I was never able to tell you
where I was going

when I was going on a trip.

- I remember.

somewhere dangerous.

I've always been
a very decisive person,

so I would make a decision
and I would never look back.

When--when I was training
at the CIA, um--[chuckles].

We would do this exercise
where we would all have

to jump out of an airplane.

- Really?
- Yes.

It's not that bad.

But the instructor,

every time would ask
for a volunteer.

And my hand would shoot
into the sky

before I was even aware of it.

- That sounds right.

- But...

[sighs]

Later when I found out
that I was going to have

a little girl, Hannah...

[chuckles]

I met fear.

What kind of mother would I be?

How was I going
to protect you?

[sniffles] I had no control.

I was terrified.

Were so eager to take
your place in the world

that you were born before
the doctor even made it

into the delivery room.

you will succeed at whatever
you put your heart to.

I may not always
be there to see it.
