And it was wrong of me to do that.

I know, but like I was really mad.

I was listening to
everything they were saying

and you know these dudes
show up and then they start..

they were threatening Kris and stuff.

- We were tailing Marco
Rodriguez that night.

He took us to the warehouse.

- Do we go in?

- [Dispatcher] Standby.

- I've counted at least five

inside and we've got two
more combing the perimeter

- [Dispatcher] Negative on entry.

- What do you want us to do?

- We were told to stand down and wait.

- But the thing is,
when Tomlinson showed up

it wasn't just about Marco anymore.

- Well what happened next?

- (eerie music)

- So what's it gonna be
Sergeant Tanner, looks to me

like you can join us or
you can join your brother.

Because the way I feel

(gun cocking)

inside we knew her importance to the case.

so we put her in protection.

- I told them I could go to
Virginia with my mom, disappear.

I was planning on going there anyway.

- They put a hit out on her.

But we had an agent planted
within Marco's network.

So they spread word she was dead.

- The problem with a guy

like Tomlinson is he knows the system.

He stayed disconnected from the hit on

Tanner. If we try to nab his foot soldiers

- He would know you're on to him.

- Exactly.

- So I understand that
Anthony is a witness

but how did he end up with you guys?

- Anthony?

- So like I waited in the warehouse

until everybody was gone
and then I took off.

- Once we saw that he was
a witness and isolated

we made the call to bring him in.

- We believe that

during the detainment is
when he lost your gun.

- The gun that Tomlinson
said killed Britney.

- Yeah. Which obviously
Anthony didn't kill her

cause he was in FBI custody at the time.

We believe one of them
killed her later that night.

But we're not sure who or where.

- So why did Anthony have to
stay in witness protection?

- When Anthony told us
he was living with you

a sergeant in East Bank,

there was no way we could let him go back.

- Tomlinson's involvement was new to us.

So obviously that expanded our umbrella

of suspicion to the entire
East Bank police force.

- I offered to have Anthony stay

with me and my mom somewhere
no one would suspect.

- I'm really sorry.

Like they didn't give me a choice.

- You don't need to apologize.

- Tomlinson rushed the charges

on Anthony to cover his own tracks.

When the charges fell on you, Travis

it was obvious what he was doing.

- So now you're going
to bring Tomlinson in?

(somber music)

- We don't have enough on Tomlinson yet.

See, that's the problem.

He's always one step outta reach.

But Tomlinson, thinks

Kris is dead.

Which is why we need y'all's help.

We have a plan.

Kris, we'll put you up
somewhere quiet in East Bank.

We'll need you available
in a moment's notice

in case Tomlinson tries
to spring the trap.

critical in this case.

a quiet place for you.
