NARRATOR: Around and along, in the middle of somewhere,

lives a little sound collector.

Ah, yes. And his best friend, Mole.

HE YAWNS

Putting in his hearing aids,

the Sound Collector starts to hear the world around him.

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS

GRUNTING

Aww.

I wonder what little moles dream of. Giant carrots?

BELLY RUMBLE

Oh, of course.

Moles dream of breakfast.

All set to collect some sounds.

And to make some sounds of his own, perhaps.

BIRDSONG

Fantastic sounds all around.

WATER RUSHING, BIRD COOING

Maybe he'll record something really special today.

PLAYFUL MUSIC

WATER TRICKLING

WATER BABBLING Ah. Sounds of the stream, perhaps.

Nothing's better than nature's sweet song in the morning.

SWITCH CLICKS

WATER TRICKLING

WINGS FLUTTER

WIND RUSHES, LEAVES RUSTLE

TWEETING, HE GASPS

Oh! What was that sound?

TWEETING There it is again!

Look! A kingfisher! What a stunning creature!

Yes, this is a keeper.

WATER TRICKLES Ah! His boat.

Time to go with the flow.

SCAMPERING, GRUNTING

SHE SNIFFS

I think Mole's wondering where her friend's got to.

SNIFFING Ah.

She can't look for the Sound Collector on an empty stomach.

NARRATOR CHUCKLES Such a messy eater.

CURIOUS GRUNTS

Off she goes!

BIRDSONG

A peaceful boat trip in the summer breeze. What's not to like?

BIRDSONG, WATER TRICKLING

WATER BABBLES Endlessly murmuring.

HE STRUMS A PLAYFUL, UPLIFTING TUNE

Music to accompany a gentle boat trip.

Ahh.

WATER RUSHING

Hm. Is it me, or is the boat going faster?

It is going faster!

Much faster!

WATER ROARING

Uh-oh! He's reached the white water.

HE CHUCKLES This is great!

I think...

Hey! Look who's here.

She's found him. And here he comes.

HE CHUCKLES

MOLE SNUFFLES HAPPILY

Wow! What an adventure.

MOLE COOS

So pleased to see each other.

MOLE SNUFFLES Enough excitement for one day.

Hm. What's he up to now?

WATER TRICKLES
