Tonight's mission is to make you doubt yourself.

Well, will the obvious be hidden by tonight's Masters of Illusion?

I promise you it will.

Our next performer brings the world of voodoo to our stage.

To say that he is different, that's an understatement. Here is Dan Sperry.

I do need the assistance of somebody to come up on stage to help make sure

everything I'm doing is exactly what I say it is. Who are you? You're in the

front row. You're convenient.

Because what we do right now is perform our own voodoo magic ritual ceremony.

And your job is very important. You're going to be someone from the audience to

Yeah, good. Now, since you are under the voodoo tracks, you shouldn't feel

anything. But what we're going to do right now is recreate those same rituals

that I just described by making our own sort of metaphorical human voodoo doll.

So, yeah, don't tense up too much. You can relax, but don't make a tight fist

because that's what makes the blood squirt everywhere. That's a mess. That's

good. That's number one. Number two. Now, with your left hand, your left arm.

Perfect. Move that back.

Number two.

Doing great. Again, yeah, just relax. Perfect.

That's number two.

Now, as I said before as well, you are here to make sure everything I'm doing

what I say it is.

So I'm going to take the blindfold off right now momentarily.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's going to get weird. It's going to get weird. So when I do that, I want you

to take a little peek at each of your arms and verify yes or no.

Do those needles appear to be going through your skin?

Look at it.

Yep, okay, that's a yes. She's definitely under, definitely under the

trend, because that was an amazing reaction.

Now we're going to let everybody else have a look as well. We're going to

with just your left arm, just your left shoulder.

Rotate it open like this, so everybody can actually see it going through her

That's where we introduce the ceremonial, very stereotypical voodoo

legend has it, now anything that happens to the doll should happen to you. I'm

going to have you hold him just like that for a moment. I have to ask you

something. Are you ticklish?

Yes. Good.

Because that's why we're going to use this feather and the bottom of the

feet. I'm going to simply tickle the bottom of the doll's feet and yes or no.

Sometimes that happens.

So we need to move to a different area on the doll.

And instead of the feather, we're going to go back to the needles. We had better

luck with that. So we're going to use this much bigger, much larger needle.

So now when this makes contact with the backside of the doll, all you have to do

is let us know if you feel anything.

Anything at all when this makes contact.
