"It's day 12, and the game is about to change.
- "- Drop your buffs." - Drop your buffs!
- Yes! - Let's go!
We did it!
Previously on survivor...
Eva's idol, Mitch's block a vote
that was two big pieces of information.
David and I connected, like, immediately.
- Perfect. - So I told him that we're tight.
Our plan is to start building a team
myself, Eva, shauhin, David and Kyle.
- Okay. - We're getting all
the strong people together, and we are winning
survivor 48.
I don't trust sai, and I don't really like sai.
To me, that is the smartest move.
I say we write charity.
I feel like that is rock-solid.
Charity is my target. Let's get her out of this game.
I don't even want her on the jury.
Let's send her home.
Cedrek.
Sai.
Sixth person voted out of survivor 48:
Charity.
The tribe has spoken.
Whoo-ee.
Not at all.
I'm probably not the one to talk to.
Tonight I thought the vote was gonna be 12 to one
for sai to go home, and instead
charity was voted off.
Charity and I
have been playing this game together
pretty closely from day one, so it hurts,
and no one wanted to tell me.
I'm gonna tell you the truth.
I voted charity tonight
'cause people had told me that she was throwing my name around.
Like, that's the truth.
- I didn't want to write sai's name down... - Yeah.
And then I felt like I had to.
And now I'm questioning,
is every conversation I've had up to this point...
Genuine at all?
It just hurts that people
that you thought you trusted in this game
weren't being honest with you.
I think we were afraid because you guys seemed like this.
Well, yeah, totally,
but I wouldn't have, like, you know,
put my whole game on the line for her.
At this point, I don't know where I stand.
And on top of that,
I need to talk with the person whose name I put down tonight,
'cause I don't want that to blow up my game.
I'm just more frustrated in this moment,
'cause I didn't want to put your name down.
Yeah.
I'm the cat with nine lives.
Going into tribal council, I felt like
I might see my name once or twice but not five times.
That was a little dramatic.
These people are absolutely obsessed with me.
I tried to fight for it not to go that way.
And everyone looked me in the face and said,
"no, this is the way it's gonna go."
Mitch told me
that he was trying to advocate for me,
but he's voted for me twice,
so I didn't really believe him.
I was so glad you were even willing to talk to me.
No...
So, moving forward, I'd like to see
Mitch go.
Same. I don't know where the... I don't...
So, I received one vote at tribal council.
I didn't expect to see my name written down, however,
which makes me a little bit concerned.
The handwriting was beautiful,
and it didn't look like a guy's handwriting.
So I thought, could it be sai?
But I had been to tribals before with sai
and had never seen that penmanship.
And unless she was saving this penmanship
for writing my name down, who knows?
But that's definitely been sai's type of game play.
Honestly, I think it was charity.
Me, too. I said the same thing.
There was a random vote on cedrek,
I have no idea where that came from.
But, no, it was me. I needed to get my lick back.
I did it just because he voted for me twice.
Do not take that personal.
No, I didn't, I didn't take... I was just confused.
I purposely wrote it in cursive
so nobody would know it was my handwriting.
And it did exactly what it was supposed to do,
'cause I wanted to spook him a little bit.
He literally is panicking over one vote,
and I needed him to feel a little bit of the heat,
see what it feels like to have your name written down,
especially by somebody you really thought you trusted.
Look at this purple.
Yeah.
Middle of the sky.
What a morning.
You know, it's gonna be a good day, guys.
Yeah.
Coming into this game, I knew that
I was gonna have a hard time emotionally,
if I was hurt or lied to.
Mitch, how you doing?
Good.
We need to talk. Let's chat.
Yesterday,
I got blindsided by people who I love and trusted.
And it was just a lot to...
To-to-to... to take in.
I knew that charity's name was on the block
and was told specifically not to tell you
- because you're close to charity. - Yeah.
I think being blindsided
was just a rude awakening, but...
Like, I can't sit here and be frustrated.
I'm playing a game.
So I got to put
a smile on my face and move forward
and pick up wherever I can.
I totally get how come people didn't tell me.
It's, like, totally fine.
To me, I didn't know you guys were besties.
- Yeah. - I'm looking at it like,
"why does it matter which one goes?"
I know I have a lot of work to do, but I'm just
happy I'm still here in this game.
How many kids do you have in your classes?
It's, like, almost 50.
They're gonna be so excited.
The best way to connect with people is to share stories
outside of this game.
Do you coach the tennis team as well, or no?
- You do. Okay, cool... - Yeah.
But before I was doing that,
I was, like, a, a, postman.
- Letter carrier. - What? - Yeah.
- I was m... - Letter carrier.
I was mailman Mitch.
Super good money, good benefits...
- Right? Benefits and all that. - Why'd you bail?
Because I just felt super conflicted
that I, like, wasn't just doing enough
with this story, that I have.
So I took a massive pay cut and decided to go...
Try and teach.
I just had a heartfelt conversation
with Joe and shauhin.
That's so awesome.
If I can build some trust there,
then I'm hopeful I can make it another 24 hours
out here.
Do you ever do, like, survivor games with your pe classes?
I haven't yet.
- But you're gonna have to now. - Like, yeah.
Mitch seems like a wonderful person.
And we're really starting to bond,
but we're getting pretty deep in the game.
And Mitch is super talented. I respect him.
And he's just a competitor.
I watch him.
And keeping him around, he could win this thing easily.
I mean, that's a guy,
because of his social game, his story,
and that awesome feat that he has done
to perform very well in these challenges.
Who wouldn't vote for him, right?
I think shauhin, for sure.
Eva. Mitch, for sure.
It's weird.
My name has been written down so many times.
I've been playing a game
where lots of people have not liked me.
And every time I have my name written down,
it feels like I shouldn't be here.
So that can feel like a lot,
but I've always been shown that life is tough.
It's just about what you do moving forward.
So I'm going to socialize
with the people with a position of power in this game.
Glad to actually meet you now.
Yeah.
Like, I hadn't spoken to y'all, and I don't want to be fake,
but it's really hard for me to build genuine connections
and then turn around and be like, "you got to go."
It's just not in me.
I genuine just cannot do surface level.
Sai came over to talk to me,
which was a little surprising
because we've never really connected.
And what it came down to is, if sai knows that you don't
like her or you're, like, not her people,
and then you're like, "hey, come sit with us."
She's gonna be like, "Jack that. You don't like me.
Why are you doing that?"
She views it as fake.
As opposed to, if you go to sai and you go,
"hey, we have a problem. We need to figure it out."
I think she'll respect that.
I mean, obviously, you know I wrote down your name last night.
- Yeah. - All right.
I don't take any of it personally.
I appreciate you being like, "I wrote your name down."
I do feel you are someone that I could work with.
Yes, for sure.
In another universe, like,
if we would have started on the same tribes,
I think sai and I actually would have worked together,
because she's the type of person
that I wanted to work with coming out here
someone who's strategic, smart,
and came to play this game hard.
- This was cool. I respect it. - It was cool.
- Same. Yeah. - Thanks. Appreciate it.
But at the end of the day,
sai is in a lot of danger right now.
And she's not the only person
running around and talking to everybody.
We're here, day number 14. So what's the word?
- What are we doing? - I don't know.
One thing that I'm not doing, I'm not flipping anywhere.
- I'm not trying to start an insurrection. - Yeah, of course.
You know, I just want to, like, play the game.
And then, obviously, it gets a little bit more messy
when you get down to eight, seven, six.
Yeah, this game's getting crazy?
It's crazy.
This morning,
cedrek, sai and Mitch each came and talked to me.
Those are the three people on the outs.
And this is what they should be doing.
They should be having those conversations with people
like me right now.
I don't think anyone else would join them.
- No. - So close to the jury.
They would be blowing up their game.
I'm kind of in the middle
of absolutely everything,
and I think any move that needs to be made
would have to be made using me.
I feel like I am in pretty good control of the tribe.
And if I can maintain that control,
I will win this game.
Come on in.
Boy.
What's up, Jeff?
What's up?
Survivor 48.
- What's up, Jeff? - Hey, Jeff.
Morning, Jeff.
Down to 12.
All right.
Shall we get to today's immunity challenge?
- Whoo-ee! - Whoo!
First things first, Kyle.
Got to take back the necklace.
So purty.
- Thank you. - Looked good on you, brother...
Looks good on you, man.
Good job. Good job.
Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.
For today's challenge,
you're gonna hold on to a handle
connected to a bucket containing 25%
of your pregame body weight.
As your hands start to fatigue,
that bucket's gonna lower.
When it finally drops, smashes your tile,
you're out.
Last person left standing wins immunity.
There is a twist to today's challenge.
Of course.
You're gonna be randomly divided into two groups of six.
The person who lasts the longest for each group
will earn immunity.
Let's go.
So two people will be safe tonight,
and that matters because
both groups are going to tribal council.
Both groups are gonna vote somebody out.
You're also playing for a reward.
- Want to know what you're playing for? - Yes.
The person who lasts the longest out of everybody
earns for their group
a do-it-yourself peanut butter and jelly afternoon.
With chips and juice,
and you earn the right to go to tribal council second.
And that matters because the person voted out
at the first tribal council won't make the jury.
You won't even have a say in who wins this game.
Big enough stakes?
Yes.
Should we draw for teams?
Yes.
- Please, Jeff. - Let's do it.
Here we go. Game is turning right here.
All right, so let's review our two teams.
We have, on orange, star, Joe, Mitch,
Chrissy, Eva and sai.
On purple, we have Kyle, shauhin,
cedrek, Mary, David and kamilla.
One person from each group's gonna have immunity.
Whoever lasts the longest will earn for your group
those two big rewards
food and going to tribal council second.
All right, we're gonna draw for spots.
We'll get it on. Here we go.
- Let's do it. - Let's go.
- Let's freaking go. - It's gonna be good.
All right, everybody put your hands on your handle
and click it back.
Yep, that click is what you want.
All right, everybody has clicked into position,
and this challenge is on.
25% of your pregame body weight.
You're gonna have to dig in to what is left in your reserve.
Cedrek is out after about 20 seconds.
Cedrek gonna be first on the bench.
No shot at immunity,
but that doesn't mean he won't be eating this afternoon.
The two players who last the longest,
one on orange, one on purple, will each earn immunity,
but the person who lasts the longest overall
also earns for their group reward.
Keep digging.
You never know what the other players are feeling.
Star drops. Star is out for orange.
We're down to five for orange and five for purple.
I don't care who you are. You are feeling it.
Everybody fighting for this.
Chrissy with a little bit more of a drop.
Come on, Chris.
Chrissy getting closer. Chrissy's out.
We're down to four on orange.
Sai drops. Sai is out. We're down to three on orange.
Peanut butter.
Kamilla drops for purple.
We're down to four on purple.
You now got a shot at immunity and reward.
Mary's bucket is about halfway down.
That is not good.
She's gonna try to wrench it back up.
- But she's losing the battle. - Come on.
Mary very close to dropping.
Mary's out.
We're down to three on each color.
It is Eva, Joe and Mitch battling for immunity.
It is David, Kyle, and shauhin battling for purple.
Shauhin wrenching that bucket back up.
- Get it, shauhin. - Yeah, shauhin.
It's what you got to do out here.
You got to fight.
Come on, orange. You got it.
Eva has not budged in this challenge.
- Beast mode, Eva. Beast. Beast. - Come on, girl. That's my girl.
- Yes, Eva. - Peanut butter.
Joe now going to the seated position.
Mitch in a bit of a squat.
Shauhin losing his bucket again.
But shauhin, once again, trying to wrench it back.
Fight for it. Fight for it, brother.
- Can he get it? - You can do it, shauhin.
- Come on, man. - Starting to tear that skin now.
This is where you really are reminded you're on survivor.
There's no cushion on that handle.
Good job. Good job.
- Good job. - Now Mitch starting to lower.
- Mitch now going to pull it back up. - He's crazy.
- That's how you do it, Mitch. - Good effort.
Mitch, you want this
Joe now gonna wrench his back up.
- Good effort. - We want this, guys.
Good effort.
We want this, guys. We want this.
Come on.
- Shauhin can't hold on any longer. - Hey, that's a good fight.
Shauhin is out. We got a showdown on purple.
David versus Kyle.
And on orange, we have Eva versus Joe versus Mitch.
- You got this, Mitch. - You got it, Mitch.
Mitch digging in again.
- Anguish on the face. - You're doing amazing, Mitch.
Does not want to drop.
Come on.
Mitch drops.
- He's out. - Good job, Mitch.
We got a showdown now on both sides.
It is Eva versus Joe.
It is David versus Kyle.
Two immunities on the line and a big reward.
I love competing against you boys.
- This is fun. - I love it, Eva.
That's right. Show 'em how, Eva. Show 'em.
Yeah, let's go, Eva.
Show 'em women power, baby.
You're incredible.
You can't tell what Eva's feeling,
but what she's showing is very clear.
Solid.
This is what it's all about, guys.
Kyle's already won that necklace.
It looked good on him.
He's imagining wearing it again.
Yeah, I look good in everything, Jeff.
There you go.
- Yeah, you got me? - Yeah.
All right, I'll try and make it interesting for you.
Survivor smack talk.
I can do this all day, buddy.
Man. I'm-a see.
Montage of smack talk.
It's time. Cue the music.
- Nice. - I got you.
Give me a little more of that, shauhin.
You don't want to go up to the top?
I haven't moved, this is where it started.
I don't know, I think you had to start up there where I was.
Nah, just start it right here.
Yeah, come join us, David.
- Mine's higher than yours. - Bop to the top, buddy.
You...
Yeah, how's second place look on you?
Whoa, the smack talk is going to another level now.
- Is Eva talking over there? - Yeah.
Don't wear yourself out, man, seriously.
Eva, you're on a lake in Michigan skiing, baby.
Minnesota, baby.
I'm sorry. God.
It's like you guys don't know me at all.
Yeah, bro.
It's pretty good.
Thanks.
Here all day.
Coming up on 15 minutes in this challenge.
Wow.
That's awesome, y'all.
Let's go, here. Let's go.
- Fifteen minutes. - Fifteen minutes.
You guys can do this.
With respect, cedrek, he lasted about 15 seconds, so...
It's okay. I'm here.
- Yep. - I'm here.
Thank you, Jeff, for this. This... this is fun.
You're welcome, David. Thanks for being out here.
Appreciate you.
This is my job.
- We get this for free. - It's true.
Body by Jeff.
Body by Jeff.
Yeah, p90 who?
Working on grip strength. Holy...
Welcome to the show.
Today, we're working on biceps.
They're the reason I don't take my shirt off on this show.
Hey, man, you can't be all things.
- Yeah, you can't be all things. - Whoa.
Thanks, Jeff.
It is a bit of a fitness magazine cover shoot.
Kyle wrenching it back up once again,
right to the top.
Good job, Kyle.
- You good, man? - Yeah, I'm good.
I just ripped some skin open.
- Did you say you ripped some skin? - Yeah, yeah.
It's fine. I'm good.
It's a callus.
Yeah, it's a wart. It's a wart.
It's a wart.
Y'all are haters, man.
Haters in the building, Kyle.
A lot of haters on the benches, too.
Good job, guys.
Eva, for the first time, showing
a little bit of slippage.
You're doing amazing.
- You're gonna have to dig in, Eva. - You go, Eva.
- You got this. - Eva dropping more and more.
This is not looking good.
Don't you quit now. You hear me?
Yep.
Don't you quit now.
Eva has held it off now for a long time.
Don't you quit now.
Eva fighting to stay in it.
Fight it. Pull it back.
Pull it back.
Eva drops. Joe has won individual immunity.
Eva.
- Eva, you're amazing. - Hey, let's go here, Joe. Let's go here.
Joe, hang in there.
We got a showdown now between Joe,
who's already won immunity, and David versus Kyle.
Kyle gonna wrench his back up.
He didn't want to risk it.
You got it?
I got this.
Kyle drops.
David wins individual immunity.
Here we go. This is what you want.
Come on, Joe.
It is Joe versus David.
Both have won individual immunity.
Now you're fighting for reward back at camp.
Peanut butter. Jelly.
Plus, you go to tribal council last.
And the silver lining is, even for the person voted out,
they're part of the jury.
- They get to decide who wins this game. - Hey, Joe.
I'll let you know right now, man.
I'm doing all right.
Okay, man.
So is he, David.
So is he.
I know he is.
He's actually feeling amazing.
I know he is.
Been up there 22 minutes.
Wow.
38 minutes is the current record.
Gabler, in that legendary challenge
where he was shouting out
to everybody from his past.
We could be here a while.
You have set a new record now at 39 minutes,
- longest anyone has lasted. - What? -Wow.
- Good job, Joe. - Yes.
- Good job, Joe! - Yeah!
- We want some more. We want some more. - Well done, boys.
Well done.
When you're breaking records in the 48th season
of survivor, something's going right.
We got the rock versus captain america.
I know.
We got this, Joe.
That's right, Joe.
That's right, baby.
There ain't no running out of this fire, Joe.
You're staying in and putting it out.
Thank you.
- Forty-four minutes you've been up there. - Wow.
You're doing great, Joe.
Thank you.
David's moving.
- My god. David. - David.
Right after this challenge, you can see the commercial.
"Survivor's not easy. Apply now."
I'm gonna do that.
Let's do it right now.
Survivor's not easy.
Get off the couch and apply.
There you go.
This is what we wanted, baby.
For sure, brother.
I think we need to go an hour, Jeff.
- Let's go. - My god.
I got nothing but time.
Us neither.
- Yeah. - Yeah, what are we gonna do?
Fifty-two minutes now.
- Wow. - My god. - Wow.
Incredible.
That is a long time, and that is a lot of pain.
I know.
I got a lot of respect for Joe here.
I mean, he's a father... something I hope to be one day.
And I know he's fighting for them right now,
and I can see it in his eyes.
- Joe now gonna get back into it. - There you go, Joe.
- Good job. Good job. - Hell yeah, baby.
Another surge of energy.
Wrenching that bucket back up top.
You're a warrior, man.
Wow.
- Not giving up. - Unreal.
- Bro, mad respect, man. Mad respect. - You, too, brother.
Bro.
- Seriously, you, too, man. - Seriously.
I mean it.
I mean that.
Joe drops!
This is over.
Joe wins individual immunity.
David wins individual immunity
and David earns, for his group, - bro, come here.
Food reward and going to tribal council last.
Incredible.
Wow.
- Huge effort by David and Joe. - Wow.
Set a new record.
Lasted nearly an hour.
- Good job. - Good job.
Every part of their bodies has to be hurting right now.
Bro, that was incredible.
Good job.
Joe, come on over.
Yeah.
Yeah, Joe!
Huge effort.
Season 48, we are still setting records.
You are safe tonight.
Cannot be voted out of this game.
You will live to see another day.
What's the feeling right now?
Because I could tell both you and David
had some inner drive beyond survivor going.
'Cause that is a very long time to sit up there.
My kids.
Just trying to show 'em when you don't think you can, and...
Just try to fight.
And just make sure when pain's in your face,
you just lean into it.
So, when you're thinking of your kids, are you literally
just imagining them and imagining them watch this?
What is it?
I'm just saying their name,
like j-a-y-d-e and Joseph over and over again.
And just them cheering for me.
All right, Joe. Congrats. You're safe tonight.
Thank you.
- Yeah, Joe. - Good job, Joe.
- Yeah, Joe. - Yeah, Joe.
David, come on over.
Yeah, David.
Congratulations.
Immunity is yours.
You two safe tonight at tribal council.
In addition, you've won a big reward.
You win the food.
You're all gonna go back to your camp.
Peanut butter and jelly afternoon.
Chips, juice. In addition,
you will go to tribal council second.
And as I said, that matters.
Because, at the very least,
the person voted out from your group will make the jury.
You will have some say in who wins this game.
Grab your stuff, head back to camp, where you will enjoy
- an afternoon of food... - Enjoy it, guys.
Yes. Yes. Come on.
And going to tribal council last.
Enjoy.
- Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. - Enjoy.
Good job, guys. Good job, David.
Killed it, man.
All right, Joe, star,
Chrissy, Mitch, sai, Eva, got nothing for you.
Grab your stuff. You are heading back to the old civa camp...
My god.
Where you will spend the afternoon
and go to tribal directly from there,
where somebody will be the seventh person
voted out of survivor 48.
Grab your stuff, head out.
I'm mentally and emotionally drained.
I'm the only one left who hasn't
had an opportunity to eat something on a reward.
And to make matters worse,
the person going home tonight is
one spot away from being on the jur...
On the jury.
Peanut butter and chips? My god.
- Thank... David, thank you so much, dude. - All right, man.
- David, thank you so much. - Thank you, David.
We saw a battle royale
that will go down in the history books of survivor.
Dude, we got to see a record set on survivor.
Sick.
Thank you.
David and Joe.
Like, captain america versus the rock.
Like, come on. And I'm front row. It was awesome.
I'll tell you what, man. You look pretty good.
- This is amazingly good. - How's it feel
- to set a record, David? - Man.
Can I tell you, from a fan perspective?
That was one of the coolest things to see.
- My god. - Yeah.
- Got right front seat to it. - Two titans.
- That was incredible. - Thank you.
I won that challenge, my first immunity challenge.
All this muscle mass.
I never had any doubt whatsoever.
- Peanut butter? - I got some, thank you.
Going into tonight,
ced is the only person I really want to see going home tonight.
I have a strong alliance.
We have an abundance of food.
And getting the win at the immunity challenge?
I'm feeling good. I feel like
I am in the number one spot,
the best position I could ever be in.
And we made the jury.
- We made the jury. - Yeah. - Wow.
- We made the jury. - That's it.
- None of us are going home early. - Wait, guys.
- Do you know what this means? - What's that?
Sai's not gonna make the jury.
- You think she's the one? - I think so. - Yeah.
I have some concern about
my position in this group.
- Cheers, y'all. - Cheers.
Because I have no alliances in this group.
And I got a vote at last night's tribal council.
So, the initial thought was, "the target's me.
I'm gonna be the one that goes home tonight."
Do we know who gets voted out?
They'll go first, we'll go second.
We won't know what happened.
It looks like cedrek is probably gonna
be the one going home today because
he doesn't have any sort
of preexisting alliances with anybody.
But with only six people on this island,
maybe there's an opportunity to make a move.
Shauhin is a part of a strong
majority that I've been working with,
but I don't trust shauhin because shauhin went
through my bag, and is a good liar.
I sat there and watched him lie to my face.
I know that I would be somebody that he takes a shot at.
I just don't know when that is, and
at some point, I want to stop looking over my shoulder.
You know, tonight,
even though, you know, I have the immunity,
we got to go to tribal first,
we don't get to eat anything,
and we're going back to civa.
And why that matters, civa... we don't even have flint,
we don't have a machete, we don't have a pot.
Welcome to civa, guys.
Yeah, home sweet home.
And on top of it,
whoever gets voted out does not make the jury.
So who do we not want on the jury
is really the question.
You guys have, papayas, you said?
We can go check and see if there's any ripe ones,
but this tree right here... underneath it
tons of freaking almonds.
But right now, I think the people overall
that are on the outs are Mitch and sai.
Should we talk or no?
That's on you. If you want to.
I mean, we can talk.
But we haven't talked strategy, ever.
Nope.
But I'm pretty much, like, the easiest vote here,
so I don't really feel like I have much...
Pull, you know?
Simply because of the votes
that happened last night at tribal council,
I knew I was on the bottom,
I know I'm on the top of people's minds.
That is very scary. So, I need to make sure
it's not my torch that's being snuffed.
I don't know where anybody's here head is at.
I have no idea. I genuinely have no clue.
Joe, I haven't spoken to at all,
but I think he's the old-school type,
where he's locked in with his people and he's good to go.
So, he wasn't saying anything,
but I'm not gonna give up.
I could wallow
in all of those times that people wrote my name down,
but I get back up.
- Can I steal you? - Yeah.
I'm gonna work the room and get through another vote.
I'm literally the cat with nine lives at this point.
- Okay. - Okay.
And because you voted for me twice, I have no...
- Yeah. - Qualms with it.
Okay. I'm not working with him.
- Okay, cool. - That works for me.
I just want to make sure you knew where I am now.
Mitch has voted for me twice.
That was my last straw, really.
So, my plan is I need to plant seeds
that Mitch is dangerous.
I've had no good connection with Mitch or Chrissy.
I'm afraid to strike at Mitch, though,
because of the block a vote.
I just learned about the block a vote at the merge feast.
Sai could definitely be the vote tonight because
she creates chaos and it really rubs people the wrong way.
We wanted to get her out before,
and we split votes with her and charity.
I would have been happy with either of them going home.
Charity went home, and so,
now, logically, the next person is sai.
That's who I want, too.
That's who we voted for yesterday.
- Yeah. - Me too.
Mitch, on the other hand
I just haven't really connected with him very much.
He's a person who could be a danger later
'cause he's very good at all these
funky little challenges,
and he's very much a social threat
'cause people like him.
So, it's a lot to weigh out between those two choices.
This is a really important vote
that can have, like, a huge impact on your game,
because whoever goes home will not be on the jury.
Man.
- All right, let's... Let's talk. - So...
What are you thinking, big dog?
You know it's pretty easy, unfortunately. Yeah.
The only part that's hard is what do we tell him?
Who would he find most believable?
Which scares me, 'cause if he gets spooked
and plays his shot in the dark, that's my game.
- God. - If he plays his shot in the dark,
he doesn't have a vote.
- Right. - True. - Yeah, so we just...
Right. Okay.
- So we're all good. - Right. Right.
- Okay, good, man. - Yeah.
Everyone we're working with is loyal.
I think so, too.
There's so many seasons. Just manipulation and back stabs
- and all this... - And that's part of the game, but...
It is part of the game, but it doesn't have to be so early.
Yeah.
Finding out that I'm being used
as a smokescreen is concerning.
If survivor is a game of trust,
tonight's the night where I have to bank on that trust.
My torch absolutely could get snuffed tonight.
But I think David means it.
I think he really does want to battle it out
with the big boys at the end.
I think that means a lot to him.
And I don't mind that.
Because I think what ends up happening is,
the freak athletes want to go at each other.
At some point, they're gonna wake up.
And they're not gonna wake up and look at me.
Mary and David want to pitch cedrek me.
I'm not panicked or anything, but it's certainly,
- like, it's not ideal. - Yeah.
Shauhin is the decoy vote.
This is perfect. This could be an opportunity, because
I have had my eyes on shauhin for quite some time.
In my mind,
I'm kind of working with the devil you know.
- Listen, I think shauhin makes no sense. - Yeah.
Cedrek would definitely be on board.
That's who's actually going home tonight.
So, if we were to take out shauhin,
maybe I have a little bit less fear in this game about
whether he's gonna take a shot at me.
So, shauhin's gonna vote you.
So I'll probably have one for me
- and five would be for shauhin. - Yeah.
There's clearly an opportunity to vote shauhin out,
as opposed to voting me out.
I think that
Kyle is somebody that I've come to find
that I could potentially trust in this game.
I will connect with kamilla to make sure that she's on.
But I still think there's a lot of scrambling
and conversations happening.
How are you feeling?
Like, I feel even when we get to talk,
I have to, like, say, like, 19 words to you.
Yeah. I am just so glad
that we both have somehow managed to escape everything.
And we just keep ending up in, like, insane positions
- where we're, like, really safe. - Yeah.
Kamilla and I are the most undercover duo
I think this game has ever seen.
We went through some stuff at vula.
We really had to pull some tricks.
And I think that we could really maneuver
in a way that would allow us to go deep into this game.
We're, like, super-insulated right now.
- Yeah. - But I'm just scared of, like,
how things might end up down the line.
- With, like, Joe, - you think? - Not Joe. Shauhin.
He has been the person who has scared me most
- since we played this game. - Yeah.
Bianca/tom scared me, but I'm... they're gone.
- Yeah. - David, I think.
David is with us, and I think he would ride with us.
- You get what I'm saying? - Yeah.
Or even a rumor or something.
If we can brainstorm something
that gets into David's head,
then we can do whatever we want.
But David's got to believe it.
If we decided to take shauhin out,
we'd probably have to lie to David,
and we'd have to tell him that shauhin did something
that threatened our games.
So if we can get David on board tonight,
we could make a move against shauhin.
Yes.
- This is crazy. - This is crazy.
- This is crazy. - This is insane.
The only thing I'm a little scared about: There's idols.
- Eva's? - Eva has an idol.
Then, the morning after Kyle played his,
we all went to the water well together.
Someone hung back a little bit.
Who?
You think shauhin has the idol?
I have a feeling that shauhin has an idol.
Dude.
We're gonna frame shauhin.
So, what I try and do is spin this story of how
shauhin has an idol and he wants to make a big move.
And I need something super-incriminating
for David to flip on shauhin.
- He is a smart player. - Yeah.
You know, we suspect shauhin.
- Yeah. - I think we have to be skeptical of him,
- but I do trust him. - Yeah.
Did you sign your name?
- No. - If I vote out cedrek,
I keep the strong five intact.
The strong five
is me, Kyle, Joe, Eva and shauhin.
Those are the five that I actually want to see
in the final five because I want a strong competitor
to win season 48 of survivor.
However, shauhin's smart.
And shauhin also might have an idol.
I think he's looking to make a move.
And there is concern with shauhin
flipping on the strong five.
I think that's something we need to be worried about.
But cedrek wants to be a number so bad
that he's willing to do anything, and that's dangerous.
So voting out ced
and voting out shauhin both have consequences.
So I have to ask myself, "which relationships do I want to keep"
"moving forward, and which ones
is it time to cut?"
And yesterday.
And the day before.
Like, can... Can I catch a break?
I was devastated when we lost.
I just... keep falling short.
Sai and Mitch are on the bottom of my alliances.
So even though
I don't trust sai, Mitch is all over the place.
I don't know if it's because he hasn't eaten or whatnot.
I know he's hungry, and this game is starting
to mentally and physically get to him.
And here's another thing.
A strong competitor. I mean, challenges, wow.
He's got a great story.
So all these things combined
that's where it's scaring me now.
Yup.
Mitch is friggin'... he's
I don't know. He's been scaring me. I don't know
- where his head's at. Like... - Yeah. Well, that would
be a smart move because he's so good at challenges.
- True, true. - You know what I'm saying?
That's, like, if we're keeping all the strong,
- he's skinny, but he's strong. - Yeah. Yeah.
We need to take out the strong people
in order to give anybody a fighting chance at this game,
or even making it to final seven, final five.
And Mitch definitely is a strong competitor.
- There's a lot of strong people. - Yes, exactly.
It's gonna be strong against the weaker people.
Basically.
In this game of survivor,
I'm plotting to get rid of the physical threats
because here's the thing.
I understand some people out here are looking
and have goals for the jury.
I personally have goals beyond the jury.
I don't want to decide who's gonna get my million dollars.
I want to be on the top three,
deciding where my million dollars will be coming from,
from whoever will be voting for me.
I don't want to make the jury. That's them suckers.
I want to make final three.
You, I, star are not a threat.
- Yes. - Mitch-Mitch is a threat.
- I agree. - Mitch is good.
- But you're not... now. - I am not. I am not.
- I am not... - I am not.
He has... me through twice.
I already knew that I wanted to get Mitch out.
And I don't want to jinx it.
But Chrissy approached me,
and she hasn't not done what she said she was going to do.
She voted for Bianca when she said
she was gonna vote for Bianca.
She voted for charity when she said
she was gonna vote for charity.
- Don't think he'll use the block a vote? - No, no.
Even if he does, as long as our names aren't down there.
That's true.
She's been a woman of her word, and so I feel
a little bit more confident since
this strategy is coming from somebody
who has proven that they're actually gonna
do what they say they will.
- I wouldn't do you dirty. - No, no.
We're good, we're good, we're good.
I think things are falling in place for Mitch.
The problem I have is I don't one million percent trust sai.
She's chaos, she's-she's... She's a pain in the butt,
you know, at camp, and this, tribal council means a lot.
So it's really important
to get the right people out before the jury,
and to get, like, the right people on the jury.
I got her thinking that you guys are gonna go Mitch.
Okay.
Yeah.
Is that because... a little birdie told me
you had a block the vote.
- Yes. - Okay.
And if she doesn't have a vote, she can't play
her shot in the dark.
I've been thinking about what to do
with my secret block a vote.
I think I'm going to use it
against sai tonight, and I hope this
builds trust with Joe.
At this point in the game,
I don't know who I can trust at all, Joe.
- Okay. - I'm saying this
because I want to work with you moving forward.
- Okay. - Okay?
I think the safe move tonight
is sai because everyone wants sai out,
and we don't want her on the jury.
But the smartest game play move would be Mitch.
He's honestly, probably, the biggest threat in this game.
He knows how to do individual challenges,
his social game, his story.
I mean, he's one of those ones that sneaks in and wins it.
Chrissy, who do you think they'll get rid of?
Well, if they're playing dumb, then yes.
But if they're playing smart,
they'd get rid of somebody that was, like, scarier.
If they were smart, they go shauhin.
I think shauhin makes the most sense because
I've been worried about him since day one.
- Yeah. - And shauhin, like...
Yeah.
Going into tribal council tonight,
I've heard my name,
and I've also heard shauhin's name, but
after having the conversations with David and Kyle,
I'm hoping that it's gonna be shauhin
as opposed to me tonight.
Tonight, at least for me, is about cashing in
on some trust that I've built between me,
Kyle, kamilla and David.
I get to put my trust in their hands,
and hopefully... I'm not a sucker.
Getting to the jury... this is a pivotal moment.
The objective is to just make it one more day,
and just make sure that whatever name is said last
is not Mitch.
I have butted heads with a lot of people.
It does not scare me when I see my name anymore.
I don't panic.
There's a lot of fallen soldiers,
and I'm not one of 'em.
What's up, Jeff?
Hey, Joe.
Good evening.
Good evening, Chrissy.
Let's start with the challenge.
Joe, you and David crushed a record.
It was a great performance, an epic challenge,
and when I asked you what drove you to last so long,
you said, "my kids."
And now with this jury question,
where the person voted out will not make the jury,
are we at a point in the game
where you're really starting to see the end
and remember why you're out here?
Yeah, Jeff, I think that, at this point,
you're missing home,
you're missing your family, your loved ones,
and you look at the numbers, and you can
kind of see the finish line for the first time.
That's why tonight is gonna be so interesting,
'cause the end is right there.
Star, what did you see
play out after the challenge?
You all go back to the old civa camp.
How'd that go?
We all go back to the old civa camp
and you just kind of basically have to see
where is everyone head, what is everybody thinking
and, for the life of god, is it me?
Eva, that's the question. "Is it me?"
And there's so many ways to slice this.
Last tribal, we talked about relationships
and how they can become emotional.
Well, that can become an asset.
That can also be seen as very threatening.
Yeah, definitely. All of us have
different types of relationships with each other.
We've been on tribes
with different combinations of people.
There's people here that I only met a couple days ago because
I'd never been on a tribe with them.
And it is really crazy how
a random rock draw can pull all that out.
So, Chrissy,
what do you do when you get back to camp,
another new group, some of whom you just met?
Well, we all said
we're all gonna talk to each other,
and it was no big, "hee, hee, hee.
This is a secret. I'm gonna run off and talk to somebody."
Everybody knew that everybody
was gonna talk to each other. And that's basically
what we did. We all, like,
just kept switching partners.
Like, what would you call that... the tango,
- yeah. - Or what kind of dance would that be?
We know I dance... this is it.
Club condo is the same every night for me.
Sai, how would you describe this vote in terms
of others? You've been to tribal a lot.
Yeah, you keep reminding me of that.
I was ready to tango.
I was really excited because
these are two people that I hadn't spoken to,
and I was afraid it would bite me in the butt
and be my detriment tonight,
but I felt like I had honest conversations.
I really did, and that's one of the things that I look for
when I'm talking to people is they're honest and genuine.
Chrissy, why are you smiling?
Sai and I have always had a pretty good relationship
and I love her to death, but I do find it funny
that people use the word "honest" and "loyalty"
in this game, and we're playing survivor.
If you play honest, it's just not the game.
I don't think honest and loyal is gonna
win you a million dollars. So, sooner or later,
we have to break this honest loyalty thing
and start going at each other.
But you know, Jeff,
everybody plays this game differently.
There are players that have made it to the end
with a tight alliance that didn't get crazy
and lying and cheating and stealing.
It can happen.
But, to me, you got to
make moves and you got to have that rรฉsumรฉ
at the end of the game.
And if we're all honest and loyal to each other,
who's gonna have the rรฉsumรฉ?
We're just all gonna be Kumbaya walking in there,
and the best guy with the best story wins?
I don't like that, 'cause guys like Joe, guys like David
are-are beasts. You know, they're...
And they got great story. I want to give them
the million dollars right now.
So, the little guys like me, the older person,
not so great in challenges... I have to somehow find my way
and-and figure out how I can get to the top,
but it's not gonna be by loyal and honesty.
At some point... I'm not saying right now... but at some point,
- it's gonna have to happen. - Mitch,
and there's the rub. Chrissy was quick
to add, "I'm not saying tonight."
- Right. - "At some point, but not right now.
But I will lie soon, but not today,"
is what I got out of that testament.
Yes, Jeff.
What's so hard is, at some point,
you've got to start making moves.
But sometimes
the best move to make is the smart one.
What did you notice this afternoon
with tribal on the line?
Well, the past two tribal councils,
I've been on the wrong side of the vote.
Like, I had zero clue
who was telling me the truth.
So, I want to show people that they can trust me,
I'm going to do what I said I was going to do,
and that's it.
There's two sides to look at Mitch's argument, Joe.
One is that he's vulnerable.
He was on the wrong side of the vote.
He might not know what's happening today.
Let's take him out. The other side is,
he was on the wrong side of the vote.
There's an opportunity. He needs, as he said,
- to start over. - Yeah, Jeff.
When somebody says, "hey, you know what?"
"I had a rough tribal, and I'm trying
to get back on my feet and move forward,"
I feel that that's a perfect opportunity
to build relationships, because you never know
who you're gonna need or who needs you and vice versa.
This game changes so quickly.
So I feel it's truly, more of an asset to say, "hey",
"well, let's talk about that.
How do you want to move forward?"
And hopefully those games align.
And on that note, it is time to vote.
Chrissy, you're up.
All right.
I'll go tally the votes.
If anybody has an advantage
or an idol and you want to play it,
now would be the time to do so.
All right. I'll read the votes.
First vote:
Sai.
Sai. That's two votes sai.
Seventh person voted out of survivor 48:
Sai. That's three. That's enough.
Need to bring me your torch.
Thanks for the ride.
Glad you came out.
Sai, the tribe has spoken.
Bye, sai.
Bye. Good luck
- to everybody, seriously. - Time for you to go.
Love you, sai.
Thank you.
Grab your torches. Head back to camp.
We'll bring in the next group.
I got voted out, but that's probably because I'm a threat.
I think that they are obsessed with me, first of all.
And these hoochies are lucky
that they got me out when they did.
If they let me get any further in this game,
they would have been out of the game
as soon as I got the chance.
All right, let's start by talking
about the fundamental difference between the first
tribal council tonight and this tribal council,
which is obvious.
The person you vote out tonight will be a member of the jury.
They will have a million-dollar vote.
So, kamilla, was that one of the central topics today
when discussing who to vote out?
Yeah. Like, you want
to make sure that the people who are sitting
on the jury are people that are cool with you,
are people that respect the way you played this game.
They are gonna be one out of the nine people
who decide whether or not you get that million dollars.
Then, shauhin, every player is looking
through their own lens
at that construction of the jury because
not all of you are gonna see each other in the same way.
I'll be honest, I think the time
for planning, like, who's gonna be on the jury
and who's gonna stay, and
I think that might be a little tiny bit early.
Whereas right now, we still are trying to figure out exactly
where the alliances are
because the longevity of our game also requires
that we get to play with people that
we think we can trust, that we think we can count on.
And in order to get to the thing
that we all want, which is final tribal council,
we have to prove it tonight.
Cedrek, do you agree with shauhin that right now
it's about firming up alliances and still
making sure "I have a group that can go deeper"?
Well, it's like this, Jeff.
Game recognizes game.
Iron sharpens iron.
We've all seen the brilliant game play
of the people sitting around us,
and that undoubtedly, regardless how much you say it's early,
it's ultimately about respecting the great game play
that we're sitting next to.
Kyle, that sounds to me like
maybe tonight is an opportunity to take out a great player,
not solidify an alliance.
Yeah, Jeff, I think tonight is about
the difference between short-term versus long-term,
but it's still difficult to tell exactly
where those lines are, and a lot of the conversations
that I've heard have kind of talked about that.
You know, we want to solidify something more solid long-term,
show that we can work together in this game,
and I think that's ultimately what this is about.
David, how about for you?
What did you see happening today
with the luxury of that necklace?
You know, you do feel like you have power. You have safety.
You sort of run the vote, in a way.
And people are coming to you to wonder,
"what are you gonna do? What are y... what is your move?"
And I think at this point in the game,
as long as you're playing with respect,
and you respect others, I think, hopefully, whoever goes
on the jury today will respect your game no matter what.
Shauhin, how was it for you this afternoon?
Right now, in the position
that I'm in, if you show panic,
that might be the reason you go home,
because as soon as you do that, they think, "all right,
well, then why don't you trust me?"
And so, instead,
you got to take a bunch of deep breaths
and close your eyes for a second,
open 'em back up, and it's back to work.
Mary, it's a little bit like
the ultimate trust fall.
Everybody says, "no, no, no, we got you,"
and you won't know until your head hits the ground
- yeah. - That they were lying.
Last tribal,
each of these people did what they said they were gonna do.
And so, yeah, it's a trust fall,
but I trusted everyone last time and they caught me
and I caught them, so maybe we can do it again.
But somebody will be voted out,
and it's clear it's gonna be a blindside
because all of you are saying you trust each other.
So what's the message for the person who's about
- to be blindsided? - Yeah.
Is it clichรฉ to say it's nothing personal?
I feel like,
with you out, my alliances will be stronger.
David, how about for you? What would you say, given
that you're telling everybody "we can all trust each other"?
I would say that, under different circumstances,
it would obviously be different, right?
If you grabbed a different-color rock,
you might be sticking around for a very long time.
But some people here, you know, they are from different tribes.
You know, they-they haven't had the time to get to know
as many people here as others, right?
So they haven't had the time to form those relationships
or earn that trust. You know, sometimes,
luck plays a factor in survivor, and unfortunately,
- maybe that's all it is today. - Shauhin,
- what do you read into that? - I mean,
it's hard to tell what's smoke and mirrors here
and what's just a mirror.
Like, where is the smoke?
Is it clearing and are you the target when the smoke clears?
All right.
It is time to vote. Mary, you're up.
I'll go tally the votes.
If anybody has an advantage or an idol
and you want to play it, now would be the time to do so.
All right, I'll read the votes.
Shauhin.
Cedrek. One vote shauhin, one vote cedrek.
Cedrek. That's two votes cedrek, one vote shauhin.
Cedrek. That's three votes cedrek, one vote shauhin.
Eighth person voted out of survivor 48
and the first member of our jury: Cedrek.
That's four. That's enough. Need to bring me your torch.
All right, thanks, guys.
- Ced. - It's been a pleasure.
- Love you. - See you, man.
Cedrek, the tribe has spoken.
- Bye, cedrek. - Good luck.
Blessings and peace. Love you all.
- Bye, ced. - Later, bro.
Grab your torches. Head back to camp.
- Good night. - Good night, Jeff. - Good night, Jeff.

Next time on survivor...
Go for the head, man. Go for Joe.
This guy is the biggest idiot on this beach.
That is the move.
I got another experience with survivor.
I got my torch snuffed by Jeff Probst,
which was surprising.
I had more game in me to play,
but being the first jury member
that's gonna mean I have some say
in who actually gets the ultimate prize.
It's still a great responsibility,
and, it's the one that I'm gonna probably
give a lot of thought to over the next few days.
