Well, this portrait of a lawyer or a
scientist or maybe a teacher is composed

the many cards in a deck.

You can discover it only when you look
closely.

But watch our illusionists closely
tonight because maybe they have multiple

meanings. This performer has an unusual
partner to help him deliver a mystery

with a twist.

Welcome, Michael Grandinetti.

Thank you so much. I want to show you
something pretty unusual.

But to do that, I need to find one of
you to help me out. Who wants to come up

here and give me a hand?

Would you come up here?

Yeah? Give her a hand if she comes up

How are you?

Nice to be coming up here. You having

people pick cards.

Taylor, I'm not going to have you do

I'm going to hold these cards up to you,
and I just want you to think of one. I

won't look.

You got it? Remember, she could have
thought of any of these cards.

Now, here comes the interesting part.

Obviously, we have to figure out what
that card is.

But I am not going to read your mind.

I have an apprentice who's going to read
her mind.

It's him.

This is Tom. He's our pet mouse.

Now, believe it or not, he is a mind
-reading mouse.

You buying any of this?

You're not sure?

I'll tell you what.

Make eye contact with Tom and send him

have here are not anything lethal. I

have here soda cans. Have you ever been
carrying a bunch of... So does, and then

you accidentally drop one, and now you
know that that's the dangerous one.

That's like a time bomb waiting to go
off. So here's what's going to happen.

are going to pick up any one of those
things you like. You're going to shake

up. You're going to put it back down,
okay? So I'm going to turn it face away.

these cans that you'd like.

I'm going to put my face over it, and
you're going to open it in my face. And

I'm betting that you will not pick the
can that you shook.

All right? That this time bomb will not
go off. So point to any can that you'd

like, and I'm going to do something here
to try to influence your choice.

Pick any can you'd like.

Is it a bluff? Is it a double bluff? We
don't know. Excellent. So here's what's

going to happen. Go ahead and open that
up in my face for me, please.

That is absolutely fine. Would you like
a cooler?

you like this time. No mind tricks.

Ashley. Actually, we're going to do
something a little bit weird, a little

strange. Is that all right with you?

Okay, that's fine.

Actually, over here, I'll give this to
you. Do you know what that is?

It's a kumquat. We'll get straight to
it. It's a very thick -looking kumquat.

Take a look at that kumquat. Can you
confirm that that is indeed a real

It is, because you're going to be like
the eyes for the audience.

Inside that kumquat, there's a bunch of
needles.

I want you to just examine those
needles. Can you make sure those needles

indeed very real? They are? Great. Now,
Ashley, I want you to take out any

needle you like, okay?

And I want you to make sure that that
needle you chose is quite sharp.

Is it sharp?

Yeah. Yeah? Did you want to test it on
anyone out there?

No? Okay.

I'll take the kumquat. I don't want you
to hurt yourself.

And actually, you've got the needle, and
I've got a piece of string here, okay?

This is going to get a little bit
strange, a little bit weird.

Kids, young folks, do not do this at
home, because the needle she chose is

to go right here.

Ashley, do you mind getting that bottle
for me? Can you open up that bottle?

And, uh, yeah, you opened it up.

You need to wash it down with a bit of

we're going to do this in midair. This

There goes six years of my life. All
right.

What you're about to see will challenge

Here is Eric Jones.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My
name is Eric Jones, and the type of

that I perform uses ten fingers and a
bit of cleverness. I'll show you what I

mean. These are three solid silver
American half dollars from the turn of

last century.

The idea is really simple.

One at a time, you'll see the three
coins as they fly.

from the fingertips here to the
fingertips here, but hopefully without

seeing it go. Now, maybe that went a
little too fast. Maybe you didn't know

to look for.

So I'll put this one down, that way you
can see it again, and I'll even tell you

where to watch.

All you have to do is keep your eye on
this little guy, because you know

where the coin is. You also know where
the coin's going to go.

I'll do it in slow motion, so you can
see the moment.

The second, the very instant the next
coin passes from your left,

You're right.

Now, I'll be honest with you. This one
travels in really weird ways.

For instance, on a good day, I can get
this little guy to go up the arm.

On a really good day, I can get it to
roll down the fingers.

And on an exceptional day, I can get a
coin like this to jump from the

fingertips here to the fingertips here
to here and back.

And that's the trick with one, two, and
three pieces of silver.

Now, keep your eyes on the top one.

What?

I'll do it again. I'll do it again. With
this little guy right about there.

And now, I'd like to leave a tale from
the past.

Many, many years ago, I was invited to
perform in India for a guru.

He asked me to perform at his birthday
celebration, a lavish event where there

were to be many invited, and I was to be
in Bolavkuri, India, for three days in

preparation for the big event.

But one day I decided to leave the
ashram palace and head into the city. It

there where I discovered these street
performers.

Some ate fire, and others just had spicy
food.

But the most unbelievable stunt that I
witnessed that warm summer day was

performed with this this simple Indian
ink pen

Then I decided to take a walk further
down the road in search of something

real, and it was there where I met a man
named Toulouse.

He was a fakir.

He began twisting and turning and
turning and twisting.

He began to work on this tiny Rubik's
Cube. Toulouse attempted to solve the

cube, but there was no conclusion, and
then he did the impossible.

What you're about to see will challenge
your beliefs and defy all explanations.
