Your Highness.

Someone sent this letter here.

It is addressed to you.

CHANGLE, I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM YOU SINCE WE LAST MET

I AM IN A SUBURBAN FARM. I HOPE TO MEET WITH YOU

CHANGRU

Who are you?

Li Changru.

It is indeed you.

So you're still alive.

I love him so much.

I would do anything for him.

But what do I get in return?

Only lies.

Lies.

Lies!

I'm sorry if I scared you.

You were supposed to be the happiest couple in the world.

But because of a Northern Liang fugitive...

Changle.

Don't you want to win back your husband's heart?

What's so funny?

All this time,

I've been doing so much

just to win his heart.

I've stained my hands

with blood.

Do you think I like killing people?

But for him, I did it without any hesitation.

I get woken up by nightmares every night.

All I want is for him to care about me.

What else should I do?

What else can I do?

Are you going to give up?

I'm not giving up.

I'm going to destroy him.

I can't have him.

I could never have him, anyway.

So I'll ruin him.

If I can't have him,

nobody can.

Do you want to harm Prince Gaoyang?

Why not?

He lied to me.

He used me.

He destroyed my dignity.

Should I

just be like you,

groveling before men and begging for pity?

Li Changru.

I despise you.

Look at you.

Just for a man,

your dignity has been shattered.

He abandoned you,

but you still want to have him.

Do you think

that will make him come back?

He'll never cherish you.

Because you are so lowly.

I am Li Changle.

I would never let myself be so lowly.

When I can't get something,

I destroy it.

If I can't have it, nobody can.

This is all the dignity I have left.

Your Highness.

What you just said to Lady Changru,

did you really mean it?

Did I look like I was joking?

But what else can you do now?

Please listen to my advice.

For the time being, be patient...

If you say one more word,

I'll have you killed right away.

When I set my mind to something,

I get it done.

Tuoba Jun.

Li Weiyoung.

None of you can get away with this.

Lady Changle looked so terrifying just now.

Young Lady.

Young Lady.

You don't have to take to heart what she said.

The Chiyun family has lost its power. What else can she do?

If she keeps behaving like this, she is going to get in trouble.

Maybe she is right.

I love his Highness too much.

I've made myself so lowly before him.

No matter what he does,

I never scold him or blame him.

He got my love too easily.

That's why he doesn't cherish it.

Maybe it's like what people say,

"Men are always infatuated with the things they can't get."

Li Weiyoung rarely even smiles at him.

But he can't forget her.

It's not that I don't understand.

It's just that I can't do it.

I can't bear to do it.

It's because I love him more than Li Weiyoung.

Your Highness.

You're very capable, aren't you?

Even when you're locked up here, you can still find Li Changle.

What are you trying to do?

No matter what I want to do,

I would never harm Your Highness.

I've loved you more than any other woman could in this world.

But you've never cherished me.

Li Changru.

Can you stop making yourself sound so great

in the name of love?

If you really were so great,

why would you keep hurting the woman I love?

The woman you love?

Your Highness, you don't understand love.

Love can't be shared.

Can you give Li Weiyoung and Tuoba Jun your blessing?

Of course not.

I'm not a good man.

I don't understand love.

I just know that when I want something,

I will definitely get it,

no matter what it takes.

Pack your lady's things.

What are you doing, Your Highness?

I won't give you another chance to contact anyone.

I risked contacting Li Changle

to help you, Your Highness.

Help me?

Unintentional actions bring unexpected success.

I drove a wedge between Li Changle and Tuoba Jun.

She is now burning with anger.

If Li Changle is determined to betray her husband,

she'll be your best pawn to deal with Tuoba Jun.

Master.

Do you still think of me as your master?

You saved my life, Master.

Of course, I'm loyal to you.

Didn't I successfully carry out the task involving Zongzheng's Residence?

Chiyun Nan.

Stop pretending.

I know that you're trying to shift the blame on the Liang people.

The whole family of a court official was murdered.

If you don't find someone to take the blame,

when the Emperor investigates the matter,

it might lead back to you.

-You're doing this for personal reasons. -Of course.

My target is Li Weiyoung.

If it weren't for Li Weiyoung, why would I be so miserable now?

You should have known that I've vowed to kill her, Master.

But I wonder

why you are always trying to protect Li Weiyoung.

It's not the time to deal with her yet.

When is the time, then?

When she becomes your woman?

Do you think I don't know that you like Li Weiyoung?

Don't forget.

Li Weiyoung only loves Tuoba Jun.

Keeping her by your side will only lead to your own destruction.

Chiyun Nan.

If you want to get your old life back,

you should not disobey my orders.

Right now,

you have no leverage to bargain with me.

I am going to rule the whole country.

Who are you to tell me

what kind of woman I can have?

I understand, Master.

Did you really search the entirety of Zongzheng's Residence

for that account book?

I've already gotten rid of all the evidence at Zongzheng's Residence.

If we can't find it,

Tuoba Jun won't be able to find it either.

-You may leave. -Yes.

Wait.

When you have time, go visit Li Changle.

She might be helpful in carrying out our plan.

Your Highness.

Even though Chiyun Nan is working for you now,

he used to be a general who led thousands of men.

I'm afraid he won't submit to you that easily.

Chiyun Nan is like a beast.

Even after you tame the beast,

it will still show its claws sometimes and attack its owner.

But as his master, I know his weaknesses.

As long as I can have his weaknesses in my hands,

his attempts to resist will be useless.

In the end,

he will still succumb to the whip of his master.

Because of the men you arranged,

we found out that Tuoba Jun is investigating the death of Prince Jingmu.

If Tuoba Jun finds the account book,

we'll be in big trouble.

I only found out because you pointed it out first.

Back then, we took down the Crown Prince with a fake account book.

Even though we got to kill him in time,

we didn't expect he had another real account book.

For some reason,

that account book came into the hands of Official Zongzheng.

Official Zongzheng and the Crown Prince were not friends.

Who knew that he would get his hands on it?

If he weren't timid and a coward,

if he had told anyone,

would we still be alive?

That just shows that you are the rightful Crown Prince.

That's why the Heavens allowed us to discover Official Zongzheng's secret

at this crucial moment.

If Father finds out

that I'm the mastermind who framed and killed Prince Jingmu,

he would never forgive me.

Not to mention succeeding the throne.

Even though I'm more powerful now,

I don't think I can influence the Emperor.

So

we can't let our guard down yet.

Tuoba Jun and Li Weiyoung

won't give up so easily.

So what if they don't?

We've destroyed all the secrets at Zongzheng's Residence.

They'll never find that account book.

CROWN PRINCE'S MANOR

Who are you?

Why would you have the token of the Chiyun family's suicide warriors?

General?

General.

It's you.

It's you, General.

I knew it.

I knew you wouldn't die.

Welcome, General.

Hong Luo.

Aren't you curious why I became like this?

The principle of the suicide warriors, don't ask questions.

We only carry out orders.

Good.

You are indeed the best suicide warrior of the Chiyun family.

How do I look?

You just look weaker, but you seem to have more energy.

That's good.

I hope Weiyoung won't notice.

Minde.

Weiyoung.

Minde.

Let me see.

Don't touch me.

Stop it.

I didn't see you for a few days. Are you better now?

But you seem to have lost weight.

Have I?

I didn't want you to worry, so I asked you to see me yourself.

I know about what happened at Zongzheng's Residence.

See?

Whenever I leave your side, you get into trouble.

You silly girl.

I can never stop worrying about you.

Look at you.

People who didn't know might think that you're my older brother.

What is it?

-Where are your manners? -Don't touch my head.

You think you can boss me around?

Can you give me some face?

No matter what, I'm a prince now.

I'm so scared, Your Highness.

So what if you're a prince?

You're still my cousin.

I will still hit you even if you're a prince.

-Why? Can't I? -Stop it.

Can't I hit you?

-Stop it. -Minde.

Minde?

You're that close now?

Are the two of you...

It's not like that.

I'll come back to you later.

Minde.

Why are you here?

Why not?

Isn't that Weiyoung?

Come with me.

One of my wishes is finally fulfilled.

Wait.

What's wrong?

-Why can't I talk to her? -You always call me...

You keep calling me Minde. Why do you call me so loudly?

Are you afraid of others hearing it? Then I'll have to keep doing it.

Minde!

I'm sorry.

You're silly.

I have to go now.

Where are you going?

Someone wants to frame the Liang people for the murder in Zongzheng's Residence

and set Weiyoung up.

I have to go look for some clues.

I'll go with you.

It's a mess at the scene.

You'd better just stay in the palace and wait for my update.

Well, it's a mess at the scene.

Another pair of eyes would be helpful.

Jade bracelets.

Take a look.

Lady, see if there's anything you like.

You have good taste.

This one is the most exquisite.

If you like it, buy it.

I'll buy it.

-How much? -Two pieces of silver.

Here.

Thank you, sir.

Have a nice day.

You're a princess. You've seen lots of jewelry.

It's just a bracelet, why do you like it so much?

Because it's the most special one.

Li Minde.

Thank you.

This is the best gift I have ever received.

I'll cherish it for the rest of my life.

Compared to your affection for me, a bracelet is really nothing.

I'll never forget how much you care about me.

Let's go. We have to get to Zongzheng's Residence.

Okay.

ZONGZHENG'S RESIDENCE

Yu.

Why are you here, too?

I'm also one of the investigators on this case.

You're being so nosy, aren't you?

How is this being nosy?

Weiyoung is my friend.

Also, about what happened last time, I was forced to do it.

Please don't hold a grudge against me, Yu.

Of course, I wouldn't do that to my sister.

But I'll advise you to take care of yourself.

I see that you've recovered.

Thanks for your concern, Your Highness.

Let me give you some advice.

Go back to Rouran earlier.

Until the mutual trading treaty is over,

I won't leave.

Let's go inside, then.

We have the same goal.

I don't want anything to happen to Weiyoung.

I hope that we can find the culprit soon.

Why is Yu getting weirder and weirder?

Li Minde, let's go.

It's such a mess here.

A princess shouldn't be here.

You said that it would be better if more people are there to help.

Also, I want to help Weiyoung.

I have to take care of you, too.

I know.

But you're a dainty princess.

You should stop touching these.

You just got better.

The physician said you need to rest.

You shouldn't carry heavy things.

All right.

That's the second time.

Let's keep searching.

You've already searched that area.

We can look closer.

Maybe we'll find something else.

What are you doing?

Nothing.

I'll go find Tuoba Jun.

Weiyoung!

-Weiyoung! -Weiyoung!

-Weiyoung! -Weiyoung!

Tuoba Jun, I'm here.

Open the door.

I'll find a way to open it right now.

Are you all right?

There are many boxes with scrolls in them.

Weiyoung, are you all right?

-Weiyoung! -Weiyoung!

Be careful in there.

Weiyoung.

There must be a switch. Let's find it separately.

What are you doing?

What are you hiding?

Let me see it.

Are you okay?

Hurry!

Tuoba Jun, open the door!

Open the door!

Your Highness. Be careful.

What now? What should we do now?

Find the switch!

Your Highness, let go!

You're going to get hurt.

Weiyoung is in danger.

I can't let go.

Tuoba Jun!

Tuoba Jun!

Tuoba Jun! Open the door!

Tuoba Jun!

You're bleeding.

Are you all right?

Are you concerned about me?

Why did you save me?

Because

you're the only woman worth saving.

I only have Tuoba Jun in my heart.

I only have you in my heart.

Weiyoung.

You can't separate us.

To die with you

would be the happiest thing

to happen in my life.

Your Highness, hurry up.

We can't hold it much longer.

I found a secret compartment, but there are two switches.

Whatever.

Hurry.

It might just be a life for a life.

Li Minde, I'm going to marry you.

I did it!

Li Minde.

I want to marry you.

Why isn't the door opening?

Weiyoung.

The trap has stopped moving. I'll rescue you right away.

Tuoba Yu.

Hang in there.

Tuoba Jun.

-Weiyoung, are you all right? -Yu.

Weiyoung, I'm sorry I let you suffer.

Tuoba Jun, what happened to your hand?

I'm fine.

How is he?

I'm fine.

Come over here.

Look.

ACCOUNT BOOK

An account book.

Look.

Is this the one we were looking for?

There's a lot more over there.

Bring them all out.

Did you get all of them out?

They are all here.

-You may leave. -Yes.

Prince Gaoyang, we have arranged for men to escort

the Princess, Lady Li, and Prince Yuanlie.

Send all these boxes to the Jingzhao Manor.

Yes.

-Watch out. -Put out the fire.

-Be careful, Your Highness. -Protect His Highness.

Protect the books!

Where did those masked men appear from?

How exasperating.

We've finally found some clues.

Now we have nothing again.

The question is, how did they know we found something?

And they came so soon.

Someone must have leaked the news.

It might also be possible that they had been watching us from outside.

That's how they got there in time.

It's getting more and more complicated.

What we can be sure of

is that they must be involved with the death of Official Zongzheng.

Actually, we have been focusing on Zongzheng's Residence all this time.

But we have neglected another clue.

What is it?

Didn't I say that on the day the people at Zongzheng's Residence were murdered,

the informant who told us about account book didn't show up?

I think these two things are connected.

The actions of the men in black

have confirmed this suspicion of mine.

I think the person behind it was involved with my father's death.

Could we find the informant?

I have sent Cheng De to look for him.

I hope he can find something.

Your Highness, an old friend wishes to see you.

Old friend?

CONGRATULATIONS, COUSIN

General, she is here.

Nan.

You're alive?

I wouldn't die that easily.

I have to get revenge.

Li Weiyoung.

Yes.

I'm talking about Li Weiyoung.

I won't let her live.

Also,

I want revenge on the man who hunted me down and took my army.

His Majesty?

You're going to get revenge on His Majesty?

How are you going to do that?

I'll help Prince Nan'an get the throne.

That will be the best revenge.

You're working with Prince Nan'an?

He saved me.

Nan.

But can we trust Prince Nan'an?

From what I know, he loves Li Weiyoung.

If Li Weiyoung finds out that you are still alive,

you'll be in danger.

Right now, my only purpose in life

is to help the Chiyun family regain power and glory again.

Other than working with Prince Nan'an, I have no choice.

I'll definitely help you

to fulfill your wish.

You're Tuoba Jun's wife now.

Are you sure you want to do this?

He has never seen me as his wife.

Why should I be loyal to him?

Your wish is to help the Chiyun family regain power and glory.

And my wish is

to help Tuoba Jun's enemies

completely destroy him.

Cheng De, how much longer do we have to wait?

The informant always leaves notes at the same place.

His Highness wanted me to contact the person,

so I come here every day.

-Let's wait a bit longer. -Okay.

We have the information. Let's go.

AUSPICIOUS TEAHOUSE

He wants to meet up with us.

-We should tell Young Lady about this. -Yes.

Jun Tao, wait for me over there.

I'll go look for that man.

What took you so long? Let's go.

Here.

-What's this? -It's for you.

Take it.

I always thought they would suit you well.

Come on. Let me put them on for you.

Why don't you have piercings?

How could a woman not have piercings?

So what if I don't have piercings? Is it against the law?

You don't have piercings too, do you?

You don't have piercings, and you're a bully.

I spent a few months' pay on that.

Are you a woman or not?

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

The informant has contacted us.

He asked to meet up with me in the woods tomorrow.

Go bring him back here quietly.

He is our only clue right now.

We can't let anything go wrong.

Yes.

The masked men are very secretive.

We don't know who they are.

You must be careful.

Don't worry, Your Highness. I have the help of an expert.

Look how happy you are.

-Go now. -Okay.

CROWN PRINCE'S MANOR

This is just for work.

Don't think I've forgiven you.

My ear is still hurting.

What are you doing?

What are you...

Jun Tao.

Jun Tao.

Jun Tao.

Those earrings look so pretty on you.

You look like a fairy.

What are you talking about?

What are you doing?

You've accepted my betrothal gift. You're my woman now.

What are you talking about?

I'm taking my sword out.

Please don't.

Jun Tao.

Are you still going to kick me?

Why isn't he here yet?

Did something happen?

I'm here to meet you.

Can you come out and meet me?

My lord, how have you been?

Why didn't you show up that night?

The Prince waited the whole night.

I didn't do so on purpose.

After I delivered the letter to you that day, I was captured by some men.

I thought that they were just common servants,

so I thought I'd scare them off with Official Zongzheng's name.

But they were very so cruel and vicious.

They wanted to kill me.

I faked my death and got away.

When I got back,

Official Zongzheng and his family were all dead.

It's all my fault.

So Official Zongzheng was the one who had the account book.

Official Zongzheng once said

that the account book is related to Prince Jingmu's death.

He wanted me to give it to Prince Gaoyang.

Where is it now?

My lord, here.

Official Zongzheng gave this to me.

When you find an opportunity, go and tell his Highness about this first.

We're going together.

Nobody is leaving.

Kill them.

Who are you?

When you get to hell, you can ask the King of Hell.

We know the death of Official Zongzheng

is related to Prince Jingmu.

We'll find out who you are.

Even ten masks wouldn't help hide your identity then.

In that case, I'll have to kill you all.

Jun Tao!

Cheng De!
