Every single person that I have working for me right now has had something

happen. I just worry that it could follow me home, hurt someone I love.

He can go anywhere to anyone at any time.

Not good.

I'm seeing skeletons.

They're stacked on top of each other.

Body parts were actually raining down from the sky.

One of the things that I saw him doing was actually eating a human heart.

He still believes that this is his town.

He wants it back.

He wants the person dead.

My name is Amy Allen.

I see dead people.

I saw a winged creature.

I speak to dead people, and they speak to me.

This person feels like a monster.

But there's only one way to know if my findings are real.

They are sucking the life out of these people.

I rely on my partner.

I'm Steve Bischoff. I'm a retired New York City homicide detective.

So how many bodies are we talking? And I know every person, every house, has

secrets. It's my job to reveal them. But Steve and I never speak. We never

communicate during an investigation.

Until the very end.

Or time to get out. It wants inside the house because it wants to kill you.

Amy and I got called into Flagstaff a couple of weeks ago to help a business

that was struggling with the paranormal.

Little did we know at the time that the entire freaking town was haunted.

So we decided to stay and expand our investigation and for the first time try

help an entire city.

Tonight you'll find out what's really going on in your town and what you can

about it.

But first we're going to start from the very beginning from when Amy and I first

got here.

I got a desperate call from a woman named Jessica who runs a crystal shop

been in her family for three generations.

But now she's scared.

Scared for her employees, her customers, and herself.

It's gotten really bad.

Every single one of my employees has a story.

I'm afraid that everything is going to get worse.

Now she told me activity's gotten so bad, if we can't help, she may have to

the place down.

I hope A .B. and I can figure out how to fix it.

I see this dead woman.

She is wearing a bride dress and a long veil.

We start holding hands.

And then she jumps up on my back and she gets all evil looking. And I'm like,

oh, damn. I'm like, she's with people.

So she's not all good.

So, Jessica, this is a really nice shop you got here in a great little town.

What the hell's going on? You didn't sound good on the phone when we spoke.

We've just been having way too many things happening, and now my staff is

scared. So I can imagine you're probably worried about your customers as well.

Absolutely. And there's a lot of very fragile, sharp things in the store, so

definitely worried about their safety, too.

All your employees having experiences, or is it just you?

Every single person that I have working for me right now has had something

happen. What part of the store is the worst for your employees and yourself?

I'd definitely say it's the basement.

Okay. It always feels really creepy down there. There is a series of tunnels

that kind of connects all of downtown.

Really? That also connects to our basement.

Tunnels? Mm -hmm. That's interesting. That's something I'm going to look into.

All right, so let's start with basics. How long do you own the shop?

It's been in my family for 35 years. I was raised in the store, raised with

business, so it's part of who I am. You know, I have two young kids. I want them

to feel like they're safe in here as well.

Okay.

So if you can, give me a list of what you guys are experiencing.

Footsteps and voices.

We have things flying off the shelf.

We always feel like we're being watched, and we're seeing apparition.

Are you having experiences anyplace else but the shop?

I have experiences pretty much everywhere in Flagstaff.

Okay, that's interesting.

Have you ever tried to bring somebody in to try to get rid of what's here? No,

but I do some of my own things.

Like what? Every single time I walk in that door, I kind of say out into the

space, please leave me alone.

I also do some smudging with White Sage.

Has the smudging and you talking out loud helped?

No. What are you hoping we can do for you?

I really want to know what's here.

why they're here and essentially how to either get rid of them or at least

appease them so that they aren't harassing my staff on a daily basis.

I'm seeing this flat -looking shadow guy.

He's extremely tall, very wide.

He's got a hat and a suit, very flat, flat against a wall, all shadow.

And he truly, absolutely feels he's untouchable.

He came and took everything from everyone.

He hurt and harmed so many. I think people have been trying to get rid of

for a long time, and ain't nothing worked.

He's like kind of losing his humanity at this point.

This is strange.

I see him eating something.

He's eating a human heart, and it was apparently Native American.

He can go anywhere to anyone at any time.

Not good.

What's going on here?

Well, our basement is right back there. Okay. And it's where most of us see

apparitions or shadow figures.

The shadow figures, can you describe what it looks like? It doesn't really

any shape. It just looks like something black moving in my peripheral vision. Do

you have any windows in the basements from the outside? No. All right, so

can be cast in the shadow from outside?

No. Okay, so anything else? Sometimes merchandise just flies off the shelf.

So I got to ask you, I felt when those trains went by here, it's right across

the street. Is it possible the trains causing some of the stuff to fall off?

No, I mean, this building is old, but it doesn't shake when the trains go by.

Okay, so anything else?

I never get migraines, ever.

And when I've been coming into the store these last couple of days, it's just

been these pulsing migraines that don't go away unless I leave the building.

Interesting, okay.

You can get out of this investigation.

It's a family business.

This business means the world to me, to my parents, and I really would love to

be able to pass this business on to my kids and that I feel safe to pass it on

to them so that we can continue this for as many generations as we can do it.

There's a guy.

He seems to be recent.

And so I think that he used to work here. He's very like ADHD.

It's kind of like all over the place.

He's making my head hurt too.

I'm getting like really sharp head pain with him.

And I think the living, they could get headaches in this area. And also they've

become very scattered up in this area. Like they couldn't, can't focus, can't

keep track of their thoughts.

People would get very drained around him.

He does do a lot of physical stuff in here. He's, like, into stuff. He's,

messing with things.

It's almost like he's trying to, like, interact with people. They might feel,

like, pats or pressure on their back, shoulders, arms, which I guess would

them out.

So, Brittany, how long have you been working here?

On and off for the past three years.

I was talking to Jessica, and it sounds like you guys have a paranormal problem

here. Do you agree with that? I would agree with that.

I feel like it's gotten worse over the years.

So are there experiences you could tell me about?

Yeah. I came in to open one morning, and there was journals thrown across the

floor off one of the shelves.

Okay. I do have a picture of that, actually.

Looking at that photo, it seems pretty aggressive. What do you think happened?

I feel as though there is a ghost here that is a man.

Okay. And I think that he is the one that throws things off the shelf.

All right, what else can you tell me?

The faucet turns on in the bathroom on its own.

Is it possible maybe a co -worker just left it on by accident? Because I do it

all the time. I don't think so.

I've never had any of the girls leave the faucet on.

Does it freak you out?

It scares me, yeah.

The flat dude, I see him bothering people around the bathroom.

I'm, like, seeing women in the restroom.

Very creepy.

I don't know how they're experiencing this.

Like, I don't know if they're seeing this shadow figure or if they're feeling

anything on them.

Like, I'm hearing the woman being like, get out of here. Get out of here. Leave

me alone.

She's very angry. I see her hitting her leg, and then she's saying, get out of

here. Get out of here. Leave me alone.

So, Jordan, I was talking to Jessica, who owns the place, and she was saying a

lot of staff are pretty scared about the stuff that's going on here.

Yeah. Yeah, it's definitely been kind of an eerie place to work. We've all had

experiences. So she mentioned this basement in particular.

Yeah. The basement is kind of where the most of us don't want to be.

Okay. So can you tell me about some of the experiences you've had?

So the other day I was vacuuming.

And I went to go for it, and all of a sudden it was stuck in place like

was holding it from behind me.

Can you show me how tough it was for you to... Nice. Give me your arm.

Oh. Okay, so it was pretty strong. It was significantly, like, not moving.

Sometimes the brush on the vacuum can get stuck on the fibers in the rug. Was

that what happened?

Well, we do have carpet, but I was doing the wood at this time. Okay, so... So

it wasn't getting stuck.

Okay, so anything else?

When I was down here, I saw, like, the reflection of, like, a shadow behind me.

It felt very, like, engulfing, like, just all around me.

All right, you must have crapped yourself. I was terrified when that

welcome here by that particular spirit.

I don't want to go down there.

Okay. I don't honestly know why I'm hesitant. I just felt oppressed.

He's malignant. He tries to cause problems. Anybody he doesn't like,

he tries to take them down.

He can push people.

And he's, like, pushing people to get out of here.

When he's in this area, he likes to hang out down here. And he, like, plots and

plans. He's writing out names of people he hates, people he wants to do harm to.

That's what he does. He does that wide circle area, wide circle area.

And I think this might be one of the nicest.

So, Adeline, Jessica was saying there's a lot of paranormal activity in the

shop. Now, do you agree with that? Yes, for sure.

Okay. So you've had experiences, obviously, right?

Mm -hmm. I just feel watched all the time.

How does it feel to you? What kind of feeling is it?

It's just like someone is boring their eyes into the back of your head.

It feels like someone wants me to know that they're there.

Okay. Is it an intimidating feel?

Yes. It's very scary. It makes me not want to be down here.

All right, so is there anything else?

Awful feeling of sickness that I get when I'm down here.

All right, describe the feeling for me.

Where my heart drops to my stomach. It's dread. It makes me feel like I'm going

to throw up.

So there's a lot of activity in this place.

Do you think it's possible somebody can get hurt from it?

I would just worry that if the spirit did get angry, that it could follow me

home, hurt someone I love, or just get mad enough to the point where things get

ugly.

Okay.

The flat -looking shadow guy did feel like that people had seen him. You know,

because when he's in the shadow form, he's the big guy.

He don't want to be bothered, and he does get all psycho.

I think he goes to other places that he thinks he owns.

He does follow people home, and he makes people sick.

And he will go home with them.

He will make them sicker and sicker and sicker.

I don't feel good.

So Jessica's business is in an older building.

Figured there had to be some history to it. Turns out one of the original owners

was a controversial guy.

I'm heading over to meet a local professor who tells me he lived fast,

young, and made a lot of money and enemies along the way.

Well, Professor, thanks for helping me out with this case. I appreciate it.

Let's start at the top. What do we know about this guy?

So his name was James Bale, and he came here from Ohio in the early 1880s. He

was just in his 20s. And he ends up becoming a bartender at the saloon

located right on the same premises as your client's business.

So it was a saloon at one point, and he worked there.

Exactly. So now you mentioned on the phone, Professor, that this kid made a

of money.

How did he do that bartending?

Well, James Vail took a Campbell, and he bought the saloon.

And that went really well for a while until a big tragedy broke out across the

town. Okay, so the tragedy, what happened?

So in 1888, there was a huge fire across Flagstaff, and so many of the buildings

were made out of wood, and a lot of them burned down, and James Vale's saloon

was one of them. But he didn't give up, and so he rebuilt the saloon out of

brick. You can see it right here.

The building looks a little different now.

Right, so some of the bricks were stuccoed over in the 1930s. But it's

bricks, though. Exactly.

Wow, okay.

I saw...

Some fire, I think it's residual, this place, it was much, much smaller.

Some kind of like door way back in the day.

So in this area, I'm feeling like a lot of this panic. I'm feeling, I'm hearing

people yelling. And then I'm seeing like the walls closing in.

All right, so this James Vale kid.

rebuilds his business after this tragic fire. How's it go after that? He does a

lot better after he adds a brothel to the saloon as well. Okay. I'm sure that

didn't go over well with some of the conservative folks in town.

But he does really well. He makes a lot of money and is able to buy a lot of

real estate around town, including a cattle ranch.

So now he's got a ranch and the bar and the whole house.

Okay. So now, Professor, you told me on the phone this kid died young. I mean,

what happened?

Things start to go really bad in 1905.

He's out on his ranch during the summer. He's in a wagon, and he gets thrown

from the wagon by his horses. He hits the ground, breaks his leg, and so he's

able to keep the leg, but he is permanently disabled in a lot of pain.

All right, so he's got this bad injury, and he's disabled, but that's not what

killed him, right?

That's right. On April 3, 1906, he goes downtown, buys a .45 revolver, buys some

bullets. Okay. Returns back to his ranch, and just before high noon, a shot

rings out, and they find James Vail dead with a bullet hole in the head.

He was just 45 years old.

Why would he kill himself?

I think the pain was just too much for him, and I don't think he saw a way out.

Well, you know, when it comes to suicide, nobody knows what's going

people's heads.

This flat -looking shadow guy is down here a lot.

Did you get a name on him?

Something like Jack.

I think this guy owned a lot around here. And I think he did

really bad.

I think this might have been one of the places he owned or land he owned

originally. And I think he thinks he still does.

He wants it back.

So far, I have a client who's worried sick over the safety of her employees

customers. on a property that was once owned by a shady businessman who

committed suicide.

But I want to see if there's anything else.

Searching through old records, I find out Jessica was right.

There really are tunnels running beneath downtown Flagstaff.

In fact, they run right underneath her shop.

I'm heading over to meet a woman who made a documentary about them.

These tunnels are used as infrastructure for the city.

She tells me there are a lot of rumors and myths about these tunnels, and she

wants to set the record straight.

So, Nikki, thanks for helping me out with my investigation.

These tunnels, I mean, what's the story with them?

They run throughout the downtown area here in Flagstaff, and they connect

several businesses to one another.

All right, so when were they built?

They were built actually in the late 1800s. Some of the tunnels were used as

steam tunnels. They were only about two to two and a half feet wide, and the

steam would then heat the businesses downtown.

Okay, so now what were the other tunnels used for?

This is actually where it gets a little bit interesting because some of the

tunnels were used as passageways that you could get from one business to the

other. But there are actually a lot of rumors around town of what actually went

on down there.

Okay, now you've piqued my interest. Like what?

There was actually a rumor of some illegal card games, and any time the

would come to raid it, the owner would push a button and they would escape.

Okay, so any evidence of that?

That's really just a local myth, so there's absolutely no evidence.

All right, so these bigger tunnels, are they being used at all?

In the 90s, Flagstaff actually did a renovation of the downtown area, which

meant they sealed up a lot of the tunnels. Okay. But some of them are

still used today for utility purposes.

All right, so what are the chances I can get down there and see these tunnels?

You actually can't get down there anymore.

It's actually pretty unsafe, so I wouldn't recommend going down there.

which makes sense.

Well, I appreciate you helping me because now I can tell a fact from

when it comes to these tunnels.

The flat shadow guy is not alone down here.

There's a really weird looking thing with him.

This is like they come and go through here. They come and go through here.

There's like walkways or something.

So there's somewhere they go there. There's somewhere they go there.

There's a lot going on down here.

I'm also seeing, I am seeing bodies. I'm seeing skeletons.

Okay. And they're like stacked.

I'm, like, scared.

Word got out that we're investigating Jessica's crystal shop. Ever since then,

my phone's been blowing up.

A bunch of locals are begging to meet with me.

I've told them to meet me at a local bar so they can tell me what the hell is

going on in this town.

I own Victorian Moon Antiques here in downtown Flagstaff.

So I know you wanted to talk to me about some of the paranormal stuff that's

going on.

Yeah, I see shadow figures all the time.

So where are you seeing these shadow figures?

I see them at my shop. I see them at home.

I see them around town.

The next thing I knew...

More and more people started telling me they're seeing things they can't

explain. I'm a bartender at one of the breweries here in town.

So, what are you experiencing?

I'm seeing shadow figures around town.

You getting any kind of vibe off these shadow figures you're seeing?

Um, well, it makes me anxious. A little nervous.

Feels like there could be some bad intent behind it.

Now, seeing shadow figures is one thing. I get that a lot.

But what this local saw really surprised me. I was in the basement of the

downtown diner, and I saw a head.

Just a head?

Just a head.

And it was just kind of like a floating head?

Yeah. I didn't have any body.

It had very, like, palish skin. It had very long, dark hair. Very big head. And

to me, it just had a very eerie, cold presence to its face.

So when you saw this large head, I mean, did you freeze? What did you do? I

looked at it, and I just ran away. I ran right out of the diner. I freaked out.

Okay.

That strange looking thing from the basement goes all over town.

I'm trying to follow it.

It's telling me it's here to help, but I don't know if I believe it. Are people

seeing this in any way?

It can change into any form and has been mistaken for other things.

And then people are freaking out.

A lot of panic.

I spent the whole night at the bar with one local after another coming by to

tell their bizarre stories.

I was at work once and the bathroom door opened and slammed just completely on

its own. So it really freaked me out.

The more I heard, the more concerns I got.

I run a tour company in town. Ten years ago, I was spending the night at one of

the hotels downtown and I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I was

being choked.

It was just gasping for air, and I don't have asthma or anything, and I just

could not breathe.

Did you think whatever it was was trying to kill you?

You know, I did.

One thing is clear to me. Just about everyone in Flagstaff is having

experiences, and they're relieved to finally get a chance to talk about it. I

work at the local theater. So you have experience you want to tell me about.

What do you have?

There's a dark energy at the theater in the basement.

So can you describe this feeling for me? She feels angry, like we're not wanted

there. So with all the activity that's going on in town, do you think somebody

can get hurt?

I do.

So that thing, he says he comes in here and he's helping people.

Well, he's helping people with the past, the present, what's going on now.

What kind of time frame are you talking about? It says it's been here forever.

It's not from the earth.

Initially when I saw it, it was outside in the stars. You know, I think it's

pretty immense.

So it's not just here?

No. God, no.

So does this thing operate on a global scale?

No.

Just Flagstaff?

No, it's just there for sure, yeah.

We were called in to investigate activity at a small family -run shop.

But it sounds to me like the whole freaking town is haunted.

So I don't like doing it, but I've got to break the rules this time.

protocol in years, but we came to do this one location and people are coming

to me one after the other after the other, telling me how there's activity

throughout the whole downtown.

As soon as Amy and I decided to expand our investigation, I got a call from a

guy who works at the Flagstaff Visitor Center.

He heard I had been talking to locals about the paranormal activity and said I

have no idea just how bad things are.

So, Joshua, when we spoke on the phone, you sounded pretty adamant about talking

to me.

What the hell's going on?

We're getting all kinds of stories from all the different locations that we send

our visitors out to. And some people are afraid to work in certain places.

Some people may be afraid to come visit us. I hope you can figure out what's

here and what we can do to keep everybody safe.

Have you had experiences in town?

I have had many experiences here in town. You have? I have.

At the visitor center, we have a basement and an attic. It always feels

someone's watching you.

Okay, so anything else? We had an employee at the visitor center report

locked in the basement.

So what do you think happened with this lock?

I myself many times have tried to debunk how it would lock from the inside, and

that door does not lock from the inside. I believe something was holding the

door closed.

It scared me pretty good.

It seems this entire town is haunted.

Is there any other place in town that sounds good to check out? A lot of

out of the Orpheon Theater.

What are you hoping we could do for you? When people come here and visit, we

want them to be safe. You know, we really want to make sure that when our

come, that we can send them out to these places and there's nothing that's going

to attach to them or go home with them.

I saw two things on my first walk that I believe are affecting the entire town.

Tonight, I'm going to see if that's really the case.

The same alien thing that I got on my first walk showed up covered in leaves.

That he tries to get them out.

So he wants to get everything back that he had in life?

Yes.

So this is a really cool venue you got here. How old is this building?

So it was built in 1911.

Wow. Operated as a cinematic house, and then in the winter of 1915, due to a

huge snowstorm, the whole roof collapsed, destroyed the building, and

to be rebuilt in 1917.

So I'm investigating paranormal activity throughout the whole downtown area

here. Spoke to Joshua, and he said you guys are having issues as well. Is that

true? That is correct, yes.

Are there any experiences you can tell me about? Yeah, I tend to see shadowy

figures from time to time.

I would see them up in the curtains and then up into the balcony.

Okay, what do they look like?

They look human -like, but more kind of shadowy and moving quickly.

Okay, so anything else?

Sometimes these lights up in the truck would come on. By themselves?

Yes. Do you think somebody broke in?

No, because nobody would have known how to turn them on.

Okay. It's run through our computerized lighting track.

So it seems everywhere I go, everybody's had an experience.

I mean, it sounds like the whole... The town is haunted. Do you think so?

I definitely do.

I mean, it has a long history, and I've heard a lot of stories as well. So I do

think the town has a haunted history and culture.

I'm seeing that woman who's dressed like a bride again.

Okay, so apparently she spends a lot of time here. So I'm getting that she

causes a lot of problems with people on the stage.

She's very upset.

She does a lot of bad things here.

She is climbing on their backs. I wonder if they feel literally a

weight on their shoulders all of a sudden, feeling like something really

slammed onto them. She can affect electricity, and she'll do it on purpose

I think if people see her, they see her white misty.

and all this kind of stuff. She kind of wants this all to herself.

I understand you used to work here. I worked in the concession stand at the

front of the building.

So I was talking to Susan that runs the place.

She thinks there's a lot of activity here. Do you agree with that?

I do.

I've definitely known a lot of people who have had some kind of experience

I was about six months pregnant when I was working here about ten years ago,

I was moving some stuff from one end of the building to the other, and something

pushed me from behind into a table.

Please tell me you didn't get hurt. I mean, it hurt when it happened, but

nothing happened to, you know, my daughter was fine. Everything was good.

When this happened, what did you do? I ran outside and started crying.

It felt like something was trying to hurt me.

So that was pretty frightening for you. Yes. Okay, anything else?

Yeah, about a year and a half ago, I came here to see a show. Okay. My friend

and I were able to go backstage, and as soon as we got back there, I had this

feeling of we need to get out of here, like impending doom.

As soon as we left, I felt fine.

Obviously, you feel there's paranormal activity here.

Yes. I think the whole town's haunted.

How do you feel? I agree with you 100%. And in that time, I've seen...

People, good people, do bad things.

So what you're saying is that the paranormal in this town actually could

influence people?

Yeah, to do, like, evil things.

Ooh, there's some dead dude up in here.

With him in the living, it's not a great thing.

They're feeling very anxious and very panicked, but this is his anger. This is

how they're interpreting the anger.

I think people see him, but it's just shadow figure, male shadow figure.

big, though. He blows himself up, so he gets really big.

Also, you can't breathe around him.

That's something with his death. When he was dying, he couldn't breathe.

understand, your hotel has activity here.

But before we get to that, this is a beautiful spot.

You are the owner, right?

Right. My husband and myself.

Assuming you know some history about the place, what can you tell me?

It was built by John Weatherford as a general store in 1897, and then he

it into a hotel in 1900.

John Weatherford also built the Orpheum Theater next door.

So I just came from there. So this guy had a real mark on this town.

Yeah.

So let's get to the paranormal.

Have you had any experiences?

I have.

A gentleman stayed with us once and wrote me and said that he got up in the

morning, looked through the window of the ballroom, and he saw a waist -like

female -type character float across the room.

Now, did you question the guy if it could have been maybe a hotel guest or

something like that? I did. I wrote him back, and it was too early in the

morning. It couldn't even have been the housekeeping.

Okay, any other guest experiences you could tell me about?

Yes, a former employee.

Uh that stayed with us said she woke up in the middle of the night and had a

couple sitting on her bed It startled her and before she knew it they got up

they walked through the door through the door through the door I mean, i'm a i'm

a pretty hardcore guy. I think that would scare the out of me

A girl that would hang out with him when he would play the piano.

So they may hear females talking.

Like, I'm just getting flashes of them.

So possibly people would see like that, these flashes, like, of these women.

So, Chelsea, I understand you're the general manager here.

I am. From what I've heard, this place is kind of haunted.

Yeah, actually, growing up in this building, there were two dead people I

all the time.

Tell me about the first one.

Well, there was a girl by the name of Matilda that I used to play with all the

time upstairs.

Okay. Was she nice to you? Did you guys get along?

She was. She was a very light presence, very kind.

So what about the other one? His name was Algernon, and he lived in the

basement.

He had a bit of a dark presence to him, almost evil.

Right when we were reopening the gopher hole.

Okay. We were doing a lot of construction down there. Okay. And we

upset him. I was shining a glass, and another one shot off the drink rack and

hit a mirror right behind me, and I knew that was him. This glass was directed

at you?

Right past my face.

So did anything else like that ever happen?

Actually, there is a bottle in this actual room.

Okay. Right up there, and it fell off the top of that ledge.

Did you see it fall?

From security cameras after the fact.

Do you have that available for me to look at?

I actually do.

So, Chelsea, let me ask you a question. Anybody else you think I should talk to

From what I could tell during my investigation, it seems like this whole

I definitely do. I mean, it's the Wild West.

Yeah. There's a lot of history here in Flagstaff.

There's one male who's here often.

I think he was like some kind of manager maybe in like the 1930s or 40s.

I think people see him.

Because I think he does stuff.

I feel like he tries to guide people, tries to influence their actions if they

work here. So I think, like, maybe he might influence people to, like, you

clean that table.

But if they don't do what he wants, he can lash out.

So that's interesting.

So Nancy, I got to tell you, this is a great old school diner. It reminds me of

me growing up in Brooklyn. It just has that look to it and that feel.

How long have you owned the place?

My family's had it for over 30 years.

How important is this place to you?

It's everything to me.

It's part of my family.

Chelsea at the hotel says you have paranormal activity here.

Yes. So do me a favor and tell me about what you're experiencing.

Well, one of the first things...

That happened, I was in the basement, and there was someone sweeping.

I could see the full motion of it.

Okay, so an operational issue.

Absolutely, because when I turned around, thinking I was going to talk to

-worker, there was no one there.

Was there anything else?

I was rolling silverware right there, nobody near me, and I felt on

my shoulder, two tap, and I looked.

And I looked, and I literally turned a circle because I could not, I have

goosebumps. I couldn't, there was nobody there.

That kind of freaked you out, I could tell. Oh, yeah.

And it couldn't have been two drops of heavy water coming? No.

Okay. No, no.

And that's why I tapped you.

I was tapped.

So if something could do that, what else could it do? Exactly.

It kind of made me realize that.

There's a lot more here than I knew.

That thing is here.

That thing and that man.

What are you talking about? The alien thing and the other dude.

The flat -looking shadow guy.

Okay, they're trying to pull me outside.

It's all about them.

I'm seeing another dead person in here.

He's a big guy.

So I guess his name is Bill.

I kind of feel like at some point he owned this place.

He'll come up and start talking to people, living people.

He does tend to move things about.

He's pretty good at that.

So that's not good.

This is the first time we've investigated an entire town.

Obviously, I'm not going to be able to find out everything that's ever happened

here. So I thought I'd start by getting an overview of Flagstaff's history.

I'm meeting a local historian who told me the city has always been plagued by

tragedy and bloodshed.

So, Dre, thanks for coming out and meeting with me. I appreciate that.

And this is Arizona.

We all got to assume Native American history is pretty big here. Absolutely.

So let me ask you a question. When did the white settlers get here?

Around 1840s is when those settlers started kind of coming into the region.

Okay. So obviously the tribes get driven out. What happened?

So from about 1861 to 1875, that 14 -year period becomes

what's known as the Yavapai Wars, and that's the U .S. Army coming in and

kicking out most of the native tribes here, relocating them, making room for

white settlers to come in.

Okay, so it had to be pretty brutal, I assume.

Ultimately, in 1875, February 27th becomes what's known as Exodus Day, and

that begins the Apache Trail of Tears, where they force out around 1 ,400

peoples, marching them 200 miles across a winter desert, beating them with

whips, with chains. They don't want to go. They leave them to die on the side

the road. So basically, it's a death march.

So how many died out of that 14 and change?

Roughly 375 people lost their lives. Wow, that's like almost a third, right?

Jeez. Right around there.

I am seeing one single Native American male. He has one feather, and behind

him are all shadow figures.

He indicates that they're all women and children.

He says they are buried in the ground.

He says we need help.

Okay, so now the Native Americans are forced out. What happens next?

So around 1876, settlers start coming to the area, but the town would never

really flourish until the railway was actually established, just cutting right

through the middle of town in the early 1880s. But that came at a cost of its

own. Okay, so what do you mean by that?

Well, you know, many different accidents happened.

The worst happened in the summer of 1881 when some blasting powder actually went

off prematurely. Okay, so how bad was this blast?

According to the article, actually, I have here, seven people died and three

people were maimed. They say that body parts were actually raining down from

sky when that happened.

So when you said on the phone that this town is plagued with bloodshed and

tragedy, you weren't kidding.

Unfortunately not.

I don't like this.

There's a bunch of men down there, and they're in a lot of pain.

Damn, man, there's got to be at least 10 of them.

They're laborers.

They're hurting.

1860, 1870.

Maybe they all died. That's why they're all up.

I think that the...

Living might have experiences with them. I think if they're around in that area,

they might feel a lot of the pain.

Just about any city is going to have its share of murders.

But it turns out that Flagstaff has a really violent past.

I'm on my way to meet a local true crime author who says she can prove it to me.

Now, Susan, you mentioned on the phone that you wrote a book about some

homicides in town. Tell me about that.

That was one of the saddest chapters in Flagstaff's history.

1937.

Happened just down the street from the Orpheum.

So I did a lot of interviews there yesterday. People having a lot of

with paranormal activity.

So who were the players in this murder?

That would have been the Walkup family.

Marie Walkup, 32 -year -old mother of four children.

Okay. And her husband, J .D., woke up, a politician and a man about town.

Okay, so what happened?

It was July 22, 1937. J .D. was down in Phoenix.

Sometime that night, Marie woke up, went into the bedrooms of her children,

taken an ice pick and stabbed each one in the heart and then strangled them.

After that, she washed their bodies and put them back in bed and pulled the

covers up to their chins.

How old were these kids?

Well, here are their death certificates.

Daniel was 10, Rose was 7, John was 4 1⁄2, and Elizabeth was

about 18 months.

All right, any idea what would cause her to do this?

Well, everybody has a different theory. It does seem like she might have had

some depression. She was isolated.

Her husband was gone quite a bit at the time, and she had four children.

And sometime that night, Maria woke up.

Sat in her house, took a pen to paper, and wrote four notes.

One of those notes was to her husband. It was printed in the paper the next

And it said, because of my lack of discipline, the children are better off

this way.

Only grief would come to them.

You are strong in faith, never doubting.

Mercy, mercy to my people. I have loved you, and I have failed.

All right, so now we've got four dead kids, babies.

in the home. What happens with her?

Well, she went into the closet. She got her husband's old army rifle, laid the

gun up with the muzzle against her chest, and used her big toe to pull the

trigger and shot herself.

There's an article about it.

All right, so she wasn't of sound mind, this woman, obviously.

To this day, this is one of the most disturbing murders in Flagstaff's

That woman who's dressed like a bride is wandering around in here.

She says she died a long time ago.

I hear 20s, but I don't know if that's her age or the year around she died.

I kind of want to say suicide.

I kind of got the feeling that she was kind of being forced to live not

how she wanted to.

Like she wanted to be like free, you know, footloose and fancy free. And that

wasn't going to happen.

She doesn't like people in the space. Any reason? She feels like it's hers and

she should be here and they shouldn't.

Everyone out here is seeing and hearing strange stuff. Now, to me, everything

isn't paranormal.

Flagstaff is a mountain town. It's 7 ,000 feet above sea level.

Trust me, I feel it every morning I'm here.

Now, from what I've been reading, mountain climbers sometimes get

from thin air.

So I'm wondering if that's what's happening here.

I'm heading over to a doctor who specializes in altitude sickness, and

going to put my theory to the test.

Well, Dr. Backus, I appreciate you helping me out and meeting with me. So

investigation in town, I'm coming across a ton of people that are hearing things

and seeing things. Now, this altitude is kicking my ass. Is it possible this

altitude could cause people to see things or hear things that aren't there?

Yes. There are reports of mountain climbers who talk to people that aren't

there. Besides the hallucinations, are there any other side effects?

Dizziness. Okay. It happens. And then it could be confusion.

Okay, I've been here a few days, and I'm having a couple of those myself.

Yes. So, Doctor, I brought some witnesses that I've spoken to who have

seeing things and hearing things.

So I understand you can run a test to see if they're getting hallucinations

the altitude.

Yes.

The three test subjects will be breathing in and out of this altitude

We'll start them at 12 ,000 feet, and if they're handling it well, we'll move

them up to 17 ,000 feet.

This is your blood oxygen. This is your heart rate.

The first thing we'll test is motor skills.

Then

we'll test

their cognitive abilities.

Using flashcards, we'll see if they're able to select the word green.

Next, we'll see if they might be having hallucinations.

I'll present them with a mix of real people and mannequins.

I'll ask them how many humans they see.

All of them got it wrong.

Okay, so how'd these tests go?

Surprisingly, with motor skills, all three did well.

Okay, so what about the second test?

For the cognitive skills, two passed and one failed.

So what about that last perception test you did? Well, the perception, I was

surprised. All three failed. They couldn't tell the difference between the

humans and the mannequins.

All right, so is it possible from that last test you did that they're not

paranormal experiences and it is the altitude?

No. The altitude here is 7 ,000 feet. Okay. And two of the guys, they had to

to 22 ,000 feet for the changes to take place.

Wow, that's high.

Yes. So the tourists...

They think they're having paranormal experiences, but it might just be the

altitude. Yes. But people that have lived here and are acclimated, there's

way they're hallucinating.

No. Okay.

This alien thing goes all over town.

It's a bit unusual to have an alien thing running around,

either in people's dreams or in their day -to -day activities.

Telling them or showing them like this or that's going to happen.

This alien thing can change forms and people can see it in a bunch of

ways. Do you have any idea why it shows itself in different forms to different

people? For those who can see this thing, it would come through as

that's positive to that person.

I saw a lot of strange things on my two walks, but three really stood out.

First, the flat -looking shadow guy.

This man was super wrinkled, super, super thin, little kind of baby nose,

baby lips.

So the hair is a lot thinner. It's very wispy.

Next, I described a woman who's dressed like a bride tormenting someone on stage

at the theater.

On the stage is like one of the workers.

He was wearing a black shirt with short sleeves.

There's a female who's in a wedding dress.

She's on his back. Her legs are over both of his shoulders.

Describe her expression.

Her mouth like grew really big and she had like all these jagged, sharp teeth.

Like she was like.

Finally, I described the angry man in the theater turning himself into a huge

shadow.

There was a male.

I saw his hands like up in front of him like, whoa. And he sees this

huge shadow figure.

Definitely a male, you could tell.

Ridiculously broad shoulders because this guy is like really trying to

intimidate this living guy.

Amy, is this what you saw?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Now that Amy and I have completed our investigations,

We're ready to reveal our findings to each other and our clients for the first

time.

So Amy, I want you to meet Joshua. He works at the visitor center in town and

knows just about everybody here.

This is Nancy.

She owns and runs a local diner, and it's been in her family for over 30

right? Right, 30 years.

And this are the residents of Flagstaff.

Got too many to introduce you to, but you'll be hearing from some of them

the night.

Some people think that whatever's here is harmless, but others think it's

dangerous for everybody.

One thing everybody agrees on, the place is haunted.

They're looking forward to hearing what's here and what they can do about

they can remain safe.

So unless Amy's got some questions for you, she'll tell us about her walk.

Before I talk about the entire town, I want to go over the biggest things I got

at the different locations I went into.

The first building from the first night, I walked in and I actually encountered

a male.

He's extremely ADHD.

So this guy was like talking nonstop, moving around nonstop, fussing with

everything.

When he's doing that, often he does move objects.

Because of his energy, I got a really sharp headache.

And I'm curious if anybody up in that area has.

had that kind of experience as well with having sudden headaches.

And he also tries to interact with people often.

Because he's a very touchy -feely guy, I was curious if people had experience

feeling like they're being touched on the back, on the arm, padded, things

that.

Well, that first location you went to was the crystal shop in town.

I know everything was covered up when you were there, but I want to show you

what it looks like.

When it's not covered up.

Interesting.

So I want you to meet the owner.

It's Jessica. She's right there. Can you raise your hand, Jessica?

Hi. I want to talk about some stuff we spoke about in our interview.

So whenever I call on someone, just head to that table in the back with the

microphone.

Amy talked about the migraine.

Can you tell Amy about your migraine? I never get migraines, ever.

And right before you guys got here, for about two days.

I was getting these really sharp migraines that would basically hit me as

as I walked in the door, and then they started fading away when I left for the

day.

She mentioned things getting moved around. We have stuff flying off the

a weekly basis.

We've also had experiences where it just looks like somebody just swept

everything off of a shelf.

Jordan, can you do me a favor?

I'd like you to go up there. I want to talk about something.

Jordan works at the crystal shop, too.

Can you describe to Amy what happened when you were vacuuming and got tugged?

So I was vacuuming one night, and I went to pull it back, and it was like there

was resistance on the hose as if someone was holding it, so I couldn't vacuum.

And there was nothing that it caught on, nothing like that? Yeah, it was over a

wood floor, so it's not like it was getting stuck on carpet. There were no

in the tubing.

You think that's that guy?

Yeah.

Okay, so what else happened?

The next walk night, I started right here in the theater. It was like

completely engulfed by rage, and it was coming from this dead guy.

He's extremely intense.

He doesn't want to be disrespected or challenged in any way, shape, or form.

I didn't particularly care for him, and I felt like it was a possibility that

people would potentially...

Feel a sudden onset of panic back there.

Is Lisa out here?

So this is Lisa.

She used to work here. Do me a favor.

Just tell her about what you were feeling in the back that time.

My friend and I were here.

We were hanging out with the band backstage after the show. And we were

right between where the couches are and where the stage is.

Yeah. And I was like, we need to go now.

We need to leave now.

You described it as what, impending doom? Yeah.

And then as soon as we did leave, I didn't have that feeling anymore.

Does he do anything else?

Yeah.

Then I was suddenly inside the body of a male, a living person.

And whoever this guy is, the dead dude does not like him. And he comes in and

engulfs the entire room as like this huge black mass of a man trying to

intimidate this living male.

I did have a sketch done of being inside that living male's body and seeing what

he saw.

Hmm.

That's interesting.

So this is what he portrays himself as?

Yeah,

take a look at that, guys.

I have kind of cut chills all over my body right now.

Joshua, I mean, you know there's some stuff going on here. Does it surprise

Hi. So, Sue, when she talked about the shadows, you mentioned that to me. Do

mind describing it to Amy for her?

When I first started working here...

Every so often when I would walk from the back, I felt like up in the

I would see more of a shadowy mass not defined, and there was no interaction.

You didn't get a good feeling off of it, though?

No. That sound like him?

Yes.

Okay, so what's next?

Then I'm walking up the street.

And there's, like, a railing, so I just stopped and looked down. And there's,

like, all these men who are being mistreated.

And here's what that part of the walk looks like.

I don't like this.

There's a bunch of men down there, and they're in a lot of pain.

Damn, man, there's got to be at least ten of them.

So 10 dead laborers were mistreated around the 1870s. I think I have a

good idea who you saw.

Now, in 1876, Flagstaff began building a railway system, and there were quite a

Seven of the men were killed and three were maimed. It was so bad, the expert

Now, do you think those railway workers are who you might have seen?

Yeah.

What happened next?

So I went into the hotel.

Lots of dead people.

The first thing that I really noticed was hearing piano music, and it was

from upstairs.

So I went up the stairs, and then there was this dead guy there.

Then I saw some women, and they were all like chit -chatting.

Then I went downstairs into, I don't know, a restaurant or something.

There was a guy there who used to be a business manager, I think he kept

himself. And this would have been maybe in the 30s or 40s. He was super solid as

well. The living may see him. And he does get annoyed when people are not

the proper thing.

So, Amy, the place is called the Weatherford Hotel.

You mentioned that the dead guy might get annoyed with the living.

Now, I want you to meet Chelsea. She runs the place.

Chelsea, tell Amy about the bottle flying.

In the same area down in the gopher hole, I was shining a glass.

All of a sudden, another flute shot right in front of my face, hit the

the back bar, and shattered.

Another time, there is a shelf right above the bar. It's very flush.

There's no reason why anything would fall off of it, and the bottle is

tucked back towards the wall area, and it had fallen over, and it almost hit

server, which was there probably a minute before.

Oop.

See it? Uh -huh.

So the dead businessman, do you think that's the one that threw the bottle?

Yeah. That's the most active place I walked tonight.

Wow. The hotel.

Okay, so what's next?

So then I left, and I went to the diner. And there was only one dead guy that I

met. Very, very present.

Very solid.

I got that his name was something like Bill.

And I think he may have owned the business at some point.

She does tend to move things around.

So going through the deeds for your place, I found that your diner was the

Knowles Bakery from 1927 to 1970.

The guy who ran it from the 50s until it closed was Bob Knowles. Ah.

Now you said he moves things around.

Nancy, I want you to tell Amy about the sweeper. I was in the basement of the

diner and I...

I felt someone behind me sweeping the floor, and I could see the motion of it,

and I turned around to talk to them, and there was nobody there.

Have you seen any of the movements?

I've seen things. We've had things move.

It's impossible for you to be this formal guy that only plays Bob Knowles?

Yeah. It's his place.

You're cool with him staying, right?

I mean, because he really wants to stay.

Now I'm going to talk about things that kind of affect the entire town.

There are three things.

I'll start off with the dead woman. I called her the bride because she's

a wedding dress. And she was on both of my walks. And she does travel around.

But her favorite place is here.

The problem with her is that she can jump people.

That is not good because the person can lose control for seconds to minutes over

their body. And when she gets annoyed, she'll screw things up with electricity.

She's really good at that.

So we'll start with the electricity.

Susan, can you explain to Amy what's going on?

I would come in once every week and two very high up lights in our lighting

tracks would be on.

They're not lights that you can turn on with a switch.

And I would bring in my production guys, have them look at it, and no

explanation.

Now, Amy, you mentioned she could jump people.

Lisa, remember when we discussed about people not acting the way they should?

Yeah. Tell that to Amy. I have seen and experienced people doing things that I

would not think is in their character and very bad things.

Can I have one example?

Sure. I mean, I can give two.

and both have to do with people that I worked with stabbing other people.

So is that something that could be tied into her jumping people?

Yes, yes.

So this bride, does she do anything else?

She really likes it up here, and this is what I got.

So I'm getting that she causes a lot of problems with people on the stage.

She's very upset.

She doesn't want to go anywhere.

She likes it here.

She does a lot of bad things here.

She is climbing on their backs. I wonder if they feel literally a

weight on their shoulders all of a sudden, feeling like something really

slammed onto them.

And I had a sketch done of what I saw.

I want her to talk about what I consider a violent incident.

So this was about ten years ago, and I work here.

I was about six months pregnant.

Something pushed me from behind, and I kind of, like, slammed into one of the

high -top tables.

Okay. She did demonstrate on me.

I'm the lightweight, obviously, we know. Yeah. And she gave me a jolt.

What are you thinking?

It could be the woman.

So you said there were three things, right?

Yeah. So what's the second?

This is where it gets a little different, so I... Initially, I was

thing. This was never human, and it was not from this earth.

It's all over town.

It's been here for an extremely long time. On the first night, when I was in

basement of the shop, I saw it coming and going down there through the wall.

it kind of travels around town underground, I guess. It can show itself

people in different ways.

Didn't you tell me about a face?

Yeah, I was in the basement of the downtown diner, and in the corner of it,

saw a very gray, long, disheveled face. It had no body. It gave me a very

big sense of dread.

Here's the thing.

According to this thing, it's not trying to scare people.

It's trying to comfort them so it can give them information about the future.

I'm skeptical about it myself.

We've worked together more than 10 years now, and that's probably one of the

stranger things you've ever run into. Oh, yeah, yeah.

All right, so how would this affect regular people in town?

People would have really clear, you know, visions or hearing something

about a future event or something of that nature.

It's weird to me that you would say that the thing is giving us, like, glimpses

of the future because...

I've definitely had experiences where I've had a dream and it wasn't something

that happened to me in the past, but all of a sudden it became something that

came to fruition.

Oh. My concern was if it was, like, harming people in a way, but from what

you're saying, it wouldn't seem that way.

My name is Kimberly, and I'm a Flagstaff local.

Well, now I'm reevaluating.

All right, maybe he's not a bad guy.

You guys know this town is 7 ,000 feet up, and it's killing me.

I mean, I'm having a tough time here.

So I was actually reading about mountain climbers sometimes seeing apparitions

because they get disoriented from the low oxygen.

So I got three townspeople who've seen weird stuff to take an altitude test.

We showed them a mix of humans and mannequins and asked them to identify

real people.

All of them got it wrong.

We were simulating a much higher altitude.

So what the test proved is it's possible tourists are actually seeing things,

but it just doesn't explain what the locals are experiencing because they're

adjusted to the altitude.

That's interesting, though. I like that study. That's cool.

So, Amy, you mentioned this thing goes through walkways down in the basement.

you should know there's a series of tunnels that run underneath the city.

have been a lot of weird rumors about what happened in these tunnels.

But I spoke to a woman who directed a documentary on the tunnels.

Now, she set the record straight. They were built in the 1880s.

The smaller ones were used to steam heat for the businesses downtown.

Now, the larger ones were used as passageways between the buildings.

These tunnels are a big part of Flagstaff Law.

I wanted to go check them out myself, but most of them are now boarded up.

Interesting.

Now, you said there were three things that concern you in the town. We got the

bride. We got the thing. What else?

I'm definitely worried about this guy.

He was super present on the first walk in the basement

of the shop. I got that he was one of the original owners of this land or

The thing is, is that he still believes that this is his town.

I put him maybe in the mid -1800s.

I heard a name like Jack, and I got that he, I think, died from some kind of

disease.

Okay, so what you're saying is making me think about one of the original owners

of Jessica's property.

His name wasn't Jack, but it's close. His name was James Vale. Oh,

Now, Karen, a local professor, told me about this story.

He started off in Flagstaff as a bartender at a saloon where Jessica's

sits now.

Vail was a pretty smart businessman and wound up owning the bar a few years

later. In the 1880s, he bought the building and added a brothel.

This is a photo of what that looked like back then.

So Vail was making so much money, he started buying property all over town

he used for cattle ranching.

We're talking about 1 ,300 acres.

But in 1905, Vail suffered a life -changing accident in one of his

He was run over by a wagon and nearly lost his life.

Vail never recovered, and he was crippled and in terrible pain.

Apparently, it was too much for him.

And on April 3rd, 1906, Vail put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger.

Oh, damn.

Yeah.

How old was he when he died?

Vail was 45 years old when he killed himself.

Really? Yeah.

Could James Vail be this bad guy you saw? Yeah, I mean, I see a lot of the

So you said you were worried about this guy, but why?

Well, he goes all over.

When he was alive, one of the things that I saw him doing was actually eating

human heart.

When I went into the basement, I saw him again, and he likes to be alone down

there. And he'll get really pissed when people invade his space.

He can push people. The living would see him as a flat -looking

shadow -type figure.

When he's in this area, he likes to hang out down here, and he, like, plots and

plans. He's writing out names of people he hates, people he wants to do harm to.

That's what he does. He does that wide circle area, wide circle area.

And I think this might be one of the places.

Now, let's talk about the basement.

Everyone at Jessica's store hates the basement, hates it down there.

So, Jessica, do me a favor and describe the black shadow you saw in the

basement. So, I was walking, you know, from one end of the basement to the

other, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw, like, a big shadow that was kind

of, like, going by me.

This is Jordan, you remember, from before she works at the shop.

When I was downstairs in the basement, there was a big black shadow right

me. It didn't feel humanoid to me, but it was a very threatening feeling.

Yeah, every now and again whenever I go downstairs, which is pretty frequent,

sometimes I get a feeling of just, like, dread in my stomach or just, like,

something doesn't want me there.

Didn't you tell me your biggest fear was that something might follow you home?

Yeah, so I just get nervous that it would get, like, attached or something

that. Should she be worried?

This guy, yeah, he can go places. He tends to, like, fixate on people who are

prone to illnesses.

So I also had a sketch done of what I saw.

All around town?

Yeah, he likes to make people sick.

He definitely looks like some old mobile guy.

This reminds me of, like, kind of Scrooge. What does this guy want from

everybody in town? Everything he owns, he wants it back. I was actually seeing

these people, that he's writing down their names and going there, going

going to take them down, going to fuck them up. This makes me feel horrible.

I want to know my name's not on that paper.

And I want to know how can I be safe from being on that paper.

So I know everyone here is passionate about this city, and I can understand

Flagstaff is beautiful.

But after what we've heard tonight, there's clearly a problem.

So what's it going to take to make this place safe? For that, I'm going to turn

it over to Amy.

For the crystal shot, the first person I would really like to see moved on is

the ADHD guy. The best bet would be having a younger male medium, maybe in

early 20s, just so he can have a bond with that male. I think that would go

really smoothly.

Then we have this location with the angry male.

I believe that a motherly female type, who is a medium, would be

able to move him on.

As far as the laborers, honestly, they need some more time to kind of work out

their... I know it sucks because they are in a lot of pain, but they're not

completely aware that they're deceased.

So leave the 10 guys alone.

They're working through things.

All right, so any advice for the hotel?

Upstairs, what would be really great is maybe having a couple of mediums come

through and sit down with these various dead who want to talk because there's a

lot of dead there who would love to tell their stories.

A lot of them, once they do that, will automatically be able to move on.

All right, now what about the guy at Nancy's Diner?

He's good to go? Oh, he's awesome.

I mean, I like him.

He's a good guy.

So you don't have to do anything more? He doesn't want to leave, and you're

cool, so that's good.

Okay, now how about the things that are affecting the whole town?

As far as the thing goes, is that okay?

Personally, I'm still on the fence about the whole thing.

But it seems to be positive.

So let's just monitor the situation, but we'll leave him alone for now.

Okay. What about the bride?

With the bride, who's potentially a big problem, I would like to

get kind of brutal with her and bring in a female demonologist who's going to

exercise her.

So any particular location for that, though? Here. This is her favorite spot.

Now the shadow guy seems to be the biggest issue.

What are we going to do about him?

I want to have a male demonologist and a

shaman coming at him at the same time in the basement of the crystal place.

By going at him with both of these people, he will be contained and

This was a very unique case.

Steve and I have never investigated an entire town before.

But I was glad we were able to give the people of Flagstaff some good news.
