..lives a little sound collector.

Oh, yes, and his best friend, Mole.

Putting in his hearing aids,

the Sound Collector starts to hear the world around him.

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS

GENTLE MUSIC PLAYS

Hmm, a nice sound. He must have left his music on.

NARRATOR CHUCKLES

Or Mole's been very clever.

MOLE GRUNTS

SOUND COLLECTOR CHUCKLES

NARRATOR: It's time to collect some sounds.

MOLE SNORES

TAPE RECORDER CLICKS, MOLE SIGHS

WATER BABBLES

SWITCH CLICKS

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS

BIRDS TWEET

SOUND COLLECTOR: Ah!

He never gets tired of listening to the world around him.

WATER CASCADES, WHEEL CREAKS

CREAKING Oh, the weather vane.

SOUND COLLECTOR GASPS

But maybe he wants something a little more... lively.

ENGINE RUMBLES

NARRATOR: Ah!

Great timing.

A lift to somewhere new.

Yes, the town. So many different sounds here.

TRAFFIC RUMBLES

ENGINES RUMBLE, CLATTERING

Listen to all that hustle and bustle.

TRAFFIC CROSSING BEEPS

Ah, this should be lively.

SCRAPING

DRILLING

Wow! That's about as loud as it gets.

RUMBLING

So many sounds.

CROSSING BEEPS

MOTORCYCLE ENGINE RUMBLES

What a massive rumble. Someone's in a hurry.

TRUNDLING, DOG BARKS

ENGINES RUMBLE

CHATTERING, SHOP DOOR DINGS

HE BEEPS HORN, COINS JINGLE

The busy music of the town.

MUSIC PLAYS NEARBY

And music of a different kind.

Buskers.

ENGINES RUMBLE

Oh, dear. What a racket.

Hmm, I think he's had enough lively sounds for one day.

Ah, that's better.

SOUND COLLECTOR SIGHS

Countless stars twinkling above.

OWL HOOTS

So peaceful.

MOLE SNUFFLES

Just the Sound Collector and his best friend, Mole.

He really loved the noise of the hustle and bustle of the town...

..but home is really where the sound is.
