[Marry Me, My Evil Lord]

[Episode 18: The Master revealed his identity in the Jinluan Hall]

My lord,

you have my unwavering loyalty.

If you don't believe me,

I'm willing to kill myself

to prove my innocence.

What are you doing?

I never doubted you.

I've sent someone

to secretly investigate your case.

I will definitely clear you.

You and I will protect His Majesty

during the welcome ceremony in the Jinluan Hall tomorrow.

Thank you, my lord.

Shi Jianchuan, what did you do?

Please forgive me, Your Highness.

What I did

is unforgivable.

I deserve to die.

What did you do to me yesterday?

I...

Your Highness, I…

You took me to your room

while I was drunk

and humiliated me.

I'll tell my father and His Majesty.

I know I made a drunken mistake.

It's unforgivable.

If you want me to die,

I'll kill myself now

to clear your name.

No, I didn't say you should die.

I was just kidding.

After you left early in the morning,

I found that you were quite nice to me.

I used to have feelings for Moyan.

So,

I didn't notice how good you were to me.

Last night...

I made a drunken mistake last night

and humiliated you.

Don't worry. I'll be responsible.

What? You don't want to?

Of course I want to.

Your affection

is my honour.

I fell for you

the first time I met you.

But I'm a man of humble origins,

I didn't dare to tell you.

I was happy enough to be your

secret guardian.

No more.

My husband

must be confident

and admirable.

You must have a remarkable achievement

and do better than Moyan.

I will do my best to achieve my aspirations.

I won't fail you.

You look cute when you're serious.

I didn't realize

you were my type.

Watch out, Your Highness.

Hide here. Don't come out.

He's hot.

It's time.

Are you ready?

Priest, how is your injury?

Maybe we should go back.

I'm okay.

Where else do you want to go later?

I can go with you.

Mr. Leng, which rebel are you trying to arrest now?

I'm here to take her away.

Have you forgotten, Mr. Leng?

Miss Shiqi is under His Majesty's order to protect me.

His Majesty's order:

To investigate the rebels' conspiracy to assassinate His Majesty,

all the government departments and agencies

are under the leadership of the Investigation Bureau

until the Mid-Autumn Sacrificial Ceremony.

Any other questions?

Let's go.

There are so many soldiers in the capital.

Why do you have to take her?

What I do

has nothing to do with you.

Enough.

Are you two done?

No one's asking about what I want.

It's a good opportunity for you to get promoted.

Of course you should go back with me.

Are you saying

I'll only be promoted if I goes back to the Investigation Bureau?

I want to go back to the Secret Guards Department.

Unfortunately,

the Secret Guards Department is also under my control.

Let’s go.

Protect the Priest.

Yes, my lord.

Your Majesty,

the Persian envoys have brought back a lot of things.

They also brought back a national treasure-level gift from the King of Persia.

They would like to present it to Your Majesty.

Good, present the gift.

Protect His Majesty! Protect His Majesty!

Don't let anyone escape!

Be careful, Your Majesty!

Your Majesty!

Jianchuan, what are you doing?

Get His Majesty out of here first.

Don't go with him.

He's behind all of this.

Priest, what are you talking about?

Shi Jianchuan, deputy of the Investigation Bureau,

is deeply involved in many cases.

He tried to assassinate His Majesty in public today.

Leng Moyan must have something to do with it.

My lord,

I'll meet you on the other side.

What are you doing?

Shengu Feng.

You can’t

frame me.

Do you know why?

Because he's not Leng Moyan.

He is actually Marquis Lu, my trusted confidant.

In order to suppress the rebels,

I decreed that no one could know he was dead.

You may leave.

Yes, Your Majesty.

I had my studying companion,

Marquis Lu to pretend to be Leng Moyan

and be the chief of the Investigation Bureau.

He has lived up to my expectations these two years.

Master.

Leng Moyan and Fox don't look alike at all.

And you didn't tell?

Leng Moyan handled cases viciously and had many enemies.

So he always wore a mask to hide his identity

and used a fake voice.

No wonder his behaviour suddenly

changed over a year ago.

And he took off his mask.

It wasn't him.

Your Majesty, even if he's Marquis Lu,

he can't be cleared of the suspicions of assassination and rebellion.

Because he has a hidden identity.

What?

He was an illegitimate son of the late Emperor

when he visited the people in disguise.

His mother was a lowly woman.

So the late Emperor hid the truth

and brought him to the palace in the name of a studing companion.

Priest.

Do you have any evidence?

I found these letters and a love token

between the late Emperor and his mother in his family's ancestral home.

The evidence is solid.

Marquis Lu, are you going to deny it?

I remember

you were indeed brought into the palace by the late Emperor.

He even gave you a name.

Lu,

is the Priest telling the truth?

Your Majesty, it's true.

If it's the truth,

why didn't you tell me?

Marquis Lu is dissatisfied with his status.

He planned to infiltrate the palace

and attempted to assassinate Your Majesty and usurp the throne.

Please be judicious, Your Majesty.

Marquis Lu,

I've always treated you well.

I never thought I'd bring disaster upon myself.

Guards!

Lock him up in the imperial prison.

Yes.

Your Majesty, I didn't tell you the truth.

But I never thought of usurping the throne.

Please be judicious, Your Majesty.

Your Majesty, I can testify for him.

Marquis Lu will never rebel.

We have witness and evidence.

Whoever pleads for him

will be put into prison.

But Your Majesty...

Your Majesty.

Mei Shiqi is young and ignorant.

She didn't think it through.

I'll punish her severely

after we go back to the Department.

Take him away.

Marquis Lu.

Move.
