I'm Dean Cain and welcome to Masters of Illusion. Well tonight...

We are going to try and see if I can tell just what an illusion really is. I

watch our masters very closely, but they fool me every time. So I need your help

tonight. Are you guys ready to help me?

The brain can be turned in many ways.

Hmm.

Our illusionists tonight will find ways to turn your mind over many times. I

promise.

They come to us from South Korea, and I wish I could package their energy and

sell it. I would be very rich.

Here are husband and wife, Jackie, you, and Ellen.

This next performer is from the good old U .S. of A., but his talents have been

met with standing ovations across the globe.

He is an astounding magician with his own unique brand of magic.

Here is Dan Sperry.

So yeah, I'm Dan, and I do magic tricks, and this is, what's your name? Megan.

Megan, yeah, hi, I'm Dan, yeah, nice to meet you. So a picture out of the

audience, you're going to help me with something that involves a little bit of

danger. Right? Yeah. Get excited. It's going to be great. Yeah.

So, Megan, you're going to be the pick -a -card person. You know what that

means? I pick the card. Yeah. Look at you. Clever. Now, you can see they're

different. You know about cards and stuff, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, I'm

going to shuffle them. All you're going to do is you're going to reach in.

You're going to take one out.

You got it? Yeah.

Now, you're also going to take this marker. You're going to sign your name

draw a picture, whatever you want, on the face that's the side you look at.

Right? Go ahead. Nice and big.

Make it unique, special, one of a kind. And when you're done, you let me know.

I'm done. All right. I'll take the marker back.

And go ahead, show it to everybody in the audience and everybody at home.

Perfect. Okay, good. So you got it. We're going to just place it down about

the middle right there. I'm going to have you look at something else. I want

to examine this piece of flash paper. Just open it up. Make sure that's all it

is.

Right. Nothing weird on there or anything?

No. No, it's just... Yeah, well, it's actually a note. Yeah, it says, Dan, I

broke up with you over two months ago. Stop calling me, Brenda. I know. Sorry,

Brenda.

It happens. Yes. Oh, I'm fine. It was it was my choice.

Yeah, we drifted apart I'm gonna wrap the deck with the flash paper make like

little packet I'm not gonna find the card you are gonna find the card and

gonna do it using this Blade, so I want you to take that hold it still. Oh,

yeah. See I knew this was gonna be bad idea And what you're gonna do is you're

gonna hold it like this Right.

Don't start twisting it around. Don't start jabbing or anything like that,

right? You're going to hold it firm right there. You're going to take the

that blade, and you're going to find a spot.

And once you've found a spot, you let me know, because I'm going to slide the

deck onto the blade.

You're not going to do any of that.

Right? We're good?

Okay. So, yeah, you just hold it. You hold it.

And you find a spot, wherever you like, that you're happy with there. So I'm

going to push it onto the deck. Good, you can let go now. We're good.

So what has happened now is Megan has found a spot anywhere in the deck with

card, hopefully.

In between, like the sandwich of the cards with the blade. I'm going to take

this lighter, I'm going to hand it to you. And don't move, because I'm just

going to touch the paper to the blade. And when that happens, you should be

with just one card actually impaled on the blade. That king of hearts, is that

yours?

It is.

Magic show.

You can take these out. Oh, don't worry, it's totally fine.

Everybody make it.

Okay, let's drop in on our audience camera for the very remarkable talents

Trig Watson.

So I want to show you all a little magician life hack.

I'm going to clean someone's phone. Anybody, raise your hand if you have a

on you. You have a phone, you have a phone, you have a phone. Yeah, pull out

your phone for me if you don't mind.

You're nearby.

Great, awesome. Just open it up. Go to the home screen so that we can see it.

That's nice. When was the last time you cleaned your phone?

Never. Never.

Oh, well, this is good. This is screen cleaner.

I recommend, you know, good for hygiene.

Here, hold on to that for me for a second. You just want to give it a

of a circular action like that.

Nice.

Good. All right, now I'm just going to find the soft spot. I'm going to give

a little bit of an extra upgrade, ultimate screen clean here. I'm going to

it from the inside out. I'll show you what I mean. I just need to find the

spot in the phone, which is right about there, I think. I'm just going to see if

I can just pull it through.

I'm looking for a gentleman who has experience with ropes.

on the third row in the blazer. Yeah, you're looking quite nervous.

What's your name, sir?

David. David, could you make your way to the stage? Ladies and gentlemen, let's

give David a big round of applause.

Welcome to my stage, David.

Now, before we begin, David, I would like you to meet Mike.

Now, Mike is my friend, and he is terribly loyal.

I understand he may not look very big, but he is very strong. Good boy.

So, for your own safety, keep your hands where Mike can see them at all times.

I'd like you to tie two very tight knots around my wrist.

That's it. One.

Perfect. And another one. You're doing great, David.

Fabulous. Now Mike is going to pass you this rope.

And whilst Mike ties a third knot, I'd like you to find the middle part of that

rope. Happy? Yeah. Now place the rope over the back of my head.

That's it. And again, tie two tight knots.

Okay. David, you're rather confident with these ropes.

Are you married, David? I am.

Is she in the audience?

She is, right over there. Oh, she's waving.

Now, David.

Taking your side of the rope, Mike's going to take the other.

And follow Mike's lead. So tying two knots.

That's it.

One. And now bring it forward.

And another one.

Wonderful.

Great.

And now tying two knots around my waist.

So nice and tight.

That's it. Eyes on the knots, David.

Yeah.
