=A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College=

=Episode 06=

I'm going to flick you!

On your forehead!

Flick your forehead!

Forehead flick!

Flick your forehead!

I want to...

Young Lady, we just reached Grand Commandant's Residence.

It's good, though.

I have someone to rely on

in Imperial College.

Don't worry.

I remember everything your brother told me.

After all...

You're one to talk.

Listen, Yan Yun Zhi.

The truth about White was revealed.

But the thing that you hide from me isn't over yet.

Didn't I tell it all to you?

It's over now.

And let me remind you.

Keep the nickname White

to yourself.

If you dare to say it in front of others,

I'll...

What would you do?

You do have authority in Imperial College.

But outside Imperial College,

you have no authority.

(Sang)

How dare you pretend to be drunk?

(Qingfeng Restaurant)

(Shuiyue Shop)

(Main Store)

(Restaurant)

(Aspiration)

Qi.

You're here!

Sit down.

You rarely treat me to a meal.

Are you going to celebrate that you passed

the Lantern Festival without trouble?

It's not just that.

Lan brought me

to Qing Xuan's residence yesterday.

I even met Deputy Chief Yan.

Now you call her Lan.

It seems you two had a great time yesterday.

Right.

I didn't know

there were many interesting people in Bianjing.

Qing Xuan

is handsome and talented.

Yan San Lang

is upright.

And Lan.

She's an incomparable beauty.

How gorgeous!

Women in Bianjing are different indeed.

You didn't take the initiative to meet my friend.

Yet, you met all the friends

of Deputy Chief Yan.

I didn't.

They're my elder brother's friends.

I should get to know them.

All right then.

They're all very interesting people.

I don't have that many friends

to introduce to you.

Zhuo Wen Yuan.

Could you please

not be sarcastic?

I see you as my good friend.

Why don't you introduce your friends

to me as well?

Do you still remember Miss Qian Jiu

who was with me at Lantern Festival?

Qian...

Oh!

She's a gorgeous lady as well.

But I was in a hurry.

I didn't see her clearly.

Talking about beauty,

Miss Qian Jiu is more well-known

than Su Jie Yu in Bianjing.

If you like,

I can arrange for you to meet her.

It will open your eyes.

Zhuo Wen Yuan.

You are close

to Miss Qian Jiu, aren't you?

It's not the main point.

The point is, I want to show you

there're many interesting people around me too.

Maybe they're more interesting than those

around Deputy Chief Yan.

All right.

Okay then.

Imperial College opens tomorrow morning.

Let's finish early.

Then depart earlier.

Okay.

Fill it up.

(In This Mountain)

(Perfumes)

(Zhuo)

(In This Mountain)

"The true face of Lushan is lost to my sight,

for it is right in this mountain that I reside." [*A poem, Written on the Wall at West Forest Temple]

What a meaningful name.

Let's go.

I'll go first then.

Mr. Zhuo.

Miss Sang.

Miss Sang spent too much time

in the frontier fortress camp.

She called another girl beauty.

So I took her here

to see how the most well-known beauty

in Bianjing looks.

Please don't make fun of me.

I'm just an ordinary lady.

I'm not that beautiful as you said.

If you're ordinary,

then...

You're a heroine.

Mr. Zhuo, Miss Sang.

Please follow me.

Let's go.

Miss Sang Qi?

Pardon me.

I smelled an unknown delicate fragrance

on Miss Qian Jiu as I came in.

And your lips.

Did you apply rouge?

Or was a beauty born like this?

It's not natural.

It's all fake.

Fake?

What do you mean?

It's our secret.

We can't let men know.

Mr. Zhuo, please help yourself.

Miss Sang, please follow me.

Help yourself.

If we use perfumes

while taking a bath,

the fragrance will soon disappear.

Rather than that,

I'll use perfumes to soak clothes.

The fragrance will last longer and smell more natural.

The recipe

is mine.

It's fragrant!

It can distinguish you from the others.

And the rouge.

I have my way of applying it.

After applying the rouge,

cover the lips with a veil.

Then, apply a layer of face powder.

It'll be natural

and can stay longer.

Beauties depend on the vibe.

It's about body language.

Miss Qian Jiu.

Don't listen to nonsense by Zhuo Wen Yuan.

I've seen beautiful ladies

in the world.

But I think every lady is beautiful

in own way.

As long as she's kind and pure,

I'll praise her.

I'd like to praise you as well.

I used to hear about Miss Sang Qi.

Today only I realized

that you're the most special one

in Bianjing.

That's too much.

Is Miss Qian Jiu

that guy's concubine?

I don't deserve to serve Mr. Zhuo.

But I know

he has long fallen for you.

I wonder whether you

fall for him as well.

No, you misunderstood.

Mr. Zhuo and I

are brothers.

Merely brothers.

I still have some other perfumes.

You may try them out.

Thank you.

Miss Sang Qi.

There's new face powder.

I'll fetch some for you.

Miss Qian Jiu, it's late now.

I'm going back.

Zhuo Wen Yuan.

Zhuo Wen Yuan! Wake up!

Get up.

Wake up!

Are you done yet?

Yes.

I'm going back.

Let's go then.

Mr. Zhuo.

I just brewed some tea.

I'll try it next time.

No.

You stay here.

I can sit by myself. I don't need company.

But I...

Young Master.

I'll tell the carter

to bring Miss Sang Qi home.

Thank you.

Don't worry. I'm okay!

All right then.

You must be careful.

It's nothing.

All right, you don't have to see me off.

Miss Qian Jiu, thank you for today.

Let's meet again next time.

It's my pleasure, Miss Sang Qi.

I'm leaving now.

(Zhuo) Who's that?

How dare you

robbed my carriage?

Young men.

It's inappropriate

to make a raid on the way.

How grumpy.

Let me do some exercise with you.

Let's go!

Don't go yet!

I just finished warming up, and yet you ran away.

I haven't had enough!

Come back.

Hold on, Hero.

May I have your name?

I'm just a passer-by.

I have no name.

Miss.

It's dangerous at night. You've got to be careful.

Is it what was mentioned in the storytelling script?

Immortal descends from the sky.

What time is it now?

Why hasn't Qi come back?

Several days ago,

some trouble happened during the Lantern Festival.

She still isn't afraid.

And you.

Why don't you keep an eye on her?

You should have urged her to come back early.

Master.

Mr. Zhuo asked Young Lady out.

It's not proper for me to follow them.

Zhuo Wen Yuan?

He's quite considerate.

If she's with him,

I can rest assured.

I certainly know

how the son of Zhuo's family feels.

Master, do you think

he can make it?

You know my daughter well.

I think Zhuo Wen Yuan is nice.

But my opinion doesn't matter.

But if he always obeys Qi

and lets her come back late,

I need to talk with him.

You can't teach your child well.

And yet talk about the others' child.

You've learned

all the bad things from Qi.

Only good at talking back!

Just wait and see.

As she comes back,

I must scold her badly.

I'll let her know who has the authority at Grand Commandant's Residence.

Such a bad girl!

Young Lady is back!

Master, Young Lady is injured.

Father.

Young Lady.

Qi.

What's wrong with you, Young Lady?

Lian Pian.

What happened to you?

I'm okay.

Aren't you with Zhuo Wen Yuan?

Why didn't he bring you back?

Summon the physician!

Hurry up!

Bring my wound medicine.

I'm okay. It's just a skin injury.

I always have to worry about you.

I...

I know I was wrong.

I won't let you worry again.

You admit you were wrong. How rare.

It's rare to see you so nervous.

Since your brother was gone,

both of us have always been together.

Anyway,

don't make me worry about you all the time.

Aren't you with Zhuo Wen Yuan?

Why didn't he take you back?

We went together.

But as we were about to leave,

he couldn't.

He asked someone to send me home.

Little did I know I'd be raided.

Raided?

Did you see their faces?

We have to report this incident

to Prefecture Court right away.

We need to know

whether their target is you.

Lian Pian.

Bring her to her room.

Okay.

Young Lady, be careful.

Report to Prefecture Court.

All right.

Young Lady.

You should listen to Master more.

He always cares about you.

Before you came back,

he firmly said

he'd teach you a lesson.

When he saw you injured,

he soon talked nicely to you.

Master never

keeps his head down for anyone,

except for you.

He gives you everything you want.

Would it...

Would it be her?

Who?

Young Lady, what are you thinking about?

I'm...

I'm thinking about a lady.

A lady?

Master.

Have you reported to Prefecture Court?

They've organized a special investigation.

They'll maintain justice for you, Master.

We can't just rely on them.

Pass my word.

I believe Sang family's soldiers

can catch the evil man.

(Grand Commandant's Residence)

(Great Momentum)

Young Lady, you're up.

What time is it now?

The school hour has passed.

Don't worry.

Master ordered someone to apply for a leave from Imperial College.

You need to heal at home.

It's just a skin injury!

It shouldn't be.

Look at your leg.

I know you want to study hard.

But there's no need to rush.

All right then.

Young Lady, Mr. Yan wants to visit you.

Master Sang!

I'm here to visit you, Master Sang!

Why are you here?

Aren't you supposed to study at Imperial College now?

How dare you talk so.

Almost everyone in Imperial College

knows Master Sang got raided.

Master Sang is injured.

How could I still sit back and study?

Let me in, quick!

Go away.

You're a man.

How could you enter Young Lady's room?

Anyway,

Young Lady only has a skin injury.

She's fine.

She's having rest now.

Don't bother her.

But I brought a thing for her.

You don't...

I'll give it to her.

You may leave.

You must give it to her.

Well, no.

Why do I just leave?

(Chenxiang)

It's the fool Yan Xiao Lang.

He even wanted to go in.

No manners at all.

But I sent him off.

Have a good rest, Young Lady.

Yan Xiao Lang

is a Young Master of Grand Preceptor's Residence.

But you called him a fool.

Incredible.

What a good match.

You mean him?

I'm not worthy of him.

I guess your wound has healed.

You still can tease me.

My wound has already healed!

I'm able to run right now.

It's totally fine.

Deputy Chief Yan is here.

It's Deputy Chief Yan.

Yan... Yan Yun Zhi?

He must be...

He must be here with other intent.

Let's go. I want to wash up.

Deputy Chief Yan.

What brings you here, may I ask?

Your leg is injured.

It won't affect you in learning, right?

I knew it!

I heard about you being raided.

Prefecture Court is investigating it.

When you almost recover,

Yan San Lang is going to ask you a few questions.

The injury is nothing.

I want to know about someone.

I could stay alive

because an expert helped me.

An expert?

He descended from the sky.

(He moved agilely)

(and made quick attacks.)

(He defeated the evil man undoubtedly.)

Those moves...

They were so quick that...

Stop it.

Just sit.

Then...

I don't want to hear that.

The evil man was kicked so far away.

Deputy Chief, you're...

I'm afraid the weapon is poisonous.

Don't think too much.

You're a mischievous student

with a bad attitude.

Teachers don't like you.

You have no academic achievement.

And you disappoint Yu's expectations.

However...

Luckily you dodged it.

This evil man really

wanted to kill you.

So brutal.

The weapon was sharp as well.

Where have you been last night?

I told Zhuo Wen Yuan that I wanted to meet Miss Qian Jiu.

After I left her side house...

Qian Jiu.

Side house? What's that?

It's called In This Mountain or something.

It's similar to Qing Xuan's.

Well, Deputy Chief.

Who do you think I've encountered?

Why did they ambush me?

You were poisoned first.

Now you were ambushed.

Can't you just leave it alone?

Don't investigate that.

These won't happen if you focus on study.

Deputy Chief.

You worry too much.

If we just sit back

and let them happen,

what if they attack the innocent next time?

I doubt

that their targets are Zhuo Wen Yuan

and Miss Qian Jiu.

You still worry about others?

By the way, Deputy Chief.

Have you ever seen this pattern?

Where did you see this pattern?

On the shoulder of the evil man.

And...

Where else?

Why do you hesitate?

I'm afraid I didn't see it clearly.

And

on the back of Miss Qian Jiu's neck.

I see.

You don't have to worry about this.

I'll investigate it.

But rest assured, Deputy Chief.

Zhuo Wen Yuan won't hurt me.

I'm afraid

that he'll get into unknown trouble.

I said, don't worry about others.

Zhuo Wen Yuan is also my student.

I'll investigate this incident.

Okay.

Anyway,

why did you go there

to meet the entertainer?

Every person

has lust.

I went to see the beauty.

I also learned a lot.

What did you learn?

Apart from getting injured, what else did you learn?

Let me tell you.

I think every lady is beautiful in her own way.

For instance, Miss Su.

She's brilliant

and knowledgeable.

Whereas Miss Qian Jiu

is elegant

and gorgeous.

And Song Jia Yin.

We don't get along well.

I think

there's something wrong with her.

But she's arrogant yet lovely

and energetic.

It's her way of being beautiful.

It's another kind of beautiful.

They're all different.

You don't always have to notice others.

Take a look at yourself too.

Lively.

Free and easy.

You're also unique.

The one and only troublemaker.

The most troublesome student I've ever met.

Give me back my leg.

Give it back.

Thank you for praising me.

It's my pleasure.

If there's nothing,

I'm going back to lie down.

Let's go.

Hold on.

Did you forget something?

Bring along your exercises and medicine.

Let's go, Young Lady.

(Grand Commandant's Residence)

Young Master.

Bai Shi.

Follow Sang Qi to and from school

since today.

Ensure her safety.

I...

Yes, Young Master.

Young Lady, Mr. Zhuo is here.

Someone visited you just now?

It's Deputy Chief.

He gave me many good gifts.

Study despite being injured, he said.

Who exactly dared

to lay a hand on you?

If he's caught,

I won't let him off!

All right.

I've heard of it many times.

If you want to take revenge for me,

you should

come after my father.

He's been swearing these two days.

Maybe he's still...

By the way,

did both of you meet any danger last night?

Is Miss Qian Jiu fine?

We're fine.

It's all my fault.

If I brought you back,

I wouldn't let you injured.

I'll take you to and from school every day

to ensure your safety.

You don't have to.

The evil man is highly skilled.

If you're with me,

you'll sacrifice too.

There's no need.

Qi.

Do you really think that I'm weak?

Forget it.

Don't pretend in front of me.

We've fought when we were young.

What do you think?

Don't worry.

I'm going to Imperial College tomorrow.

As usual.

Rest assured.

Okay.

Let me know

if you need any help.

I'll help you with all.

Okay.

(Unique symbol of Xizhao)

The carved pattern seen by Sang Qi

is the unique symbol of Xizhao Group

to identify their members.

Whoever with this pattern

(A man of great evil who betrays country) is either a traitor

or a trader of the black market.

Or a killer.

In short, they're all stateless.

It's hard to investigate.

A few years ago,

the imperial court once ordered to arrest Xizhao members.

After several times of arrests,

Xizhao has lost much of its spirit.

Although the main members have been arrested,

the leader is still nowhere to find.

No one knows the leader's identity.

It seems the arrests were not thorough.

They came back again.

Oh, right.

San Lang.

Don't investigate Qian Jiu first.

She has long stayed at Qingfeng Restaurant.

There's a lot of people.

I'm afraid

Sang Qi will be in danger again.

Understand.

I'll report to His Majesty

another day.

I'll inform Grand Commandant Sang as well.

Qi Lang, you must be careful.

We should learn the lesson from the past.

I don't want Sang family to get into any trouble.

But no matter how well-prepared I am,

they can always seize every opportunity.

If Sang Qi can protect herself...

It'd be great

if someone with better martial arts skills than me

is willing

to teach Sang Qi.

Better than you?

We could hardly find someone in Bianjing

who's able to compete with you.

Then let's find out of town.

As long as we won't be in danger.

(Grand Commandant's Residence)

Master Sang.

Walk slowly.

Let me take it.

Thank you.

Master Sang.

Why don't you rest for a few more days?

You came today.

Why should I rest more?

To make those who ambushed me feeling honored?

That's why I said

not to show off.

You may attract

evil people.

No one shows off more

than your Song family.

You're right.

Sang Qi.

You should've looked for me to tell fortune the other day.

I knew you'd encounter a fatal disaster.

You never predict good things.

Sang Qi, tell us all.

How did you make it through that night?

Right.

Do you want to listen to the whole story?

Yes.

Go away.

That was a dark night.

I was asleep in the carriage.

The evil man suddenly appeared

from the bamboo grove.

He knocked the carter out just by a hit.

And then?

How can I stand

such an immoral raid?

Of course not!

(I jumped out of the carriage and fought with him.)

(I had only one faith at that moment.)

Justice wins over evil.

How good.

Awesome.

Incredible.

How amazing.

Deputy Chief.

Let's go.

I'm not done yet!

Which part did you stop at?

The class already started. You're still telling the story.

Have you finished reciting the text?

Deputy Chief.

Sang Qi.

Don't mention the incident

to others again.

Okay.

Go ahead.

Study things to acquire knowledge.

Acquire knowledge through the study of things.

With knowledge, one will be sincere.

Sincere ones will be upright.

Upright ones will cultivate themselves.

Once cultivated, the family becomes ordered.

Once the family becomes ordered, the country becomes organized.

Once the country becomes organized, the world becomes peaceful.

Whether the emperors or the folks,

each should take self-cultivation as the foundation.

If this is fundamentally disrupted, all of these are not going to happen.
