I came up with a theme of The lost city of atlantis.

I think it's really interesting. It has some mystique to it.

For the las vegas Mini gran prix.

Their 25th anniversary Is coming,

And they're looking to celebrate With a brand-new attraction.

This extra-large aquarium For the mini gran prix

Will be the centerpiece Of the family fun center.

On a steel stand, we'll Construct a racetrack-shaped,

20-foot long, 4-foot high tank.

Inside, we will recreate

The legendary island Of atlantis,

Centered around The tank's two overflows.

We'll complete the look With a wooden facade, a canopy,

And we'll fill the tank With dozens of saltwater fish

Who will make this lost city Their new home.

Wayde: Chuy's guys are going to start Cutting the acrylic panels

That are going to bend In the oven.

The curves on this tank match One of our recent projects,

So we're going to save a lot Of time by reusing that mold.

All right, you might want To check with robert.

He's outside cleaning up All the crates and forms.

When we have Too many molds around,

They take up a lot of space, So we break them down.

She's still a baby. She's really young.

Most blue and golds can live Anywhere from, let's say,

70 years Up to 100 years.

But how do you know She's a blue and gold?

Well, I would say Blue and then gold.

Wait. She's a baby.

So how big Is she going to get?

Well, she'll fill out A little bit more,

But her wingspan can be up To almost three feet wide.

Is she going to get along With the other birds?

We're not sure. She's still young.

I think she'll be fine.

She's got a good personality. She's pretty quiet.

Does she talk yet?

Brand-new bird, So I'm not sure.

What we're going to do Is we gave you a sample color

To give That atlantis appearance,

It always had that, like, Deep blue,

Like it's been Under sea and stuff.

You know, that's An interesting point

Because you wouldn't want To have the buildings

All kind Of different colors.

Taylor: but when the city Got sunk,

All the buildings didn't Look the same color.

Every building they built Probably had

A different quirkiness To it.

He does realize atlantis Never really existed, right?

We can make The buildings vary,

But I would suggest Keeping them all

Within the same scheme Of color.

Don't make one building red And one building blue.

-they all need to look alike. -turquoise, maybe some purple.

Because after they've been Sitting underwater

For a couple hundred years,

They're all going to take on

That kind of same Patina look.

Fish are going to be swimming Around, very vibrant colors.

We have corals we place All over the place.

That's going to have Very vibrant colors.

So the tank is actually pretty Tall, and we need each level.

So you're looking for Different level swimmers?

-yes. -okay, let's do it.

For the mini gran prix, We have the pilot fish,

A very fast fish.

When you have a big tank Like you guys are building...

They zoom around.

...This is going to be A nonstop fish.

Oh, I like that.

A lot of times, they swim Underneath the sharks, right?

Right. It's a parasitic fish.

So when they have a big shark -- You know, they're messy eaters,

So these are the ones that Actually eat their leftovers.

Also, they will pick up the Parasites off of the big fish,

So it will Keep them healthier.

Is there a certain type of Fish that they need to follow?

They don't really need the host. They are a scavenger.

They can do okay On their own.

The markings on them Are beautiful, though.

Yeah, the stripe.

They're so vibrant. Kids are going to love that.

And they'll swim all Over the tank, which is nice.

There will be Constant movement.

So we're going to put A bunch of these in there.

This is a dwarf angel.

Max size about four inches, And that's it.

And with the flame angel,

Can you have More than one in there?

No, anything else Which has a similar body shape

Or the similar color, It's going to go and attack it.

Oh. We don't want that. Where will this fish swim?

Is it a top, bottom? All over the tank.

It's a grazing fish, So it's looking for algae

Up, middle, the bottom.

This is what it does All day long.

It's fast, and it's red like Some of the go-karts are.

With the steel stand On that side.

We're going to put A ratchet strap on it,

And we're going to Slowly inch this way.

So, jeff, I want you to stay Here, keep this 2x4 here

So when the tank Comes this way,

We know where it stops. Jeff: gotcha.

We'll use the strap As a pulley system

To move the tank In place inch by inch.

The tank's 20 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 4 feet tall.

Race-track shaped For the mini gran prix.

That's 21,000 pounds Sitting right here.

That's pretty big.

It just fits in there So good.

And it's just the right size For this room.

So, is it sitting In the right place?

You know what? It's about a quarter-inch off

In the back, But I think we're okay.

Brett: so when you guys First came to us,

One thing that You guys could agree on

Was the mythical theme atlantis.

The problem we had is you wanted It really, really bright,

And dad kind of wanted it Dialed down a little bit.

And this is what we created.

After looking at it now, The color is there.

You guys got Every different piece

Of coral color in there.

The buildings are painted Turquoise with this blue-green.

When you start Looking at it,

There's so much different Things and details.

Like, if you just keep Staring at it,

You're like, "Oh, look at that.

Oh, look at that. Oh, look at that."

There's something different On every turn.

You have over 100 fish in here.

You have something Called a unicorn tang.

And unicorn tang has an Appendage on its actual head

That looks like a unicorn.

Also, a coral cat shark.

They are going to dwell At the bottom.

They get to be about 28 inches.

You got a gold rim tang.

They come from hawaii, And they're dark gray

With a gold rim around the edge,

And that's where They get their name from.

You have a remora.

They eat parasites Off of the sharks,

And the sharks Actually protect them.

So they work together to keep Each other healthy and safe.

Jerry: The fish are so beautiful. It's a work of art.

This just puts a big smile On everyone's face.
