For the las vegas Natural history museum.

She told us they were gonna poll Museum-goers for ideas.

A carousel tank it is.

Well, obviously, if It's a carousel, it's Gonna have to be round.

I've never seen A square carousel before.

And we could even include, Like, some of the poles

To kind of make it look like An actual carousel.

What about as far as, You know,

What kind of fish Are you looking for?

We were thinking Seahorses.

Seahorses like To kind of grip,

So maybe we grip on to, like, The poles and so forth,

And it'll look like The seahorses

Are actually riding The carousel.

We want it to be fun, but it Also has to be educational.

Kate: it's got to be Something different,

Something that the families Can actually engage with

So that they're doing something And learning at the same time.

So something where you, Like, push,

And it actually, like, Talks to you?

It's got to be educational, Colorful,

Make sound, movable...

And be really cool. ...And be very cool.

Craig: I'm a fish guy And a wine guy. What can I say?

When I was a kid, like, We never had fish tanks,

But I always wanted them.

And now that I got my own store And I can have my own tanks,

I went from one tank to two To three to four.

Now I want Something impressive,

A statement tank For this store.

Brett: I mean, You got a lot of room in here,

So the options Are gonna be tremendous.

Dude, I can build anything You want in this store.

I'm thinking about In the back.

I want it someplace Where everybody --

When you walk in the doors, I want you to see it.

I don't want to just -- You'll come through the store.

Because then if we can put The filtration back there,

We can make the tank Even bigger.

It's got to be A bottle of wine,

Like, an actual bottle, But a big bottle.

We could take a cylinder -- Right? --

And kind of give it, like, An acrylic neck

So you could even see water And fish up high

Towards the neck, and make it Into an actual bottle.

We could do that.

I want it As tall as you can make it.

Anywhere between 12 to 14 feet.

You'll see that From across the parking lot.

That'd be great.

So, what about Interior themeing?

My idea is -- what if The napa valley or vineyards

Got flooded and you actually had Vineyards under water?

What would that look like, You know?

So, like, instead of The lost city of atlantis,

The lost vineyards of atlantis Underwater, basically.

And then all the fish would be Swimming through vineyards.

If you guys can do that And make it that big?

Because we don't know much About a carousel.

I've been on hundreds Of carousels.

Our next tank, guys -- we're Gonna be doing a wine bottle.

Like a cylinder-type Tank?

Yeah, We're gonna do a cylinder,

And then redneck's gonna add Some acrylic onto the top

To give it that neck. Oh, I am, huh?

What fish?

I don't know yet.

I got daughter drama To deal with first.

The older one Wants to go on a date.

My first date, really, Was a blind date.

We'd be sitting here all day

If I let my dad go on and on And on with these stories.

We got tanks to build.

The first tank we're starting To build is the wine bottle,

And this one's gonna take A lot of engineering.

You kind of stuck your foot In your mouth on this one, bro.

You promised the customer to Bend the acrylic to go up here.

I got to bend this piece in Like this, up like this.

I got to do this All the way around.

This is difficult 'cause several pieces of acrylic

Are gonna have to curve Around the perimeter

And up to the top of the bottle

And then be Seamlessly bonded together.

Look, You see this bottle?

You promised him from here up Would be acrylic.

Correct. Okay.

This is the access You're showing to get in here.

How are they gonna clean The tank with that?

It's not very big access.

So it's gonna be Very difficult.

Wayde's got a point.

Aesthetics are a big part Of building tanks,

But if you can't get in there To clean them,

You have to revise the plan.

Why don't we make this into, Like, an frp canopy,

Start from here, And go up?

Frp canopy means the top Is made out of fiberglass.

This portion of it would look Like that would be the canopy.

So you'd be able To literally,

Like, lift it off And lift it on.

You can get into it. You can service it.

Let me see what magic I can work, all right?

Is gonna make it a lot easier For feeding,

A lot easier for water changes, And a lot easier for access.

And I told the client That I could build a whole top

Out of acrylic.

How are they gonna clean The tank with that?

Is gonna make it a lot easier For feeding,

A lot easier for water changes, And a lot easier for access.

So, we're actually gonna make Your fish tank dispense wine.

Yeah, your clients Are gonna be able

To come up to that aquarium, Pull on a spigot,

And out of that spigot Is gonna come some merlot.

I'm sure wayde and redneck Will think my flash of genius

Is just as exciting As craig thinks it is.

Whew! Man, we dodged a bullet.

This bottle Will definitely stand out

From the other 10,000 In the wine store.

A 3-foot stand Will be the platform

To a 7.5-foot-tall cylinder.

Bottled inside will be Handcrafted vineyards

To serve as a picturesque home

To a robust cast Of saltwater beauties.

We'll top if off With a shiny fiberglass canopy,

Which will make this tall drink

Almost hit the store's 18-foot-high ceiling.

And since great fish Are paired with great wine,

A functioning spigot Will allow the vino to flow

Right out Of our bottle vineyard.

No doubt this tank will be Vintage atm.

Before we have The wine tap figured out,

I have brandon and redneck Putting stripes on poles

For the carousel tank.

The problem That I see already...

You're seeing the black.

You're seeing The opposite side of that.

These clear poles will be Spinning inside the tank,

But when your eyes see stripes On the other side,

You can hardly tell it's moving.

If there's any way we can Sandblast it or paint it...

Yeah, We can sandblast it.

Sandblasting the acrylic rods Will make them less transparent,

And we'll avoid Seeing the stripes

Coming through On the opposite side.

Grab that, redneck.

Oh, yeah, That's a lot better.

Solid enough? It's all right.

Right?

Let's do the light test.

We plan to put lights In the tank

To shine through these poles

To give it A little carnival flair.

So we have to make sure The light isn't lost on them.

So, if we put the light here And a light -- look at that.

Look at the difference. Yeah, big difference.

Oh, we definitely got to go With the sandblasting.

Now we just have to add A little red paint

To make it pop Like a striped carousel pole.

All right, Let me see that.

Let's put the light Underneath it.

Stand it up.

Look at that, huh?

I think If we peel that tape off,

I think this is gonna Look great.

More coats And we're good to go.

Brett: this cylindrical Saltwater carousel aquarium

Will definitely Turn museum-goers heads.

Marine-themed carousel poles Will rotate

To give this aquatic attraction Some movement.

A carnival-style carousel facade Will punctuate the festive look.

On the inside, Dozens of live seahorses

Will make this tank Their new home.

And once we add Our interactive audio component,

The entire museum will revolve

Around the newest And coolest exhibit.

Heather: Today, we're going out for a Family lunch with the girls.

But today, I have to have An uncomfortable conversation

With my older daughter, taylor, About dating.

From gist specialties To see the progress he's making

On the facade For the wine-bottle tank.

This is the bottom that's gonna Wrap around our steel stand.

So, you put the gel down,

Then you put The fiberglass on it,

And then the gel Over it again.

That makes it nice and hard.

Can we do it with you? Yeah, absolutely.

Dude, this stuff's itchy. Be careful.

Slide over, big dipper.

Let the little dipper in.

Wayde: we're brushing on several Layers that will dry and harden

And form the base Of the wine bottle.

By doing what we're doing Right now -- as you see,

The fiberglass is really soft And pliable, right?

So, when you add The resin to it,

The resin Saturates the fiberglass

And it creates kind of, like, A cross-link through the fibers.

And once it does that, it makes These things like needles.

They literally become strong As, like, steel almost.

All right, so, This is the first coat,

And you still got to put A few more coats on?

Yep. We'll head back to our shop.

When you get that, Snap some pictures, show us,

So I decided to record Some seahorse facts

That the visitors would hear.

Better known As the great seahorse.

They're found in shallow seas In part of the western pacific,

Piece by piece Over at gist specialties.

A team of woodworkers are Building the base and canopy.

And for the wine-bottle tank, The top and bottom

Is being sanded and polished To look like glass.

Several coats of airplane paint

Will give it a reflective, Shiny finish.

Back at the shop, Redneck and brandon

Sculpted hills out of foam For the wine-bottle insert

That will help replicate A vineyard.

Then they covered it With a layer of polygen

To make it fish-safe.

And now we're checking out The next step.

Explain what you got here. I see some, like, fishing line.

Redneck: in a grape field, You have posts every so often

Down the road with wire Running down through them

To hold the grapevines up Off the ground.

We're gonna use some...

Greenery. ...Greenery.

We'll end up wrapping them So that they --

Look like grapevines.

This is the dye we use for Underwater to find the leaks.

We use dye for the injection Cracks for the pools.

Yeah, To find the leaks.

We're checking out Redneck's plan

To get wine out of our tank.

And then this valve's going Through the tank and the hose.

So, like, The tank's right here.

This is on the outside. This is on the inside.

Right. And I'll actually end up Notching this out.

And then they'll be able to Pull this, dispense the wine.

And dispense the wine Out of that.

How does the wine get through The hose and so to here?

In theory, The gravity-feed system,

Which is basically What this is representing.

You put the wine in here.

Gravity feeds it Down through.

Gravity feed?

That looks like something We rigged up in college

To drink beer.

Yeah, now you can apply Your collegiate skills.

Let's give it a test.

Is to insert dividers So we can easily display

Two different types Of seahorses.

So redneck put holes Through an acrylic panel

That would allow All the water to flow

Through the same Filtration system.

After our Wine-making fiasco,

Wayde and brett thought we had Too much time on our hands.

Agnes: So they sent us fish shopping.

We're shopping For two really cool tanks.

Yes, The first one is a huge

Wine-bottle tank For a wine shop.

And the second tank is actually A carousel with seahorses.

Nice.

Let's take a look Through the warehouse

And see What we can find, okay?

What do you guys think Of these?

Green chromis. Green grapes, green leaves.

Green grapes. Green vines. Yes.

Some people call them Blue-green chromis,

'cause depending on the light, The way it hits them,

The green chromis Is a great idea.

We need purple fish. I had a great idea for purple.

One of my favorites -- Purple tang.

Here you go, heather.

Heather: Right? Look how cool.

It's calming. It is calming.

Kind of like wine.

And I love the fact That purple tangs

Have different, like, shades, You know?

Like, some are really deep, And some are not as deep.

Like wine.

Wine, as it ages, gets a little More rich and stuff.

Same with the purple tang.

The longer You have it in your tank,

It gets a little darker.

So that'll work out really good In the wine tank.

That's awesome.

What about For the carousel tank?

Straight that way. Let's go look at the seahorses.

Wrap themselves around them Or...

Yeah, it gives them A place to hold on to.

One thing really interesting About seahorses, too,

Is they have to eat, like, On a continuous basis,

'cause the food kind of goes Straight through them.

They don't have, like, a large Stomach to hold food in.

I wish that happened to me.

Well, I think we got great fish.

It's a very small motor.

The reason for it is --

We didn't want it To go real fast

And actually hurt The seahorses.

We wanted it to go Nice and slow

So they can have a nice, Comfortable ride and enjoy.

There's two different species Of seahorses.

And one, We have the kelloggi...

The kelloggi.

...Seahorse, which is known As the great seahorse.

And we also have The longsnout seahorse,

Which is a little bit smaller Of a seahorse.

Good thing is -- They put a divider in

To separate them so they don't Have to compete for food,

Because seahorses Are very competitive.

For this tank is installed In the back room.

Because once that tank's full, It's full.

So, now I need to check On the line

That's actually gonna Deliver the wine

To the front of the tank.

And in the morning, they wake up And they get puffed up.

They're a little swollen.

So inside of there, We got a puffer, okay?

So we actually gave you A little mini-winery.
