I was about seven years old.

My father started a pet store, And we had a lot of iguanas.

We had snakes.

We had bearded dragons.

Today, I'm 52, And I probably have at least

15 reptiles all over the place.

Bearded dragons Aren't really this red.

Why are they red? I always seem Them, like, a different color.

This guy's red. Why?

Jimmy: well, breeders Breed for color,

So over the years, They bred and bred them

To get that red like that,

And it's a hypo leatherback Red bearded dragon.

It's the number-one pet In the united states

Over dogs and cats.

Wayde: they're great pets. They come from australia.

That's where They originated from.

Now they cross breed them.

They have different colors.

They can get pretty big.

They can get up over 22 inches.

They're very cuddly.

They like Just to hang out and chill,

And I think it's one of the Easiest pets to take care of.

We'll fill his tank with 1,200 gallons of salt water

And vibrant, Handmade coral inserts,

Keeping the window clear For a duel-sided view.

We'll top it off with a team of Colorful saltwater fish,

Including butterfly fish, Angel fish, and tangs.

And once we complete the tank With sleek cabinetry,

This aquarium will be A first-round draft pick.

Then, next up, Reptile shop scales 'n tails

Is getting a 9.5-foot-tall tank From stand to jungle canopy.

We'll fill it with 350 gallons Of saltwater and exotic fish

Including a puffer, some eels, And a venomous lionfish.

We'll also insert reptile Replicas of frogs,

Lizards, And a bearded dragon.

We'll deck out the facade With complimentary

Tree and leaf theming,

And top if off with a huge, Lifelike anaconda.

And, back at our shop, It's all about the acrylic.

The cylinder tank For scales 'n tales

Will have to be molded In our oven.

While demarcus' L-shaped aquarium

Is made up Of straight pieces of acrylic,

They'll have to be glued At precise angles

To sit flush against his wall.

It's a huge coral insert, And I just got word

That we have a few surprise Visitors coming to our shop.

They're very comfortable up High, okay?

Sleep on the back of our bed.

When he showed up with an iguana In the passenger's seat

In the wild, They wouldn't be eating as much

As they do in captivity, So obviously

He's grown a lot more being fed On a regular basis

Than he would find Out in the wild.

We can make this guy to scale, Color everything,

And we'll fit him exactly Where you want him.

Jimmy: great, great.

What other animals do you have For us to check out?

These are a couple Of leopard geckos.

Oh, oh!

-put him down. -oh, he pooped on you?

No, he's licking me, But I don't want him to bite me.

-no, he's not gonna bite you. -he thinks you taste good.

Heather: I taste good? [ chuckles nervously ]

These guys are nocturnal.

They come out Mainly at night only.

You feed them crickets, Okay?

On these guys, If you put too many crickets in,

The crickets can actually kill These guys and eat their eyes.

-exactly. -oh, wow.

So people Have to be educated.

You know, don't just throw the Crickets in there and leave.

Make sure that they eat them, And if not, then take them out.

Jimmy: now we'll get out A snake for you.

It's a jungle carpet python.

-jungle carpet python. -this is like a ten.

Is it gonna be like a big ol' Snake you're gonna pull out now?

-wow. -oh.

Oh, he's ready to come out.

He is beautiful.

These are tree snakes,

So he just wants to feel like He's on branches.

Once you support him good, He's calm.

A jungle carpet python Is a python subspecies

That are native to A small region

Of the northwestern Australia rainforest.

Mature jungle carpet pythons Have relaxed dispositions

And are easy to handle.

Don't do that.

Wayde, I'm amazed At how comfortable you are

How long have you been Working with reptile?

I guess 50 -- eh...

43 years.

No, since I was a kid. -it definitely shows.

Growing up, When I was seven years old,

Most kids were Outside playing sports.

That's why I don't know much About sports.

I was inside.

I was learning A lot about reptiles, fish,

And this is where My passion began.

So, wayde, can we hide, Like, ten animals, ten reptiles,

And make them hidden so it's An interactive tank

Where we'll hide some A little bit more than others?

So you kind of got to look For it then see it.

We've been seeing them.

Yes, it is. You see those nice Big muscles back there.

He's got those big jaws For crunching down crustaceans.

That's definitely gonna be a Fantastic addition to this tank.

What kind of fish is it?

That is a mustard tang.

When you're diving, You'll see them in huge schools,

And that upper lip has these Little raking kind of teeth,

And they'll go up On to the rocks and scrape,

So you'll have just This big school coming along

Just cleaning, And after they've

Gone through a section Of the reef, it's spotless.

And do they stay at the bottom Of the tank since they like,

Like, the lower corals, Or do they go all over?

No, they will follow The rock line, basically.

So, they're gonna be Everywhere in your tank.

Demarcus is gonna Love this guy.

Check your tank For aggressive bullies.

You may have to remove A territorial fish

Or try to rearrange the aquarium To give everyone a fresh start.

It helps him grip better.

That it was important that you Wanted a lot of angels.

That one's a rarity In the fish industry.

That guy comes from australia,

So he came a long way To be at scales 'n tails.

Wow.

We have a flag-fin angel,

And they're gonna grow To about 8 inches.

You also have a skeletor eel.

He's rare and loves to hide.

And also, too, You have a volitan lion.

-beautiful. -they're really cool.

They're venomous to other fish,

But they use that Just to defend themselves.

Those guys can grow to be about 16 inches.

We worked with our guy denny To make the snake.

-that's awesome. -I think he did an amazing job.

It looks so realistic.

We're gonna have A line out the door

Just to see this awesome tank.

We got the reptile theme inside,

One right here, which is called The mustard tang,

Those guys can be A little bit aggressive,

But you want to make sure that They have algae in their diet.

This one's a beauty.

That's called a kerran angel,

And those guys can get up to be About 15 inches.

You're gonna find them In the red sea

Off the coast of south africa.

So, you have A threadfin butterfly,

And those guys come from The indo-pacific,

And they have some awesome Patterns on their skin,

But they also have small beaks So they can get in crevices

To pick up food.

What's the issue with the guy In the corner, here?

That's actually called a Harlequin tusk,

And he's part of The wrasse family.

They like to hide, And what they do is

Sometimes They perch themselves.

Some of the wrasses, they go Underneath the gravel or sand,

And they just Stick their heads up.

But he's fine, And that was a good question.

Weighing in at 3,400 pounds,

This cylindrical-shaped tank Is home to dozens of

Saltwater fish including a pair Of snowflake eels

And a school Of shimmering lookdowns,

And the whole thing Is topped off

With a giant Custom-made anaconda.

Next up, Nba star demarcus cousins' tank

Is as massive As his 6'11" frame.

His wall-to-wall aquarium towers Over even him at 9 feet tall,

And at 1,200 pounds, This l-shaped tank

Is teeming with vibrant Saltwater fish and coral.

You can expect to see An active blueface angel

And a curious mappa puffer Paling around.

And with some custom cabinetry To complete this look,

This showpiece might rival his Impressive trophy collection.
