On May 15th, 2001,

in Pennsylvania, an armed man hijacked a school bus.

The man was a local criminal by the name of Frank Sorg.

With a shotgun in hand, he abducted the driver

and 26 children, ages five to 14.

One child on the bus was his very own child,

JR Sorg.

The bus was driven to a rock quarry

where it was buried in a hole.

The bus driver and children managed to escape

before Sorg could issue his ransom demands.

Two days later,

police tracked Sorg down to an open field

where he committed suicide.

All of the bus victims survived,

but many suffered from
post-traumatic stress disorder.

Years later, JR Sorg would be sent to a mental asylum

for his own tragic crimes.

Today he comes home.
