plaguing our planet.

She sends five magic rings

to five special young people.

Kwame from Africa, with the power of Earth.

[sirens wailing]

with the power of fire.

[tires screech]

[theme music]

From the Soviet Union, Linka, with the power of wind.

From Asia, Gi, with the power of water.

[music continues]

And from South America

Ma-Ti, with the power of heart.

When the five powers combine

they summon Earth's greatest champion

Captain Planet!

(Planeteers) Go, Planet!

(Captain Planet) The power is yours!

[instrumental music]

(Kwame) You were right, Gi.

The sea life is amazing!

But even here, there is an endangered species..

...the dugongs.

| just hope we see one.

Well, here comes something.

Whoa! Am | crazy, or is that a mermaid?

| would not rule out the first possibility

[dramatic music]

Now, folks, any vacuum cleaner can pick up dirt

and pumping it back into the seabed!

Baz, are you familiar with the strategy

to hurt your enemy.

[chuckles]

such as oil and other fossil fuel.

Wars may even be fought over who controls them.

like clean solar power and other new technologies.

But until these alternatives are available

we need to conserve the resources we have.

And whenever possible, ride your bike.

Or walk. It's healthy.
