Actually, you know, it is a pretty good story.
Bearded Sheep: We were fast asleep,
trapped forever.
It was crazy boring.
The only fun thing to do was get really good
at astral projecting-- you know, floating around
the dreamscapes, yada, yada, yada.
Then one day a freak tornado shook up the fabric of time...
And gave us the opportunity to plant an idea
in that pink-haired witch's head.
We floated into her brain and tricked her
into opening a portal to the metaphysical reserve.
[ Chuckles ] And when no one was looking, we snuck out.
We found our bodies, fixed our hair,
and we raced to the top of the mountain
to eat that sweet, sweet jelly.[ Laughing ]
But we were disappointed to find
only a diamond floated in its place.
A diamond that was impossible to gnaw into.
So we pouted a little.
We found some broadcasting equipment,
dabbled in morning radio.
Hey, you're listening to Striped Horse here.
And the B-B-B-Bearded Sheep.
Then, finally, we smelled some fresh jelly-- hmm--
and skipped on down here in disbelief and now...

Okay, wait. [ Chuckles ]

Allow me to tell you a story.
When I smacked my nose, it wasn't out of frustration.
It was, instead, a secret command
to turn off The Soundhouse
to wake up the spotted bears.[ Bears snoring ]

I then gave the bears complicated signal instructions.
While you two rambled on obliviously,
Hedgehog and Oscar here helped hoist Mildred onto Waylon
and sent her and the jars clear outta here.
[ Whispering ] Get Mildred somewhere safe.

[ Grunting ]

Liddies and jartlemen,
In all my time as a Jar Guard, I've never broken a single jar.
I've never let a frog get to them
or lost one or flung one into a window.
It hasn't been easy, but I've kept my promise,
for truly, jars are the only thing
keeping order in a universe that is totally chaos.
Keeping the lids screwed on tight forever and ever--
that is my purpose.
And maybe if I do a good enough job,
I'll be good enough for someone to find me and claim me,
just like the jars did.

[ Ghosts murmuring ]
