see something that we know is impossible, We usually try to

justify and come up with some kind of reasonable explanation.

Well, tonight, I predict that what you're about to see on this stage will

all explanation, no matter how hard you try. So don't give yourself a headache.

This illusionist is taking his performance to new heights.

Magicians performing for audiences dates all the way back to ancient Rome. And

some of the oldest tools magicians have used are smoke and mirrors, which

clearly this performer is a fan of. Here's Eric Buss.

It is awesome backstage at a magic show. There are so many cool things.

Who wants to take a tour backstage?

Yes, of course you do. So many cool things back there.

I can't take you on a backstage tour.

Sure. Of course you would. It's awesome back there. There's so many cool things.

I can't take you on a tour backstage.

But lucky for you, I was taking notes backstage. I wrote down all the cool

things that I saw backstage.

Magic wands. There's a ton of magic wands back there.

There's a top hat.

Because apparently there's an old dude here.

Sparkly balls. Those are in the men's dressing room.

Flowers. There's a tiger. Linking rings. Balloons. Rabbit.

Oh, there's so many cool things backstage.

I saw 25 awesome things. TJ, pick a number between 1 and 25.

My birthday day, 11. 11. All right, cool. 11. Let's see here.

7 is a tiger. Oh, 8 is in a big illusion. 9, fire.

Oh, that's a good one. The fog machine.

Now, had you picked a different number, different item.

But I knew that you were going to pick fog machine. I also knew everyone would

want a tour backstage.

I knew I couldn't give them a tour. I knew you would want a tour. I knew I

couldn't give you a tour. And I also knew you would be obsessed with the fog

machine. If I took you on a tour, you'd stare at it for an hour.

And I knew all this before the show.

I hung this envelope here. It has been in full view the entire time.

I took you on a backstage tour. You were obsessed with one thing. You were

obsessed with the fog machine.

The human eye can detect millions of shades of colors, but there are some we

just can't see.

Let's take a closer look with our next illusionist, Farrell Dillon.

So three people from the audience came up on stage to help me out with this.

Anytime I go to a new city, I go to hardware stores, I go to their paint

section, and I steal the free paint swatches that they keep on display.

I don't take, like, just any color, right? I only take names that don't

the color that they're intending to describe.

I'll show you guys what I mean. Look, I've got a bunch of these in here.

Let's see here.

Oh, this is a good one. This one right here is the color arsenic.

Let's see here. I'll show you guys one more. Yeah, this is a good one right

here. All right, I'm going to have you guess as to what color you think this

might be. I'll just tell you the name. This is the color Barney's blood.

What color do you think this would be?

Purple. That's what most people would say. No, it's red, okay?

Because blood is red.

That's what I mean. Look, I got a whole bunch of these, and I have three stools.

Please go stand in front of any one of the stools that you'd like.

Oh, you guys are all going to do it at one. Okay, that's fine. And you guys are

standing behind it, even though I clearly said in front. That's awesome.

You want to swap around at all?

You good? Yeah. All right, cool. Go ahead. Take a seat right there on your

stool. We're going to start down at this end. Hi, my name's Farrell. What's your

name? Jalen.

Jalen. Nice to meet you, Jalen.

Jalen, right here, I have a bag full of colors, but here's the thing. I don't

want you to be influenced by a color that you might like, so what I'd like

to do is either... Close your eyes or stare into my eyes, whichever you find

less creepy.

Wow, okay.

Guess I shouldn't have given options.

And then look, you're going to reach inside the bag. I want you to grab out

color. Don't show it to anybody else. This is for you and for you alone. Go

ahead, reach inside the bag, pull out any color you want.

Keep that closed in your fist. We're going to do the same thing with you. Hi,

name's Farrah. What's your name?

Hooray. All right.

I like that name. Hooray. You're going to do the same thing. Either stare into

my eyes or close your eyes. Whichever you find less creepy, reach inside the
