I'm so fired up to, like,
start working on this project.

So, Joe's gonna come in,

and make sure that all
of my grandiose design ideas

can happen safely
from a construction
standpoint,

and from a functional
standpoint in this house.

This is so different
than New York.

[Tiffany] I was driving in,
and just taking
in the architecture,

all the beauty.

Yeah, I pulled over probably
about 15 times,

and I loaded my phone picture.

So, anyway, the builders,
actually, are waiting
for us at the house.

My car's ready outside.

Typically, I take
my motorcycle.

I'm gonna spare you
the anxiety attack.

Thank you. Maybe a second,
third time.

All right, I'mma go check-in,

drop my bag off,
and I'll meet you at the car.

I'm really loving the unique
style of the architecture

of the homes
and the businesses that
I'm seeing down here.

They call this
"Santa Fe style".

Originally, it was
a dobie dried earth,

but now, you know, we can
get that same look

with modern
building techniques.

[Tiffany] It's just
inspiration everywhere.

I've never been to another
area of the country

where I'm vibing out
like this.

[Joe] The majority
of the roofing systems
here are flat.

The reason why they
use a flat roof,

you can see all...
Look at the mountains,
look at the landscape.

[Tiffany] Oh, oh, oh,
so, it's a little pitch
to see over.

Yeah, you keep
everything low...

[Tiffany] Ohhh!

...you don't block that view.

married couple

here in Santa Fe,

and they build the most
amazing homes.

- It looks amazing!

You guys are really
rocking and rolling.

[Valerie] Thank you,
we've been working so hard

to keep your schedule.

Last week, we installed
all the skylights.

They're strategically placed
throughout the home

to capture the natural light
and bring it inside.

Insulation happened
a couple of days ago.

And tomorrow, we're getting
ready to start the drywall.

-Okay.
-Beautiful, beautiful.

Oh, my God, I have been
so excited to see it.

I am here to see my baby.

Well, I want you to go
on in 'cause it's ready
for ya.

[Tiffany] Okay. Okay, cool!

We're building 3,000
square feet of smart style.

The entry leads
to a sun-drenched open living,

dining and kitchen space.

The front wing
has two guest rooms.

One with a projection TV,

LED lights for vibing out,

and bunk beds with built-in
chargers and storage.

The separate main suite
is a sanctuary

with a massive closet
and wet room.

Three outdoor living spaces

take advantage
of the sprawling yard,

and I cannot wait to show
Joe all of my ideas.

This is the entryway.

Big. This is huge!

[Tiffany] We have to have
it functional with a table,

some art work, sconces,

- I'm really gonna do
it up down here.
-[Joe] Yeah.

-Okay, so, Joe...
-Yeah.

[Tiffany] ...this may be
the greatest great room
I've ever designed.

- It's massive!
-[Joe] Huge!

[Tiffany] Yes.

- So, we have a family
room area over here...
-[Joe] Okay.

[Tiffany] ...there's
the dining room area here,

and then there is
the kitchen area here.

-Actually, can I point out
one thing over here?
-Of course, yes.

[Joe] The insulation,
they have these pilot
holes right here,

and that's where they
blow the insulation in,

and it fills
up these cavities.

-Ooh. Right.
-So, that's just gonna keep
that cold air outside,

and keep the warm air
on the inside,

and vice versa
throughout the seasons.

-Nice!
-Yeah, yeah.

This is one of my
favorite kitchens.

This large window
is actually a pass-through

to an outside kitchen,

dining area,
and another living area.

So, you have
the beautiful windows here,

that makes it easier to pass
everything right outside.

I have quite a number of smart
ideas for this kitchen.

One of my favorite things
about this kitchen

is that I'm actually doing

my take on an
appliance garage.

It's going to look like
a wall,

but it's actually gonna
move upwards and slide back.

Do a reveal to a toaster,

air fryer, whatever you
wanna hide back there.

[Joe] Okay. Smart.
I love that.

- There's a lot more

...i.e. the main retreat area.

-[Joe] All right.

-[Joe] Everything just
gets bigger and bigger.
-It does!

This is the main
bedroom suite.

By the ceiling heights
being so high,

this humungous window
for the views,

I mean, it's just grandiose,

-and it's just
over-the-top luxury.
-Yeah.

The bed is gonna
be right here.

-Right along this wall. Yeah.
-Ohhh, I know why.

-Oh, I know you why.
-Right? Right? Right?

One lucky winner can

-Now, the main bathroom
and closet spaces...

...are ridiculously large.

Very grand space here.

We have a vanity over here,

there's going to be
towel warmers over here,

this is your dressing room
slash closet space.

[Joe] As big as a bedroom.

And this, my friend...

[Joe chuckling] Oh, my God!

...is the wet room.

[Joe] What do you mean,
the wet room?

[Tiffany] Where the tub
and the shower will be living.

So, one of my favorite things
about this area of the house

is the square skylight is
mirroring a square bathtub.

-[Joe] A square bathtub?
-[Tiffany] Yes!

This is the size
of a New York City apartment.

-[laughing]
-That's how big this is.

I'm serious! Look at this,
this is crazy.

As soon as I pulled
up to the house,

you could tell right away
it's not like the homes

where I come from.

Joseph, he knows, obviously,
how these homes are built.

Ground up.

So, picking his brain,
this is something
I love to do.

I love to pick
builder's brains.

What are we
looking at right here?

[Joe Montoya] We call
this a canale.

This is, basically, a scupper
that takes all the water off
the roof

onto the ground here.

And every canale
will have a catch basin

that's gonna be piped
into a cistern tank

out on the lowest
point of the lot,

and we use that water
for the landscape.

Yeah, so, you're using,
you're using Mother Nature.

-Basically.
-Yeah. Basically.

Unbelievable. Good stuff.

We are 20 minutes away
from the Santa Fe
Farmers' Market.

It is one of the oldest,
most successful farmers'
markets

in the country.

We had to go and explore it,

and see what else
the culture here has to offer.

[bell chiming]

[Joe] The farmers' market
is held at a really cool
historic railyard

that's been turned
into an amazing public space.

-I love these markets, right?
-This is so cool.

-I love this biker aesthetic.
-[Joe] That's what I found.

I do dress like you live, Joe.

It's so cool around here,

I'm loving the shopping,
I'm loving the restaurants,

and the local vibe.

-It's like sand face
fingerprints, turquoise.
-Yeah. [popping]

[Tiffany] Wow,
these are gorgeous.

I love how organic they are
with the raw edge.

[Joe] Having a farmers'
market so close,

you can come here, you can
get all your fresh produce.

You have vegetables,
you've got jewelry,

and it's made
right here in town.

[Tiffany] I saw a lot
of things that I can
use for the house.

One thing that I'm loving

is how they are using chilis,

tying them together,
making wreaths,

making these little bunches.

So, I think I might go back
and pick up a lot of those.

When you talk about old
and architecture...

Yes!

-[Tiffany] The significance
of the architecture...
-[Joe] Yeah.

[Tiffany] ...and these
vintage old references...

...oh, that's the swagger
I want for this house.

Everything!

There's so much
impactful inspiration

happening right now.

Look at this beam wood.

I love everywhere
with a corbel.

- Just look at all of this.
-[Joe] Yeah.

Joe, the light fixtures,
the sconces on the wall,
everything.

[Joe] Right here, this is
not an original dobie,

but this is what
they make today.

They actually make these now
to keep it looking original.

Feel, feel how heavy
that is right there.

[Tiffany] Oh, no, I can't,
I can't, I can't.

Isn't it wild?

Traditional dobie
is sun-dried earth.

Today we use concrete
to mimic the look.

[Tiffany] So, this is the,
this is one of the many
reasons

I was excited, and kept
recommending Santa Fe

The culture, the history.

That's it. Now we
bring it to reality.

Now you bring it

Today, Tiffany and I are
heading back to the house

to check on the outdoor spaces

because on the inside,
that's where construction's
happening.

We're choosing function,
entertainment,

plus enjoyment of all four
seasons right out here.

We have 1,200 feet of decking,

in a combo of sunny
and shady spaces.

We're gonna do a little
outdoor art there,

and then this
is our seating area.

[Joe] You know what
is catching my eye out here?

These cedar beams...

-[Tiffany] Oh, yeah.
-[Joe] ...that are,
like, beyond solid.

-[Tiffany] Yeah.
-You know, suddenly, you have
one, two, three, I mean,

a dozen of 'em on the ceiling
holding this structure up...

-Yes.
-...to any element you
can possibly get out here.

You know, on top of that,
this beautiful area

with that scenery...

Ridiculous, right?

[Joe] I could just sit down
here and take a nap just
looking at that.

[Tiffany] All right,
there's another outdoor
pace I wanna show you.

That rooftop deck area,

I envision it as the place
where people

experiencing a sunset
all around,

360 degrees around this house.

RIght through here is going
to be a spiral staircase

that's going to lead
to the rooftop deck.

Joe being a home inspector,

he knows how to get
up there safely.

I'm not gonna hoist my little
self up there and do it,

I need him to do it.

I've never seen it up there,

and I need a video
or something

so I know what
I'm working with.

You want me to go

at the house is great.

Construction is
rocking and rolling,

the staircase is installed,

next process is dropping
the steps in,

dropping those
treads in place.

So, the outside walls are
getting a cement-like coating.

It's the second part
of the stucco system

before the color goes on top.

For the interior
of the house this year,

I used a really, really
natural-feeling palette.

All of the colors I used
in the interior of the house

can be found outside in nature
in this area of the country.

I want it to feel...
Of this entire house,

to be south-west modern.

Santa Fe is famous
for artisans and art,

and some of the coolest pieces
around town

are abstract
with strong lines.

I decided to add a little bit
of that flavor to the house.

So, I went with an abstract
mural opportunity

in the garage.

It's playful, it's fun,

and it takes up a lot
of visual room

to make that space
even feel cozy.

This is traditional Santa Fe,
but with a Tiffany twist.

white oak floors.

I love checking in at
these houses

to see how much
progress has been made.

Isn't it good?

- The stucco color is amazing.

It looks really good.

All the houses in this
area of the country

are, typically, made to match
its surroundings naturally.

Yeah, blend in.

Blend in. I wanted something
a little bit different.

I still went
with a neutral color,

but I wanted it deeper.

[Joe] The way the stain
is on the beams,

the contrast is perfect.

You know, and I love how
you put in the vigas.

The... Typically, the vigas
on the side of a house,
they're structural.

-[Tiffany] Mmm-hmm.
-[Joe] And they're round, so,

they went, actually,
through the home.

These are not structural,

- but they give that curb
appeal, you know?
-[Tiffany] Oh, yeah.

I know we gushed
about the exterior,

but I gotta see if my
door's working.

I'm gonna see what
the interior looks like.

[Joe] I hope they work.

-[Tiffany] Ooh!
-[Joe] Ready to see
this inside.

We got the floors going in!

It's like design Christmas
morning to me.

[chuckles] That's a nice

Look at the contrast
between the color of that
and the wall.

I like the wide planks too.

-[Tiffany] Yes!
-I really like
the wide planks.

I always go wide
because it creates, like,

a more high-end look
in the houses that I do.

[Joe] And it's perfect for,
like, high-traffic areas.

an icy mint.

a little bit of architectural
detail in here using paint.

It's a really inexpensive
way to add, like,

architectural dimension
to your rooms.

One more thing, I'm looking
at the doors, I'm looking at
the trim...

[Tiffany] Mmm-hmm.

...the ceiling, everything is
the same exact color.

What's the reasoning
behind that?

-When you paint everything
the same color...
-[Joe] Mmm-hmm.

...it just creates this
feeling of luxury,

and how infinite the walls
and the ceiling can be.

Oh, my God,
I just realized something.

-What's that?
-The walls match your eyes.

Mmm!

I just realized that!

That's... That was
your inspiration.

[laughs] That's what
we'll tell people.

I don't like doing things
in a small way,

and as these lines start
going on the wall,

I can tell already

that they'll give the exact
kind of drama

that I'm looking
for in this room.

There's so much going on.

I mean, these guys
are busting.

So, that's my cue to steal
away for a little taste
of the city.

I wanted Joe to sample
some of the local food

here in Santa Fe.

I'll let you take
the first bite.

[Joe] Yeah, it's like butter.

The food is great,
the drinks are great,

and Tiffany has some things
that she'd like to show me.

So, the reason why
I brought you here

is because I also
wanted to show you

One of the things
that I love doing

when I get to a new area
that I'm designing in

is find, like, local flavor,
and get an image of it.

It's an amazing accessory
for the house.

I found photographs that
I'm actually blowing up

to be about
seven to eight feet.

-[Tiffany] It is so cool!

So, I figured that I'm gonna
choose, like, five of these...

-[Joe] Okay.
-[Tiffany] ...to have them
blown up vertically.

I even had him visit
the San Miguel Chapel

-where we walked.
-[Joe] Oh, yeah.
How could you not?

[Tiffany] I know, it's so
architecturally significant.

It's amazing.
These are lovely, right?

-[Joe] I want some of these.
-I know. Mission accomplished.

I love Santa Fe.

There is something new
everywhere you go.

Everything here is
absolutely beautiful.

I'm loving it,
it is so cultural,

and it gives you this
small-town vibe.

The creative energy
in Santa Fe is overwhelming.

[Tiffany] Good grief, girl!

Now, this is why I love
being a designer.

Just walking in the door
gets my juices flowing,

and I'm totally ready
to find the perfect pieces

that we need in order
to finish this house.

You know, Tiff,
one of the reasons I love
vintage shopping so much

is just all the new
pieces that you can find,

especially in an historical
city like this.

Yes. With this house
being a brand-new build,

-to insert some of that
history in there...
-Mmm-hmm.

...especially Santa Fe is key.

Mmm-hmm, I know,
and this place is
a treasure trove, girl.

I love the character
of these old patinaed items.

plus they withstand
the test of time.

And you can really
find something

for every design style
in a vintage shop.

The greatest part about it is,
the prices are amazing.

I see a bunch of stuff.

That's everything.

[Lauren] It was love
at first sight.

These are the prefect
finishing touch
for her custom TV box.

They're gonna be chefs kiss.

[Tiffany]
They called out to me.

And that's how it should go,
that's the serendipity
of vintage shopping.

-The scale is really,
really good.
-Speaking of scale,

how the hell are we gonna
get these in our car?

Honey, you have
to strap them to the roof.

-We brought the wrong car.
-We will figure that out.

-I'm like--

So I found some chain link
curtains that I really love.

-This is really cool,
it's light.
-It is, it is.

It would be really unique
if you need take out some
vertical wall space.

are in clusters like that.
-[Lauren] Yes. Yeah.

[Tiffany] It just creates
such an impact.

[Lauren] It really does,
and I love the texture
and that silhouette.

[Tiffany] I have to get

I always say,
when you walk out

with more than
two things at a store,

you had a successful
shopping trip.

You guys have some
amazing things in here,

how do you find?

Well, some of it's local,
some of it comes to us,

and then we go
all over the world

and collect things
from everywhere,

-Oh, my God! Good job.

Exactly, what a great job.

[Tiffany] It's a few a days
before the holidays,

and we're rushing
to get things done

at the HGTV Smart Home 2023.

So much progress has been
made in the kitchen.

The cabinets
are really beautiful,

they really have
a soft finish to them,

which really pulls
the paint colors
together nicely.

I always love adding
some sort of architectural
feature to a room,

I'm doing it with a wrap
around the television box,

I'm also going
to continue that feel

along the side panel
of the island,

just to add some continuity
between the two rooms.

When this is done and painted,

it's going to look
super high-end,

but here is a little secret...

You just order it,

and it's so easy to work with,

definitely homeowners
can do it themselves.

[Tiffany] In the guest
bathroom,

I'm actually putting stone
on the wall

instead of your traditional
tile.

All of the stone tile
that I'm putting in,

does not go all the way up
to the ceiling,

matter of fact, it's gonna be
more organic

and feature waves
for the room.

In the kitchen,

I'm taking the bold
geometric tile

all the way to the ceiling
for a luxury look.

Outside, the spiral stairs
are done.

With the roof deck
ready for furniture,

this week we're moving
into high gear to create
a dreamy yard

for the lucky winner.

Oh, my God, we got decking!

-Looks good. Looks good.
-[exclaims] Yes!

-Look at that. Huh?
-Oh, yeah.

-[Joe] Like it?
I love this color.

You know what's great
about this?

-It's super durable...

in the rest of this backyard?

Okay, in order for me
to tell you,

is where the spa
is going to be,

so I need you
to mark from that area,
coming towards me,

just so I can get an idea
of the proportion.

So we got the water feature
going there.

Next, in that area over there

is going to be
the firepit area.

On the edge of that firepit

is gonna be
beautiful landscape

-with all kinds of flagstone
coming up in plants.
-Okay.

Over here

is gonna be where
the entertaining happens.

-This whole area right here?
-[Tiffany] Oh, yes.

This rectangle
is gonna be all turf.

And then that.

-That beautiful scenery.

I spent months figuring out

how to capture
Santa Fe in this home,

and now that it's ready
for furniture,

my skills get put to the test.

This is actually the last step
of designing this house,

is adding all of the things.

Designing for the area
can be tricky,

you walk a really tight line

from going too theme-y

and just being classy enough.

Everything is in this
little booklet

as well as the floor plan.

So it's a pretty easy guide,

so just reference this.

This is gonna be chaotic,

there's a lot of pieces
being delivered,

so we'll just
get them unpacked

and put everything into place.

-Sounds good.
-Okay.

All right, I think we should
get to work.

That rug,
I can't tell what it is.

So far so good.

First the area rugs
are coming off the trucks,

then we're going
to place the beds,

and then we're gonna
start placing

some of the other
heavy furniture.

I love this sofa.

This is for the bunk room.

Someone is going to win

...and when I'm designing
and picking out
all these pieces,

I often cycle back
to that thought.

So you're, like,
designing for everybody,

and that actually unleashes
some type of creativity.

The main bedroom
is coming together.

And the architectural
paint lines

accent the head board
just as I planned.

Art will dress up
the rest of the wall.

Art is just as important
as the furniture in the space.

I mean, you have this
big blank empty walls,

and in this house
the walls are so tall,

art will do the trick,

especially large scale art.

So this piece, I picked up,

because it works so well
with the book cases,

and then this piece,
I picked up,

because it worked so well
with the paint colors.

Now that I have
the two pieces of art in here,

I think I'm gonna go
with this one.

I am loving how this piece

ties all the furniture
together.

The last job for today

is setting up our whole
house security system

to keep all this
gorgeous stuff safe.

Oh, this looks really good.

So this is the home security
base station.

I love using this because

-it offers total
home protection...
-Oh, cool.

[Tiffany]
...and the base station
is actually cute.

Yeah, it goes with everything.

-It goes with
absolutely everything.
-That looks great.

We are so much further ahead

than I could've thought
on a day one,

we're in a good space.

I'm really, really sure that
this is gonna be fantastic
when we're done.

What is this?

Oh, it's a wall hanging.

I remember ordering this.

Right now,
we're in the process
of styling,

it's a lot of trial and error,

looking at something
like this,

cocking your head this way,

taking a camera phone
picture of it.

We can do green apples
in there.

All the stuff I picked out
at the vintage shop
is arriving today.

I'm loving these vases,

not only do they add
more vase space to the room,

but they're also
acting as sculpture.

This is a library,
this is a dining room.

One room can have two uses.

These rooms are just
shaping up to have

that modern Southwest feeling
that I'm looking for.

I'm just in love with it all.

Today is like the big
reveal day for me,

it's like I get to show
a client I've been
working with

the final product,

but my client
in my head is Joe.

-Tiffany.
-Come in,
check out this house.

[laughs] Oh, my gosh.

-You're kidding me
with this right now.
- [Tiffany] I'm done.

[Joe] You, you are done.
You over did it.

Walking into this house,
my jaw literally just dropped,

I was almost speechless.

The pictures.

[Tiffany] Yeah, remember
we had margaritas that week.

[Joe] We had margaritas.

-I remember the picture,
I do remember these, though.
-Yeah.

-Look at that.
-They came out amazing.

And this even makes
the room even taller.

Now, I wanna-- What's this?

-I wanna see this room here.
-Oh, gosh.

Okay, so all of this
fabulousness

opens up into this.

[Joe] Wow.

[Tiffany] Story here
is the color.

So this house is covered
in the HGTV Home
by Sherwin-Williams

Earthy Charm Color Collection.

And I put this
deep black green

-to be like the, the star...
-Yeah.

...but all the other colors
work so well with it

because you get this room
to room harmony.

I can literally go through
the color collection

and pick out two colors,

and know that they'll work
well together side-by-side.

What I learned
working with Tiffany,

be bold,

go above, go crazy.

Like, for me, I was like
"Dark colors, eh."

You know, a lot of people
are nervous with that.

Don't be nervous with it,

everything just comes
and flows perfect in here.

The way this color
and the beams on the ceiling,
how they pop now.

The contrast,
so the beams are working

because they're working
with the flooring.

And normally,
this white oak flooring

will look a little bit
more beach-y,

but coupled with this color,

-it's just adding this
modern element...
- [Joe] Yeah.

[Tiffany] ...so it feels
totally different.

So this fluting texture
I put here on this TV wall--

[Joe] This is nice.

[Tiffany] Yeah, it just adds
more architectural detail
to this space,

So, uh, so, oh, my God,

my friend Lauren Makk,
I had her fly out,

and we found these
gorgeous dramatic vases

and then this chain link
accessory.

-This is good,
this is nice, though.
-Isn't that cool?

Look at that.

It's so cool.

And it-- [sighs]
I need you in my house.

This whole area
opens up into the kitchen,
I wanna show you that next.

I see that over there,
that's wow.

The hardest part about
designing a smart home,

any smart home,

is the forward thinking
technology.

I think I'm gonna blow
Joe's mind with some
hidden high-tech secrets.

Going around Santa Fe,

you start seeing
chili peppers here,

I really, really, really
just kind engaged

in all the scent of fruits
and vegetables that was there.

So we have an appliance garage

for all of your countertop
appliances right here.

Smart, unbelievable.

this is so cool.

It is a digital hood.

You can pull up recipes, apps,

it even has a camera,
so you can film yourself
while you're cooking.

is touch screen.
-[Joe] Come on.

[Tiffany] So do you
remember...

[Joe] No way.

[Tiffany] ...when we went
to have enchiladas that day?

[Joe] No way.

This easily is the smartest
kitchen I've ever built.

Tiffany and I've been
talking about the house,
I've been here many times,

but to see the final product,
everything come together,

that's a different ball game.

Then we put this massive
window in here.

-This is the pass through that
connects the indoor kitchen...
- [Joe] Mmm-hmm.

[Tiffany] ...to the outdoor
kitchen.

The countertops are endless,

and then it leads you

-into this multi-functional
mud room...
- [Joe] Okay.

[Tiffany] ...pantry,

laundry area,
and craft station.

- [Joe] Why not?
Why not? Why not?
- [Tiffany laughs]

You don't have to be
a designer to know that
this house is gorgeous.

Back at the front
of the house,

the guest wing off the foyer
has two awesome bedrooms.

This room is supposed
to be literal

with more of a sense
of humor in there,

you know,
they're riding the bull,

we're at the rodeo here,

I put the cowboy hats up,
I have pair of boots,

I don't want this room to be
taken too seriously.

[Joe] I love this.

-[Tiffany] All right,
do you wanna see more?
-[Joe] Yes.

-[Tiffany] All right, come on.
-[Joe] Let's go.

So I'm calling this
the bunk room.

[Joe] This is cool.

This is kind of a more
techy room, I would say.

Once you remove the art,

-there is a projector
right here.
- [Joe] All right.

[Tiffany] You turn this on,
you can watch movies,

-there is a video game system
connected up.
- [Joe] Love that.

So these two bunks are built
directly into the wall,

so again, I was able
to take advantage
of the high ceilings.

Each of the bunks also have

these little cubbies,
these little niches,

that have outlets in them,

so you can charge your devices
at each of the bunks.

-It's really cool.
-That's awesome,
that's awesome.

And you have this nice step,

and you have a railing,
a safety railing.

[Tiffany] It is so
architectural.

You know, this is my room,
right here.

-[laughs] Is this--
-You know, I like this room.

-Is this little Joe's room?
-This is little Joey's room.

-You know, little Joey's room.
-[Tiffany] That's so cool.

And then even on this wall,

you know, you have
this really cool tactile
light show happening.

-Ooh.
-And you can add
to these, too.

You can literally put
more and more pieces,

and then have this kind
of travel all over the room.

Should've put your name,
Tiffany.

I know, I would,
but, you know,
you gotta use restraint.

I went organic
with the line of the tile.

[Joe] The tile work
in the guest bathroom,

it's like rolling mountains
going all over,

it's unbelievable.

Okay, Joe,

do you remember,
this is the main bedroom.

[Joe] I love how this
came out.

[Tiffany] The feature in that
main bedroom that

I'm in love with,
the volume ceilings,

work so well with
how much natural light
we have coming in there,

plus I get to show off those
amazing drapes.

-I remember tape
being on the walls.
-[Tiffany] Yup.

This is what I wanted
to create.

You have shapes on the wall
that hug the shelter bed.

Is this that smart bed
that we saw?

This is the smart bed, yes.

-So in here, the design
is all about geometry.
- [Joe] Mmm-hmm.

[Tiffany] I echoed
that bold pattern,

you see that
again in the floor
to ceiling drapes.

[Joe] Yeah.

[Tiffany] And then again
on the Southwestern rug.

Geometry, geometry, geometry.

I like that, I didn't do well
in geometry in school,

but you did, you did
a good job here, though,

you did a real good job here.

Do you wanna see the bathroom?

-Oh, yeah.
-All right, come on.

Of course.

[Tiffany] All right.

-Joe...
-This is gonna be crazy.

Whoo!

[Tiffany] Isn't it gorgeous?

Oh, my God,
look at this place.

[Tiffany] So I have dual
floating vanities.

[Joe] Yeah.

The pendants on each side.

The gold hardware
and the gold plumbing,

it's acting like jewelry
right now.

[Joe] Yeah, it is.

-And these are heated?
-Yes.

-Ooh. I love that.
-Heated towel racks.

Okay, Joe.

-And have you ever...
-No, I have not.

-[Tiffany] . ..seen...
-[Joe] I'm gonna cut you off.

-I have not seen
anything like this before.
-[Tiffany laughs]

[Tiffany] ...a wet room
like this?

We have a Japanese style
soaking tub in here.

And how it shaped is meant

to alleviate tension
and relieve stress.

The tile is so dark
'cause I wanted that

-infinite feel that you'll get
in a high-end spa.
- [Joe] Yeah.

[Tiffany] You know,
these skylights open
to let in that fresh air.

[Joe] Sure.

These are moisture sensing,

so when it starts raining,
the skylight will sense it,

-and if they're open,
they will close.
-[Joe] Smart.

My absolute favorite feature
in this house

is that wet room.

When you have a spa
in your house,

to me that, like,
separates you tremendously

in the luxury living category.

We got a touch and voice
controlled shower system.

The dual showerheads,

our rain head here,

the four body sprays,

the hand held.

It's just, you have a tree
in the bathroom.

-I know I do, I know.
-[Joe] You have tree
in the bathroom.

-[Tiffany] It's ridiculous.
- [Joe] That's how big
this bathroom is.

[Tiffany] It's ridiculous.

I hate to call this a closet.

- [Joe] Because it's--
- [Tiffany] It's a little bit
more than that.

[Joe] It's a another small
New York City apartment.

-I have this perfect way
to begin your day.
-Mmm-hmm.

[Tiffany] You can see
what the weather is,

you can see what your
itinerary is for the day.

-The clothing restyler.
- [Joe] Mmm-hmm.

[Tiffany] So it, like,
refreshens your clothes
that aren't really soiled.

You got it,
I like that one right there.

I also noticed you have
the natural light coming in

from the sun tunnels up top.

Yeah, this is one
hardworking space.

Outdoor living in Santa Fe

is definitely a staple.

They have the weather
to do in the Southwest,

and the views to back it up.

So we have the outdoor kitchen

-with a pizza maker
- [Joe] Ooh, look at that.

[Tiffany] The outdoor kitchen
also has waterproof artwork,

plenty of cabinet
and counterspace,

and tons of seating.

The decking.

- [Joe] Composite...
- [Tiffany] Mmm-hmm

[Joe] ...solid, easy to clean,

and I also love the lighting.

Yeah, those little
puck light...

-I love them.
-...it just adds that
touch of luxury.

It gives you a touch, yeah,
and it also give it, like,

"Hey, you're about
to step off the deck
on to the ground,

-don't twist your ankle."
-Right.

And then the canal,
we, we spoke about that,

the water is coming off,

it's landing right
inside here,

and then going away
from the house.

[Tiffany] The yard has
all of the elements,

earth, wind, fire, and water.

So we got this awesome
plunge spa here,

- right outside.
-[Tiffany] Yeah.

- [Joe] Obviously,
it looks like it's heated.
- [Tiffany] Yup.

Is there a cover that
goes on this for safety?

Oh, yeah,
definitely have a cover,

but I wanted everything pretty
when I showed you.

All right, just making sure,
just making sure.

You know,
safety Joe over here.

And then just as safe
is our firepit.

Far enough away
from the house,

-so you don't got
to worry about that.
-Yup.

And there is a fire
extinguisher.

The best part about
this house here
is the outdoor living.

So anywhere you go
on the outside of the house,

you can hangout and relax
and look at the mountains.

Can you imagine

I have never been

like this one, seriously.
