anything here.

It wants to take a child here.

I felt a visible finger touch my back.

We're dealing with a possession.

I'm sorry. I need to take a break.

This thing is pure evil. I think that many would refer to it as a demon.

Ooh, the dark is getting darker.

My name is Amy Allen.

I see dead people.

There is a skinwalker here.

I speak to dead people.

And they speak to me.

He wants to collect the women.

But there's only one way to know if my findings are real.

There. Stalking the life out of these people.

I rely on my partner.

This is the kind of case that would have haunted me. And I know every person,

every house has secrets.

It's my job to reveal them. But Steve and I never speak. We never communicate

during an investigation.

I'm out here in Oakland, Oregon. It's about an hour south of Eugene.

I got a call from a couple, Jamie and Scott. Now.

They say whatever's in their house is evil and is going after their kids.

We just want help so we can live a life where there's not this black cloud

hanging over us.

They seem like good people, and I'm hoping Amy and I can help them out.

I feel darkness in here.

It, like, literally hits you in the stomach, like this anger.

I think this is a living person who is experiencing this anger.

I feel like someone in here is being influenced.

Yeah, it's scaring me.

So, Jamie, I'm glad I'm here because when you and I spoke on the phone, it

didn't sound like things were good here.

No, they're not.

It's scary. It's uncomfortable.

Like, we just constantly feel on edge.

Now, who all lives in the house?

So, this is a picture.

Okay. Who we got here? So, this is Hunter. He is seven. My husband, Scott,

then our son, Braden, who is 16, and then Alex is in the front, and he is 12.

Okay. So, it's a big family.

Yes.

Okay, so Jamie, do me a favor and give me a list of what's going on. We are

hearing voices.

Things are moving on their own.

We're seeing dark shadow figures.

Sudden mood changes.

What kind of mood changes are we talking about?

It'll just be a regular day and we'll be fine. And then all of a sudden, my

husband or I will just get super angry.

It feels like I'm going to explode.

Now, are the kids being affected by the mood swings?

Our seven -year -old, Hunter.

He gets angry with his siblings and he will sometimes hit them.

And, like, sorry.

It's okay.

Hunter's my baby.

And to see him so angry and acting the way that he

acts and knowing that that's not him is really hard.

It's really hard.

Because he's a good kid.

And I can't do anything about it. I can't stop it.

It's got to be tough being a parent trying to be strong all the time.

It's hard.

Oof, I do not like it in here.

When I first walked in, what I saw was like a big

winged creature.

And I'm like, oh, no.

Can you describe this thing in any more detail?

It's big, and it had bat wings, and it had a long, thin neck, and it

just made me sick. It consists of evil.

So it's never been human or anything like that.

I feel like it's in the person, I think, this living person.

And it's making them angry and lash out.

Bad, because that would be some kind of possession.

All right, Jamie, so what's going on in here?

I feel like I'm constantly being watched by something.

Any place in particular worse than others?

Yeah, in the shower in the master bathroom.

I won't take a shower alone upstairs anymore. My husband has to be in the

bathroom. All right, so it's that bad.

Yeah. Anything else?

I have seen shadow figures all over the house. Do me a favor and describe what

you're seeing.

It's usually something that's dark.

Okay. And it moves very quickly.

Did you get a sense of, like, the size of it, the mass?

If I could compare it to anything, it would be compared to a child, maybe 9 or

10 years old.

It's scary.

Very uncomfortable.

I feel like I'm in this bed and I'm seeing somebody standing at the door.

But what they're seeing is this winged thing.

And then like being like, no, no, no, and looking again and they're gone.

What I'm seeing through this living person is them seeing this, you know,

illusion of whatever is standing at the door, also seeing it at the end of the

bed at some point.

So I feel like a living person here knows that this is a potential threat

to their life.

So what's going on in here?

Sometimes I will be up here on the bed and it will feel like someone has gotten

on the bed with me. So when this happens, what the hell goes through your

I get very scared and emotional.

I mean, that was scary to me too. It was very scary.

Anything else?

One night I was in here and I was awake and I felt what felt like someone had

taken their finger and ran it down my butt, like onto my leg.

What about your husband?

He wasn't here.

She was touched inappropriately. Yes, I was.

What'd you do when that happened? Did you jump up?

Yeah. I freaked out.

I got up and I went out of the room.

I don't blame you.

Okay, so anything else?

I have really vivid bad nightmares.

Can you give me a description of what these nightmares are like?

I am being raped or inappropriately touched by something evil.

Can you see what's doing this to you?

I feel like it's the...

big, dark, male presence that I don't think is human.

What do you think it wants?

I think it wants to kill me. I think it wants me dead.

This is no way to live.

I don't know how you're doing this.

Why don't you just pack up and get the hell out of here?

I wish it was that easy to just pack up a family of five and get out of here.

And this is our home.

So you want to stay and fight? Yes.

This is your home, not theirs? It is.

And this is my family.

I would be afraid to go to bed at night. Why? There's some kind of sexual

attacks on a living person here, and it's from the winged demon thing.

I feel the legs being held.

I think it's lashing out.

She's feeling larger hands, but maybe longer fingers.

Oh, I don't like it. I'm getting my call.

Very uncomfortable.

And I feel like this person's waking up being like, what the, and knowing,

like, you want to kill me. You know what I mean? You want to kill me.

So, Scott, I talked to your wife earlier.

Yeah. What she's describing is this place just crawling with paranormal

activity. I mean, do you agree with that?

I certainly do.

Okay, now, have you had experiences?

I have.

See, I was sitting on the couch, just kind of relaxing, and I just felt like

this large thump right in the back of the couch.

My first thought was, you know, one of the dogs ran into it or something.

Right. You know, I take a look back there.

There's nothing.

So this thing really, you felt it?

Absolutely. It moved me forward.

That was my first real experience, and that was kind of like, God, this is

So what else?

Well, a couple times I've seen this shadow figure. It's really fast, always

racing down this hallway down here.

So, Scott, can you describe the size of this thing, this shadow?

Well, it could have been the size of a child about yay high.

Okay. All right, so have you ever seen anything else like that?

Yes. It was about a week ago. I woke up in the middle of the night, and I see

this giant shadow thing.

If it was a person, it would be about six and a half feet tall. It was huge,

leaned over my wife.

I jump out of bed, you know, to get a better look. What's going on?

There's nothing there.

It's gone.

Now, do you think maybe you were dreaming this, or this is something that

actually saw? No, this is actually something I saw.

It was such darkness.

That, you know, light couldn't even penetrate. It was just dark, dark mass.

Man, I don't know.

It's just, it was evil.

I think that was the first time when I really felt helpless that something was,

you know, essentially, I don't know, harming, feeding, what it was doing to

wife, but I can't do anything about it. Yeah, you seem upset about it.

It's very upsetting.

Not being able to protect your family is the worst feeling in the world for a

man. It makes me feel utterly useless.

I've been in combat. I've been in law enforcement.

I've done things to protect others, but I can't do anything here.

My hands are tied. I have nothing.

I saw two freaking kids come in.

Then I really look, and I see, oh, it's only one kid.

This is a dead child, and it's a boy.

maybe three to five years old, light hair, old -fashioned clothing.

And the other one is a shadow figure that's like a child shadow figure.

So it does sing.

It's capable of doing things and physically interacting. So I'm wondering

like, living people feel this thing, you know, like jumping on

the sofa or sitting on the sofa, like hard neck.

to them so like crawling into the bed or jumping on you know the bed with them

living people in it

speaking with jamie and scott i met with their kids in the living room my

tv it turns on and off randomly another thing is that i hear voices

It wears me out. All of them are having bad experiences.

There's toys back there, and they're shuffling at night as I'm sleeping. I

up to go look at them, see what's in there. It freaks me out when there's

nothing, and my brother is asleep.

But what's got me most concerned is what that seven -year -old hunter is dealing

with. Once I was sitting down on the couch, and then I felt a visible finger

touch my back.

Okay.

Sometimes my tummy just hurts really bad.

There's some bad stuff he's got going on here.

If you could talk to whatever's here, what would you say to him?

I'd want to say to it that, can you please go away? Don't harm anyone. Don't

make sure this family falls apart.

I love them too much. Just please go away. Okay.

I do see the shadow child in here, big time.

And the other kid, the real dead child. That makes me concerned about

kid living here.

Because that means, you know, this shadow successfully killed the kid.

I believe that it wants to take a child here.

I think that it wants a child in this house, a living child, to come

with it. So that would entail killing that kid.

So I made all my usual calls when I got here, and I just heard back from a

genealogist. She told me she found something.

Turns out one of the first owners of Jamie and Scott's property suffered from

the second they set foot on the land.

Well, Jonathan, I appreciate you helping me out with this case. So who's this

family?

Well, the Maupin family were among some of the earliest European...

pioneers out here settling in Oregon. Okay. They were here by the mid -1800s,

and they managed to accumulate more than 1 ,000 acres of land here in Douglas

County. All right. So, Janice, when did things go bad for the Maupins?

Just about from the beginning.

Patriarch of the family, Garrett Maupin, was a farmer, but he seems to have had

a bit of a drinking problem. Okay. In 1866, he was driving his horse -run cart

with some bales of cotton.

He had his 11 -year -old son with him. Okay.

Overturned the cart.

Son was thrown free, but Garrett didn't do so well. The bales of cotton ended up

on top of him and suffocated to death.

What a miserable way to go.

He was only 44.

Who says he was intoxicated? I mean, what happened to the kid?

Well, Garrett's son, Captain, decided to follow in his father's footsteps, and

he became a farmer also.

And then in 1918, Captain and his wife, Minnie, bought the property that you're

actually investigating right now.

And this is a photo of Captain and Minnie on their wedding day.

All right, so did things go better for them?

Captain and Minnie were a hardworking farming couple, but eventually that kind

of work does catch up to you.

So Captain started having heart problems, spent the last two weeks of

bedridden, and he died on December 1, 1934 in the house. Okay.

And he was 79 years old when he died.

All right, so now he's dead. What about Minnie? Is she still alive?

She was still alive when Captain died, but within the next two years, she was

diagnosed with myocarditis.

That's a problem with the heart where the electrical impulses are starting to

fail and the heart begins beating irregularly. So she died June 3rd, 1936

house. Okay. And she was 67 at the time.

So this family coming from Europe trying to do the right thing and the American

dream and all, 1 ,000 acres of land and again on my client's property and

everything goes to hell.

I'm seeing this dead woman, very, very long hair.

She's thick, thin with a twisted face.

I think she grew up here, you know, she lived her whole life here.

I saw her as a young girl. She was having to bring water to her home or

farm. It was hard work. And I got that she had heart issues when she was alive.

Then she grows older.

Then she dies.

She is in a decomposing, kind of mummified state.

She's super powerful when it comes to harvesting electricity.

So the living may have issues with electrical stuff here. She does this

is angry.

She is upset because she turned into like her father as she aged. So she

became kind of a mean, bitchy woman.

So I just got a call from my old friend, Jeff Davis.

Now, he's worked with me on a lot of cases over the years. And he said he

the story of a love triangle that turned deadly.

Jeff, it's good to see you again. This love triangle, who's the players?

Well, the two guys were Alfred Kincaid and Samuel Brown.

Okay. Both of them were about 21 years old.

All right, so I've got to assume both these guys were in love with the same

woman. What do we know about her?

Well, not very much. She's just listed out as Miss Mattoon.

So what happened?

On August 13, 1894, Kincaid was working.

He was demolishing a house just down the block from where he lived. Okay. And in

the middle of this, Kincaid's younger brother came up to him and said, Hey,

Brown is at our house.

He wants to talk to you.

Okay. So Kincaid put his tools down.

and started walking over to his house to meet Brown.

But Brown was waiting for him. It was an ambush.

Brown pulled out a pistol and shot Kincaid in the chest.

I assume the shot kills him.

Yes.

All right, so I know this is a small town, but any idea where this happened?

It's not clear, but Oakland is a small town, less than a square mile, and in

1894 it was probably even much smaller, so probably within shouting distance of

your client's property.

All right, so can I assume they caught this kid?

Yes, and he stood trial, and in December of 1894, he was found guilty of murder

and sentenced to be executed by hanging.

Shortly before his execution, it was about 7 in the morning, they let him out

his cell to go eat breakfast, and the food was set up in the corridor outside

the cell block.

Okay. So they let him out, and a couple hours later, somebody finally said, hey.

He hasn't come back from breakfast yet. So they went into the corridor and found

that two of the bars had been sawed off the windows.

All right, so they go look for this kid at his home?

Yeah, and here's where it gets really weird. He vanished.

No record of him anywhere else ever.

Okay.

I see two men fighting.

They had a gun.

One male has very light brown hair.

He was very, very thin and I think short.

And I'd put their ages between 25 and 35.

They come into the room fighting. They fall on the floor again. So I'm like,

okay, apparently these dudes are like always fighting.

So I would think that the living might hear stuff rolling around on the floor,

which is them rolling around on the floor.

I heard the handgun go off.

One of them was murdered.

So far, I've got clients who believe the paranormal is tearing their family

apart on a property where a young man was ambushed and murdered.

But I'd like to see if there's anything else.

Searching through old records, I find a tragic story about a teenager who

murdered a 55 -year -old man.

Turns out this homicide happened less than a mile from Jamie and Scott's

property.

So I'm heading over to meet a historian who says this case still has locals

shaking their heads.

Doug, I appreciate you helping me out with this homicide.

Who was the victim?

Merrill Ormsby, 55 years old, who just recently moved to Oakland, and he lived

in a trailer just a few thousand yards away from the site that you're

investigating. What happened?

So on the night of April 10th, 1961, a couple boys had been in a science fair,

and they ended that and came over to Merrill's house and decided to throw

rocks and run a stick along the fence.

For what reason?

just kind of stirring things up a bit with him.

Merrill came out, chased him off, and he had a stick with him, and he beat one

of the kids, a 16 -year -old named Ernest Perry, and then he ran off,

with the rest of his friends.

All right, so now this kid's back with his friends. What happened next?

Well, they kind of gathered together at the church and decided that they were

going to go back to Merrill's and stir some things up again. So Ernest goes

to a mailbox, and he knocks the box off and grabs that 2x4 pole out of the

ground, and they start heading back to the trailer.

All right, so this doesn't sound like it's going to turn out good for this

What happened?

No, it really doesn't. So Merrill's ready for the kids, and he and Perry

square off.

Merrill has the club. Perry has the stick. Okay. And they go at it. There's

swing. Youth win.

Perry hits Merrill with the stick, fracturing his skull, and he falls to

ground like a sack of potatoes.

Is he dead at this point?

He's not dead at this point. He's out, but he ends up going to the hospital. He

dies about 5 in the morning.

That next day, he had a fractured skull, had a brain hemorrhage.

That's a real waste of life here.

Did they ever catch up with this kid?

They did. They ended up catching him. He went to jail for a minute, but the

grand jury ended up exonerating him.

Do we know why?

By all accounts, he was a good kid who had just made a horrible mistake.

This kid got away with murder.

I mean, he should have got some kind of manslaughter.

You know, something.

This winged demon has been messing with people in this area for a long time.

And now it's possessing a kid in this house.

It feels like this person's unbalanced and becoming more unbalanced.

What would that look like?

Somebody flipping the bat every once in a while, you know, being violent,

throwing things, punching things.

I don't feel this is a good situation.

I'm nervous about it. So it's almost like this person's blacking out and

when this rage comes out and when this thing comes out.

I think there's potential there for this child, teenager, to do harm

to others in this house, physically.

Yeah, I don't think I'd want to.

sleep in the same house.

I saw a lot of disturbing things on my walk, but two stood out.

First is this old, angry, dead woman.

She was probably in her 60s.

She had very deep crow's feet.

Her mouth needs to look more like a skull.

Next, I described the winged demon that's possessing the little boy.

This thing, it had these huge bat wings.

The eyes were big and black.

Amy, is this what you saw?

Yes, that's what I saw.

Now that Amy and I have completed our investigations, we're ready to reveal

findings to each other and our clients for the first time.

So guys, I'd like you to meet Amy.

She's going to be doing the reveal from a separate room, so if you can

concentrate and focus on your case as well as the dead without any

Amy, meet Jamie and Scott.

So they moved to their dream home a few years ago with their three sons.

From right to left, you got Brayden, who's 16.

You've got 12 -year -old Alex, and you've got a hunter who's seven.

Jamie believes that whatever's here is going after her kids and that all their

lives are literally in danger.

So unless Amy's got some questions for you, she'll describe her walk for us.

The first person I want to talk about is a dead woman.

I saw her in various stages of her life.

When she showed herself...

As a young girl, I saw her working very hard.

Her father was a mean man. He made her do excessive chores, and

she ended up kind of becoming her father later on. She did suffer from

heart issues, and that's what ended up killing her.

When she died, I believe she was in her 60s.

She can get very angry and she then can

harvest the electricity around her. So I would think that you would suffer from

various electrical issues here. Well, yeah.

Yeah.

Amy, when I spoke to Alex, he told me about his TV turning off and on all by

itself. Have you experienced any other kind of electrical stuff here? All the

time. Like what?

Lights flickering, the outlets will always reset, like pop and reset,

off and on. Yeah, that could be her.

So now the dead lady made me think of a previous owner I came across in

research. Her name was Minnie Maupin, and she grew up around here.

Her family was some of the first farmers that settled in this area in the 1800s.

Now, you said something about she didn't want to be mean like her father.

I don't know much about her father, but it turns out her father -in -law was a

real... piece of work. Garrett Morphin, he had a serious problem with booze.

This guy got into a drunken wreck while driving his horse -drawn cart, and he

ended up buried by the heavy bales of cotton and suffocated to death. Oh, wow.

Now, the guy was just 44 years old.

Now, Minnie and her husband bought this property back in 1918, and they farmed

the land for over 25 years.

Minnie's husband, Captain, Worked the farm morning to night his whole life. In

1934, his body gave out, and he died of a heart attack right here on the

property. He was 79 years old, but then there's many.

Now, not long after her husband died, she was diagnosed with myocarditis.

So when that happens, the electrical system in your heart goes haywire.

She passed away on the property at the age of 67.

This is her death certificate.

I did find a picture of Minnie, and she's here with her husband, Captain.

Now, I know it's a young photo, but is it possible that could be who you saw

knowing her background?

I had a sketch done of her when she's older.

You guys, take a look at that.

Wow.

I mean, they could be the same person. Absolutely.

Face shape. Mm -hmm.

The nose looks similar.

So it's possible that this could be mini -morphin you ran into?

Oh, yeah, I think so, yeah.

So how else did the walk go?

I went into the bedroom at the top of the stairs.

That's where the boys sleep.

And I saw initially what I thought were two kids holding hands, but when...

I really paid attention.

I saw that one of them was a legit, you know, dead kid, but the other one

was actually a shadow kid.

I was not comfortable with that.

Shadow kid does create a bit of a ruckus, and I was curious if...

The living were experiencing things on the walls, feeling somebody sit beside

them, somebody getting in the bed or jumping on the bed.

There's been numerous occasions where I have felt like something has sat behind

me on the bed or jumped on the end of the bed.

Okay. And there's never anything there.

Okay. Okay. Now, Scott was down here in the living room area when you were on

the couch.

Yes, I was on the couch in the living room area, and there's quite a large

shove, like, with some weight that hit the back of the couch, enough to move

I also think the living may see the shadow kid.

I see, like, a medium -sized shadow figure, which I thought was a kid.

I was coming down the stairs, and there was a little shadow figure, and it

always stayed in my periphery and would shoot down toward the garage down the

hallway.

I did get that the shadow figure, I believe, had an influence

on this real child's death.

And I know that it tricked this child to stay with him. I got that

the shadow child keeps this child with it so that

it might be able to entice.

And I do believe that it does have its sights set on

a child here.

I know that's going to be tough for you guys to hear.

It's like not what you want to hear as a parent.

No.

It makes me sad, but it also makes me really angry.

I feel so helpless.

Yeah.

Jamie, you know about Alex hearing voices calling him? Yeah.

Tell Amy what's going on with that.

On a few different occasions, Alex will hear someone calling for him, and no one

has called for him.

Yeah, this is not a good situation.

Brandon told us that in the middle of the night, he'll hear toys moving like

of the kids was going through it.

There's been times where Hunter will be in the living room sitting down and

something will push him from behind in the chair or poke him in the back.

Amy, any idea of which of Jamie and Scott's kids is now being targeted by

shadow kid? Oh, I think it's Alex.

Alex, that the shadow figure's going in? Yeah.

I can go in between being really mad and really sad.

You've got a lot going on so far.

in the house what else amy so i'm gonna talk about uh something that i'm

really worried about a big

it's affecting one of the kids first i believe it's making them sick. They're

suffering with stomach pains, having stomach issues. It's absolutely

them. And it's making this child feel very angry.

And I believe that there may be some behavioral issues right now where

this child might be exhibiting some violent tendencies like throwing things,

punching things.

Highly likely that we're dealing with a possession.

I also feel that there's a real possibility that this child might try to

some physical harm to others in the house.

He has really bad, angry outbursts, and he hits his siblings,

or he'll throw something.

And I've been saying for a while that I thought something was going on, and he

also has really bad, really bad stomach issues.

Now, Amy, do you think it's possible that this thing is possessing Hunter?

Yes, I do.

Now, is this creature thing only going after the kids?

I got that a living woman here was going through

some stuff.

What I felt was this woman feeling fingers or hands on her legs

and her legs being forced open.

I've been having nightmares of being raped, actually, that exact.

Exactly the way you explained it.

One night, it was about a week ago, I woke up in the middle of the night, and

look over, and there was a dark figure leaned over inches away from her

face.

I couldn't make out any features. It was just dark, and it just felt so evil.

But it just scares me that something's happened to my wife, and I can't stop

I'm really pissed off right now.

First thing to do is take care of this demon in the possession that's taking

place here.

I'd like a demonologist to come.

and do an exorcism of Hunter.

Hunter should be okay after that, correct?

Right.

The second thing that needs to be done right away is an exorcism of the

location.

So the exorcism of the house will get rid of this winged demon?

That should get rid of that, yeah.

The next thing that needs to be done is a psychic medium needs to come and move

Minnie on.

She just needs to go.

Then the fourth thing you need to do is deal with the shadow child.

Usually the shadow beings will stay at a particular location.

This one's very odd.

So I'd like for the people who come...

you know, the demonologist and the psychic medium, to come back later to

they could move the real child and the shadow being away and

on. Okay.

And then if they can't... Yeah, then it would be a move situation.

What are your thoughts on that?

At the end of the day, it is just a house.

And our kids are so much more important to us, obviously. Are you going to

execute what needs to be done?

Oh, yeah. Without a doubt.
