And into the spotlight of the orillia opera house.

Built in the late 1800s,

The orillia opera house began it's harrowing legacy.

The theatre was a fixture in the community,

Until a fire nearly destroyed the beloved building.

Repairs began immediately, but they were halted

When a workman unexpectedly died on site.

A tragedy that still echoes through the halls.

Finally, the doors reopened

To host world-class vaudevillian acts.

And though the art form eventually died,

One spirit known as the lady in grey

Is said to have never left the main stage.

The theatre transitioned to a silent cinema

With the theatre manager greeting everyone who entered.

And it's said that his spirit remains guarding the building.

As we head into our investigation tonight,

We'll search for the ghosts of the theatre manager,

The lady in grey and an unlucky workman.

All of these phantoms lead us to the legendary opera house

Located in downtown...

[upbeat electronica plays]

There's stories about ghosts in this building

As long as its been here.

You walk into this space and you get

This place has its fair share

Of ghosts stories for sure.

So when you're here by yourself and it's dark,

And at the heart of this building,

There was one man who kept everything running,

The theatre manager.

So, this theatre manager greeted everybody as saying--

Patrons and staff claim that the manager's spirit

Still keeps a watchful eye over this lobby.

People have felt cold breezes in this space.

A young workman was the last one on site

When he tripped and fell down the open elevator shaft,
