Than we did last time.

I was hoping we could
Incorporate the salt life logo,

And then I want the skull and
The hooks floating in the water.

Maybe like, somewhere in between
A couple of pieces of corral,

Or maybe on corral island
Or something.

We want a ton of corral.

We want it coming up the right
Side, the left side, everywhere.

Any kind of specific fish
We're looking for?

Welp, you know, I'll tell you,
I'd like a lot a lot of fish.

Especially looking for some
Hogfish and some fairy wrasse...

Would be awesome.

Both of these fish have
A peaceful temperament

And should fit into this
Or any other aquarium.

They both need a tank
Of at least 50 gallons,

And we'll beat that
By a long shot.

Wayde:
The fairy wrasse can be skittish

When first introduced
To an aquarium and tend to jump,

So we'll have to make sure the
Aquarium is covered properly.

And the hogfish will need plenty
Of places to hide

And shrimp to feed on.

Brett: well, you know what?
I suggest a lot --

Definitely a lot
Of swim-throughs.

If you want a lot of fish,
Fish love hiding places,

So the more cool
Swim-throughs we have,

Which will also
Make it easier for us

To put the logo and the skulls.

Breathe and live normal lives.

Is a good environment
For white and brown shrimp

Because of the shallow,
Warm, nutrient-rich waters.

The shrimps spend their young
Lives in the brackish inlets

Before they head out
To sea as adults.

Kevin: so, we're gonna go ahead
And deploy the shrimp net.

Think of it like a big funnel.
-yeah.

Everything in front of the net
Gets funneled into the back.

Just keep pulling.
Keep pulling there we go.

A couple of shrimp in there.

Of creatures.

Some ones that we catch
All the time is a lookdown fish.

They're silver.
They're shiny.

Wow, lookdowns.
We put them in the aquariums.

Christina:
These are brown squids.

When they're near the sea floor,
They'll blend in and turn brown.

They'll be transparent when
They're in the sea surface

Or when they're in
Any kind of sunlight,

So they blend
Into their atmosphere.

It is nearly impossible to keep
Squid in home aquariums.

They have a high mortality rate.

Because they tend to bash
Themselves into the sides

And also jump out.

We've done many cool tanks
For their cousin,

The octopus, though.

So, these are white shrimp.

So do we know how many legs
A shrimp has?

-16?
-they've got 10.

So they're decapods
Like crabs or lobster.

They've got this fine
Needle-like point

On the tip of their nose.

That's why we want to pick
Them up

And hold them
On this backside,

'cause if we pick them up
By their tail,

They could reach around
And poke us.

Kevin: we got a pretty good look
At what we have here,

So let's go ahead and return
Them back to the wild.

That wants a second tank.

Last time, the tank was curved
To look like a wave,

But they don't want
That this time.

So this rectangular tank will be
14 1/2 feet long,

Three feet wide,
And five feet tall.

It will be filled with
1,600 gallons of salt water

And decorated with holes
And swim-throughs

Where their hundred
Diverse fish can hide,

Including coral-beauty angelfish
And a fairy wrasse.

In the center of the tank,
We'll design a salt life

Logo that will need to be
Viewable from both sides,

Because you'll be able
To see this tank

From inside the restaurant
And out by the beach.

And the first thing we got to do
Is pick out the fish to fill it.

Now, this tank is massive.

It's 1,600 gallons.

So obviously we have
A ton of room

To play with, so let's dive in.

These are fantastic.

The evansi anthias.

I love the colors on them.

It's almost like the sun
Setting over the ocean.

Isn't that amazing?It's unbelievable.

I think giving you
A nice assortment

Of a lot of nice schooling fish,
Smaller, bright colors,

And then mix in some big boys
In there,

Is gonna give you
A great color palette.

But these guys, they're gonna
Be going back and forth

In the tank,
Playing against the current.

They're gonna show off
All over the tank.

Now, are these guys peaceful
As well?

Oh, yeah.
Fantastic for community tanks.

You want to keep them in groups.

They feel secure
When they're in a group.

Will the colors stay like that?

Or are they gonna fade out
And become different?

They actually get better.

The male will get far more
Vibrant and more

Of the fuchsia and purple.

It'll come up even brighter.

And the colors,
The pinks and yellows,

Are very much a part of florida.

Like, could you imagine
Sitting on the beach

And being able to look
Into the tank and seeing that?

They look floridian.

Let's see what else
We can find.

The male is bright yellow

Where the female is the blue.

Most of indonesia.

How many can you put
In a tank?

Well, you can put one male and
Three to five females in there,

And that's gonna keep them happy

And keep them moving around
And peacocking and showing off.

And what will they eat?

They're gonna eat just about
Any of your prepared foods.

From flake to pellet food
To all your frozen concoctions.

And are they gonna get
Much bigger than this?

They'll get about
Double that size.

Oh, nice.
Yeah.

So you're looking at
About a seven-inch fish.

Wow.

Let's see what else you have,
If you could top this.

Look at this guy.

Oh, wow.

The square anthias.Look at that guy.

I love those.Isn't that amazing?

The male has this
Big fuchsia square

In the middle of the body.

A female is actually yellow
With horizontal lines on her.

The female doesn't have
The square on it?

No, no, no.
They actually change up.

It's really -- it's amazing.

'cause you seem them,
When they're yellow,

It's a female,
And then all of a sudden

They start getting a little
Deeper orange, a deeper orange,

And then it starts changing
To that real orange in the --

You see the spot
Just kinda grows out.

And over about a month
And a half, it goes from

Just barely noticeable
To a full-on square in the body.

Now, the marking is gonna stay?Yes.

Once they change to a male,
Then it's a male.

There's a ton
Of different anthias,

So they come in all kinds of
Different colors and patterns.

Where can you find these guys?

These guys you find all over
In jakarta, indonesia, bali.

I think it's a great addition
For salt life.

What else do you have for us?

This is called
A leopard wrasse.

They get about, oh, five,
Six inches, right?

That's a decent size.Decent size.

They are one
Of the more timid wrasse,

So if they get threatened,

They're gonna be one of the ones
That dives under the sand.

But once they are happy
In the tank and adjusted,

They're everywhere.

They go around picking off
Little crustaceans

All over your rock work.

Agnes: he is look for something
To munch on.

With a terrible tragedy

On october 1, 2017.

One of our clients,
Jason aldean,

Was headlining
An outdoor show

When 58 lives
Were suddenly lost.

Wow, dude.

There's so many memories
Here from so many people.

We've been wanting
To do our part to help.

It makes me feel sad.

It is sad, but...
You know what?

It's a good place where people
Are able to come and heal.

Man: hey.
What's goin' on?

A friend of mine called us
To create

A water feature
For the healing garden,

A park that was put together
In the aftermath of the tragedy.

So, tell us a little bit about
What we got going on.

Well, this garden came about
After the shooting october 1.

You know, the next morning
We were trying to figure out,

You know, how you start your day
With something like this.

You just can't go
About business as normal.

And my business partner
And I were thinking,

It's too bad
We don't have a place.

You know, new york
Has central park.

Other cities have places
To gather.

We don't have that in las vegas.

And we thought, if we just had
A garden

Or something
To bring people together,

You know, take their mind off
Of what happened a little bit,

Get them talking again.

So we made a call to a friend
Of ours over at the city.

The city gave us
A quarter of an acre,

And 4,500 people
Showed up to build this.

Jessica:
The entire garden was built
Within three days.

And on the fourth day, it was
Being dedicated and opened.

That's so great
How everybody pulled together.

Jay:
The tree of life is planted
In a heart,

And on the heart
Are all the tiles

And they're all hand-painted
By people in the community.

And on top of the heart,

We took the red tile
And we shattered it.

So the metaphor is that,
Even though the heart is broken,

Our community is holding
That heart back together.

Jay:
It's become a sacred space.

We just need to make sure
We honor that.

Tank-mate compatibility

Get along

Can actually cause
A lot of tank stress,

Which results in disease
And other loss.

Triggers are normally suitable
For a more aggressive tank,

But not in this condition.

So we've got to make sure
That he's in a compatible tank,

That no one is actually
Gonna hurt him.

This tank here is
A non-aggressive tank.

You got actually a blue hippo.

So the fish in here are not
A threat to him,

And he's not
A threat to them.

He'll slowly build up
Other muscles

And he'll be able
To move around.

But salt levels in the tank

Should be tested
Every few weeks.

The answer is "B," 33 ppt.

"Ppt" stands for
"Parts per thousand"

Meaning there should be
33 parts salt

For every 1,000 parts water.

It needs to be tested regularly,
Because as water evaporates,

Salt does not, causing salt
Levels in the water to rise.

Too much or too little salt
In your tank

Will cause stress to your fish,
Or even death.

So test it regularly
For your fish's sake.

Working on the salt life tank

Idea to make our own fish food,

So I thought a brainstorming
Session was in order.

You ready to brainstorm?We're gonna fishstorm.

First of all, you got to
Figure out the type of food.

Agnes: okay.

Well, let's start with, what's
Most popular, right, for kids?

Goldfish.
Everyone has a goldfish.

You have different types
Of goldfish.

You know, you got
Bubble goldfish,

You got fantail goldfish.

There's so many
Different types.

We can have a goldfish food
That can be used

For assorted fresh-water fish.

Right.Like neons, tetras, betas.

You know, our flake would be
So healthy

It can be used
For all of them.

So, what's in it?You got protein in there.

You got vitamins.

You got actually some pigment
In there

That actually brings out
Their colors.

Like, out in the wild,
They're swimming around,

They get to eat seaweed,
They get all different stuff

And nutrients
That's not in your tank,

So if you make this good food
And you put it in there, wham-o.

So it'll be all-natural?

All-natural.

No artificial dyes.
It won't harm the water.

It won't stain anything.

And also, it'll help
Produce less waste.

You'll have a better,
Cleaner aquarium.

People will love that.

So, let's say we have goldfish.

We're coming up with a flake.

So now that we have a flake,
We could do a pellet.

Then you have two standard
Things for fresh-water fish.

Okay.

So now you have fresh water,
You have flake, and pellets.

The ingredients
Are often similar

Between flake and pellet,

So we created this amazing

That leaves the middle open

So you can get both effects
From both sides.

Thought it was gonna be missing

Like we had on the other tank,

But looking right through it?

I got the natural waves
Right through the tank

I can see.

You guys did a great job
With the logo.

Brett:
We created a piece of acrylic

And then had our laser etch
The actual logo

So it actually looks like it's
Floating inside of the water.

That logo is perfect.

Wayde: and it's positioned
So a full moon

Will rise from the ocean
Into the eyes of the skull.

It's absolutely gorgeous.

It's exactly what

You have the cuban hog.

And those guys have a lot
In common with the island here

A lot of shrimp, okay?

Also, too, you have an asfur
Angel, which is right here.

That angels comes exclusively
From the red sea,

And it's one of the only angels
That you can't really tell

Whether it's a male or female.

You have a bellus angel.

That's a male right there.

The female is completely
Different than the male.

Overall, we wanted to make sure
That you were able

To get the whole salt life
Feel inside the aquarium.
