Despite having the most weight,

And caught the attention
of the other teams.

Scott and Lori keep

And I'm sitting here looking, "really?"

At the end of the day, I
think we all see through

the game a little bit.

Married couple Brett and
Mark had taxi troubles.

I typed in the right one and
he clicked a different one.

We are now 43 minutes
in the wrong direction.

But their competitive
spirit kept them in the race.

In the end, Jonathan

we were forced to make
some tough decisions.

Some of those decisions
may come back to haunt us.

Last summer, we found
out we were pregnant.

Unfortunately, the baby
was not growing in the uterus.

It's what they call an ectopic pregnancy.

Our baby was not gonna make it.

You're trying to grieve a child
that you had already named,

and then your life is endangered.

It was just really scary.

I wasn't sure if I was gonna come home.

But Jonathan was just
the ultimate partner.

I think that just

solidified our unity as a married couple.

We've gone through hell
and back, and we're ready

to ride out into that rainbow

and just, you know,
kill it on this race, man.

but making relationships with people.

To survive this race,

we're happy to be,
like, right in the middle.

Before the amazing race,

Scott and I were wanting to lose weight.

In nine months, I had lost
70 pounds, and then Scott is

With the weight loss, I think

of being able to enjoy better health.

is, really, five teams

tightly grouped together,

and we feel like we're in
a good position with them.

So I don't feel like they would really,

if they got ahead of us,

necessarily do anything to hurt us.

It's a beautiful morning in
Bali. The sun is just coming up,

and we're headed to the monkey forest,

which I cannot contain
my excitement about.

We're leaving in fifth this morning.

We feel pretty good about
it, because I think last leg,

we kind of got our mojo back a little bit.

We're really excited to just
make up some spots today.

It's us versus the challenges

and the roadblocks and the detours,

not us versus each other.

We're gonna be monkeying around.

Detour. "Coconuts or coral?"

This is the primary reason
that people come to Bali.

The pristine white sand beaches.

This detour gives teams
a chance to choose

between two sustainable
Indonesian exports:

Coconuts and coral.

Coconuts are grown on farms,

and Indonesia is the world's
leading coconut grower,

big business for more
than six million farmers

here in Indonesia.

Known as the tree of
life, it's used for fuel,

medicine, building supplies

and, of course, tasty coconut milk.

This detour requires teams

to use a bicycle to deliver 60 coconuts

to a beach café along the shoreline.

Once they've stacked
them up like the locals,

they'll get a clue.

Indonesia is part of the coral triangle,

the most bio diverse

marine ecosystem on the planet.

This is the perfect
place to regrow new coral

that can be distributed around the world

in an ongoing effort to replenish reefs.

It all starts

with a hexagonal structure
like this... a reef star.

This detour requires teams

to attach five species of coral

onto one frame,
snorkel with it out to sea,

and then plant it on the ocean floor.

Once the coral is safely
in place, they'll get a clue.

Do you trust your ability
to understand the ocean,

to tie things down?

I've never done it before.

Coral seemed a lot more intricate,

and we just knew that coconuts

was just a grunt task
that we would get it done.

Tough way to start the day.

We knew we were definitely a target, and

we expected it. We
just weren't ready for it.

I think

when the heat kicks in, I
just need to give him his space

and let him just kind of work through it.

When I've been at my
lowest, he's been the one

that pushes me and
holds me and picks me up.

So

I need to be that for him,
too, when he needs me.

And I know that is today. That was today.

I think what I take from this leg is that

reality is never gonna meet expectations.

I know, individually, I can
out compete anybody here.

That was my expectation.

But this season of the race

is just so unpredictable,

and there's so many twists and turns

and I don't think, it
would have been possible

for me to win every leg in this,

this season. This is just

not at all how I
envisioned, my race going.
