Moonbeam: Ah, home sweet home.

It's been too long.

Thanks for letting me tag along, Moonbeam.

Hup! Ah.

I really needed some fresh air to--

Oh, no! What?

Did I say another alien swear word?

Was it worse than "bandana"?

Ugh, Oscar, stop saying that.

Now, see,

it must be exactly 50 years since I left.

Of all the rotten luck.

What are you talking about?

This looks great!

Everybody snoozing, holding hands.

Not like these other places I just came from

where I dislocated a woman's legs.

Then I was told I was the chosen one

and that I have to...

[ Gulp! ]

...save magic.

Whoa, Oscar. That sounds pretty heavy.

You wanna talk it out?

No. Let's put a pin in my emotions.

What was your problem?

Well, you're looking at it.

Every 50 years,

we have this horrible royal ceremony

called "The Three Grrs"--

grrievances, grripes, and grrumbles.

I left 50 years ago to avoid it,

and now apparently

I'm just in time for the next one.

Wait, but ceremonies are fun.

Think of all the folding chairs.

Picture the popcorn.

How about picture this--

each pair of jesters gets an unsolved problem

and we have to act them out for The King

and make them funny

so he could solve them without getting overwhelmed.

But all the jesters have partnered up

and you're the only one left

and they're gonna make you partner up with the teacher,

'cause no one else will have you,

and you'll never live it down,

so you run away to the moon.

Speaking of which, I'm headed back there right now.

Wait, Moonbeam!

What if I was your partner?

Really? Then sure!

Yeah, for sure!

Hey! [ Armpit farts ]

Whuh? Whazzat?

Who's waking up ol' Noodle?

On Three Grrs morning, no less.

Moonbeam, you old bandana you!

Welcome back!

You're just in time for the Three Grrs!

I know. That's why I woke you up.

You gotta help me train up my pal, Oscar,

to be my partner.

Okay, so, Oscar

you need a proper, professional jester name.

Buns it is!

That went on too long.

We've gotta get you a style, Honeybuns.

Oh!

This is lovely.

So, I'm gonna learn how to perform a cool song like that?

Oh, Honeybuns, that takes centuries.

You don't wanna strain your clown muscles

before you got 'em.

I think I have some muscles.

Back on the island, I'm always making people laugh,

cheering them up with a well-timed blunder.

I'm feeling a little out of sorts today,

but I think I could pull my clown socks out

for you, Moonbeam.

Okay, then, show us your muscles.

First, just give me a fall.

Lemme see what we're working with.

Whoa!

Stop!

The most important thing is to look surprised.

It's got to feel like you didn't know the peel was there.

You were staring at that peel the whole time.

You're still staring at it.

Eyes on the skies.

Got it.

Whoa! Oof!

You got to fall backwards,

so we can see the fear in your face.

Fear, but funny.

Don't forget to fall on your butt.

Whoa! Oof!

Okay, let me take a look at you.

[ Sigh! ] You know what?

Let's just move on to juggling.

Great. I juggle my calendar.

Sort of.

Not well.

Especially now.

My schedule is filling up with heavy obligations.

Oh, my gosh.

I'm gonna have to go on stage with my teacher.

Don't give up, Moonbeam.

Maybe juggling will work out.

Hey, look! My partner, Baklava.

Funny moves, funny dialogue.

The whole package, you know what I mean?

Anyhoo, let's start you off with some juggling basics.

Just start by throwing one pin up and down.

Hup!

Huh...

This one's a little heavy for me today.

Do you have a light pin?

Try one of these.

Okay, I can do this.

Oops.

[ Bonk! ]

Huh? Ow!

Mama, they got me.

A one-pounder.

Right in the kneecaps.

Somebody call an ambulance.

I'm passing out.

Wee-oo, wee-oo, wee-oo, wee-oo!

[ Slam! ]

Wee-oo, wee-oo, wee-oo!

No!

What am I gonna do without my partner?

I'll be both of your partners.

I'll work twice as hard.

[ Groan! ]

Let's skip the skill stuff and go to rehearsal.

You're gonna grab one of the complaints

and then you're gonna clown it out.

I got it.

"Whenever I wash my knickers in a rainbow--"

I don't wanna read this one.

Let me get another.

Um, okay.

So I guess this alien has a favorite spoon,

and they dropped the spoon behind the stove.

Oh, that's too bad.

And now they can't reach the spoon,

but they can still see it.

They're like, "What am I gonna do?

This stove is too big, and I'm just a little alien.

This stove is too big and heavy!

Too big and heavy..."

Well, that's just gonna bum the King out.

You gotta clown it up.

[ Squeak! ]

Juggle, banana peel, pie in the face.

Did someone say a pie?

I'm just looking for the spoon.

It's over here. Over here, you goon.

Oh, get off my head, ya big schlemiel.

Whoa! Watch out for that banana peel!

Whoa! My butt! Whoa! My butt!

Wait, Moonbeam, we're such bandanas!

We should be partners.

Why are we messing around with this guy?

Uh, I just found a spoon.

That's kinda funny, don't you think?

You know what, Honeybuns?

Just enjoy the show. Take a load off.

Puddle: Alright, buckle up everybody,

because it's time once again.

We've got gripes. We've got grumbles.

And don't forget grievances.

It's the Three Grrs!

Leading us off tonight, it's Noodle

and, believe it or not, Moonbeam, back from the dead.

Let's all give them a hand as they select their Grr.

Okay, let's see, um...

Right angles?

Heavy?

Oh, of course.

"Lifting the painting," a fan favorite.

Let's see if they can put a fresh spin on it.

And speak of the devil--

looks like Noodle's up to something.

Wait, what is this?

Peeling a banana?

Banana break?

[ Gasp! ] Noodle, no!

Look out, Moonbeam!

[ Gasps! ]

Huh?

Uh-oh. Sorry, Honeybuns.

[ Squeak! ]

[ Whine! ]

Bandana! [ Echoing ]

Make way, make way.

We've got a live Grr on our hands.

- Oscar? - No, Your Highness.

That's Honeybuns.

Our new trainee.

He's not quite ready for--

Honeybuns, I love it!

Alright, Honeybuns, make me laugh.

But I don't have a Grr.

You don't need one.

You're oozing "Grr." Just use that.

Okay.

My "Grr."

[ Groan! ]

[ Strain! ]

Is he hanging the painting again?

Watermelon painting?

That's no painting, Puddle.

That right there is the weight of the world.

[ Strain! ]

It's so hard.

I can't do it.

Eesh.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

[ Thud! ]

[ Taps playing ]

[ Whimper! ]

[ Splat! ]

King: Well, I didn't laugh once.

You actually bummed me out a little.

But you also spoke to my experience

as someone who feels overburdened

with protecting my own planet.

I have a lot going on these days.

You're not the only one.

Whose Grrs do you think those are?

They're all mine.

I'm the one who can't hang my own pictures.

I'm the one who keeps dropping spoons behind the stove.

We gotta get our own Grrs in order

before we can help anyone else, Oscar.

See a funny show. Do a weird dance.

Whatever works.

Hmm.

Yeah. Yeah!

Actually, before you take a break from helping people,

could you give me a hand with a couple things first?

Little to the left.

Little... to the left...

Perfect.

Wait a second.

The spoons behind the stove,

all the light bulbs I just changed.

Are all your Grrs just from you being two feet tall?

[ Laughing ]

Of course n--

Wait.

Oh, my.

A one-pounder. Right in the kneecaps.
