Our masters of illusion will not hide their talents tonight. We always get a

of requests for a magician to saw a lady in half.

Sometimes you just can't believe what you see. Our next performer dares you to

trust him.

as he proves the impossible is actually impossible.

Now, magicians have a terrible habit of collecting a bunch of crap that we never

use. This is a trick using all of it.

It starts with this.

I know, it's pretty cool.

I never used it before, but it really did the job.

Let's see got this thing and oh this is pretty cool watch I Know it's like 1909.

It's awesome We've got this box now normally when I travel with this thing

people say oh, I'm sorry for your loss Because hey look you guys are sick

this box. It's actually got a pair of dice There's one on this side and one

here now the idea is to take the dice out of the box then have it fly

from the hat back into the box with its partner. So you put one in there, the

other one's in here.

Watch. From the hat to the box.

Boom!

It worked.

Now the hard part is making it fly back from the box to the hat. So watch.

Boom! Into the hat.

So half of you aren't buying any of this. The other half of you are clearly

nuts.

So look, I'll prove it to you all that the dice actually vanishes from the hat

and reappears in the box. Boom, there it is. Now I've got a dice on this side

and a die on this side.

Okay, fine. Look, look, you're not clapping for it, but these people are.

watch. Look, the one over here and one.

Over here.

Oh, so you want to see both open at once.

I understand. Look.

One die from the hat to the box. See, now I've got two dice inside the box.

That's a pair of dice.

But the only thing better than making one dice disappear from the hat is

two dice disappear from the box.

And now inside the hat, we've got not one, but two dice.

Okay, let's go to the audience camera now and watch the skills of Jason Bird.

Thank you very much. I have something very, very special to show you.

It involves two props that they were giving away at the Denny's this morning.

Yeah.

Well, it's salt and pepper shakers, but for right now, they're not salt and

pepper. Okay?

These are salt.

All right? So first, I want you to make sure that this is real salt. Go ahead

and put your hand out.

There you go. Go ahead and just give that a little taste if you want. Make

that's real salt. Is that real salt? Yes. Okay. You can throw that away. All

right. Now, real pepper.

Make sure that's real pepper.

Be careful with that one.

You can smell it. You don't have to taste that one. It's real pepper. Okay,

ahead. You can drop that. Now, as I said, these are going to be thoughts.

So the thoughts are the good thoughts. So put your hand out for me like this,

okay? So we'll start with good thoughts, all right?

We'll put all the good thoughts in your hand like that.

All right?

And now, as is life, it's not always just good thoughts.

There are some bad thoughts, all right?

So let's say somebody cut you off in traffic.

Ooh, that's a bad one, right? Or I don't know how I'm going to pay rent. That

goes in there. Look at that.

All right. So that you have good and bad thoughts all mixed up inside of there.

Just like that. Now I'm going to mix that up like that.

So good thoughts and bad thoughts. Now, bring this hand up here like this and

just put it right down on top. Go ahead and take that hand. Yep. And bring it

right there. Perfect. All right. Now.

What I'm going to try to do is I'm going to try to reach in there and pluck out

all the bad thoughts. Because that's really what magic can do is it can make

forget about all your problems, right? So I'm going to try that right now. I'm

going to reach in there and I'm going to pluck out all of the bad thoughts using

magic.

I want you to go ahead and lift your hand up.

And see that all of the bad thoughts are gone because I love

them.

And that teaches you that you have to be very careful with your thoughts. Thank

I want to show you the very first magic trick I ever learned, but I need to

borrow a guy for this. I need a guy. You, sir, right here. What's your name?

Kurt. Kurt, come on, join me. Give a round of applause for Kurt as he joins

All right, Kurt. Stand right there. Kurt, I got a little something I want to

show you. This is the very first magic trick I ever learned. You know what that

is right there? A red ball. A red ball, exactly. You want to feel it? Just for a

second, okay?

That's enough of that. Now watch very close. We're going to take this red

tear it in half like that. You take the two halves, you shake them together.

Boom, you have two balls.

We're going to take that a step further, make it a little bit more impossible.

You see I had one in my hand, one in your hand. I want you to hold both your

hands up.

Turn and face me if you don't mind. Curtis, I'm going to get you to squeeze

ball in either hand, get a really good firm grip.

I'll keep my fingers again.

What we're going to do is try to make this ball vanish and appear over here on

number. Do you have a favorite number that we can use?

Eleven. Eleven. We're going to do this on the count of eleven. One, two, three,

four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven. That's a lot of numbers. Is

still there?

Okay, let's try it again. Squeeze.

Let's shorten it a little bit.

One, two, three. We're going to get gray up here if we keep counting 11.

Let's see. Have a look. It's still there. We'll try it one more time. One,

three. Still there.

Try it one last time. Squeeze.

One, two, three. Open your hand.

The crazy thing is, I need you to help me with it. Left hand goes like this.

Right hand over. Little magic wiggle fingers.

Open your hands up slowly.

Curtis now has three red.

We're going to take these red balls. I'm going to take one, put it inside of my

pocket like this. We're going to take one, put it inside of my hand, and one

inside of my pocket. How many inside of my hand, Chris?

One. Let's try it again. If I got three, I'm going to take one, put that inside

of my pocket. We're going to take one, put it inside of my hand, one in my

pocket. How many inside of my hand? One. Let's try it one last time here. If

I've got three, I'm going to take one, put that inside of my pocket like this,

one inside of the hand, one inside of the pocket. How many inside of the hand?

Three. Oh, you're good.

So that was the very first trick I ever learned. But I like to spice things up

as I get older. So I got a little something for you, and I think you're

nations on the planet.

And if I was to ask you all to name a sport, the chances are you would name

same type of sport.

But to make this completely random, I've created a list.

of 100 things to do with sports in no particular order. So we need a number

selected. The way we're going to do that is I'd like you to choose a number

between 0 and 9, and I'd like you to choose a number between 0 and 9. And

we're going to put them together, and we're going to create our random number

like that. Is that okay? What's your number?

Seven. Seven. And your number? Two.

Two. So put them together, ladies first. So 72.

You're happy with that? Okay.
