Well, I have some very exciting plans for somebody here in the audience

but I need a brave soul.

You. Hi, my name's Beryl. What's your name? Nicole. Nicole, would you join me

Yes, those are solid steel spikes. Make sure that they are, in fact, solid

into the box below. Please take a look at them. Touch them. Make sure that they

are, in fact, solid.

I'm just kidding. No, I just wanted to scream in your face. Sorry about that.

Come here. Come here. Please, touch the steel spike. Make sure it is solid

steel, yes?

Great.

You're going to stand right there. In a moment, I'm going to have you sit on top

of this surgical table. This is a surgical table from the 1800s. Please,

right there.

I want you to take your feet. Turn them towards me.

Perfect, and then scoot a little bit closer to the edge of the table. Thank

very much. You're going to lay your head back, but as you do, I'm going to place

this behind your head for your comfort. Please, lay back.

All right, Nicole, please cross your arms in front of your chest like this.

Now, this is actually a surgical table from the 1800s. It is made for a

procedure called bloodletting.

I'm going to lock this up just in case you try to escape. Sometimes that

happens. Here we go.

Now, Nicole, in a moment, I'm going to be pushing those spikes from the box

below you up through your body. Don't worry. It won't hurt much. People used

do this for fun.

Do me a favor. Relax, okay? You're going to be very safe. Close your eyes and

No. Breathe in one more time.

Breathe out.

Nicole, keep your eyes closed. There is now 20 spikes passing through your body.

they're going to work together.

So Coyne goes in the middle of Hank and instantly vanishes.

My left sleeve, just like that. But that's not the amazing part. The amazing

part is where the bottle comes from. That's usually the amazing part.

So I'm going to need a volunteer for this.

Go ahead and check out the bottle. Make sure that it is what I say it is,

completely solid, normal bottle. Now, you notice there's something missing on

the bottle, okay?

Do you know what that is? The cap. The cap. That's very right. Go ahead and

the bottle cap. I want you to go ahead and put it inside the bottle for me.

You got it perfect, okay?

Just like that.

You see that there's no other way in or out, right? It's completely solid on

bottom and on top. That's going to be very important, just like that.

Okay? Now, what I want you to do is go ahead and put your hand over the bottle,

just like this, okay?

Now, it can't go through anywhere else. Watch.

Guys, thank you so much for coming to hang out with me. I want to show you

One of my favorite illusions with this ordinary deck of playing cards that you

can get from just about any store on the planet. I have made a little

preparation. I've taken the liberty of placing the four kings on top of the

pack. We're going to leave these here on the pad. We'll leave them out of my

touch for just a moment.

What's your name, bro? CJ. CJ. Good to meet you. I'm Eric. CJ, here's what's

going to happen. I'm going to pass through the cards like this, CJ.

Anytime you get the notion, I want you to say the word stop. Wherever you say

stop. That'll be your card. I don't care. All right. Perfect.

Stop.

Stop. Excellent.

I'm sorry. I'm just screwing with you.

Please, go through all the cards.

You can see that they are all, in fact, different. Take out any card that you

want. It doesn't make a difference if I see it. It's not that kind of trick.

The Joker.

How'd I know?

How'd I know? So, are you happy with that one? Because you can change your

We've got the joker and we've got the four kings. All you have to do, guys, is

keep your eyes not only on the two black kings, but on your joker. We're going

to leave these three cards here for just a moment.

I'm going to take the two red ones and put them into your hand. You don't mind

if I place one hand on top? That way they don't get away from me at all. All

right. All you have to do is keep your eyes on that joker and watch as that

joker passes from here to there.

What?

What?

Do me a favor. And you should notice that right between the two red kings,

there's a face -down card.

Would you mind turning that card over and show everyone in the audience?

Now, I'm going to give you an option. I'm going to give you an option that you

can make the decision for the room. Sir, which do you prefer, the black king or

the red king? It's completely up to you which you prefer, the black king or the

red king.

Good for you.

I'm going to leave the red ones over here. I'll leave the black ones here.

I'm going to pass you the cards just like I did before. And any time you get

notion, you say the word stop, wherever you say stop, that's where that joker is

going to go. Sound good?

I'm going to take that joker and place it about halfway down from the top of

pack. I don't know exactly where it is, but I know roughly about the spot, more

or less.

With that joker somewhere in the middle of the pack, all you need to do is keep

your eyes on the two black things. If I give them a little shake, you might see

the moment. One card appears in between. Now, it's not the king of clubs, not

the king of spades. I'm hoping with a little luck that maybe.

Just maybe.

It's your joker.

What would happen if we used the red thing?

Just say stop one more time as we go through.

Are you happy there?

Perfect. We're going to take that joker once more.

And you see that it really is right in the middle of the pack. I've got no idea

where it is, even though I know roughly about where.
