Welcome to your next challenge here on this season of War of the Worlds 2.

Now unfortunately, Zahida had a family matter she had to attend to.

She will not be joining us for the rest of the season, but we wish her well.

So, today's challenge is called Cryptic Crossbow.

As you can see, we have two giant crossbows right here, one for each team.

To begin, each team is going to start on their own platform.

Then when I say go, you're going to jump into the water and you're going to retrieve one of those floating letters out there in the middle of the river.

There are 16 letters out there.

In the case of the Brits, you're down two players.

So two of your players have to retrieve two letters.

Once you bring all of your letters back to your platform, you're then going to solve a four-word puzzle.

Now here's where it gets fun.

You will then launch one player from your team into the water off your crossbow.

They're then going to retrieve that Cryptics puzzle and you guys are going to solve it.

If your four-word puzzle is correct, there are certain letters that are going to be used to solve it and open it up.

The first team to open their Cryptics will win today's challenge.

The losing team will be tasked with nominating one female for possible elimination.

Everyone already has alliances and friends and history and past.

I'm a boner and that really scares me.

I just really want to prove myself to my team, to America, and to the world.

Guys, good luck and I hope you've been swimming.

I'm not sure if I even have any swimming skills.

I'm very good at diving, I'm a very elegant swimmer,

and I'm very good at breaststroke,

like keeping my head out of the water

and keeping my hair dry,

but that's not what this challenge is about, so.

All right, so we get all the puzzle pieces,

we put it up on the board, we think it's right,

we send you off, you go get the raft and come back.

If we can open up the cryptic,

and that's not right, we still win.

My strategy for my team today

is to first of all, get along.

this is exactly the kind of challenge that I like to do,

but I have contracted the black plague.

I had to step back from the leadership role today,

but there's also sneaky guys like Jordan

that will use this as an excuse

to say that I'm not a team player.

Today's challenge involves swimming ability, endurance and your mind.

We need to go swim out, grab the letters, bring them back, solve the puzzle,

and then one lucky guy, me, gets fired at the crossbow to retrieve the raft.

First team to solve the Cryptex wins the challenge.

I'm going at a dog's pace.

I look across to the right and I see Wes jetting out way in front.

Say what you want about Wes, but that boy could swim.

I have dusted everybody.

I mean, I know I'm good, but they are bad.

Sick or not, I will carry us to victory.

I'm not used to swimming in open water so far out.

I'm used to doing little laps in the pool and trying not to drown.

We decided for me to get the puzzle that's closest to the shore and bring it back.

I opted to go for one of the furthest puzzle pieces,

as I am one of the strongest swimmers on my team.

I looked to my side and my best friend Nicole is right next to me.

I'm so proud of her.

She's a really strong challenger.

I'm the last one to jump in the water,

but I am the first one back to the deck.

And I surprise myself.

I feel like a lifeguard.

I completely collapsed.

And I'm a track runner, and I've never felt this type of pain.

And as soon as we lose and the rug gets pulled out from beneath us, all our demons are coming out and it's going to be ugly.
