Now, besides being a master illusionist,
I'm also a master martial artist. I've

trained since I was 11 years old. In

I want you to grab on.

Okay. Now, this is very important. Now,
you hold it like that. I want you to

place this inside here.

Okay, but don't touch the bottom. Have
it positioned mid -air. Okay?

Hello, hello. We're going to do a little
of that booty that you do.

And we're going to ask you to sit a bit.
If you two ladies would be so kind as

to join me on stage, please give them a
round of applause.

And if you'd be so kind, a little seat
here, a little seat here.

Do either one of you know what a voodoo
doll is? Yes.

And can either one of you explain the
idea or concept behind a voodoo doll?

You do things to it and it's supposed to
happen to the other person.

Right. In theory, what you do to the
doll happens to the person.

We're going to demonstrate that here
today.

And I'm going to have you help out. And
if you would just reach in and grab one.

And take a look at that. You can show it
to them if you like. You may.

And I want you to hold that card in your
hand, face down, just like this.

We're going to do a little incantation,
cast the spell, put your hand on top.

You know, on top, there you go, your
hand on top.

Turn your hands this way.

Turn your hands this way.

I'm going to leave the cards as they
are, but I want you to turn your hand

more time.

And if I do this, even though it looks
like nothing's happening, something in

fact does happen. The spell is now cast.

Her card has a soulmate.

For example, if this is the ace of
diamonds, its soulmate in the deck is

of hearts. Same color, same value,
different suit.

If this is the ace of spades, its mate
would be the ace of clubs. Same color,

same value, different suit.

So now in theory, what you do here will
happen here. You'll see what I mean.

Slowly lift up your hand.

Ace.

No, that wasn't the trick part.

The queen of spades, so its mate would
be the queen of clubs.

So if you turn that face up, one card
should now be face up.

In the deck.

Oh, and in fact, there is the queen of
clubs.

But what are some other ways that we
could damage this card?

Got it? Rip it? Yeah, great.

And if you would, either one of you,
just do me a favor and tear off either

of those indices.

Just tear off.

Taking part the Queen's personality.

And this is where it gets spooky.

Because remember, in theory, what you do
to one card also happens.

Here, hold your hand out flat.

There we go. Put your other hand on top.

And what other ways can we destroy it?
Burn. Burn. Fire. We'll do fire.

Here we are.

I'm going to do this. And this is where
it does get scary. Your hand is not

going to burn.

It's not going to burn.

Watch. As I do this, you'll see this
begin to burn the card. And as this,

will start to stick to your hand.

You're going to feel that heat.

You can see the smoke.

There's nothing on my hand, but you're
going to feel that heat go right down.

Remember, in theory, what happens to
one?

Lift up your hand. Turn it over.

and this is going to sound pretty crazy,
but I've made it my mission in just the

last few days.

every single word. And I thought, let's
put that to the test right now. You

Yeah. In a moment, I'm going to ask you
to open up that book to any page you'd

like. It is up to you. And I'll then see
if I can remember exactly what is on
