(Jolly groans)

- [Narrator] Jolly and Snow White are continuing

their trip in search of the three joys,

light, goodness and happiness.

But they have not found the third one yet.

(joyous music)

(goofy music)

- [Milfay] Wait up.

- Oh, a giant apple.

- [Milfay] Please, please wait up, hey,

come on. - This isn't Snow White.

- [Milfay] Hey.

- Huh? - What was that?

- (panting) Excuse me, are you okay?

- I guess so.

- Oh, it looks like I failed again.

(somber music)

- So you're trying to create a magic apple?

- Well, yes.

- I don't know what you were trying to do,

but are you a witch?

- Well, no, I'm a fairy.

- Oh, a fairy.

- Yes, when we're born we receive the gift of magic,

and when we grow up we decide

which kind of fairy we're gonna be.

For example, if you love flowers,

you can become a flower fairy.

Or if you like the nighttime, you can become a star fairy.

- (gulps) So you wanna be the fruit fairy?

- Yes, that's true.

I'd like to but I keep failing at it.

- [Jolly] But you're so gifted.

It's not easy to create such a big apple.

- Oh, thank you but I meant to create a normal-sized one.

- Oh, well, anyway, it looked fine,

and it even tasted pretty good

as it was smashing on top of us.

Believe me, I swear.

- You're very kind to say that.

(laughs)

- Oh, I have an idea.

How about I be your guardian fairy, Jolly?

Sure, Jolly's guardian fairy. (laughs)

- [Jolly] What?

- [Milfay] It'll be great, you'll see.

I'll do everything to make you happy.

- But I, uh--

- Are you feeling tired?

- [Jolly] No.

- Is there something hurting you that I can fix?

- No no, thank you but I'm fine. (gasps)

- Just tell me your wish and I'll make it come true.

- Wait a minute, you haven't even told us your name.

- My name is Milfay.

- Oh, okay, Milfay, well, thank you very much

but we're on a journey

and we really don't need anything right now.

- Alright.

If I stay here will I disturb you?

- Well, no, I guess not.

(light music)

(laughs)

- I'm so glad you allowed me to come

on this journey with you.

I woulda been so sad all by myself.

- I'm beginning to feel that way myself.

- Jolly, you should be happy, not complaining.

We have a new traveling companion.

Isn't that right, my new friend?

- Yes, you sure do, thank you very much Snow White.

Oh no.

Look, the sky's getting cloudy.

(low rumbling)

- Whoa, a little village. - Seems like it might

be deserted.

- [Milfay] It's the middle of the day,

but it's dark and gloomy here.

- Let's take a closer look, but let's be careful.

(eerie music) (drumming)

- What are they doing, Snow White?

- And so you see, you've caught us

right in the middle of our sun prayer.

- All of you were praying to the sun?

- Yes, we have not seen it here in a very long time,

so we are praying for its return.

- I don't understand, how can that be?

- Ages ago, the clouds that you see above us

drifted into our sky.

Once they arrived they have never moved,

and even our wisest scholars

have no explanation for this phenomenon.

- Maybe somehow it's dying.

- Every living thing in this world

needs the rays of the sun to survive.

- Couldn't you leave this place

and build another village someplace else?

- No, I'm afraid such an undertaking

is completely impossible.

This forest and this village

is all any of us have ever known.

To leave now would be completely unthinkable.

- Oh, I'm so sorry.

I wish I could do something to help you.

- (gasps) Jolly.

- I thank you for your concern,

but all we can do now is hope.

- There must be something.

- You're very kind, but you and your friends

must continue on your journey.

- Oh, this is awful, I feel so helpless.

I wish we didn't have to leave them like that.

- No need to get depressed about it.

We cannot change the weather, it does what it wants to do.

- I know, it's just--

- Don't worry about it.

Under the circumstances you did your best.

You acted with great charm and nobility.

- (sighs) Really, thank you.

But being noble makes me hungry.

- (laughs) Oh Jolly.

- Jolly, Snow White, something terrible has happened.

Come quick, I need your help.

I think somebody's drowning over there.

Look, over there, do you see 'em?

- Hold on.

(splashing)

What's this, just a tree branch?

(sneezes)

There was no one drowning, it was just a piece of wood.

- [Milfay] Forgive me.

We need to get you dry.

Take those wet clothes off.

- What, in front of you two?

I'm much too shy for that.

- Come on, don't be foolish.

You don't wanna catch a cold, do you?

- [Jolly] Not on your life.

- Let me try a magic spell.

I'll try to dry your clothes.

Abracadabra, abracadabra.

(yells) (gasps)

- I'm burning, it's so hot. (screaming)

- Oh no, fire stop, fire stop right now!

(panting)

- Jolly, are you alright?

- I'm so sorry.

- You'll have to do better than that.

- Oh Jolly.

- My clothes are dry,

but I don't think that you're cut out

to be in the professional fairy business.

- Jolly, she's just learning how to use her power.

You must be patient.

- (sighs) I guess I just got a little hot under the collar.

- Are you feeling better?

- A little better I guess.

- That's great.

(mystical music)

(yawns)

- Can't you sleep, Milfay?

- No.

- Well, it is rather humid tonight.

- Snow White, do you think it's true

that I'm not cut out to be a fairy?

I'm always making mistakes.

- But you're just learning how to use your power.

Nobody's perfect when they first start something.

- But I'm already getting so old.

- What?

I don't understand how that could be.

So how old are you?

- This year, I'll be eight years old.

- Oh wow, if you think you're old at the age of eight,

I can't imagine what you must think

since I'm twice as old as you are.

- All the fairies who are my age

already have their specialties.

I'm the only one who hasn't earned hers yet.

I can't find my true calling.

(sighs) I haven't discovered my specialty yet.

- Struggling with what?

(snoring)

(laughing)

(laughs)

(gentle music)

- Milfay, are you still awake?

Have you been fanning me all this time?

- Yes Jolly, I've been right here.

It's the least I can do for you, isn't it?

- Well, it's late.

Why don't you go to sleep?

- [Milfay] Okay.

(playful music)

(yawning)

- Looks like it will be a beautiful day.

- How come you're in such a good mood today, Jolly?

- I am, it's probably because I slept so well.

Thanks to Milfay, I had wonderful dreams.

Right?

- (laughs) Yes, yes, yes yes yes yes.

(laughing)

- I wonder what the others will think

when they see us come home with Milfay.

(humming)

- Who is that?

- He's a very special messenger

who brings home letters written on leaves.

(gasps)

(screaming)

- [Messenger] Help, help.

- We should help him.

- [Messenger] Oh, my feet won't stop.

(crashing)

(groaning)

- [Snow White] Is everybody alright?

- [Milfay] The leaves are flying away, oh no.

- [Snow White] Let 'em go,

it's too dangerous. - And I have to do something.

(wind roaring)

- [Messenger] Oh, thank you, thank you so very very much.

You saved my letters.

- That's thanks to you, Milfay.

- I guess so.

- [Messenger] If I had lost those letters

it would've been the end of my career.

Thank you.

Hey, is she your sister?

- This is my guardian fairy.

- Huh?

- Aren't you?

- Sure am.

- [Messenger] Well, I gotta go now.

Take care and have a nice trip.

- [Snow White] Goodbye.

- Okay, bye. - Thank you.

- Goodbye, sir.

Oh no, he forgot one.

- I'll take the letter to him.

- Maybe I should go with you.

- No, it's okay, stay here.

Sir, wait, you dropped a letter.

(humming)

Please sir, wait.

(panting) Wait, you forgot this.

- Oh, thanks again.

I have to take these letters to the village.

I hope I get there in time.

- Why are these letters so urgent?

- Because it's my sworn duty that everybody gets their mail,

and most of the villagers are leaving.

- Oh, isn't that the village where it's always cloudy?

- Oh, you know about it, do ya?

It seems everybody there has given up hope,

and without the sun they've all decided to leave.

- Of course, I understand.

- Well, I better be on my way.

(melancholy music)

- There you are, Milfay, finally.

I was worried.

Maybe I should've gone with you.

- Oh, that's okay.

- [Jolly] Well, I'm starving.

How about you?

- [Snow White] Let's have our meal in the woods.

- Wind blow, wind blow.

Come on wind, blow!

(wind roaring)

Oh well.

- Milfay, I saw what you did.

- It's nothing. - And it looks to me

as if you have such great powers.

- I suppose it means I can conjure up a storm.

- What's that?

- Let's see if I can get back to them before I count to 30.

One, two, three--

- Can you help the villagers, Milfay?

- They can't keep living in that village.

If only I could go there, maybe I can help them out.

- Of course you could, and that may be your fairy specialty.

- But I would have to leave Jolly.

I know I've been careless and caused him so much trouble.

- Little Milfay.

- Even with all the accidents I caused him,

Jolly finally accepted me.

I can't leave him now,

it would just feel like I let him down.

He needs me now.

- Milfay, don't worry about it.

- Yes, I sure am, Snow White.

- Milfay, don't be too sensitive.

I'll talk to Jolly about it for you.

- Alright.

- [Snow White] I don't want you to do anything

you'll later regret.

- 27, 28, 29, 30.

- I've got something to tell you.

Is that the water?

- What's this?

Milfay, how could this be?

You haven't even set up the table yet?

- Wait, I can explain everything to you.

- While I was exhausting myself fetching this water

you were just sitting around chatting?

- Forgive us, Jolly.

- Tell me, who do you think you are?

Maybe it's time for you to just get going.

(dejected music)

(crying)

- Wait, Milfay.

Jolly, you fool, how could you behave so badly?

I don't know what's gotten into you.

(wind roaring)

(crying)

(cold music)

Milfay, the villagers are leaving.

You must go help them.

- Oh wind, oh wind, blow away,

blow away, blow away these horrible clouds.

(wind roaring)

- [All Villagers] Wow.

(triumphant music)

- [Milfay] Yippee.

We did it, Snow White. - Milfay.

(Milfay laughs)

- [Jolly] I always believed you could, Milfay.

- Jolly, you're here.

- I was worried about you

but I knew it was important for you to follow your calling.

- You mean you knew?

- Of course I did.

Didn't you notice it took way too long

for me to get that water?

- Well, I must say you really fooled us, didn't you?

- Sorry, I had to convince Milfay.

- You did that?

- (stuttering) Milfay, you're squeezing too tight.

I always believed you were a great fairy.

- Thank you so much, Jolly.

(high-pitched squeaking)

- [Snow White Voiceover] Good luck, my little Milfay.

I am happy you found your way.

I wonder if I will ever find my own.

Goodbye, my new friends.

Goodbye, Milfay.

- [Narrator] Their educational trip is finally over.

And so it came to pass

that Jolly and Snow White returned home,

full of newfound wisdom.

All the other dwarves were very happy

to see their friends return.

And Snow White was just as happy

to know that she was so loved.
