Hello, everybody. I'm Gene Payne, and welcome to Masters of Illusion. Prepare

be amazed. We are going to astound you with some of the best magicians in the

world. Are you ready?

Yes!

First impressions have the most impact.

What do we have here? A cat?

Or a mouse?

What did you see?

Our illusionists tonight will test your first impressions. Can they force your

brain to see what they want? Now it's time to experience a web of danger and

always astonishing Jonathan Pendragon.

Direct from Las Vegas, where he headlines at his own theater, here is

amazing Tommy Wind.

Right now, we're going to all try something together as one big happy

you're at home watching, you're going to use your flat screen TV, and our live

audience uses large screens to the left and to the right.

I'm going to use my smartphone as a virtual magic wand.

Everything I do here, you can arrange it so you see it here or there. In a

moment, you're going to see 12 bubbles. Each bubble contains the name of a

famous magician, past or present.

Here's what's going to happen tonight.

In a few moments, I'm going to have all of you point your finger at that start

button in the top right corner and move around from magician to magician.

I'm going to try and figure out which magician you're pointing at.

To make it even more impossible, I'm going to leave stage while you do this.

Now, as you can see, there's a lot of different possibilities.

Beginning in the top center, we have Harry Blackstone Jr., Lance Burton, Penn

Teller, and so on.

Right now, I'd like all of you to think of a secret number between 5 and 15.

Any number between 5 and 15. It's up to you.

Obviously, I have no idea which number you're thinking of. In a moment, I'm

going to have you use your finger, move around that same amount of times. For

example. Your secret number was nine.

Move around nine times, beginning on that glowing start.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Then you'd be on Siegfried

and Roy.

As you can see, there's a lot of different possibilities.

But right now, the next few moments will mean nothing to you unless you all

participate. So please, take your finger, point it at that start button.

you go. I'm going to let our virtual magician take over, and I'll see you in

few. Get ready to move the amount equal to your secret number.

Move as I count. Ready?

One, two, three, four, five, and so on.

When you reach your secret number, stop and keep your finger there.

Good.

Now get ready to move in the other direction. The same number you just

Keep your finger pointed at your location.

Remember, you chose your own secret number. And move randomly around the

as you saw fit.

Our friends from Scotland always astonish us with their unique way of

fun. Please do not try this at home. Here are Barry and Stuart.

Sometimes finding out the secret is the best bit, which is why we want to show

you one of our coolest tricks. Then we want to tell you the even cooler secret.

For this trick, you need the sexiest of all the silverware that is.

The spoon.

You take the spoon, balance it on the end of your nose, take your hands away,

and keep the spoon balanced on there. Now, this sounds like it's really easy,

but actually it's quite difficult. I'm going to ask the lady right here, don't

you just give it a try?

Try and balance it on your nose right there.

There is this one rule, you're not allowed to use any sticky stuff, so no

at all. It's tough, right? It is difficult.

I need to give you something.

Let me give you one of these.

This is a surgical glove.

You don't have an allergy to latex, do you? No, that's good. This is a latex

-free glove, and it wouldn't matter what you said. There's no getting out of

this one. You have to wear that anyway.

Put that on either one of your hands. Give me back the spoon.

The other thing that you need to do this is a magic cloth. The idea of this is

that I'm going to hold the cloth up in front of Barry's face, say the magic

word, hashtag amazeballs, and the spoon has now balanced itself on

Barry's face.

He can turn his head side to side.

He can even vibrate his peanut small head, and the spoon will not fall.

Now, we promised to tell you how this works, and here's the secret.

In the back of your tablecloth, you put in there two secret pockets like this.

In this pocket here, there's a spoon. That's the spoon that you check.

If this spoon was switched for a spoon in the other pocket, that's the one on

Barry's face.

Now, I said you weren't allowed to... You can put that glove on, by the way.

don't have to stand there awkwardly holding it.

Thank you. I said that you weren't allowed to use any sticky stuff to do

but I just lied, because we used some glue to glue into the spoon a five -and

-half -inch nail, which is what's holding the spoon onto Barry's nose.

And you can see right there the end of the nail as it's poking into his skull.

Now, there is just one drawback to our cool trick, and that is pulling the

off. That's really painful. That looks exactly like this.

As you can see, that really is a sharp metal nail

coming out of Barry's face there.

And that's how you keep a spoon on your nose.

What's wrong with someone in the audience wearing a rubber glove?

Ah, lady right there. Reach up, the hand with the glove on, touch that nail.

It's a solid nail. It doesn't bend, it doesn't clap. That is made 100 % metal.
