower.

wife were hit by a car.

and they got bailed out. Well, when us

as little guys take big risks and we
lose, we go bankrupt.

If Bill Murphy's right, these guys on
Wall Street are still up to their old

Look, people, I talked to this guy named
Bill Murphy.

He's a Wall Street insider, has worked
there for years, and he told me that

because they got their bets covered on
each side. At some point, you got to go,

this is a rigged game.

Was there criminal activity involved?

There was enormous criminal activity.
Indeed, the crisis was brought on by

criminal activity.

Nothing was done even when the

called what it was doing, selling liar's
loans.

So what is a liar's loan?

A liar's loan.

Nice name for mortgages given to people
the banks know won't be able to make the

payments. So why would they want to do
that?

A liar's loan is where the loan broker
creates information. What's your income?

What's your job? What's your assets are?

And I, the lender, agree to believe
whatever you tell me and not look.

Were people encouraged to lie in terms
of the loans?

Yes, and indeed, most of the lying
wasn't by the individual borrower. It

the loan brokers.

Of course, it destroys the institution,
but they walk away rich.

There it is again.

They work both sides of the game.

It was a Ponzi scheme.

The bucks kept rolling in as long as
they kept selling those bad loans.

They won either way.

And there's no greater example of that
than the guys at Goldman Sachs.

Or as Daniel was finding out, the gals.

Nomi Prins is a Wall Street veteran. She
used to be a managing director at

Goldman Sachs.

Now, she's known as a whistleblower.

How tight is the relationship between
Goldman Sachs and the federal

There are more higher level officials
that have come through Washington and

Goldman Sachs than from any other firm.
That's why the idea of Goldman being

called government Sachs isn't so much a
conspiracy as a fact.

Government Sachs, the unholy alliance
between these corporate lowlifes and the

people we vote for.

This is where the conspiracy really
starts to get underused.

Why have they been called Goldman Sachs?

Goldman Sachs is called that because
whether it's a Republican or a

administration, if you look around,
there's an amazing number of senior

that have come from the Goldman Sachs
background.

And because they seem to act in a way
that is very good for Goldman Sachs and

not very good for the country.

In fact, Paulson, who became the
Treasury Secretary under George Bush, he

to run Goldman. Goldman was his empire,
effectively.

So now he goes and he's running the
Treasury Department. And he gets to take

friendships, his philosophies, his
relationships into that office.

And loyalty is very key on Washington.
That extends once they get to

And then they were betting against their

Why would they do this?

For example, Hank Paulson gets Goldman
Sachs very heavily into purchasing

these terrible mortgages. The people at
Goldman look at these loans and they

say, these are really terrible. So they
start selling these.

And what we call shorting, which is
betting that they're going to drop in

They sell them before the drop.

And they suffer either virtually no loss
or maybe even a small profit.

So really it was a house of cards.

Oh, a house of cards doesn't begin to
capture how flimsy this.

A house of cards can actually last for a
fairly long time. This was guaranteed

to fail. The only issue was when.

And it was guaranteed to produce massive
fictional income at first and make the

CEOs and senior officers rich.

They were making money even when they
knew the ship was sinking. And they were

using the ship owner's money to do it.

Nomi Prins made that really clear and
really ominous. She talked about a

in June 2008.

Treasury Secretary Paulson meeting his
old pals on the Goldman Sachs board in

the middle of the financial crisis.

Even though he'd signed an ethics
agreement not to contact them.

The meeting took place in Moscow,
Russia.

So basically the country's burning.

And Paulson goes to Moscow to sell
gasoline.

Basically, he went to Moscow and he
wanted to convince people there to

to buy stuff that was created out of our
mortgages to keep it going for the

finance people.

It was a secret meeting.

Paulson and his big bank buddies.

A few months later, Goldman got its
status changed to holding company.

It went from oversight by the Securities
and Exchange Commission to the Federal

Reserve. The New York Fed Board was full
of Goldman Sachs alum.

The chairman, Tim Geithner, became
Obama's Treasury Secretary.

He'd helped direct the bailout that gave
close to $13 billion to, you guessed

it, Goldman Sachs.

They're loyal to money and to the
company. And to power.

Hundreds of CEOs should be convicted,
and that hasn't happened. Because the

way to prosecute elite white -collar
criminals, it's very tough, is to have

regulators serve as your sherpa, your
guide. None of that happens anymore.

This question of accountability doesn't
end with Washington.

Daniel saw it standing right in front of
him, wearing a dress.

All of these guys who have done really
just horrible things are in their homes

right now or in their fancy cars sitting
on giant piles of cash.

There are hundreds of millions of
dollars of money that they have been

on. Do you think these guys should be in
prison?

I think some of them should be in
prison.

You were with... Lehman Brothers.

Yes. And you were with Goldman.

Yes. And you were with Bear Stearns.
Yes.

Stationed in a powerful position.

I was, and I did the battle. You're
there in the room, and you know that

f***ing us all.

It feels like something I have to escape
from. I was a part of it, and I felt I

needed to get out, and more than that, I
needed to tell people what was going on

inside.

predicted the exact date of the recent
crash based on the activities of a

secretive group called Legatus.

Legatus. They're a Catholic networking
organization composed of businessmen

around the world. The richest.

They're the richest. They're the most
influential. They advertise for

membership, but they have closed -door
meetings.

They've been compared to Opus Dei.

From the Da Vinci Code. Straight out of
the Da Vinci Code.

Opus Dei, the Catholic group was shadowy
and villainous in the Da Vinci Code. It

was started in 1928, the year before the
great stock market crash.

Legatus began in 2007, a year before the
crash predicted by the Internet seer.

According to this guy, Reinhart.

When Legatus members make pilgrimages to
Rome, they write huge donation checks

to the Vatican Bank. When checks from
all these Wall Street insiders clear on

the same date, that's when the media
reports on unorthodox accounting.

That's when stock fall, markets crash.

Did anybody prove this?

September 15, 2008 was the crash.

Months earlier, Reinhart had predicted
that very date, clearly seeing this as

one strand of a larger pattern.

Whether the Legatus theory is real or
not, it points back to the same club of

insiders.

Okay, there's one thing we haven't
talked about. The Federal Reserve Bank.

Here's the super bank that runs all of
our money.

The Federal Reserve Bank has done pretty
well so far. America's the richest

country in the world. You know who they
answer to?

Nobody. Not the president, not Congress,
not the people. They do whatever they

want.

Well, if it's the Fed, I know somebody,
but it's going to require me to take a

little detour before I get to Wall
Street.

That detour takes Jesse Ventura to
Washington, D .C., home of the Federal

Reserve, America's banking system.

The Fed was wrapped in conspiracy from
the start.

Created in 1913 by an elite group of
international bankers, meeting at a

called Jekyll Island.

It was set up to bring stability after a
financial panic.

A panic caused by those same bankers.

Many believe those bankers formed a
shadow government that thrives today.

We know the feds print our cash, then
loan it out at interest, which we pay in

taxes.

We know it influences interest rates and
manipulates the market.

We know it's been the source of just
about every major crash.

The Fed.

I might have known the shadow government
would be mixed up in this.

But there's one man in the other
government who's got them nailed.

Congressman Ron Paul from Texas.

What was the Fed's role in this current
financial collapse we went through?

Well, if I had to find one group or one
person responsible for the collapse, I

would put it at the feet of the Fed.
They inflated the currency.

Look at the housing bubble. The housing
bubble couldn't have happened if there

had not been money created in there
because where would the credit have come

from? So the Fed did as they created the
bubble.

Ron Paul was telling me exactly what
Bill Murphy had warned about.

It was the Federal Reserve behind this.
Interest rates have been kept too low

for the benefit of the Wall Street
bankers, and it's led to the financial

What control do you as a congressman or
does our government have over the

Federal Reserve?

In theory, they have some control if
they wanted to, but they relinquish

control, really. We have a dictator, and
he's the chairman.

So Bernanke is king.

Ben Bernanke, head of the Fed, a king
among us paupers, appointed by Bush,

retained by Obama, so much for being
separate.

He's king, he's the dictator, he's a
monetary dictator, and he, I imagine, he

thinks he's doing the Lord's work, but
he really isn't. He's kowtowing to the

big banks, big corporations, bails out
big government, and gets us all into

trouble. One of my biggest beefs in
Washington is that the Congress is

in their duties.

And this crisis we just went through, it
sort of proved our concerns.

Wall Street gets bailed out. Government
gets bailed out.

Corporations get bailed out.

Who gets stuck? A little guy lost his
house, and they don't get the bailout.

The banking, business, Wall Street
establishment are in charge of who

us at the Federal Reserve and who's at
Treasury.

It's the same group of people always end
up in those spots. And they all seem to

come out of Goldman's sack.

Does that Goldman mean they have the
gold? I don't know.

Ron Paul didn't mince words.

We've handed over our powers to this
elite group of bankers.

We bail them out. They give themselves
bonuses.

When Goldman Sachs and the other Wall
Street players lost, their bets were

covered by the government.

They got their money back.

But they didn't pay us back.

They spread it around as bonuses.

If you know that your mistakes are going
to be wiped out by a Federal Reserve

program or a taxpayer -funded bailout,
there's no downside, there's no risk. If

they make a mistake, we're going to pay
for it.

You have to walk pretty far from Wall
Street to find the Goldman Sachs

headquarters, the new Goldman Sachs
headquarters.

Around the same time the SEC charged the
company with mortgage fraud, Goldman

Sachs... moved into a new $2 .1 billion
building on New York Harbor.

You'd expect mobs outside picketing over
all those executive bonuses.

If they could find the place, $2 .1
billion, and they didn't even get a

What you're telling me was this was a
rape, a robbery of the United States

economy by a small group of individuals
on Wall Street. Not just Wall Street.

This goes to the highest levels of the
United States government. The

gatekeepers, the Congress, passing laws
that were intended to allow Wall Street

to rape and pillage.

Everything Ross Mandel was saying fell
right in line with what we learned from

the Wall Street players and the
Washington power brokers alike.

It's a conspiracy.

AIG, the largest insurance company in
the world, was a public company on the

York Stock Exchange. One morning, the
chairman and CEO of AIG got on national

television and said, we're in trouble.

We need $130 billion.

to stay open. And by the way, we need it
by Monday.

We need the money by Monday.

This is a company regulated by the Stock
Exchange, by the SEC, by Congress, by

all the insurance regulators.

The most regulated...

the largest insurance company on Earth.
That means to me all the numbers they've

been publishing were false.

Nobody went to jail. It gets worse. The
same week, Hank Paulson, Secretary of

the Treasury, former CEO of Goldman
Sachs, gets on television and says,

trouble. The country's in big trouble.

We need $650 billion.

And by the way, don't ask us where it's
going because we don't have time to

explain. Otherwise, everything's going
to collapse.

Okay.

AIG gets its $130 billion by Monday.
Nobody knows really where the money

There's no accountability.

Now, what I can tell you is the majority
of the money went to a company called

Goldman Sachs.

And there it is again, Goldman Sachs.
You see, Goldman Sachs...

Does a lot of trading with AIG.

And that's why the Secretary of the
Treasury made sure that AIG got their

So that that money could then be passed
to Goldman Sachs. 100 cents on the

dollar. This is a company that's facing
more than bankruptcy.

Total insolvency to the hundreds of
billions.

It's nice to have that insider in
government, isn't it? It would be

fact, Jesse, I'm about 60 billion short.
You think maybe, you know.

If the conspiracy isn't confusing
enough, it keeps expanding because the

situation draws in another group of
players. The companies that analyze

businesses and governments and give
advance warning that they're unstable.

Investors rely on these guys to give an
honest appraisal, not to be in cahoots.

They have what they call rating
agencies.

Moody's, Standard & Poor's. The
interesting thing is AIG's ratings.

on their paper, was A+. A +, while they
had to come and run and say, get

us $130 billion by Monday? By Monday!

You know, I don't know if anybody has a
problem with that, but if you come up a

little short, let's say to the $100
billion, you shouldn't have an A rating,

correct? It shows that they were in bed
with the Wall Street investment banks,

with Congress, with the White House, so
forth and so on.

It's one giant stamp.

And that's nothing.

Some experts say these rating agencies
are conspiring to downgrade the

government's credit rating.

To kill Social Security.

Privatize it. Give private bankers
trillions in retirement funds and

funds.

So that they can gamble that away too?

How do I answer when people say to me,
Ross is under indictment?

Governor Ventura, how can you believe a
man under indictment?

If you listen to the words that I speak
with an open mind, you're going

to hear the truth. An American knows the
truth in its gut, in its heart. And I

Well, if you're going to have one
company that all those people are going

Goldman Sachs is hunting for the best

people. None of the other firms would
have that type of quality person. A lot

Why would they all fall? Come on, man.

Let's put it into perspective.

Goldman Sachs would be like a premier
college football program. The NFL comes

and picks the brightest and pays them
the best. Yes, and I'll counter that by

saying, does the same college football
team win the national title every year?

No. In 2008, the worst year of the
financial crisis.

Right. The chairman of Goldman Sachs
makes forty two point nine million that

year. Yet Goldman as a company only paid
14 million in taxes. Guys, where do I

find your tax man? And how in the hell
do you keep internal revenue off your

back? If I filled out a tax return that
was anywhere close to being as obnoxious

as this is, internal revenue would have
my ass down there.

the next year he becomes the Secretary
of the Treasury.

My goodness, I guess he just felt it was

Hank Paulson during the AIG bailout is
on the telephone with Lloyd Blankfein

constantly, and Goldman Sachs ends up
with $13 billion to the AIG bill. You

don't think that's a conflict of

That's the U .S. government's fault. You
have to create laws to prevent this.

What you're telling me is that you have
no conscience and that it's up to us to

Securities and Exchange Commission

Goldman Sachs with fraud.

But before you knew it, Goldman settled
the case by peeling $550 million

off its bankroll.

That's what?

4 % of what they made in the last
quarter?

And they didn't even have to admit they
did anything wrong.

And they got $13 billion in the bailout.
Lucky for them, the head of the

Securities and Exchange Commission's
enforcement division is a former Goldman

Sachs executive.

Like we found out, no one on Wall Street
or in Washington is going to pay the

piper as long as the taxpayer is picking
up the tab.

Is there another crash coming?

I'll hope for the best.
