Well, there is nothing obvious about this master of illusion.

Time for our audience camera and a card trick close up with Farrell Dillon.

Hi, my name's Farrell. What's your name? Hi, Hallie. Hallie, nice to meet you.

Hallie, would you do me a favor? Pick a card out of the deck. Look at it. Don't

let me see it, but show it to the camera.

All right, good. Now, Hallie, I'm going to go through the cards. Just put your

card back right there. Perfect.

Yeah, you can say stop. That's fine.

Hallie, here's what's going to happen, okay? I'm going to cause your card to

through the air and land inside of my pocket. Are you ready?

I'm going to be impressed. Yeah, it's going to be like David Blaine. Great.

Yeah, but with a personality.

All right, here we go.

Did you hear it? One card flew from here, through the air, to here.

Go ahead, reach inside my pocket, find it.

You would have also found the eight nine hearts That's not your card. In fact,

Holly you would have found all these cards Except for this one card This one

card did not fly to my pocket. It just happens to be your card the eighth of

diamonds

of magic.

Because card magic is the purest kind of magic.

And to me, magic is all about purity.

I mean, sure, sometimes I think what I need is a gimmick.

All right, here's the deal, Whitney. I'm going to go through the cards. You're

going to touch the back of any one of these cards. Any one of these cards you

like, you're going to touch the back of. You happy with those instructions,

Whitney? Yeah. Yeah. All right. Here we go, Whitney. Just touch the back of any

one of these playing cards. Anyone?

Touch this one? This one just there?

That one. That one. All right. Let's take a look. Let's see which one Whitney

chose. The Jack of Diamonds. Now, Whitney, what I'd like you to do is I'd

you to write your name on the top of the Jack of Diamonds. This pen's for you.

That's it. Capital letters in that little white space there so it's nice

clear. That's it. Just write your name. Whitney. In capital letters? In capital

letters. That's it. So everyone can read it nice and clearly. Perfect.

Now, before the show began, I did make a prediction of the card that Whitney...

would choose okay whitney chose the jack of diamonds let's see what uh piff made

little prediction of the car that whitney would choose it's the seven of

so basically whitney was wrong you weren't even close

never mind whitney if i could really do magic it would look a bit like this

Folks, Bob and I are always trying to come up with new and exciting things to

for our audiences. What you're about to witness right now is one of the most

impossible things I could have ever thought of.

That's right. Coming to the stage right now is Miss Trixie.

And she's pushing out a cannon.

Boy, it doesn't look like a big cannon to you and I, but to a bird, it looks

enormous.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. In just a moment, we're going to place Bob

the Bird inside of that cannon.

Then Trixie's going to aim that cannon at my head.

And I, Fielding West, will attempt, I will attempt to catch Bob the Bird

my teeth.

So quite frankly, I'm not sure what's going to happen.

But I am very pleased to see that you're concerned for my safety.

And here again tonight, with an explanation of atmospheric pressure, is

informative Farrell Dillon.

What you are about to see...

It's my favorite party trick.

It's a very simple thing. What you need for this is a glass. You can probably

find this at anybody's house.

And some water.

You also need a simple piece of paper. Get the piece of paper sopping wet.

and use it to cover the glass.

Don't clap too hard. There's an explanation for this.

It's called atmospheric pressure.

Basically, what's happening is the water is trying to rush out of the glass.

at the same rate that air is trying to rush inside the class, creating an

equilibrium.

But this gets a little bit more magical.

Watch.

Now, this power does not last very long. I can end this at any time that I want.

You, young lady right there in the middle.

Yes, you with the raised eyebrows.

You seem so surprised.

I'd like you to name a number between 1 and 10.

Very close to between them, but that's okay.

to gasp. This is a most unusual illusion relying on the power of seance.

Last month, I took a trip. I took a trip to Colorado. I went to a very famous

hotel. It was called the Stanley Hotel.

You might remember that from the movie The Shining.

While I was there, I picked up one of their old dining room tables. Some say

that table is actually haunted.

I invited eight people to come on stage to help me. Would you guys come forward,

check out that table, examine that table, make sure that is an ordinary

table.

Perfect. If you would just stand around. Does it look okay?

Look okay? Perfect.

If everybody would, just go down on one knee. If everyone would go down on one

knee. Perfect. Place both your hands on top of that table. Bring your hands

forward a little bit more. Forward a little bit more.

Right up there. Perfect. Both hands on top of that table. I want you to

concentrate on the center spot.

Concentrate right on the center of the table. On the count of three, I want you

to slowly stand up, but keep your fingers on top of the table. Do not push

Do not lift up. Just rest them lightly, very lightly on top of the table.

On the count of three, slowly stand up.

One, two, three.

Slowly stand up. That table will come right up with you. Right up with you.

Perfect. Check that out. You can look underneath if you want.

Raise. Wiggle your fingers. Wiggle your fingers.

Perfect. Raise your right hand. Raise your right hand up. Perfect. Put your

right hand back down.

Raise your left hand.

Perfect. Put your left hand back down.

Raise both hands.

Catch it, catch it. Perfect. Bring it up, bring it up. That table will follow

wherever I go. Table, come this way. Follow me, table.

Perfect. Stop.
