This is my dad's clothing company in the fashion district, and it's been my
place of employment since high school when I worked summers.
I continued working here during summers in college as well.
I didn't think it would turn into a full -time job for me, but when money got
tough for my father and he couldn't pay my tuition, I had to drop out of college
and come help out.
I've had to really learn the fashion business over the last few months, as
now doing everything from the secretary work to ordering the material.
With all of the layoffs and everything, my father has been having to do all of
the management and inventory work.
I know he is really stressed out with keeping the company afloat and wanting
get me back into college.
The clothing business is a jungle, and the economy has definitely hurt our
sales.
I can't wait any longer. I've got to get over to the bank and secure this line
of credit.
Dad, I've got it. Go to your banking. I'm fine.
I don't know how long it's going to take, and I've got a very important
potential client coming over.
So tell him to come when you get back.
He thought he would be here before lunch, but I guess he got tied up.
But he's definitely coming.
Is this that French guy you were talking about?
Yes. His name is Alec Bonaparte, and he's the main buyer for the largest
department store chain in the country.
And he's coming here to see everything.
I need this account.
We need this account.
If you want to go back to college and have money, we have to land this one.
So stay here and wait.
I can't.
Today's the final day to renew this line of credit.
And if they cut us off, we'll be dead before Fashion Week.
Well, you go handle that. And if Mr. Bonaparte comes before you get back,
show him around.
You sure?
Daddy, you've taught me everything there is to know about the garment industry.
I can handle this.
I'm a big girl now.
Thanks, baby.
Work your magic.
You got it.
Hello, I'm Alec Bonaparte of Gallery Pierre.
Hello, I'm Summer.
I'm here to see Mr. Powers.
Yes, that's my father. He's out in a moment, but I can give you a tour and
you our products until you return.
Sure. Lead the way.
Oh, my God. He is good looking.
Wow.
Okay. Get a hold of yourself.
Okay. Keep yourself together.
Don't blow it.
I gave him the grand tour, and I showed him all the new designs and the type of
products we were working with. And I explained to him how well they do for
other vendors.
Was he really flirting with me?
I think so.
Soon, we were getting off business talk, and I needed to close this deal for my
dad.
And for myself.
I need to complete my education.
So, how many lines can I put you down for?
Well, that depends.
What are you looking for?
Um, you tell me.
Um, 10 % across the board.
And free shipping.
In me?
What do you mean?
Oh yeah.
Oh
yeah.
It's okay.
bit some more.
Yeah.
My little pussy's gonna come all over your thick neck.
I went back to college the following semester to finish my bachelor's.
