..the thieves tried to buy the town's silence...

But when detectives recognised the pair...

Right. I've gone through the CCTV from the heist.

In addition to CCTV footage

retrieved from the crime scene,

the detectives also examine Ishy Khatun's

mobile phone for evidence.

He's googled Carlo's Chip Shop, Angels of the North,

CCTV coverage of the heist.

Then he's started looking at beluga caviar.(LAUGHTER)

At the warehouse where the thieves divided the cash,

Ishy changed into his boiler suit, leaving his vest behind.

So we placed an item of Ishmael's clothing at the scene.

It doesn't place him in it, so he's got to come up with

some sort of explanation in interview for that.

However, when you mentioned there words DNA in an interview,

they panic, they start thinking,

"I don't know how to get out of this." They start making mistakes.

This will be interesting. When we give him the DNA,

let's wait and see what comes out of that.

But I guarantee he'll crumble. (TAPE BEEPS)

With Ryan in custody, Adara has discovered discrepancies

in his account of his trip to Glasgow.

He's saying he got the phone call from Ruff to go and pick up the car.

But when you look at his call history,

he hasn't used his phone on the 20th at all, his clean phone.

So what phone is he answering? He's answering the burner phone.

We've got him.

The detectives know that charged thief Helen Ruff

bought five SIM cards, one for each pair of thieves,

to use in a burner phone. So far, they've linked three SIM cards

to the suspects. Two remain unaccounted for.

So the day before the heist, when he's admitted in an interview,

he went to pick up the Volvo from Glasgow.

Yeah.His phone makes no cell sites, nothing.

His burner phone, however, is plotting on the way up to Glasgow

and the phone calls that he's admitting that he took in interview,

did not go to his personal phone because there was no activity,

they went to the burner phone in that time period,

he's still in Glasgow and makes multiple calls to one of the older

burners that we've already linked to Hellen Cole-Joyce.

Which means, on that day, he made or received

no less than 12 calls to telephones that we know have been linked

to the planning and preparation of the heist

the day before it happened. Yep.Explain that one.

The day Ryan travelled to Glasgow,

location data from one of the burner phones

matches Ryan's movements.

Ryan also used the same burner phone to make multiple calls to the phones

detectives have linked to thieves Helen Ruff and Hellen Cole-Joyce,

connecting him to the crime.

Come on, Mr Gray.

Get your shoes on.

Knowing Ryan has lied about his use of the burner phone,

the detective set a trap.

He's got one more chance to actually come clean and say,

what his involvement was. If he continues to say that he used

his own phone to make those calls in interview,

it puts him right in the heart of the conspiracy.

And he's a guilty party and I don't think you'd have any trouble

showing that at court. I agree. Totally agree.

But, perhaps more importantly than that,

not only does it contact Helen Ruff's burner phone,

there are five calls made to Hellen Cole-Joyce's burner phone.

And those five calls are all on the 20th,

at the time we know that burner phone was at the warehouse

in preparation and planning for the heist the following day.

The only person, on your own admission,

that that burner phone could have been with

is you.

Doesn't mean I've done anything wrong.

It means you are right in the middle of this,

up to your neck in the conspiracy.
