Fact or fantasy?

Did I really just... see that? That is the question you're probably going to

yourself as you watch and try to figure out what is real and what is just pure

illusion performed by masters of their craft.

Hey, everybody, good to see you. You've got to try this. This is the coolest

thing. Put your hand just like that, if you would, please. Very nice. And just

hold on to the bulb right about there. Very nice. Don't move. No, that's going

to be great. That's going to be great. This always makes me nervous.

I'm getting more nervous.

Let's do this.

This is awesome.

Okay.

What?

Okay. Okay.

Don't move.

I'm not going to move.

Oh, wow. Yeah.

That's pretty good.

I would call that electrifying.

That was awesome.

I've seen countless performances on this show, but there are a select few that

keep me up at night wondering how exactly did they do that?

This next illusion is one of them.

Without further ado, Eric Jones.

Oh, God, it's so good to be back here. You know, I want to show you guys

something interesting. I don't know if you knew this.

But magicians are really competitive people. So competitive, in fact, that we

even have a thing that we consider to be the Olympics of magic. It's called

FISM. It happens in a different city around the world every three years. And

what happens is magicians get together and we share our favorite pieces of

with one another, hoping to fool one another. Not just audiences like

yourselves, but magicians as well.

And something else you might not know is that magicians, kind of like musicians,

we have skills that we have to learn in order to become good or great.

The trick that I'm about to share with you is something that I plan to compete

with that I hope fools you as well as it has fooled some of my magician buddies.

It's a really easy trick. It requires only 16 cards.

I'm going to use the four aces, but also...

A bunch of court cards. I'll show you the four eighths.

You'll also notice that here in front of me, I've got these four little stands.

And what these stands are going to do is keep me honest so that you can make

sure that I'm not sneaking anything under the table. You'll notice that the

sleeves are rolled back. Now, a lot of magicians wouldn't tell you what they're

going to do before it happens. I'm going to explain everything as I go along.

The idea is that I'm going to place an eighth.

on each of these little podiums.

Last but not least, the ace of spades. I'll leave that off to the side, a

bit separated from all of the others.

The next thing I'll do is I'll take three of these court cards, three and

three, covering each of the aces.

Like I said, I'll explain it as I go along. You can't go wrong that way.

And what's going to happen is the aces are going to vanish from these packets

travel through space and time.

to arrive over there by the big bullet without you seeing it right under your

nose.

Now that you know what to expect, let's give it a shot.

I'll start with the first one.

Let's see, what do we have? We have the eighth of clubs.

I'll do it super slow.

The moment I blow.

I know it doesn't look like much, but one card has completely vanished.

I know, I know, I know. We'll do it again.

Now you know what to expect.

Lean in closer to your screen.

Watch really close.

The next one, let's see what we get. We end up with the eighth of heart.

This time what I'm going to do is I'll leave the card spread.

But the match will still happen under the cover of darkness.

Hi, my name is Farrell Dillon and this is? Trino.

And we are here with a couple of volunteers from the audience. You are?

Victoria. Victoria. And your name is? Stephanie. Stephanie.

Victoria.

Stephanie, Trino and I are fascinated with the advances that have been

in technology. In particular, there have been advances in technology for

teleportation. Teleportation is the ability for one object to travel from

place to another instantly and invisibly.

We want you to imagine there is a line down the center of this stage, and Trino

and I will not pass that line. In fact, we are going to try and stay as far away

from each other as we possibly can. What we are going to teleport today are

these $1 bills.

Victoria, I have a marker here. I am going to have you take this marker.

is going to do the same thing with his marker. He has a blue one.

And I'm going to have you write your name across.

George Washington's face. I almost forgot his name. So go ahead and please

your name or print your name across the bill for me.

Perfect. Victoria.

All right, well, hello, ladies and gentlemen. I'm here with someone in the

audience. What is your name? My name's Laureen. Laureen, pleasure to meet you.

Now, Laureen, being a magician doesn't exactly run in the family, but I would

consider my mom a magician in her own sense because she can take simple

ingredients from the fridge and then turn it into this luxurious meal.

Whenever you have a home -cooked meal, You really feel like a kid again.

And every time I travel for long periods of time, I really crave her dishes.

I have the recipe saved for her noodle soup.

Some secrets on here, Lorraine.

So I want to challenge myself by recreating it with what I have.

Brought some supplies.

We can use this cup.

Chopsticks, of course.

And I made some broth earlier, so this will do.

Nicely. In case things get a little messy, Lorraine, don't worry.

I have a napkin. And finally, the noodles.

The... The new... Okay, we can change tactics.

I think the recipe might just work for this.

Lorraine, I have my magic wand, too. Don't worry.

Bam.

Let me show you what this does.

this is how you make handmade noodles just like that very fresh we can hold

them all in here okay and this is going to be better than your average cup

noodles but you can see that everyone at home can see that now to top it off

with the broth learn we should

still heat this up just a little bit

Here is Jonathan Goody.

I'm working with two of the bravest and fiercest ladies in show business, and

I'm going to introduce them in a minute, but first I want to talk about this.

When I was four years old, I asked my parents for a crossbow for Christmas,

because my parents are smarter than a four -year -old, they said no.

I'm nothing if not persistent, and I asked them every year after that until I

was 16, and eventually they relented, and they bought me a crossbow and

My teacher had talked to me in riddles because he wanted me to earn his wisdom.

He would say, Jonathan, it's not what you hit, it's what you miss that really

counts. That never made sense, but he did manage to teach me a few things that

did, and I'd like to share them with you now.

The crossbow is really a perfect machine.

Its design hasn't changed very much in about a thousand years.

Please allow me to give you a point of reference.

That is a little over 200 miles an hour. Please welcome to the stage the one

A sheet of newspaper along the edge is a little bit less than a quarter of a

millimeter thick.

This is where it gets really tough.
