I grabbed some stuff. So, I brought all of this.

Until we have A fun toy for them.

Birds like to chew. Right?

I can tell.

They're chewing All of our boxes.

The bells are great.

You know, the birds will use Them to play with,

And they'll communicate With them.

And they'll get People's attention,

So that's really cool. -yes, I know.

Since wayde started Rescuing all these birds,

I can't have A conference call,

Because they're Constantly squawking.

I can't hear, like, Myself think.

But maybe now they're gonna Make some sweet music.

This is good. This will entertain them.

If they're stuck in the corner And they're bored,

They can start actually Pulling their feathers out.

They go into, like, A state of depression.

And we got cardboard, And then we put the wood block.

The wood's really important Because it helps them

From their Beak overgrowing.

Their beak is one of The most important parts.

They hold on. They climb with it.

They eat with it.

But it does grow.

They chew on the wood. It's like a file for their beak.

Certain beaks can Actually overgrow

That they can't open Their mouths.

And then it stops them From eating.

Every living, breathing thing Needs love and attention.

When I was a kid, I had A 25-gallon starter aquarium,

Then up to a 55, And then a 150,

So I think this is time To have the custom aquarium,

The end-all, be-all.

We just need To figure out a place

Where it works best In this house.

Yeah, when he originally Brought up the idea

Of having an aquarium, I was very skeptical.

But we've compromised,

And I agree that it's totally Fine to have it in his office.

I think it's gonna be a focal Point of the house

That not only the kids And myself will enjoy,

But I think you will, As well.

I think you're gonna be Surprised.

We do a lot of theming In our aquariums,

So if you guys have seen some Of the stuff that we've done...

So, maybe We can work it out

Where you guys come up With some kind of theme.

Maybe It's something together,

And we can create that inside The aquarium for you guys.

It would have to go Underneath the stand.

Well, the entire room is wrapped In these beautiful veneers --

Like walnut woods, Bookshelves.

It's, like, a really kind of Traditional-looking office.

And I would love it If we could continue that,

You know, with the tank.

So, the idea of doing some, You know, woodwork below

And maybe even above, too, I think would be great.

Brett: What's gonna happen is,

Is we're gonna build A steel frame.

The steel frame is gonna be About 3 foot tall.

Then the aquarium will sit On the steel frame.

Okay.

That's if we keep all The filters underneath it, yeah.

Right, if we keep it All underneath.

And then you'll have The aquarium,

Which could go up, You know, 4 or 5 feet.

-mm-hmm. -and then the wood up above.

That sounds nice.

You're gonna need access To get the fish in and out,

Service it, And take care of it.

So, if we have a steel frame Underneath, though,

I have, you know, all, like -- There are cabinet workers

And mill workers coming in To install this wood.

Can we have the steel In place soon?

They were big.

So, some fish that kind of Bring back great memories

That we can incorporate In the tank

And just be reminded Of each and every day.

We can add a really colorful Variety of hawaiian fish

To clay's tank, Including triggerfish

And all kinds of beautiful Tangs and butterfly fish.

And once we complete the tank With matching cabinetry,

Now, these, I think, would be A good one for clay.

They make a nice school In the tank,

Yet they're not Gonna get too big.

-they're tiny. -they are tiny.

Right now. They get about 7 inches,

And the males will get

A bright, metallic red belly On them.

So, you've got that Beautiful blue body,

Beautiful yellow tail

That's really Bright and vibrant,

And then that bright red On the male.

It's really gonna Be impressive.

These are fusiliers, Right?

Yeah. That's right.

They're a circumtropic fish, Meaning just about

Any of the warm waters Around the world,

You'll find some type Of fusilier.

I like the schooling fish For his tank.

It'll be, like, very active. -yeah.

Yeah. That's what I was thinking.

Give him a lot of movement, Just like him.

Bam-bam-bam!

In and out and on his way, Right?

Perfect.

This is a killer one For clay.

Check this guy out.

This is called A klein's butterfly.

They come out of hawaii.

Well, you can find them A lot of places,

But they're all over In hawaii.

It's a great fish.

They actually, when they're Young, are cleaner fish.

So they're gonna help keep The tank, you know,

Happy and healthy When they're little,

And as they grow, wow,

They just get better And better.

You'll notice kind of A blue tint

In the top Of his face stripe.

That gets even More pronounced

And more vibrant As he gets old.

What do these guys eat?

They're omnivores, So they're gonna pick

On just about anything.

Okay. And being That it's a butterfly,

I'm assuming we could put Several of them in there.

Oh, yeah.

They're fantastic for Being together in a group

And keeping the tank Happy and healthy.

Yeah, And the color's so pretty.

They're gonna love it.

Got some really cool eels That just came in.

I think You'll like these guys.

These are Blue ribbon eels.

-how cool. -those are so pretty.

And what's cool about them Is that they all start off

As males, and they're black With the long, yellow ribbon

Down the back, right?

And, as they mature, they turn Blue like this all the way

To a solid yellow, pretty much, When they become a female.

-ah! -how long does that take?

Oh, usually About three years.

Heather: obviously get longer Than this, right?

They only get about 3 feet.

So they're not A real big eel.

They're great in a community Kind of setting

Where smaller food Is fed.

Or we have bigger eels.

Something like These guys, right?

Now, this is A tessalata eel that --

They get pretty big.

Agnes: we have one of those At our shop that's enormous.

-oh, we do. -yeah, they are neat.

They get inside the rocks And everything on the reefs.

Heather: well, I think They're both unique.

Very cool.

Can't we put both Of them in there?

No. He's a pretty Voracious eater.

So I think he might Actually eat that guy.

They got an eel.

Instead of just making The holes just halfway,

So this could be a home For, like, the eel?

An eel's natural hangout In the ocean

Is inside a hole or a crevice Where his head is only visible.

So we created a habitat For the eels that will

Allow them to find a safe burrow And make them comfortable

And more likely to thrive In the aquarium.

Well, I'm not setting there Feeding my face.

No, we're testing The cheese.

My idea was to build some corals

That remind clay Of field-goal posts.

So I've got denny here today, Bringing my idea to life.

Hey, denny.

Hey, ladies.

What is this?

It's your goalpost coral.

In what world?

It's a work in progress.

You can kind of see The coral shape.

It needs to look Like a goalpost.

We can't do it like we do Our normal coral.

That comes out of a mold With a rubbery material,

But we don't have a mold That's shaped that way.

So we're going to make This one from scratch.

It's not looking Very natural to me.

So, you want These more bendy?

Yeah.

All we do is we take a heat gun, And we can heat these up

And then bend them To whatever position we want.

When we get them to where We like them,

Put a little bit of water on it. It locks it into place.

Okay. Let's bend.

-tell me when you like it. -yeah, that looks good.

-yeah. Yeah. -I do like that.

-all right, so, here's what -- -hit it with the water.

Yep.

Heather: I think that looks good.

How hot is that gun?

About 1,200 degrees.

I pulled a texture stamp Off real coral.
